They did not have enough staff to take care of the line of customers in the store. I was probably there for a half hour in line and one guy said he would help me outside and he never came back or updated us. Also saw cockroaches crawling in the store.

No fault to this location, but uhaul.com shoud be able to easily determine availability of their equipment at ALL their locations. I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced not once, but twice for a rental. Uhaul Customer service described $50 reservation guarantee as a discount, which it was not. Not happy whatsoever.

This has been the worst experience and I will not ever recommend U Haul, in fact I am going to make sure anybody that I know or work with does not use U Haul. Every step of the way has been filled with missteps, so if you are planning a move do not use U Haul. They lost my box, they cut the lock on my box, they confused another box and added it to my order, they were unable to provide receipts to the charges that were automatically taken from my account, and aside from 3 to 4 people (and I have talked to many) that I have spoken to during this ordeal nobody seems to care. U Haul big company and a big hassle, steer clear.

I didnt use this facility, but was billed for rent. Maybe my U boxes passed through when they were shipped from WA to AZ. We had a charge at another facility too.

Called multiple times to get my u-boxes scheduled. Finally got it scheduled and then hired help through your movinghelp service only to have the u boxes not deliver on the date they were supposed to. Had to follow up numerous times to get it rescheduled. The movinghelp company was hired to go and get my u-boxes because your driver didn't want to deliver on my only day off. However I hired 3 people and u haul only sent 2 of them so I had to carry many of my own items, your staff loaded the u-boxes backwards on the trailers so we barely had room to unload the first one. What can you do next? Honor your original schedules. I had to take an extra day off without pay to have my stuff delivered which is unacceptable. Load trailers correctly and if you are going to make it right, take the time to see what the client originally scheduled and hire them the same amount of people. Based on this experience I would never use u haul again, I would happily pay double to another company to store and move my goods. The only good people were the moving help company from Lake Elsinore - they bent over backwards to take care of me.

As soon as I got in the 26 foot truck oil light came on I told the worker I don't want to stop on the highway he said it's ok it just came on, being that I'm a female I really didn't want to take that chance of breaking down. The truck drove really bad the ride was scary

Do not say that 30 miles are free then turn around a say you have to pay for mileage. If a statement is made when reservation is being done and you go to pick up, You should honor what was already arranged. Be a company of your word.

the location was very good but we had to go back and pick-up the trailer to have in attached to the truck for insurance purposes which is fine but when loading my ford pick-up on the trail the trailer came unattached from the truck so it WAS definitely not attached proper. I feel we should not have been charged for the trailer rental. This would have made quite a mess if it came undone on the freeway so thats why I am giving the location a poor rating. Very displeased.

The female with neck tattoos in front was rude wouldn't look at me nor acknowledge me. I had to speak up first. The guy who helped with my return, was very nice cause of him they got at least 3 stars.

Be sure to communicate the location the customer will picking up the vehicle. The neighborhood partners at places like storage units is a good idea but I had to take the initiative to check if the location I requested actually had a van the day of the rental. They did not have the van so I was glad I had called to confirm. If Uhaul had called me to co firm my pickup location, I would have given stars. Otherwise a pretty good experience. The dude at the counter was nice but could be friendlier and smile more!

The boxes are unsafe with over 20 nails sticking out of them. The door hinge has a screw stripped and doesn`t seem to be very protective of weather, sunlight coming through.

The 2 cashiers Gloria & Mason we're very rude especially Mason, as he was helping another customer, he very loudly and very rudely, yelled at me "what was I doing there" when i was talking to the other worker Irvin, about returning the rental truck.I would like to point out that employee Irvin was very polite and patience as he explained the return process. On both days of rental & return. Thank you.

I have rented storage space from other companies in the past, but U-Haul is the best I have ever experienced.

I rented a pick up truck (19.95) for 12 days, when I signed the contract the employees explained to me the first 100 miles are at .59 per mile after that it went down to .29 per mile, agreed. When I turned the truck in & went to pay the amout was almost $300 more than what I calculated for the mileage driven. The emplyee told me the contract was prepared wrong when I rented the truck. OK how is that my fault? She stated to me that the amount would be adjusted by a mgr, except there was no mgr at the time. I went back the next day ready to pay but no mgr again, i told her do not charge my credit card because i want to pay cash, she said not a problem. I left my name & number and asked for a call. No response from Uhaul, Next thing I receive is an email receipt with a charge to my credit card. I went in to the store spoke with the mgr (finally) and he confirmed I was given wrong information from his employees. You would think he'd honor the contract, i even asked him to call the employee who told me the info, but NOPE instead he basically accused me of lying and said there was nothing he could do. As a customer we rely on the information that is provided to us by their "trained" staff it is not the publics fault that uhaul has not properly trained their employees to give accurate information.....I'm ready to pay what I owe based on the contract I signed & Uhaul should honor that.

