i put in for the self pick up but wasnt able to get it because none of my information transferred over, was told that they couldn't transfer the truck pickup to inside because it would take too long. Eventually after 45 minutes I finally got to pick up a truck. Gave up the storage because it was upstairs with no elevator.

when we returned the truck at 9pm they said we will just drop off the key but at the beginning of signing paper before giving the key to us they never tell us to sign out online for returning the truck instead they charge us two day even we only use the truck for 5 hours and returned that day also. i called the office but never call back. SO sad.

I was quoted one price, get there a was given a different price. They were suppose to put my card on hold put instead charged my card and I had to wait 3 to 4 business days for a refund. I was not happy at all about the communication of service.

We did self-pick up for 8:30am. There was no truck ready for us so we had to wait until 9:30 to get one. The employees didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience.

The truck was clearly not cleaned in any way. The inside of the cab was disgusting. We found cigarette butts, a funion, a detached fake fingernail. And the cup holders, etc were sticky.

The carrier would not work for my purposes and they would not give me a refund. I was gone no more than 30 minutes and determined the carrier was too high for the car I needed to tow. This is no way to treat a customer. In the future, I will look elsewhere for rental equipment.

The pick up/drop off locations were too far. It was only the night (late) before we left that we were given the pick up location. We had no idea we would not be picking up at the location we reserved at. The original location was far from our house, in a traffic ridden location area that would have taken a ton of time our of our day in the middle of packing to move. We then found out the next day (and only because I called) that the truck had been given away and we were to pick up at a different location. Also far from our home. Drop off at our final destination was the furthest of the three Uhaul locations in the town. Both pick up and drop off cost a time (and gas) so that it was convenient for Uhaul instead of us. Someone should have made it clear that we have to drive far on both ends - instead we were told after it was too late to make the choice to potentially use another company. This felt deceptive. The staff at both locations were helpful and the truck was clean and in good working order.

The level of customer service sets this location far and above any other location that I have ever used. Please, for you U-Haul needs rent from this location. You'll be glad you did. A continually satisfied customer :)

Truck were parked so close together I could barely get into it and drive it out. Fuel level was recorded incorrectly at pickup. After drop-off, I was double charged for mileage. Tried to call for a refund and was given the run-around. No one here seems to care about the customers at all.

The windshield was filthy inside and out. The driver side mirror was loose and after hitting a minor bump in the road, it drooped down facing the ground. I had to pull over several times along the 600+ mile journey to adjust it back up. The engine ran rough, probably miss firing on one cylinder. This place did not do a thorough check of this vehicle before renting it to me.

The equipment was fine. The young man named joshua working at the front desk was very professional. Unfortunately he works with Co workers who are lazy, rude and unprofessional. The equipment rental area crew was just sitting around talking and on their cell phones. Once I pulled up I got out and started taking a big dolly out my car. No one offered assistance or gave instructions. I had to approach them to get guidelines on where to take equipment. Once I struggle to get it out the guys said oh I didn't know you were returning. I stated I pulled up to the return equipment area with a big dolly. Serval other people were in line making complaints about the outside return crew as well. Very unprofessional. They need to be retrained.

Nothing at all. I must commend both the check out at reception and on site (taking about 6 minutes) as well as at vehicle return (that took all of 3 minutes!).These are great people and I really hope you are looking after them well!

I ran into a problem with the trailer not being able to fit my item. Though it was a 6x12 trailer the gate was too small for my 5x9 time to fit through the small gate. After having to make a 4 hour round trip and reining the uhaul trailer and many attempts to find a resolution over the phone the only option I was given was to pay for a larger car trailer again even though it was already close to 5pm and the. For th remaining two days I would have to keep it due to the timing and loss of a day to th very unfortunate design of the 6x12 trailer. Absolutely no consideration was given or help, not even a tiny discount was offered to offset the cost and frustration I had felt with over the course of the day. I will never rent a uhaul product again. The fact that I could not exchange a product with another store that wild have accommodated my needs and hat I had to drive back, return the trailer and then the manager wanted to fchage me another full day for a different one was absolutely mindless. There are plenty of other rental sites I will be using and recommending to others. Horrible experience! After returning the trailer it took over 30 minutes wating in line while one emloyee tried to help 8 different people with no other help or manager available, though there we plenty of employees outside. It was just one thing after another. Completely incompetent.

