U-Haul location on 34th in Houston forgot to include the furniture pads with my box. I had to leave my apartment when the movers were there to pick them up. My box delivery was delayed 3 times. Original guaranteed date was the 7th, then the 12th, and then the 24th. I spoke with several U-Haul employees and no one could give me a straight answer on what the situation was with my belongings. Most employees were clueless, rude, and unsympathetic to my situation. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and I will be speaking with management about this.

Employees give false information regarding the extended hours and still charge you a whole day for only a hour when really you just so happen miss the person working there while they are pulling out the lot. Being a hurricane victim struggling to make a living having to move out of your home with no money to waste and uhaul will take your last even if they know you situation and that you've been evacuee and doing it with three kids alone. This was my last time using uhaul and the I will never go

I was doing a major move from one city to another and had movers booked to load the truck. I ordered furniture dollies on two separate orders from this store. On bother occasions, when I arrived at the store they informed me that they did not have furniture dollies. The furniture dollies were important for my move as we were moving heavy furniture from a 3 story home and had to walk the furniture about 30 yards from the house to the truck. Without the dollies it took the movers 3 times the amount of time, which in turn cost me three times more money. In my opinion, this store owes me about $400 for the extra cost incurred because they did not provide what was ordered, and didn't give me notice in advance that they were not going to provide it.

The truck had a lot of issues, including the normal headlights being disabled (I had to use the highbeams for my 100 mile return trip), the side mirrors not tightened (they wouldn't stay in the position I set them, and drooped until I couldn't see traffic around me at all), and the cab light was busted, so I unloaded all my items in the dark. It was irritating, dangerous, and seriously unprofessional.

We had everything reserved on line. When we arrived to pick up the rental they said since I was from another state they needed an alternative ASSURANCE like a passport green card original utility bills. A drivers license and a credit card was not enough. A deposit on the credit card was not enough. In the end she kept my wrist watch that I got back when I returned the van. This whole thing is ridiculous. Especially because the watch was worth $50!! Only.

Manager is not too cordial, her people skills are not very good. Reviews from internet said this location had bad customer service, my experience and watching her deal with a customer issue verified this. Initial reservation done by another employee was setup up wrong even though we went through what I needed a couple of times. Employee was pleasant but clearly was not listening even though she repeated back what my choice was. I drove away, received my email confirmation, pulled over to quickly review and saw it waa done wrong, it was not the equipment reserved it was completely wrong. Good thing I stopped and looked. Details, details!

Have equipment available that was requested online during reservation, or at least warn customers that items like dollies won't be available. I only received 2 out of the 5 dollies I requested, and the rep didn't apologize for the inconvenience. The response was simply, "I don't have five available, only two."

Very professional and attentive. I wanted to purchase boxes and didn't have to wait in line. The guy walked up with a hand held devise that even took my bank card. He took the boxes to my vehicle and I was done. Went back later and picked up a truck... Everything went smoothly.

I think everything is perfect, I've been going to this U-Haul since I moved to Houston 4 years ago and the service has always been Great just like the employees.

3 people behind the counter. One asked me what I wanted after a while. Couldn't be bothered to actually walk me out to the truck and walk around it with me. Just pointed out the window and said" its out there". I asked again which one it was and she said, " its out therer with a number on it". I rented it for a day and had to argue with her to get it for 24 hr rental. She said she needed it early for another rental. BS. The rate I paid was for 24 hrs. unless the length of a day has changed. Inside cab was dirty. Windshield wipers were worn out. Steering wheel was filthy. A 100 ft. extension cord was laying on the ground by the front of the truck. I picked it up and moved it so i would not run over it. When I returned the truck it was still where I left.it. Upon return there were two people behind the counter. One guy was on the computer and never looked up. Never said someone would be with me. Just ignored me even though I stood directly in front of him. Finally a lady came in and asked if I was returning the truck, etc. I will go to your competitors from now on. To address what you can do to improve. You might figure out who is paying your salary ( your customers) and then develop a plan of customer service based on that. Regards, David

When i walked in and got the u-haul and they told me that we will give you 50 miles for the 3 days rent and you'll get cherged extra 40 cents after each extra mile. I rented it another 2 days extra and thought that i'll get more miles but they did not give me anything. When i returned it back they charged me for 20 miles and not 50 miles and had to pay 34 miles extra because my total mileage was 54 miles. I only drove no more than 44miles and when i asked them how much was the milaege on the truck when i took it, they said they don't know. So how come they knew i drove 54 total miles and not told me how many miles i started with. This is not acceptable and i'd like a personnal to call me please. 713-5396600.

