Miscommunication between sales and the location about a free month using a storage space caused some difficulty and confusion that was completely unnecessary. I did not appreciate being put in the middle of a dispute between a local manager and uhaul corporate.

I was given equipment that was not suitable to full a vehicle up and down many 6% grades. The breaks could not withstand the weight of my load. Id expect uhaul to know what is safe instead i faced failing breaks and shot out roaders for most of my 600+ mile trip the breaks werent stopping me on down hill grades and the truck was shaking very bad. I was accompanied by my 14 year old daughter. We were terrified. I was offered no discount no apologies. Worst experience ever.

Due to COVID, I was hoping the staff would sanitize the cab of the truck for me. The inside of the truck felt dirty, and the previous client left a used mask on the dash. Lucky, I brought cleaning wipes with me and sanitized the cab.

My equipment was clean but not safe. I had to call uhaul for road side assistance for which My breaks werent stopping me going down miles of 6% grades and sharp curves and were violently shaking the whole truck. I have never been more terrified in my life. The mechanic sent to help said the truck was to small to be used with a trailer pulling my suv and that uhaul should have known that considering i was set up for a one way from California to oregon. I was offered help but id have to sit in a parking lot for a day and a half. I was not offered any further help no refund or even a discount. I have always used uhaul but after this I don't think i can. I am so disappointed in uhaul. $1400 to be scared to death when i should have felt safe... Not to mention My 14 year old daughter was with me... Had she not been im sure i would have let myself panic and possibly crashed... Praying dor 3 hours straight was all i had to hang on.

Customer service was amazing from reserving a last minute trailer with Chris all the way to the checking in and out my rental. Everyone was truly helpful getting me going. The deserve a secure area for being in the location they are. Very unfortunate when you have to deal with people on the streets causing problems and fires.

I scheduled a rental at 10:00 am on December the 27th. got the confirmation e-mail, but when i did the online check in they changed my pick up time at 13:00 and when i got there to pick it up i had to wait another 30 mns because there were no trucks available.

I was charged with a convenience fee for returning my rental after hours after the fact that I called to double check if there is a fee for returning after hours. They said no. And I asked multiple times over the phone. When I called to ask why the charge, only then that they told me I was charged and I was misinformed by their employee when I called the day before practically telling me it is what it is. No apologies or nothing like that because if I would've known, I would've just made arrangements of dropping it off the following day. I'm not complaining about their policy. I'm complaining on how myself, as a customer, was dealt with after I was misinformed. Bad customer service

Everything went well except the truck was indicating that the brake was on when it was not. I wanted to reserve the same type of truck for 2 days at the end of the month and was told I could only reserve for one day which is very inconvient.

Organize. My initial pickup was changed to a different location and time. When I called to change the time, I was given a new location. When I went to pick the moving van up at said location the previous customer had not returned it. I was told that it was supposed to have been returned the night before, but i still wasn't informed that night that I would potentially not have a truck the next day. I drove on my own accord to another location while on the phone with someone to try to get the right van. The location I drove to had nothing in stock but Vicky in "traffic" sent me to Tam O Shanter where another customer hadn't picked up their van. It was frustrating thinking I potentially could miss my opportunity to move, having to drive to 3 locations in Stockton when i wanted pick up in manteca, and having to pay for the extra mileage. It was almost sad to see a business so ill prepared.

Refund the $100, and check over your vehicles before sending them out. I had my two young daughters in the truck traveling from Arizona with me. Wondering if you are going to break down is not anything a customer should experience, plus the truck was dirty and had trash in it when I picked it up. Not cool

Update truck to use Bluetooth or at least plug in jack for listening to music as fm/am radio often does not get good reception. Other than that Uhaul continues to serve my family and business needs better than ever. Than you, its appreciated.

Picked up truck and finished loading but the truck won't start . Called road side assistant but put on hold for 37 minutes so hung up and call the place where we rent the truck. Guess what they said. "We can't help you, there is nothing we can do just call road side assistant.." so I called back Road side assistant but they never picked up the call. While movers( paid by hour) just sitting there doing nothing for about 2 hours, thank god some good samaritan fixed the truck and started engine (he said battery is bad) so we had to turn engine on to unloading.. one of worst and expensive ( movers actually worked for about 2hours but had to paid for 4hours(including wait for the truck to restart ) experience.

I don't like the fact that when we rented the truck at 1: 40 on Friday and we talked about bringing the truck back before 1:40 on Sat., we get a call saying that we were supposed to bring it back Friday night, which is complete bs and when we took the truck out there was three quarters of a tank full of gas and on the contract said there was more gas in it, not best practices!

Train employees to follow through. Came in 1/2 hour earlier than my pick up time so I could get an appliance dolley cuz they are “first come, first serve”. Woman at counter said she'd put an appliance dolley in my truck, guy who checked me in said it was “in the back” but when I checked, no dolley. And no more available as they'd all been taken by then. Your policy of not allowing customers to reserve an appliance dolley doesn't make sense for a “moving company”.