My only ding for this would be hearing the employee sigh heavily and comment as our U-Haul pulled up to be returned about 15 minutes before closing. I happened to already be inside heading towards the counter to complete the return. Fortunately Joshua was at the desk to help me and his service made the overheard reaction of the employee less of an annoyance.

I am very disappointed with the sales members when i walked in I saw two people sitting at the desk so I went to the first person i was closest to for help and he says very uninterested Hi I told him my name and he said oh he can help you that was the young man to my right well he began to help me which was good I got the equipment and left when i returned I sent my husband in to return the papers and to see where to drop off equipment two men acted as if my husband wasn't their and told him someone else would help him and began to use his phone very unprofessional and i wont be back to this location!

We were planning to rent a storage locker at this location, but the associate we worked with would not show us an actual locker, only a "model." We wanted to see where our locker would be located and its condition; we weren't allowed to do that and subsequently did not rent there.

The cupholders were dirty and sticky and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, the ashtray was also full of ashes and stunk up the entire cab of the vehicle. I have a cigarette sensitive allergy and this was very problematic for me.

Generally speaking, my experience at this location is excellent. On this rental, when I picked up my trailer, I did all of the work. I retrieved this trailer which was buried several deep in the stack, moving the other trailers out of the way by hand. I also hooked up the trailer checked its wiring and light function all by myself. Four (4!) employees we're sitting around talking, one of them washing his own personal vehicle, while I did this work. Digging out, and then hooking up, my trailer.

I recently rented a truck and requested a dolly with my rental. I did not receive the dolly but was still charged for it. I called the same day to inform them I never received it and they said I can pick it up whenever. I never came back for the dolly instead returned the truck with the dolly never rented. I received my final and I was not only still charged for the dolly but was charged for it being missing. I called back and was told a request had to be sent to the manager. The manager responded back via email saying that the dolly charges would be refunded. I check my account today and I have 3 charges from U Haul & no credit for the dolly charge. I called and spoke with Natalie and after telling her I was calling to check my final balance and to verify if the credit was put on. Before she received my name or contract # she couldn't pull up and a manager was going to have to call me back. I couldn't understand why a manager needed to call and tell me my final balance. So I'm currently waiting on a call back from a manager to explain my final bill because Ms. Natalie couldn't explain it to save her life. She was able to send it to me. So I guess I'm thankful for that. This is the worst kind of run around service I've ever received.

We were in a hurry and the check in process took over 30 minutes even though we filled out the form online to be able to arrive and check out immediately. Customer service agent could have told us how to do it online if the system was having troubles that day. Instead they got upset at us.

Though I turned the trailer I rented in on the correct day, U-Haul tries contacting me over 2 weeks later to see if I turned in the trailer. One, it really shouldnt take 2 weeks for U-Haul to begin searching for a lost trailer. And second, the U-Haul drop off location should have properly upadated the roster in a timely manner. Other than, the trailer was great, my pick up location was excellent.

I am more dissatisfied with your return process than the location. I specifically did not list a return location in chapel hill because I did not know where the closest location would be. When I called to find out I was told I had to return it to Durham NC I would be charged an additional fee even though the contract did not list a return location. The associate on the line was not helpful at all in remedying the situation

Storage bay door has reflective tape covering small dent. Employees need to communicate and take responsibility for their own and other employees actions as it is one team.

I needed a storage unit which took over two hours to finally secure due to issues with sizing as well as issues between employees not communicating to each other. They checked in my truck before I was done and never checked in my auto-transport. I chose to double check if things were solved after I transferred my load to storage which was good because by then neither rental was checked in and both had to be relocated while in their possession. This also took about 30 min due to, again, miscommunication between employees. I did not have a single good experience in-store and recommend company wide customer service training as well as a more in-depth vehicle inspection.

