Check gas because they gave me a almost empty truck I returned it with the same amount of gas and they still charged me for gas

These trucks need to be cleaned and checked for maintenance issues daily. The driver door didn’t close all the way which allowed the heat from outside to interfere with the already poorly working air conditioning. The radio didn’t work as no sound at all came from the speakers even when turned up to the highest volume. The air conditioning only blows on the feet and poorly too. The truck appeared as it hasn’t been cleaned since the truck was manufactured. With so many sicknesses and a recent pandemic, cleanliness should be top priority. This location does have great customer service and the lot is clean with the exception of the dumpster needing to be dumped. My suggestion is to hire someone to clean these trucks inside and out THOROUGHLY and do regular maintenance checks. Paying customers shouldn’t be rented nasty, unclean, dirty, unsanitary, poorly maintained equipment.

She’s very knowledgeable, considerate and patient, she goes above and beyond call of duty, she will also listen to your personal (I know she don’t get paid for that :-) but it’s the principle) I love how veracious she is about doing her job. She deserves all the stars…. Oh and a raise 💪🏾 for being able to do it with Grace. She don’t know I recommended that, so don’t tell her. Lol

NAKETIA P | Overall ExperienceThe staff was rude as helllll. When I got there, there was a lock I. My storage that had to be removed before I could gain entrance. I have no idea why. When checking out the young lady went to check the truck back in and was taking an exceptionally long time coming back in. I went out to the truck and knocked on the window and asked her what was taking so long and she went off. She was screaming and was very defensive screaming stating she had only been out there 3 minutes and that it is a process to check the truck in. I realize that but it had never taken that long EVER, as many times I have rented trucks before. We got into an entire shouting match, she stood up in the truck shouting and pointing her finger at me and was being really really rude. It was almost a terrible situation. I really saw myself hurting her bad. She was getting smart with my cousin when he was trying to speak with her stating while pointing her finger I am not talking to you”. She then proceeded to say I was upset or still upset because the lock was on my storage. I was so over that, I had placed my things in the storage and was on my way. She was so out of line and she the situation could have been really really bad. She was awful. The young man Josh had the most non chalant and short responses to questions asked. I have ALWAYS had a great experience there, but Saturday was the worst.

I did receive another truck that was available. I also requested a utility and an appliance dolly to assist with my move which they had an issue locating. It would be nice if the equipment is checked prior to the customer getting there. The associate was very nice and was willing to assist however she could be it just seen right to be doing things once the customer arrive making them feel as if they aren’t of importance.
Brittiney RThis drop off location in Center Point was 180 degree difference from where we picked up our U-Haul, and I was NOT impressed at all! The location was convenient, but the employee was not personable, friendly, or welcoming in any way! He wouldn't answer the phone when I called to make sure he was there, nor did he speak when I asked questions after arrival, so I just clammed up. I dropped off the car hauler 1st, then unloaded the U-Haul a couple hours later and dropped off the U-Haul (around 4:30pm) on Sunday 3/3/24. I got to the store and found the employee in his vehicle, leaned way back in the driver's seat watching TV on his phone with the door open. Not exactly how or where I would expect to find an employee. I had to just follow him in the store, then out of the store to the truck so he could check the fuel & mileage, but not one spoke to explain what he was doing. After completion of the inspection, he spoke 4 words, "you're good to go". I relied with "great, thank you" and again.....NOTHING! Just terrible customer service after a very hard & long move. He was just there as a warm body with zero personality or social skills. I will NEVER do business there again.
cynthia bmy issue was roaches in the truck had to return for another truck.i think you need to always hose the back of the trucks down and spray the trucks for roaches and also bedbugs,cause they can be carried into the next home.
Marlon HUhaul always over charge and I have to back behind them to make sure everything is correct. They charged me $14 for fuel, I returned it with more gas than it had when I got it. They charged me $20 forb2 packs of pads and I inky had 1 and did not use it. I am currently waiting on a refund.

Cornelius DI absolutely would not recommend this location to anyone. They had my one way 15' van double booked, then lied to my face about the method in which it was supposed to be applied, after I dropped everything off, which is an absolute lie, and she knew it. She also lied to me and said she had put it in the notes that it should be applied. I read the notes at the drop-off location, which had nothing in there about honoring the reservation guarantee credit. She put in the notes that she offered me a 20' van, which is true, but I wanted nothing to do with, since the 15' was too big for what I needed it for, plus I would rather not spend the extra on gas it would take driving it to Ohio. Moreover, when the van that I reserved finally did show up, the back was full of thumb tacks and paper clips, to which she said there wasn't much in there so she didn't sweep it out. I stated that I would much rather sweep it out here, rather than have thumb tacks in my driveway at home, so my wife started to sweep it out. I need another Uhaul from Bham to Ohio, I won't be using this location to do so.

Kayla C | Overall ExperienceI rented a 15 ft (4.57 m) truck with a car carrier at your Center Point Service location. By the time we got to Memphis, my daughter had trouble with the trailer's tires. Two separate roadside service men were dispatched, and one as well as the worker at the local U-Haul site told my daughter that the trailer was in disrepair. They stated that the trailer should never have been rented in the condition it was in. We were forced to stay in Memphis for 3 days due to the snow/ice storm which we could have avoided had these problems not held up us resulting in a 3 stay delay. Thankfully, the local U-Haul rep gave us 2 extra day to deliver the truck and trailer. This situation, which was totally the result of ill trained U-Haul employees who could have caused several deaths as the car on the trailer slid around on the trailer. I paid extra for motel room and food. As a result of your employees at the first location in Center Point not knowing or not caring about doing a proper job, I could have lost my child and her support driver as well as other people on the roadway when the equipment failed. I am not one to punish people for mistakes, but I am considering legal action for incompetence, failure of your equipment. I have always used u-Haul before, but this make me think twice next time.

Cheryl HI've had several bad experiences with U-Haul in a row. I've been moved from pick up location to others, with little warning, only to be sent back to the original location. When I've reserved equipment, I've shown up with no equipment there to rent. This last time, the truck started breaking down on me during the move, and was almost not returnable due to the truck not wanting to run. It was an overall awful experience. I was able to manage the move, but it seemed as if U-Haul wanted to make it as difficult as possible. This is not a mark against this particular location as much as against U-Haul itself. I do not plan to use U-Haul in the future if I move again. Three rentals within a month, and all three were riddled with problems.

Not only that but one of the employees present stated that the manager tends to make runs or errands frequently during store hours. I would not recommend this store to anyone on a time crunch!