Our experience was awful and still has not been made right. Our truck was confirmed and was not available at said pickup time. We waited over 2 hours for them to tell us that it was not coming at all. After saying "sure it should be here any minute" They finally called the main center to help us find a different location. That location was almost an hour away. No refund, credit or anything was offered except for the $50 guarantee which we have yet to see almost 2 weeks later when they promised it would be in there within 24 hours!! When I called in to complain the person that took my information to give to a supervisor for a call back, put me into the system for moving help instead. So I has numerous phone calls from mover services trying to get me to use their service that I never even mentioned. i figure they did that on purpose since I asked for a supervisor. Again. No call back, nothing done. Huge waste of time that put us across state a day late. With a huge move, a baby, and a tight work schedule this was a horrible experience! I have used uhaul before but will not ever use their services again. and maybe one day we will even get our 'joke' of a $50 guarantee refund! doubtful..

When I order a vehicle from one location, why accept the booking, confirm thebooking and then on the morning of pick-up notify me thst I need to go to another location. On a 15 mile rental, this caused me to go 10miles out of the way. Not impressed.

This location was great, as well as the staff however my reservation had been transferred to another location that was not opened! I ended up going to this location on 34th on my own and finding this equipment . I spoke to customer service that was absolutely no help!

Put a grease witch on the crank that raises and lowers the trailers and grease them regularly as you would with a lube job on your car/truck. This would cut down on much lost labor time and make the jack function smoothly. This would also cut down on intangible negatives such as: customer irritation; employees looking bad in front of customers; product showing itself to be ill maintained; disgruntled employees (difficulty of operating equipment);

It was not the service the people that work there were great great customer service but your prices are horrible and I feel like your lie you have $19 written on the side of your truck or your van I use that van to take one load and I brought the van back a day late and it cost me $300 I don't understand it y'all charge me 157 from the get-go I understand why was 157 if it's 19 a day then you take $90 and hold it and supposed to give it back but when you're a day late you take the $90 and then charge me another $57 so another $147 I paid so and also I couldn't bring it back to where I live I moved 80 miles away and how to drive all the way back and fill the gas tank up it was horrible and went from thinking I was getting a good deal maybe under $100 at the most to maxing out a credit card I have $360 on my credit card and you took every bit of it I don't understand how it goes from 19 something a day to $300 in 2 days like it just doesn't make sense so I'll never use the brand Uhaul ever again nothing to do with your workers like I said very good workers is your prices suck in your liars and I'll never use it ever again I could have paid the furniture people $75 to deliver it it made sense when I looked across the street and seen $19 on this truck for me to go spend $19 instead of the 75 but I'll never do that again screwed

I wish I wouldn't get charged to drop it off at another location that's within certain distance. I understand if it's out of town there's a fee but if it's within the city there shouldn't be a fee.

Only one chair to sit in to wait for service. If I'm returning a truck, chances are I'm beat and could use a comfortable seat while the attendant is helping the customer before me... Attendant was not clear with me how the drop-off procedure was supposed to work and I ended up waiting a couple minutes beside the truck while she sat in the front seat texting somebody. Then later told me I was clear to leave but she never had me sign anything and didn't ask to see my paperwork. She stopped to send at least three text messages between the desk and the truck and then once more, for considerably longer, in the cab of the truck. Not sure she even realized I was there until she looked up and saw me standing in front of the truck. Then told me I was free to go. Did not turn me away from future business with Uhaul but seemed very unprofessional, incomplete and impersonal.

I made a reservation for a 26' and then called back and changed it to a smaller size. The 1-800 rep also changed the pick up location without telling me. I also was never asked if it was a one way or round trip and they scheduled the return at a downtown location without telling me a again. I had to call back to change the drop off to the location I picked up. I was also charged $44 for dropping off at 11 instead of 9:00. Glad to know there are other companies I can look at the next time I need a truck.

The drivers side door wouldn't close all the way. The whole time I was driving I had to keep opening and shutting the door attempting to close the door all the way even while driving and this was huge safety concern for me. I took a picture of the indicator on the dash saying the door is open while I was driving. This is unacceptable.

When I tried to call in to reserve the rental the lady who was trying to help me was very friendly, but it was apparent that she was not familiar with taking calls or Uhaul rental products. During the call I was put in hold a few times and finally disconnected. Upon calling back the second time we were interrupted several times and finally I hung up and booked online. Other than that the experience with the staff on hand when I picked up and dropped off the rental provided outstanding customer service. I suggest booking online - much easier.

It seems as though not enough questions are asked about the vehicle or hitch ahead of the time when we go to get the trailer. When we went to hook up the trailer there was a question about whether the hitch was the right kind or size. That could have been ascertained over the phone when we made the reservation. Otherwise, great place.

Hanna Garcia is a definite asset to Uhaul! She is very knowledgable about Uhaul, personable, and very customer service oriented. She could work anywhere and do well. Very impressed with her! I had a overcharge to my bill and she knew it was wrong. She called corporate the next day and found it was a glitch in Uhaul's software. My brother bought a bike rack from Uhaul and needed more information. Hanna wasn't working but came to help him with what he needed. She was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Again, a major asset for Uhaul!!!!!

