Customer service was terrible. I called over the phone to reserve a truck and do it online and had to constantly follow up or change my request. The representative told me there was glitch in the system and still couldn’t provide with any support to reserve a truck. The Customer service support over the phone was waist of time.

I was charged for more mileage than what I actually drove. I drove a total of 19 miles but was charged for 38 miles, double the amount I actually drove. I was also charged for a utility dolly AND appliance dolly, but was only provided with the appliance dolly.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul. Was called 2 days before my rental date and told my rental location was being changed to somewhere 15 minutes away and an hour later then my original time. I asked the person on the phone if there was going to be somewhere on the property to leave my car. Knowing the location I knew it wasn’t the greatest of neighborhoods. Before leaving with my truck I went in to ask the best place to leave my car and I was told I wasn’t allowed to leave it on property and theat I had to leave it on the street.

Inventory seems more adequate than some of the shoddy UHaul locations. My truck was ready as reserved, with good air in the tires and plenty of gas. I was a bit surprised that only one employee was working the counter, and supposedly another employee was working the yard, at 10 am on a Saturday. I could not find the "yard" employee and had to find my truck myself. "Get More Employees."

I had reserved a 5'x8' enclosed cargo trailer at the Redlands store on Alabama st. to pu on 9/17 When I arrived I was told I had reserved an open trailer and that they did not have an enclosed trailer available. They sent me to the San Bernardino store on Baseline. The whole process added an hour and half to my day. No problems at the SB store.

Despite making an appointment and being told it would only take an hour for installation of the hitch I arrived to find about 20 customers being served by two staff/owners. I was told that I should plan to leave my vehicle since they were alone and since it was a Saturday morning (9:30am) that while it would only take an hour that I would have to wait until all present and later arrivals for rentals took precedence before he could begin the job which might mean a 3 hour wait despite my appointment. I asked why they were so understaffed I was told that they couldn't afford additional staff. I noted that at least thirty parties were served so the income generated should offset more staff. Note that I went to this site 25 miles from home since they had the specific hitch required in stock despite having several uhaul locations capable of the job within 5 miles. In fact the Pomona location is fully staffed on a daily basis but has extra staff on anticipated heavy moving days. I told the owner that when making my reservation I was never told about leaving the vehicle or long wait and even reassured that it would only be one hour not two like other locations had told me but he denied that I would have been told that info. It took 30-45 minutes of waiting during which I heard multiple cases where reserved equipment wasn't available and that clients had to buy additional equipment (straps) to move fridges since no appliance dollies were available and only regular ones supplied in the trucks despite my own knowledge of the contrary after several moves that I have made over 30 years. When the line of clients ended (virtually all rentals were gone) my job was started. An hour later an additional staff member appeared but the job still took 1 1/2 hours since he was constantly be asked for help and had to bring items or answer questions for other staff. I felt forced to use your service since few others can install the hitch required for my car and thought that the appointment would prevent any delays but I was very wrong!

Please let people know that when paying with cash you will have to put $100 down first or however much deciding on what they get. Its a little bit of a headache when the U-Haul operator tells you a price and you get to the location and its an automatic $100 when paying cash. Its no problem they should just warn people before hand so they can come with all the money needed. other than that great experience and I will definitely use them again.

THIS location was great. The location at which I initally book the U Haul was where the problem occured. John was very nice BUT he quoted me a cheaper price than the truck was and he did not put the dolly on the reservation. The wonderful dispatch lady honored the price I was quoted by John and the man at the pick up location added the dolly/hand truck. Overall a great experience. Thank you.

We usually get our trucks from Rocky on Highland, by the freeway , he goes out of his way to help us ,. He made sure we got a truck the same day !!! He send us to Baseline u Haul and they helped us .. but we will be back to see Rocky on Oct 1st 2017.

The facility is great. The "location" is just further away from freeways than most, but worth it. I got there just after 7am Saturday they had me out within 15 minutes. The staff was great and the 6x9 trailer perfect for a motorcycle tow. Thanks!

