When I went to pick up the UHaul, the guy basically mumbled, took my money, and didn't offer me any other deals. He was also unprofessional and extremely rude, to the point that I never want to rent with Haul again. Also, with that being said, I am still upset that I paid nearly DOUBLE what I should have been charged. My parents and I have used UHaul every time we have moved, and with me shipping things to another state, I'm most definitely going to be looking into my other options. I felt like I was taken advantage of, and on top of it, had the rudest costumer experience in my entire life.

Article I: I explained my situation to a customer service representative about how my car had just broken down and I needed to get back home to Omaha Nebraska we completed the paperwork without issue and I swiped my debit card and the amount estimated was 285 dollars and change. When I arrived home about 26 hours later I was returning the truck to the Millard location U-Haul and the customer service rep said right off the bat that I had to take the truck back to where I got it because they do not rent one way. I said why did they rent it to me one way to Omaha then? And he proceeds to walk away from me was very unprofessional and said I was at least going to get charged double the amount. I said if that happened I would be getting my lawyer involved and that is when he walked out the door and I followed him outside when he didn't respond to what I was asking and being extremely rude I said you have my information, and will never have me or my family's business any longer if you overcharge me for something invalid. Then I receive an email saying there is an outstanding balance of over $1000. I will have my lawyer get in contact with your company if I am not contacted about this absurdity. I was not offered a lock and didn't realize until we stopped at a hotel at 9pm that we did not have one. I have rented a Uhaul before and a lock was included. As a result we were robbed and lost over $1000 worth of our stuff!!!!

I have moved many times in my life and this was definitely the worst experience ever! The price they quote you is very different than what you pay. What they quote you is place to place not door to door. I had to pay $400 more than the quoted price. I changed the pick up date but they came and got the box anyway before I was done packing it up. When I asked them to bring it back they wanted me to bring the rest of my stuff to their facility and pack it there. Obviously I said no and they did bring it back a few days later with broken things since I hadn't secured it. Josh at the colfax location was very rude and told me he couldn't help me because it was someone else's problem. He also gave my credit card info to moving people where I was relocating. Had to fight to get my money back! In my best opinion one hand does not know what the other hand is doing! The pod may have been more than the Ubox but I'm pretty sure it would have been a better experience. Just say no to the ubox because it's just not worth the headache!

When we walked in the first guy, an older man, was very friendly and greeted us he then took us over to a younger guy with glasses to get the truck. The guy was on the phone and seemed irritated. I had booked online however for some reason it wasn't showing a truck number the younger guy then got irritated with me and said "fuck it" and did it on his side when I was just trying to make sure my card wasn't going to be charged twice. I understand everybody having a bad day but that was very unprofessional.

I had a hard time dropping off my trailer because if the intense traffic that surrounds this facility. These guys need to have more than one entrance at 5pm. I had to drop the trailer by the loading g docks and the employees were angry but to try to pull in and then out was way to hard. Wanted to say sorry because I know I pissed them off

When I returned my rental truck, I waited twenty minutes at the drop-off spot for someone to check me out, although two employees clearly saw me and continued to have a lengthy personal conversation which was clearly more important than accommodating a customer.

We initially tried using the app to pick up prior to business hours. I entered all of my information the night before and made it was saved. When we arrived and I began the verification I was told my information was missing. I tried updating my information through the app again and it would not allow me to update anything. We had to cancel.

You leave me a message to call, and when I do, phone calls are not answered. Boxes were not ready for the movers, resulting in the movers having to make a second trip. Terrible business model.

The new "self check in" on the phone was pretty horrible. The employee didn't know how to instruct us what to do, it took much longer than just checking in with an actual person, and it was a hassle when all I wanted to do was pick up the truck I reserved in advance. We arrived and attempted to check in and the employee told us we had to "confirm" online. I said I already confirmed and received a phone call from U Haul confirming my reservation, and he told me that the different U Haul locations are having "a contest" to see how many people can use the new check-in service on the phone. I asked if I could just check in with him and he said no. As he stood there while I waited for my phone to load and go through all the steps (about 7 or 8 steps, including taking pictures of the truck, myself, my driver's license, etc.), I asked him if he wouldn't mind getting the keys to the truck for me, since the "verification of my license" was taking so long via some U Haul online system that had to compare my pictures. The employee responded that "no one has ever asked him that before". My partner and I were dumbfounded. He finally did ask around and got us the key. Truck was fine, but overall a pretty horrible experience. My card was also charged twice, which is apparently normal until the credit card company takes away the initial charge that was held for the truck. I just hope I get reimbursed soon, as promised. Not surprised if I don't and I have to call and complain.