When we we're scheduled to pick up at 10 a.m. we had to wait for 3-4 hours for the car trailer. And at the last minute the trailer was broken so we had to go to another uhaul location to get it which made us run behind. The associate Christoper Butterbaugh told us for the inconvenience not to worry about filling the uhaul with gas when we return. When we returned it Uhaul STILL charged us for the gas! I wouldn't recommend using Uhaul again. Very dissatisfied with the wait and inconvenience!

When renting out a trailer or other equipment it would be best to make sure that the one picked is not blocked by several other equipment which only causes delay for me and for the employee. I rented a trailer and because it was blocked by two other trailers I had to wait for them to redo the paperwork so I can take the first trailer in front. This was not good for me since I was on a tight schedule and was already somewhat behind my schedule. It would be good if your trailers were always checked for cleanliness so that I don't have to sweep them out myself which takes my time and the trouble of finding a broom. Once in awhile your trailers may even need to be hosed out with water to get dirt or caked mud out of them. Luckily I don't always have to clean your trailers out but it does happen too often no matter which dealer I rent from. One more suggestion: Can you come out with a trailer that you don't have to stoop over in? Your trailers are not tall enough and when working in them a person can develop a rather severe back ache from always being bent over or stooping over. Please come out with a trailer that is 15 feet long by 6.5 or 7 feet wide and 6.5 or 7 feet tall. I think it would be a popular size and I would rent it instead of the 6x12 trailer that causes me back pain. It would also have a bit more cargo space so I wouldn't always have to rent a large 24 foot trailer from someone else. Hope you will seriously consider it. Perhaps make a few trailers and do it on a trial basis in my area to see how it goes. I'm in San Bernardino, CA. Thank you

I called a week in advance to schedule the delivery of my boxes which was suppose to be on a Friday. The lady on the phone assured me it would be no problem and that I would get a call on Friday to have them delivered. Friday came and there had been no calls at all. I called the local office and they told me they had been scheduled for the following Wednesday (I was leaving the state on Monday at 5am). She said there was nothing that could be done because the driver had all ready left for the morning to start her route. I told her this was unacceptable and something needed to be done, I already had plane tickets to leave the state. She told me that it wasn't her fault because I had spoken to the call center and not the local office....I was just shocked, what did it matter who I spoke to they were the ones that messed up. Eventually they called me back and said they could deliver on Saturday, which they did by noon. That gave us a day and a half to pack up a whole house but at least they were there. Every time I got a call for pick up after that the times were always different but they eventually picked them up on Wednesday. When they got to Washington it was the same story...one person called and said they were coming on Monday, then another person called and said they were bringing them Sunday, and same story with pick up of the empty boxes, they called to confirm they were coming Tuesday but they didn't show up until Wednesday evening. Luckily nothing was really damaged, we had a few dings on some furniture. But the whole process was not easy and caused a lot of stress and confusion. There is a lot of miscommunication.

I think the rental process is confusing in one way. When I go online to reserve a trailer, that should be the time in which I submit my credit card information as collateral for reserving the trailer. Going online should not be a preliminary step to where I still have to contact the pick up facility and give them my credit card to reserve the trailer prior to picking it up. Then I have to submit my credit card again to finally be charged. (This later part makes sense). But not putting my credit card down as collateral upon the initial online reservation process does not.

I don't understand why the 10' box truck does not have a loading ramp. We ended up having to move a refrigerator, dresser and solid wood long bench seat. No ramp made it more difficult to load/unload the truck, especially these three heavy pieces. All box trucks should have loading ramps in my opinion.

I have been using U-Haul in Torrance on Western for the last 5 years. Krystal at that site is an excellent manager, and should be put in a position to train others how to run a U-Haul site. San Bernardino - on West Rialto, is a very poorly run and poorly functioning site. Gloria is incompetent when it come to running the inside office, and she has a bad attitude. Josh is sweet, but clueless and needs more training. Lorenzo is a terrible manager, and does not manage or carry his load. The experience there has been terrible.

