Adding a cleaning charge AFTER I've returned it, didn't even use it, literally parked it in my parking lot and drove it back the next day, put 5 miles on it... $25 being added to my bill when there was NO communication about this fee, not in my quote, not when I picked it up... Shady business. Now I don't know what you have planned next time... Maybe I shouldn't go with uhaul. I can be told one thing and have charges added after the fact for no good reason. I was gonna ask if I could get some money back since I didn't use it but I can't even attempt that as I gotta get charges off that weren't even part of the deal. Unreal. Not cool. Train your employees for customer service. I was greeted when I entered by a loud â€œWassupâ€, and had to look around to realize it was the guy behind the counter, not making any physical motions that he was trying to assist me, nor any further vocal cues of what to do. After taking my information and card, the only thing that I was told on the contract was if I went over the estimated miles I gave, I would be charged. No other information was given by the employee. None! Pretty much silent except for asking me to do things like put my card in, and sign. The truck itself seemed to have issues with it as well, but minor issues. Then upon returning the vehicle, I drove up to, but not under the return vehicle space. I saw a different employee than the one who rented the truck to me next to it on his phone. He looked at me, and I hand signaled to ask if I should pull up. He then turned his back on me and went back to his phone. INCREDIBLY RUDE! Then I pulled the truck up, exited, walked past the cell phone guy, and went inside. No employee was behind the counter, but it was barely a minute when another employee, whom I hadn't seen or interacted with, informed me that apparently the guy on his phone is the person to do truck returns. He acknowledged then ignored me when I pulled in, then let me walk past him to the store front. I was very angry at this point. Went outside and told the employee very plainly that he should've greeted me and set an expectation of what I needed to do to return the truck. NOT WATCH ME WALK BY AFTER IGNORING ME! I probably will not visit again, but if I do, I hope you take these criticisms to heart, because these are the foundations of good customer serviceTIMOTHY P.

Certainly it is difficult for anyone to adjust side view mirrors for a potential driver. The mirrors on the truck I received were basically filled with a view of the sides of the truck. When I attempted to adjust the side view mirrors they were quite stuck in place. I did succeed. I suggest application of a lubricating spray on the mirror rotation bushings as well as rotating them to allow penetration as a step during maintenance. Thank you.JAMES H.

The entire experience with Uhaul was disappointing. I made my reservation online and went to one location and was treated rudely and told to go next door to another Haul. There again I was treated rudely and redirected to yet another Uhaul. I never received a text or telephone call that my trailer wasn't available at the original location. None of your employees had a personality and were just going through the motions and rude and less than helpful. It was a joke and quite sad! The price that you advertise in spite of a pandemic as well as the overall charges does not reflect the other charges that will be applied to the renter when a vehicle is rented you charge for renters insurance but if the vehicle is brought back with no damages you will not be the company that will give the $14 insurance back and you charge for the fuel no problem what's the environmental fee. These extra charges are the main reason I will not use this company again I will just have a friend use their car the next time.JAMIE W.

We were not given the key to open the padlock on the rear door. This caused us a return to the dealer and 1 hour of time while our moving crew stood by and the meter was ticking, so to speak. The dealer made a significant adjustment in our bill accordingly but the inconvenience and possible ill will that this could cause surely needs to be considered in taking extra care at the time of renting a Uhaul truck. Making good on the rental agreement cost was a big help but we would have been a lot happier to simply have been given the padlock key in advance and to pay in full. At least Uhaul tried to make it right. Normally, you guys are the best.John C.

Uhaul wouldn't start while moving from one location to the next after taking it from uhaul location. Was told we had to call roadside assistant and that they couldn't do anything for us at the location. Was on hold for over 30 minutes and was told they couldn't send a technician out until the next morning and couldn't give us a new uhaul until the technician arrived. Put us completely out of a uhaul, for we needed the items moved by end of day. Very disappointed. I paid $70 for a uhaul that was unusable. With no refund of any kind.JAMES TYLER S.

