I tried to return the truck through online and the website was not working. I had told the counter people and they still charged me $20 for not doing it online. I said that I have a proof that it was working the website. I have used the mobile application to have access to my rental for the first time, expecting it would save time at the counter and reprocessing information on site. Overall, it worked well but took longer than going the human route and waiting in line, having to reenter and add more credentials from my phone. The mobile app is a good move, still needs some improvement. Return with the clerk was easy and fast.Jean A.

Personel courteous and efficient. Internet reservation was a bit tedious; one flaw was, for the driver's license, the direct link to my tablet's camera with no choice of selecting an existing file. Before taking the truck we contest that there were damages not marked and when iwe returned the truck i was charged 40 cad for these damages. So i have to call and open a case and of course it took me about an hour. Terrible management, The girls in front when I am physically there - are very helpful and know their stuff, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to resolve ANY issue, on the phone - which never answered and transferred to main UHAUL line, where they have no idea how to help. I work extensive hours and it was a perpetual mess to ask for help or solve anything online / in the phone. PLUS : they were bothering everyone for late payments. I AM OK to pay extra fee if I am late, since I travel a lot for work and pay bills only during dedicated hours, but 10 phone calls to my members of family, and my work stuff for 350$/month - is is a true over exaggerating. On your registration as well as pickup and drop off applications, you have these sections where people are required to take photos from their phones. When you click the button, it launches straight to camera. Instead of doing this, allow the user to choose between their file explorer or camera. Personally my phone camera is completely broken so I literally had to call a friend to help in order to return my truck. Overall, my experience as a customer of what I believed was a reputable business was terrible. I was falsely reassured over the phone twice by local employees (when requesting information about fees associated with 1 additional day of locker occupancy), and harassed to complete a payment afterwards, feeling cornered. I have felt hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hoodwinked, and led astray by the numerous UHaul employees I have spoken to. The service was expensive. Even at the price we paid ($165+tx), we had restricted hours. When we once made it a few minutes before the closing time, our code would not work. Also, having to pay for a whole extra month when I only needed it for 2 days into a new month was extremely annoying - if they could have at least prorated by the week, it would have been much more reasonable. Finally, when I wanted to close the account, since I was no longer in the city, I called the branch several times to discuss arrangements but I kept being put through to the central call centre. The call would send a message to the branch to call me back but it took 3 messages before the branch ever called back. And then, when we went in person to close the account, the service was extremely slow. J'étais extrêmement déçue et frustrée d'apprendre surplace que je ne pouvais pas bénéficier du mois gratuit d'entreposage que j'avais discuter par téléphone. D'après la personne de l'acceuil il arrive souvent que le standard se trompe. Mais là c'est une erreur d'environ 300$ qui est très fâcheux. La personne du standard m'a juste indiqué que je devais d'abord avoir louer le camion avant la location de l'entrepot. Ma location d'entrepot était pour l'aveil donc j'ai fait changer la date de réservation d'entrepot sur ses conseils. I would usually give UHaul an excellent rating, but for this move it was a disaster. I had pre-arranged the rental of a second locker for Oct 1 and was careful to ask whether it was OK if I came later to put the lock on because the moving truck would be arriving sometime between the 10th and the 18th of the month. When I got there, I discovered that the locker was rented to someone else. i was told that according to your policy, if someone does not come to put their lock on the locker quickly enough, the reservation is cancelled. I guess I understand why, because you have a lot of no-shows, but I was under the impression that I would start to be charged from the 1st of October automatically. This caused
