I reserved a truck 2 weeks in advance. I called the day of moving and find out my truck was not available. They gave me a smaller truck with no rail to roll big items up on and i purchased a dolly. My move was more trips than i had to make and harder because i had to pick up heavy furniture to put on the truck. With that being said it cost me more money and time. This was the worst move ever. I'd returned a truck there the previous week but the system was down so they helped me check it in manually. The next week I went over to return another truck and it wasn't my assigned return location but I had put in no preference and it was 24 miles away so they told me they couldn't help me and I could call uhaul and get it changed which I did. I felt they weren't really interested in helping me and there were no other customers around so while I got everything handled the customer service on the phone was more helpful than in person. Have been to many U-Hauls in a great many states. This location is above average, so I do choose to go here. All my transactions here have been no-nonsense, and that's a benefit. Renting a vehicle is not a simple process. U-Haul has sped up the paperwork requirements over the last decade, thankfully. The computer systems/servers seem often to be problematic (throughout many states). And while I do understand the reasons for picking up complex business systems on secondary markets, most of the poorer reviews could likely be fixed with certain upgrades. Those systems fail most often when they're overloaded, which means times of high use, which means lines getting backed up, which means frustration on both sides of the counter... I mitigate this for myself by scheduling my visits to U-Haul with these realities in mind.James Q.

The customer service I was offered when I first wanted to rent the unit was great. However, some customer feedback for you that may help you because it probably means I won’t be using this location again. The door to my unit did not fully open from when I first rented it and I was told by two members of staff that a work order would be in place to fix it. This made moving challenging because we kept having to prop the door up. I came back twice to ask for this to be resolved and it never was. Needless to say I was able to work around it but for the inconvenience it didn’t leave me feeling positive. If it takes two months for a work order to be put it and it doesn't get fixed, it doesn't make me feel I'll be recommending it to another person.Nam Anh V. | Overall Experience
Cynthia IS ABSOLUTELY the most amazing customer service / management representative I've ever encountered. Very professional as well as personable. She and Roger treated me and my daughter with alot of patience when my bank card had issues. Over 1 hour she maintained her composure and calmed me down. The issue I have is that for the second time in two years my husband has tried to do a walk in Rental and been turned away saying there are no available rentals and I literally logon within minutes of him exiting the building and make a reservation. Not sure why this has happened twice. I'm hoping the front office people are not being judgemental or racial profiling. It's very odd and unprofessional.Monica O.

The individuals running the shop aren't professional and act like they don't know how to properly conduct business. I had to send an email to ensure that they removed me from their storage log once I moved out. Took them approximately 20 days and they tried to charge me. I was moving during Tropical storm Imelda, and due to the rain and flooding it took me 2 hours longer than I expected to move. The truck was on 3/4 tank of gas I returned the truck full,due to the weather I should have a the very least been given grace for the extra two hours instead of being charged another day. I asked could I keep the truck longer since you are charging me for an extra day, because I was not finished moving furniture the answer was NO!. I walked in to the store around 7:10am for a 7:00 am reservation and was told I had to wait for assistance because the clerk was still opening the store. After disclosing I made a reservation through the Uhaul app and was coming to pick up a van. I was told that I would need a major credit card to rent from Uhaul. I did not have a credit card on me so in turn had to convince my brother to pay for the rental with his credit card. This in turn required for my reservation to be updated to his name. The clerk then took my brother ID card and took picture of it with her personal phone which then bothered me. As we are trying to process payment for the rental van. The clerks system â€œcrashesâ€ and before the payment was complete. I then pull out my phone and used the Uhaul app to attempt to process payment through the app. After filling in information that was already provided to the clerk. I get to then end and...... I was able to use my debit card to pay for the rental. No credit card was needed. I then review my contract emailed to me and not only could I have paid with debit card but with cash. As I'm processing payment through the app with my debit card , the clerk then states â€œit let you pay with your debit card on the app didn't itâ€ which implies she already knew I could have paid with debit card to begin with and now the order was processed with my brother as driver because I was under the impression a credit holder was needed to transact the request. This is not to mention the lady had a very Condescending attitude and was disrespectful and inappropriate to even go through with taking a picture of my brothers ID on her personal cell phone. All in all, I wasted 50 minutes resolving an issue that never even existed and inconvenienced everyone including my brother who was not even suppose to be driving the Uhaul or apart of my reservation due to the clerks ignorance. Not to mention the potential fraud that may happen. I have of no clue if my brothers ID is saved as an image in her phone. I will NEVER use Uhaul again. This was the worst customer service I have ever encountered.Quincy J.

I selected this drop off site when I made the reservation. I called U-Haul and confirmed my reservation two days before pickup. I confirmed my drop off at pickup time. When I arrived at my drop off, they refused to take the truck saying it was too big. I had to argue for almost an hour. I called customer service and they told the local person they had to take the truck. The local person called his supervisor and his supervisor said not to take the truck, even though U-Haul customer service was on the speaker phone telling them they had to take it. They insisted I had to drive the truck miles to another location for drop off. Finally, after much arguing and holding my ground, the person accepted and checked in the truck. This was totally Unacceptable after a long, hot, hard day of moving. I've used U-Haul many times. Not sure why this one went so far south. I would appreciate a credit on the rental for the issue at the front end costing me gas money and for the extended problems encountered during the return.Scott S.

You can offer more training to staff. I picked up a scheduled truck. The rep that was there name was Bryce. Bryce didn't not want to walk the truck, my truck was dirty inside and out with spills inside on the passenger side and the back of the truck still had debris wasn't swept out at the time I was the only customer inside so not sure if it was the heat outside or laziness. I wasn't offered a new truck I was just told I wouldn't be charged for cleaning i guess i should be happy not to pay for someone else's mess. The rep that was there when i returned the truck 6 hrs later name Bes i believe confirmed with Bryce what I stated about the truck offer an apology and just told me to contact the manager and let the manager know my experience. I have used uhaul before first time at this location as well as uhaul labor and this location service was the worst. The location was fine, but the U-Haul policies would give me second thoughts about using it. I rented a dolly for the day to move some boxes locally. $7:58. It took forever. Copies of my license, email, phone number. They needed a second phone number, I only have one. But was told I couldn't rent a dolly with only one phone number. So I gave them a friend's and that didn't work because it wasn't in my name. Then the system wouldn't accept the additional numbers I gave them. Finally tried my mother's number (same last name), but I had to try that 4 times before it would take. The gentleman helping me was very nice and apologetic about the inconvenience and I understand it was not him. This was around 10:30am. When I returned the dolly that afternoon, I was charged for 2 days because it was â€œlateâ€. I asked how it was late to return something the same day when I rented it for the. day. The lady told me that it was a U-Haul thing and that the â€œdayâ€ ended at 2pm. After that it becomes another day. That seems odd, she amended the transaction to only charge me for a day. Again, the person at the location was nice and helpful. But the fact that U-Haul has policies that caused me this much inconvenience and aggravation for a $7.58 transaction would make me reconsider using them again. I understand the need for such â€œthoroughnessâ€ if you are turning over a truck to someone, but seems a bit excessive and a major annoyance for dolly.craig C.