Because of heavy traffic and the entrance so near the traffic light on Colorado Blvd, it was very difficult to enter and leave. The location was easy to find, having an alternate way to get in and out would be helpful - maybe it was the time of day the created the issue. This is the reason for my below excellent rating.

This customer service experience was horrendous at every turn. When I called to ask for an initial drop off time two days in a row they told me I would be contacted. I was contacted at 7:30pm the day prior to notify me I would receive my box between 8 and 9am. At that point I was thankful just to have information as I had been told the day previous they did not know when/if it would be dropped off. Additionally, they told me they could not confirm the final destination of my box until it was "in transit." I simply wanted to confirm it would be delivered to my address (what I paid for) as my confirmation stated a uhaul location. The day of delivery my driver was three hours late. When I called to ask about the delay, again they connected me to a store that did not answer and it took almost an hour to determine where the driver was. When the box finally did come it was dropped off on the street still on a trailer with no locking pin or form of protection. Literally anyone with a trailer hitch could easily steal the trailer. When I asked how to protect the box and all of my belongings I was told to PURCHASE coverage and park in front of the trailer. At this point, are you kidding me? I do not have the luxury of abandoning work and other moving responsibilities in order to leave my vehicle parked in front of a trailer irresponsibly placed in my hands. I had to make three seperate phone calls to uhaul to finally reach a human that could help. The help offered was complimentary coverage and reimbursement for the locking pin I had to personally purchase. I was thankful to finally speak to someone that had the power and baseline interest in helping. My pickup time the next morning was 5:30am. Because my main form of security for your asset and my belongings was parking in front of the trailer, I had to meet the driver at this time and move my vehicle. At that time I was also asked to pay, AGAIN, for the residential drop off I had already paid for. The ONLY positive to this experience was my drop off team in Las Vegas. They were prompt, informed and helpful. Overall, this service was awful, stressful unprofessional, and nowhere near worth the cost. I will tell everyone that will listen it is worth the extra expense of using an alternative shipping method/company.

It was very difficult to get a hold of the location where my pod was stored. I had to call several times over many weeks before just having to show up since no one would answer. I left messages and filed reports and no call back.

One gal - Cynthia - was doing her best to help while the others played and talked with one another. It was an awful experience, a complete joke.

Don't refuse to help someone just because the reservation was unintentionally marked as self-serve. I was turned down service and told I had to download an app to checkout. It was a scevenger hunt trying to find the truck after finally figuring out the online program. I then had to wait forever for verification and then received a message saying that I couldn't rent the vehicle. Finally after all this, I was helped in person, which is what should have happened at the beginning. Huge waste of my time, biggest hassle I have had with uhaul. The van was clean, people were helpful, I just don't appreciate being turned down in-person service. That is a huge business flaw.

Unfortunately I made a reservation a week and a half in advance to pick up on 31 July at the sable location in Brighton for a 26 foot box truck when I got there they did not have any trucks for me had to wait in hour and a half for them to find me a truck Then ihad to go to 4800 Colorado Blvd. to pick up a 17 foot box truck which was not big enough then I had to rent another truck so unfortunately I hope I can get reimbursed for something that I made a reservation for a week and a half in advance

Truck was very questionable with regards to road worthiness. One rep said it's not drivable and another said it was after I was told another truck of the same size was not available. The truck made a lot of loud and unusual noises. I was also charged an extra $70 for the insurance but I declined it when I made the reservation online. Very dissatisfied and will not use again. #terrible

Staff left early without any notice at the location, closed at 6:50 instead of 7, our drop off time. We were also forced to change pick-up locations and times despite having a reservation, with no explanation as to why this occurred. The reservation was pushed to an hour after requested. I will never use UHaul again if possible.

At the end of the day, I'm happy we used U-boxs. However, it was quite frustrating receiving two phone calls a week before the boxes were coming saying the driver needed to talk to me and when I called back the consultants I spoke with had no idea why I received the phone calls and said the driver would actually call me the day they were arriving. That also happened when they arrived at their location. I received a call saying they were going to be delivered on a different day than I had originally requested for their delivery. It all got worked out, but I felt like U-Haul didn't have their shit together as well as they should have. I absolutely loved our delivery driver in Brooklyn. She was wonderful! Overall, I am happy with everything.

