DOUGLAS W.First - I picked up a trailer to go from Phoenix, AZ to Cincinnati, OH one-way. The trailer was fine and performed well the entire trip. My problem was with the hitch installation at this site. I had set the appointment and ordered the hitch nearly two weeks before I arrived in Phoenix. When I arrived at my 9 A.M. appointment, they didn't have the hitch, but said that it was tracking for delivery via FedEx between 11 AM and 1 PM. I said to give me a call when it got there. No call. I went back at 3 PM to find out if the hitch was there. Why didn't I call? Because the recording said that the wait to answer the call was 20+ minutes. I could drive there faster than that, even in Phoenix. The hitch had arrived, and they installed it by 5:30 PM. On my trip while getting gas in Ft. Smith, AR, I hitch had sagged on the driver's side. I immediately drove to the dealer in town where they said the nuts had fallen off and a bolt or two were gone. They did the repair and I was on my way an hour or so later. I rated this experience as Below Average instead of Poor, because the trailer was fine, but the hitch installation was almost disastrous.

Terry B.When returning the equipment I was met outside and they checked it in two hours prior to my due time. I was supposed to get an email confirmation and didn't so on Easter Sunday was going to go back after church and had a message waiting from a different location (67th Avenue and Bell Road) that I needed to return it before 5PM and will be charged a prorated amount. I called and told them I returned it to the Surprise office per my contract and they forwarded me to that location, after 20 minutes on hold I drove over and they said sometimes the hand held device missed sending and they worked on the computer to fix it. When I got home I checked again and still no confirmation so I went back and she tried again and I got it that time but now it looks like I've been charged the prorated amount for an extra day that was entirely there fault and I'm not happy about that.

Seen several employees just standing around not doing anything and the one employee that was actually helping the lobby full of customers didn't have a clue what he was doing it was like he just started but had nobody there training him. They also have a sign up that says all 1 way trailers qualify for 50% off but the kid behind the counter refused to honor it even tho I was taking a trailer one way. Very poor experience at this location.

BONNY H.I made 2 visits to this site over a 1 week period; first to reserve a truck and later to actually pick-up the rental. Each visit took over 30 minutes just to get waited on. Lines were long and slow moving. Not what I expect from a professionally run operation.

Frank T.No employees were wearing masks or practicing CDC social distancing when I made reservations, bought boxes, checked it out, picked up blankets, and when I returned the van & blankets. They must be saving money on paper, because they emailed me receipts. I chose the extra $10 accident waiver, and their system insisted that I also pay $5 for SAFE TRIP, which I had to explain to the employee, twice, that I didn't want the $5 SAFE TRIP. I picked up the van the night before so we could get an early start and they changed the miles rate from $.59/mi to $.69/mi. I asked for a FORD van but got a CHEVY van. The windshield was so filthy with baked on smashed bugs, that it took 15 minutes with scrubbers & chemicals to clean it enough to drive safely into the rising sun. The inside of the windshield had apparently not been cleaned in months. The mirrors were apparently sloshed with a dirty rag. I returned it at 2PM, was promised an email receipt, I called the next day, I was put in the queue, I went to online website, I sent them an email, I did the CHAT, and the "chatter" sent my email receipt. The CHEVY was a real gas hog.
GERALD N.I returned the vehicle at my final destination with exactly how much fuel was in it when I picked it up. I was told I owed over $23 more because the tank was not full! It was not full when I picked it up. I paid over $6000 for two trucks and a trailer to move across the country and you felt you needed to nab me for $23 more dollars that you absolutely were not entitled to. It is my fault for not looking closer at the contract but shame on you, for not being honest!
Kristin F.1. The drivers door was somewhat sprung and let in air and noise. 2. The engine noise was so loud I couldn't even hear the radio. This is a big deal on a long trip if you're trying to stay awake. 3. As soon as I got the truck the service engine light was already on.

When dropping off vehicle there wasn't anyone to check it in and when somebody did show up, they didn't email the receipt so had to come back and wait in a long line to get one printed. Will not use this location again.
PAMELA Y.I got there at 805am to drop off my rental. One person acknowledged me when i got there and said he would be with me in a few minutes. I never saw him or anyone else after that. I waited in the truck rental return line for about 15 minutes. I could no longer wait because i had to be at work at 830. So i walked in handed the keys to a person behind the counter and left. I called the location about 18 times through out the day. Most of the time no one answered and the few times someone did answer, they would put me on hold indefinitely and never get back to me. I've been actively using uhaul for the last 2 years. This is by far the worst experience I've had.

Turns out she lied when she said a repairman came out and it was fixed. Another person said no one was called to come out and repair it. I was sold 2 locks for both units, then found out there was already a lock in each unit, but still charged me for the ones i didnt need. Only 1 elevator for the size of this location is ludicrous. It needs at least 2.

Because I did not put my lock on the leased the unit to someone else. So I spent another hour getting a different unit rented and locked up. I feel the service was very poor until I talked with Jennifer face to face. I now have a unit and we are moving items in on Thursday. Your phone service is terrible, Put on hold forever and then you don't talk to who called you and they person you do talk to does not know what they problem is. This has not been a good experience.