The trailer I rented was fine. Personnel were fine. VERY disappointed in misleading in-store signage regarding moving pads. Signage says 6 pads for $5.00. It does not say "per day". Since it did not specify 'per Day', I thought it was per rental. So instead of a $5 charge, it cost me $20! If I knew it was $5 per day, I would have bought pads from Harbor Freight for The same $$! I request a $15 refund from Uhaul. The representative was apologetic but not able to adjust the charge. It seems clear that the intent on Uhauls part WAS to mislead... otherwise you would simply say on signage " 6 pads for $5 per day" ! Please correct the signage & refund my $15.00! This turned my positive rental to a negative one!

Jean and his crew are very professional. This has been the best Uhal location i have rented from.The worst experience I had was with the West Palm Beach Fl location. The website says optional on the drop off location The Rep when I check in does not verify none of the information. I get to Houston Tx and i was told to drive back that nothing can be done.Jean from the Houston location contacted the It support and was able to help me. Uhaul charged me an additional 621.80 because i had a local delivery. That was so unfair , just because there incompetent customer service rep was not doing her job.

Good Morning, my overall experience with this location was not the best. First I called and spoke with Anna. I told her that my trip was a one way from Houston, TX to Thomasville, GA could the reservation be made on a credit card, but at the time of checkout be placed on another card, to which she stated yes. When i went to pick up the U-Haul I interacted with Justin, who was nice, but let me know that i could not do that with my credit card and that all payment would be due upfront. He also informed me that no one by the name Anna worked there and sorry for the misinformation. From there out the drive was fine and the U-Haul did its job. I returned the U-Haul a day early. The man from the U-Haul here in Thomasville gave me a call about the mileage. He could not believe that we could have put 4000 miles on the U-Haul and manage to turn it in early, a sort of red flag went off for him. Thank god because U-Haul had charged me an extra $1300 for this overage. Come to find out Justin had put the starting mileage at 6000 something, when it was actually at 9000 something. This sent me into calling several people. The 1-800 number that i was disconnected and never had a call back from. The store at 34th where they told me they couldnt help me because a manager wasnt there. Which when i called i spoke with Anna - who does work there, with Justin. So Justin had lied about her not working there. So after several phone calls to several places i have now received the refund for the mileage overage, but overall was not satisfied with the service provided by the 34th street U-Haul store. However here in Georgia the customer service was great, and thankful that they pointed out the mileage overage so that could be addressed.

We rented the vehicle for pickup at one location, assumed we'd guaranteed it with our credit card and received emails that the pickup location had changed three times afterward. When we finally picked up the truck your representative was callused and indifferent to our comments and dissatisfaction. We rented the truck because we needed it but would have simply left if we'd had other options. Then we had to go to another location to pick up a furniture dolley. Overall, it was the poorest experience a paying customer should have to endure. We will seek other options next time.

These guys actually mop out the back of the truck, wipe down the interior of the cab, and spray it with a delightful fragrance that lasted thru the day during my move! And like a dork, I left my car keys at home so they kindly let me drive the truck back to my house to get my keys! I would go out of my way to rent from this location any time!

When I picked up the truck the computer wouldn't let the lady charge me for the dolly so she said it would be free for me having to wait. Then the mileage was off by 2 miles but I wasn't aware so when I returned she charged me for the 2 extra miles and the dolly. The return lady didn't bother to ask me about the dolly she just added it to the rental and charged me and when I tried to explain about the mileage and she was rude and said I should have read my paperwork.

First let's talk about the confirmation email I got to pick up trailer at 5333 North Freeway. I got there and they didn't have my trailer that I had to go to the 34th St. Location. Which was a long way from where I was. They never apologized and would not call and confirm they had a trailer for me before I drove there. I get to the 34th St location and had to wait forever before I was waited on. The lady that was there had her purse in hand and said she had to leave. That left one person there to wait on 3 customers. Not sure if he was new. He had to call someone on the phone to complete my order. It took forever. Overall, a very crappy experience!

The service and the people were awesome. The only negative is that when the charged me the charge hit my card within 15 minutes but when they had to credit me back the $34.88 that I had been overcharged, well, that was Tuesday and today is Thursday and the credit has not hit my card yet. One should be as quick as the other.

Oh let's see.....Have the store they schedule their pickup at actually OPEN when they arrive. Or even open shortly there after....When they call customer service, have the first person help them instead of somehow "accidentally" sending them to another operator where they have to start over again...Then, after they drive 15 plus miles to another location to pick up an available truck, have that location put them to the front of the line instead of waiting three people deep....AND finally, ensure the second location has a fully functioning system to take credit card information, INSTEAD of being forced to go to the ATM to get cash and come back to wait in line again....The 2 and 1/2 hour delay was disastrous to my moving schedule and frustrating to not only myself, but my family who had been on hand to help me in my move. I can assure you, I will never use UHaul again and I will dissuade ever person I possibly can from using your "service".

Poorly designed. My 10x10 in tampa has a wide hallway and a garage-style door. This 10x10 has a 36 inch door that`s inside a narrow hallway. Too tight.