To make sure the interior of the car is cleaned but overall the experience was wonderful I would only ask that when you're renting out your trucks I had a 8 foot pickup truck the interior had dried up liquid or something all over the seats and on the side of the middle manifold so the only Improvement I would say is to make sure the interior the car was clean but other than that I'll be back

The drivers that delivered at both ends of our move were excellent. No issues with them! The week before we were to get our U-boxes we called 3-4 times confirming instructions on what we wanted to happen and the address to deliver to. We wanted the U-boxes picked up and taken straight to our new home, this was Monday, July 10th. We get a phone call that day from someone telling us that they don't deliver to Conifer, CO and that we would have to transfer our 6 U-boxes to another company that does deliver there. The day of our move and they are telling us that they don't deliver to Conifer, CO? I am not sure if it was this location or if it was someone from your corporate office. We did not get our U-boxes delivered until Thursday, July 13th at the new house. We will not use U-Haul again, it did not seem like it there was any communication between staff. No one knew what was going on.

Equipment was great. Customer attendants at the desk while polite seemed like they needed more training or something. When returning the vehicle we waited 35 minutes as they attended to others. One man walked out and cancelled his order as attendant couldn't figure out how to process it. Need a manager or better training for employees.

This location is understaffed, Most employees have no sense of urgency. It took 30min just to get my rental. Another 35 just to check out after completing my move. They also charged my card twice. Please just train your staff they need help.

I went in a day early to confirm the appointment at the Denver location. The Assistant Manager already had the 15' moving truck picked out. Taking a 1200 mile trip I wanted to inspect the truck and trailer. Trailer was ok, but the truck had a bad tire where the tread was very low that would not meet safety specifications. The assistant manager stated she would try to get the tire replaced and she would call me and let me know, this did not happen, so I ended up going over to the rental store again to find out what happen. The tire did not get replaced, but other 15' trucks came in and I was able to pick one out that I felt would be safe a reliable for the 1200 mile trip. The young lady that helped me with my rental was great she had a good attitude the whole time even with the circumstances at hand and being the only worker at the location. Then 26 mins after the location opens two other workers come dragging in one male and female. The male comes in an immediatley has a terrible attitude!! His body language and attitude even down to the expressions on his face were poor with patrons during the entire interaction. And for a fellow coworker to have to say I'm sorry he is always like this in the morning is totally unexceptable and shouldn't have to be done! Also the other female worker that came in with this guy never came back to the counter to assist with anything. I just feel like if I'm gonna get treated like crap by the employees to spend my money with and organization I could just go up the street to the Stapleton HomeDepot! Rachel Gillespie deserves some time of recognition for the conditions she has to work in especially with co workers like that. My trailer rental was for 9am it was a 9 hr rental I didn't even leave the location until 10mins to 10am.

I booked my reservation back at the beginning of May for a late June move. I showed up at the time I requested (9am) and was told that the online system apparently over booked them and also someone who took a truck from the day before never returned it and whoops, they don't have a truck for me anymore. The woman helping me was on the phone for about 20 minutes and found me a truck at another location. I drove to the new location only to find out that they were closed. I drove back to this store and told the woman that the location she sent me to was closed and she finally referred me to the general manager, who couldn't have been less helpful. He hammered away at his computer for about 25 minutes and then finally said he would give me a truck that was for sale (no uhaul logo. Just plain white) it was an old truck but after an hour of driving to two uhauls and going back and forth I was happy to have it. I was finally on my way with this truck. When I went to return it, come to find out, this helpful general manager wrote down the mileage wrong and tried to charge me for 56 miles! I literally did 11 miles total. I mapped it myself. Not once did any of these people I dealt with apologize to me for this huge inconvenience. I am shocked at the general managers lack of customer service. If you know you don't have a truck for someone then maybe give them a call before they show up on their moving day when they're already stressed out! I had to pay my movers for an extra hour of work that wasn't completed bc they sat at my house for an hour while I got this mess sorted out. I am sorely disappointed with this uhaul experience and don't think I will rent from them again.

I rented a 20' uhaul a week plus in advance. I had to pick it up at this location even though it was 10 miles further from my house. When I went to pick it up I was told I only has it for 4 hours instead of 8 and that wasn't going to work. So instead my only option was to rent a 15' truck. This made moving day way more stressful than it needed to be. Luckily I had a friend's truck to also help move otherwise I would have had to make two trips. Just think it's pretty cappy that my order got messed up. Would not use this location again.