I rented 12 furniture pads as well as a '15 truck. When I went to check the truck before leaving, I noticed that there were 18 furniture pads, but several of them were wet. I had everything I needed for the move, so it wasn't an issue, but I thought it was a little strange that the pads were wet.

Y'all have changed your rates! Truly a rip off! You use to be able to rent a uhaul for a flat rate! Now you have to estimate the mileage if you go over that's more money so much every mile that's more money! To high for me for the little time I had it I could have paid for a rental truck at a another rental company and paid for a whole week what I paid for one day with uhaul!

The last time i rented from this location, i had a excellent experiance. This time i stood in the store for 20 minutes waiting. Then i was told to go get my van it was ready. So i couldnt start moving until later then i expected. I brought the van back at 8am and was charged for a extra day when i didnt even get it until after 7pm. Horrible service. I will not be using this location again.

Up to this point I have had good service from this location. When I returned the truck I drove from Asheville to this location, there was no one at the outside return area to check in vehicles. One guy drove a truck to the yard and did not return to the area. I stood in the 95 degree heat for 20 minutes and when another U-Haul person walked nearby I yelled at him and asked him to check in my truck. He said "I will be with you in a minute". 10 minutes later someone helped me. Not good service I am afraid. I will try another location next time. BTW the truck and moving helpers were great!

This experience was the WORST. I will not be using uhaul again. I called to schedule my ubox arrival and I arrived to the uhaul location right on time. At first they told me they lost my box, and then later they informed me that my box was in the very back of a truck and it would take 4-6 hours to unload. As you can see, this was very inconvient and unfulfilling to the standard that I expected to be able to pick up my box at the time scheduled. We went home, and they called me back an hour later and told me it was ready. This location is unorganized, unhelpful, and downright awful. Rent moving equipment from local businesses if you can.

U-Haul has outgrown this location. Too many trailers in too little space. We rented an auto transport trailer and it was difficult to back into the space to hook up. Also, the rear chain that goes around the axle of the vehicle being hauled needed a rubber clip on the hook to keep it from coming loose during transit. But overall it was excellent, well organized and very professional. Thanks.

The original place that we were supposed to get the truck from was from a different location, promising to be open at 9 am. They weren't. Called customer service, they set us up in this location and got a truck. All well and good. The problem is, Customer Service stated that they would send a refund for the inconvenience that we went through. I'm still waiting on it. Tried to call customer service, and the hold is unbearable. So, it looks like U-Haul will take care of you until business is concluded, tell you what you need to hear until then, but won't be around thereafter. Disappointing.

It seems like a scam to rent a truck with 5/8 of a tank of gas. It is likely that people put a little extra gas in to make sure there is enough before they return the truck. If you rent a truck with a full tank, it is easier to make sure it is full when you return it. I'm sure U-Haul is making money using this scheme.

The personnel, particularly the guy at the counter, I believe his name was Josh, were extremely helpful. However, they were severely understaffed -- so while they were patient and helpful, the wait times to be assisted was extremely long -- close to an hour for me (some of it was computer issues, some of it was customer issues, but it was way too much for one guy to handle on his own behind the counter, even though he was handling it well). I did receive a refund for the furniture pads that the other location didn't give me.

The oil pressure warning indicator was on in the first truck I was given. It was replaced with another truck in which the oil pressure would drop to almost the red zone and warning indicator would come on when I stopped at traffic lights. The mileage and gas tank level were not updated correctly on the paperwork for the second truck so those had to be corrected, which took a while. I've generally had a very good experience with this location, but it took a while to get through the pick-up process this time. Once off the lot, the truck worked fine other than the oil pressure warning.

The staff attempted to misrepresent how many miles I was entitled to as part of me rental in order to charge me more. I did not trust the staff and felt as if UHaul was trying to nickel and dime me for absurd things like folding the furniture pads - there's no reason the customer should be responsible for repackaging UHauls equipment.