The amount of gas that has to be in the truck is a bunch of bull crap. Could you make it more obvious that you want to take your customers for all you can? If we underfill, you win. If we overfill, you win. Such a one-sided contrAct.

This was the fourth location I was directed to in order to find the equipment I needed. Too bad you did not ask for comments on the other locations and Uhaul customer service.

The transmission in the truck sounded like it was going to blow up. Seemed like it wasn't shifting correctly. The gas gauge was stuck so I i ended up putting 60 dollars worth of gas in and then it suddenly moved to full. I only needed to return it with 1/2 tank. Took the receipt and was told there was nothing they could do about.. So I lost 30 dollars due to the faulty equipment.

For the initial pick up we had at "Carole's auto repair" was horrible. They weren't there at 9 (our pick up time) and still weren't there 15 minutes later when we left. When we got to the Uhaul of Tippecanoe and were treated to wonderfully we were so insanely happy. But really, the Carole's auto repair needs to be dropped. It was horrible.

Whenever I have to rent a u-haul in this geographic area, I request this location. Always prepared and equipment is top notch. The staff is polite and provide excellent customer service. Even if there is a long line, staff makes sure to acknowledge customer and provide an estimated wait time. Great job.

The owner / manager canceled my reservation . Even tho I called multiple times the day of pick up and told him and his staff that I would be late to pick up the trailer .... I pre registers online and cause he canceled my reservation I had to do everything over again . He was rude and not sorry that he canceled me reservation . Worst customer service ever ....

After-hours drop-off instructions should be clearly detailed to the customer. We tried to return nearly 10 hours earlier, but did not have the phone, nor the details needed for the check-in at the time of drop off. We ended up saving less than $5.

First you can make the customers who drive in there follow the arrows that are painted on the road.second you should have the list of rules and protocols clearly displayed I have been in there two times And each time there's a different set of questions and rules that need to be followed but if they are the same rules and questions why are they not adhered to every time.I brought both of these issues up with the store manager Abel which yielded no results maybe someone from the corporate office can ask Abel the questions I have and then maybe someone from the corporate office can give me an answer since Abel refuses to. The neighborhood U-Haul Rental,BJ oil in San Bernardino,which I have rented from numerous times has a way better understanding of what customer service is all about.maybe you can send Abel and his crew over to that's facility to see how they should treat customers

as a customer I do not have the time to go over every inch of the truck to check for scrapes and dents and dings...I fretted the whole time that one of those stickers will blow off. not to mention there were dozens of dings and scrapes that were not marked.

Just a little faster processing time would have been nice. Staff was very courteous. Took some time to get the truck which was literally empty of fuel. Went less than 5 miles and low fuel light came on.

I came into the store requesting to speak to a manager due to 2 previous Uhaul locations not having the truck I had requested. The employee working the counter said the manager was not in but he could take care of me. I drove nearly 10 miles to get to this location and the employee helped me with both the cost of the truck and miles. I did not plan on doing business with uhaul after this move but thanks to the employee that took care of me I will definitely be back to this location if I ever need a truck.

I have a storage unit from august to January , been there several times. have hard time with some employees, can not contact the manager even they take my info twice. I reserved a truck by email, they know I was moving out, an employee name Carlos Lopez with bad attitude denied my paperwork for moving out of storage even was emptied already. Move out the 29 of January end of monthly agreement , he said I do not let them know 3 days prior of moving ( agreement do not mention that) . He tell me I need to talk other day with the manager he will not will check out my storage at all. He get mad due to I don't speak English well and have disability of bad hearing ask me 3 times my reason to be there and 3 times my last name , I have to give the guy my receipt to show my last name and when I see his last name on name tag I ask if he can speak Spanish he got more attitude tell me he understand even Asian if I speak to him. I just leave it that way when he refused to help me with my check out of storage. But other employee help me very good with my rental truck excellence manners and go extra mile in the care service His name is Angel .