This was the most incompetent Uhaul experience I have had with them. I rent a truck from them 2 times a year and every time it is worse. I won't be going back to that location. They have continually overcharged me for gas upon an after hours return. There was no paperwork because their printer was broke. Initi5they said gas was at 1/2 tank. Then they could not find the truck for 20 minutes even though it was right in front. Then the gas was barely over 1/4 tank and he said it was over 3/4. I corrected him and he listed it properly. Once I get my bill they charter me $21 for gas. I went 20 miles and put $10 worth of gas I. The truck which was more than I should. This place is an utter disaster.

It would be nice to integrate local information. Such as in downtown Seattle, parking would be a huge problem, and some alley does not allow ubox to stay over night. It's reasonable to recommend moving help in downtown Seattle area, as movers can literally put ubox on truck and move things quickly for you.

From start to finish this was a poor experience. The drop off was slow, people didn't know who did what, and one staff member spoke very disrespectfully of a co-worker in training. I was expecting the hitch install to be a professional job with the wiring permanently attached to the hitch. Instead I arrive to have the tow wire hanging loose and you lost a screw to our light cover which we now have to replace. Upon leaving we also noticed damage to our vehicle, still waiting to see there is any video coverage. I would prefer to return everything and go somewhere else but we have a trip this week that we need the hitch for.

This location helped us after we had made a reservation at the Federal location who do not have a truck for us to use because they lost the keys to the one clean truck available and the dirty truck they had, they could not release because they could not close out the paperwork from the previous renter as the credit card was bad. After waiting 90 minutes we went to the Colorado location and were helped quickly. UHAUL needs a software consultant ASAP as the system said only the Federal location had trucks when in fact the Colorado location had three. The customer service at the Federal location was a 1 out of 10 - multiple people came in with reservations but no moving vehicles were available. It was a very poor customer experience at the Federal location - no real apology for the issues and delay.

The location was fine. The rest of the experience was horrendous. You should be ashamed of your booking process and lack of follow through. A week before my reservation, I received a confirmation e-mail but the time was wrong. I called your reservation number and asked the lady for a copy of the recording. I have not received it and the lady couldn't fix my reservation. Moreover, even though the e-mail that I got said my reservation was confirmed and guarenteed, I received a new e-mail a couple days later with a new location - 14 miles away on very busy roads. I called back and spoke to another agent and again asked for a copy of the recording. She verified my e-mail and agreed to send both recordings from both calls. I still haven't received either. When I booked the reservation, well in advance, I was confident that I would be able to pick up a trailer at close to the time I needed and relatively close to my house. This process cost me time and money. Not to mention, you failed to honor commitments that were both in writing (e-mail) and stated on your reservation hold message. I am not someone who complains a lot or who responds to surveys often. You can be assured that I will tell this story often.

Reduce the line/waiting time to pick up the vehicle. At about 9AM on Sunday, there were almost a dozen people in line, with two agents working the counter. To make matters even worse, it takes about 10 minutes to complete the paperwork, even if the vehicle is reserved (like mine) and there are not a bunch of questions or other issues that arise. This isn't brain surgery...Sunday morning, busy day, long lines, personnel to handle, etc., etc. ...

If moving queen mattresses I would suggest using the 10Ft van. The Cargo Van is too small and it is very difficult to get the mattresses in and out. They are too broad to stand up and too wide to lay flat. Both the telephone agent and the personnel recommended the Cargo van and that was a mistake.

Requested twice that we have access to our U-Box. First time call went to Phoenix call center. Requested specific time for access giving more than 24 hours notice. Facility had no record of our request and personnel went on to tell us it was first row, aisle something and that he would have to move 11 boxes to get to it. Also, it would take some time to get to it. We were on a tight schedule and couldn't wait. Second time calling 5 days later, once again call went to Phoenix call center and they were having problems putting in the request for the U-Box. Said we would be getting a text confirmation because they couldn't get the request in due to system issues while we were on the phone. Also, 2nd request was more than 24 hours notice as well. No text confirmation and that was 4 days ago. I'm not even sure I have a U-box in storage any more! POOR WAY OF DOING BUSINESS UHAUL! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!

My stuff was undamaged, given the skepticism I had with a box essentially made of wood with a weatherproof tarp over it. The crew that unloaded my things were professional. Highly recommend.