I would have rated 5-stars, but the key for the truck was a problem. It didn't fit the ignition exactly and we spent quite a bit of time the first time we stopped trying to get the key to turn. After that, we left the key in the ignition. When we returned the truck, we mentioned this to one of the representatives. He said that they were aware of the problem, but no one mentioned it to us when we took the truck from the lot.ROBERT W.

We have had good service with U-Haul, but this time wasn't so good. The truck we got was somewhat dirty inside, & very dirty and badly scraped up outside. Of course there's always the concern that we could get blamed for that, especially since no one went over the truck with my husband, instead just telling him he was good to go. In their defense, they were very busy, but still.... The other issue was that there was a lock on the back, something we have never run into before. Maybe this is a new policy, but ideally it should be pointed out. We drove back down to discuss the lock and the condition of the truck, and were told they were aware of it. The employees are nice, but, as a customer, I would feel much more comfortable getting all that information upfront.DONALD F.

The trailer I rented and which was guaranteed was not available when I went to pick it up. They were able to give me a different smaller trailer which worked but was not what I originally reserved. Also I reserved 2 furniture dollies and when I arrived, only one was available which required me to have to drive across town to purchase 2 elsewhere, adding to the cost of my experience. 2 gentlemen in front of me had similar issues with their reserved equipment not being available to them. Never had this issue before with this location. Not impressed.Colin A.

First off I was supposed to have a handcart in the truck, which when I got to my Destiination I discovered was not even in the truck. Secondly I still got charged for it and even after trying to explain five times that there had been no hand cart in the truck, I was still told that they would have to review this information to see if I would still get charged. I was also told when I picked up the truck that as long as I have it back by 1 PM the next day that I would be charged no other charges, and even though I had it back by 8 PM the same night, I was told that there was a overnight fee. How could there be an overnight fee if I dropped off the vehicle six hours later? Oh it's because you didn't check in online. I tried checking in online several times but it would not work and so I've been told that they have to see if they're going to charge me the extra $20 or not. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a Uhaul company. I was told my bill would be approximately $68 and it ballooned to $92 for completely unjustified reasons. I am completely disgusted and I will never use U-Haul again.JAMES H.

This was not the location I chose and I was not informed that the equipment I intended to rent was not available at the location desired at any time during the online reservation process. Further, I was not informed that I could not return the trailer to any uhaul location in town until I tried to return the trailer, unused due to a medical emergency, to the more convenient location, without being charged a "convenience" fee. The initial contact and quote was solid. Front desk guy was awful/ seemed like I was an imposition/ truck was fine- I got smoked on the rate for not putting gas in vehicle?!! No one mentioned this!! I got emails for feedback b4 I got to destination. Seems like this is a regular experience for people at this location. Asking for feedback b4 experience is complete is odd. Especially when the store smelled like weed. And no one ever mentioned the gas thing. I obviously would have put 15.00 worth of gas in the tank instead of paying the â€œfineâ€- it was just too much hassle at the end of a long day. Clown shoe experience. I overpayed and it is awful that feedback was solicited before basic tenets of the agreement were explained. Seems like a regular thing. Sure I'm not the first with this complaint.michael J.

Two of your CSR's shouldn't behave as if they are doing the customer a favor. One rep was quite nice though if he had gone above and beyond for his customer I might have been more impressed. For safety, please clean the front windows of the vehicle every now & then, so foggy/dirty, very poor visibility when driving into the sun. Csr's shouldn't assume a driver knows the ins/outs of the vehicle-how about a brief run down, i.e. this is how the seat is pushed forward or back, or would you like a brief run down and etc. Online service and website was excellent.Kathryn C.

The property was not available for us the day we rented it. The code we were given did not work and because it was after hours we needed to go in the following day and get inside. This completely messed up our timeline not being able to access the storage unit the evening we expected to. The staff was great. The space was clean. I’m glad I chose to rent from this storage facility. My only issue is that it doesn’t have an elevator for 2nd floor access. Keep that in mind when your thinking about the items your storing. In this businesses defense, that isn’t listed on the website.