When I went to pickup my truck at the scheduled time I was in the store alone for over 20 minutes, I am not exaggerating, I could have walked off with half the store. I literally had to start hollering. I doubt anyone heard me but someone eventually someone came from outside. I was not happy already, then the process to get the truck took unusually long, I think there was a paperwork change or something because I was told I was getting one truck and it ended up being another. After 40 minutes I could finally leave with a truck, thankfully I allowed for 60 minutes and barely beat my movers to my residence. After everything, this Uhaul charged my card with someone else's rental in addition to my own. This fact was confirmed for me by corporate customer service and workers at the store. After 3 phone calls and an in person visit to try and resolve this faulty charge, I still never got a call from the GM. As it was CONFIRMED that my card was charged with someone else's rental, I am very upset that Uhaul did not refund my money. However, to not even have the courtesy to call someone in relation to this matter when I called the store 3 times, corporate customer service once, and made a visit to the store to address the incident one week after my original rental, very unprofessional and very concerning. What exactly is going on at this location? I would not recommend anyone rent from here. I have used Uhaul about 10 times in the last 13 years but I don't plan on using them again after this experience.

When I checked out the vehicle, it had a quarter tank of gas. When I returned the vehicle, I left it with a half a tank, but was not reimbursed for the extra quarter tank that I left. Also, it would have been nice to start my move with a full tank of gas, instead of having to use valuable time to fuel up. Aside from that, it was a pleasure to use your service.

This location did not have enough employees to service people as they came to check in. There was no one at the counter when I got there and there were 7 people in line and no one came in for at least 20 min and then it took a long time to get my truck checked out. Then on return again had to wait long to get the vehicle checked back in cause there was only one person doing contracts. He was nice and did his best to shorten the time.

The pickup was perfectly fine. I waited in line a bit, the front desk attendant gave me all the details of how to return the truck, then we checked the truck together and I left around 3:00 PM. Upon return, I locked the doors and parked it right where the attendant told me to around 7:00 PM on a Sunday. The only problem I had was during the return process. I watched the return process video through the U-Haul mobile app as the attendant suggested, very helpful by the way. The last thing the video says for me to do, is call the day after to make sure my truck was checked in just fine. Monday morning I call in at about 8:30 AM on my way to work and a women tells me the truck hasn't been checked in yet, allow more time and check back. I called back on my first break around 1130 AM another woman told me she would put a note to have them call/email me once the truck is checked in. Sometime around 4:00 PM U-Haul contacted my dad, whom I put down as a secondary number, and they told him they don't have the truck and to have me call in. No one called/emailed me to tell me they don't have the truck, better yet that they can't find it because I know I turned it in. I called back again as soon as I got off which was around 530/6 PM and the woman says they still haven't checked in the truck. She sent me an email at almost 7 PM telling me they checked in the truck and the contract is now closed out. I am dissatisfied with how long it took to check in the truck and then to call my secondary number before calling me directly or emailing me. If it takes longer to check in the truck, change the details within the instructional video. I got really nervous when My dad contacted me saying they called him. Since I called multiple times already that day, why not just call me back, send a text or email. Also, don't tell a customer you don't have the truck before checking thoroughly.

This was the best UHaul experience I've had. Efficient and friendly service! They were even super accommodating when I decided to change my mind at the last minute and upgrade from a 10-foot to the 15-foot truck (vehicle pulled out with engine running, yet it was no problem to switch). Worst Uhaul experience ever! Reserved a 26' truck one week prior to moving. Called to verify truck was at Redlands location and ready for pickup and was told yes on the phone. When I got there I was told there was no trucks available and they tried to offer me a 15' foot and a trailer 2 and half hours later. It put me behind on my move in and ended up having to take the next day off from work to finish moving, and access to my storage which closed by the time I finally arrived.

To start off I called UHAUL in San Bernardino by Rialto Ave and they tell me they have the trailer ready and so on. Once i go to the store to actually get the trailer. The girl helping me was super rude because I guess people in customer service dont kno what there doing and just give out trailers to anyone without checking if they are available or not. So, when i would ask a question she would be super rude as if it was my fault. Honestly dont recommend people going to that UHAUL.
