This location did not have the Uhaul I reserved and claimed that they only had trucks owned by them. The truck was needed for a move and drop off over 200 miles away, forcing me to pay more money and drive the truck back after the move was complete. Again, this wasn't what I reserved. In the process there was a computer system brake failure that required maintenance. The tech who came out to fix the problem noted that this error has happened before, yet the part still hasn't been replaced. Altogether the service at this location is very poor. The front desk associate that assisted me was very sweet, but she seemed to be extremely over worked and in need for more training. Leadership rubs off on the front line staff and clearly this location has none. Once I agreed to take their truck it still took over an hour to receive while it was parked and ready to go. Tried to talk this over with customer service and they were not any better. Raymond and James from roadside assistance were class acts in helping me get the repairs needed!AUSTIN M.

Clearly state pickup truck is only for 3 hours. We needed it for longer and would have booked it for 2 hr if we had known. Our bill ended up being $115 dollars for 4.5 hrs use. I also am not sure our starting time was correct. We've used haul before and weren't charged anywhere near as much... I'd have rather not used your services if the rates were going to be so high! The truck advertisement on the truck doesn't state $19 for 3 hrs. If it has we would have rented another truck or a trailer. We didn't have this extra $ in our budget... The truck I rented was in very bad driving condition. it felt like the transmission was dragging. I didn't really hear it until we were outside of Virginia. I mentioned this to the worker where I dropped off the truck and pray they do not rent this truck out until they repair the problem. I paid good money for this rental and have rented here before and could not believe they gave me the worse truck they had for a 1400 mile one way trip. I sincerely deserve a refund and would definitely like to talk to a manager.Sharon S.

The lack of dollies was unsatisfactory and the truck that was assigned to me did not have a ramp which made it difficult when loading heavier items. The address of the pickup location changed without notification. I didn't get an email and missed a call the night befor with less than half an hour until closing time. I didn't find out the address had changed until arriving at the original location. The location with the truck was more miles and the whole fiasco set us an hour behind schedule. This was absolutely abysmal. I also got put on hold forever with the national reservation number. I finally hung up and caller the local midtown location on Louisiana street to actually get help figuring out the situation. The people at the Midtown location were the only helpful competent people I dealt with.Steven H.

There was only one person working in the office and she was helping another customer. Even though I selected the option of using the app to check-in and access my rental, I still had to go into the office and wait for the one employee to finish with the previous customer who was having some huge issue before she could hand me the keys. There was also the issue of the app not letting me finish the check-in through the app, so I again had to track down the one employee, who was at that time moving trucks around the lot. I was hoping the check-in process would be convenient, but it was more of a hassle than anything. The return process went smoothly, however. I also appreciated that the van was brand new. The reason I probably wouldn't recommend that particular location to a friend is because of the area of town where it's located doesn't feel particularly safe, especially at night when the rental office is closed. When i returned in the evening to return my rental, there was glass in the parking spaces in front of the storage building where you could tell someone's car had recently been broken into.Elise W.

I returned a rental 9' van with a more full gasoline tank than it was served to me (5/8 tank). I provided receipt from the gas station to the UHAUL employee and she then proceeded to bill me $18 for six (6) gallons of gasoline. My contract (#26045208) shows a total of JUST TWENTY FOUR MILES DRIVEN, which makes it darn near impossible for the rental to have possible burned six gallons of gas. I want my $18 back. I returned the tank at the same level I received it. What a shake down. So unacceptable. I'd give zero stars if possible.NICHOLAS H.

If every UHaul location could learn from the owner of this one it would make life so much easier in a move. Somehow, Google gave me the wrong location of this UHaul center. I drove 45 minutes out of my way and when I tried to call I was on hold forever. When I got to the location the gentleman stated it was no problem and he would make my rental start at 2pm instead of 0930! They also make it so easy to return that we simply pulled up late, unhooked the trailer and put it back a spot, took a couple of photos and all was good. This is the best UHaul location I have ever been to. I will recommend them to all.ROBERT F.

I had requested a truck at another location and I was told almost last minute 1 hr before closing that the truck would be unavailable. I went to another location before coming to this one. I arrived close to 8pm at this location. I was surprised when I walked in that the door said that closing time was 7pm and I came in after 7pm. There were 2 attendants at the front desk when I arrived. I was informed that I would not be able to receive help because the store was closed. Miguel, the gentleman who helped me out was courteous enough to help me even after 7pm. I made my reservation online to this location because online the website mentioned that I could pick up the truck until 8pm. Miguel honored what the website stated and made sure that I received the best customer service before I drove off with the truck. I dated U-Haul at Tidwell & 45 poor because while my items were stored at that facility for two years, I was unable to check on my items all this time. When I did go there I was men rolling shopping (grocery) carts away from the facility and I became frightened and quickly drove off. When I did return that when I found out that there had been a thirty at the place. No one called me about it, I found d out when I saw the damage in the unit I was renting. My health was so bad I didn't think about anything but my health. I had a stroke in 2019 and in 2020 I had to have a pacemaker repair. It was time for a pacemaker change and I had complications and was hospitalized for weeks. Finally I was able to get my items in January of 2021 on the 1st. That's when I found out that my unit did have the lock I put on it but another one. Found out one of the workers didn't come to work that day so I had to call a locksmith and pay him $130.00 to get the lock off. After we finally got out that evening I was disgusted and tired (I was reimbursed for the locksmith in a few days but the manager told me I would get it back the same day. But I was charged for February and when asked why I was asked "did you you him to close your unit out. That's not my job! Thanks for everything! Please Donegal there.Joyce S. | Overall Experience

My only complain about the storage facility is that there was a lot of rats. In my storage room I always found lots of rat droppings. One time I also found a dead rat decomposed in my unit. It did not make sense how they did not smell it. I don't know how long the rat had been dead as I rarely went to the storage. The storage needs to have a good pest control treatment because what ever they are using is not working. I know employees did there best in keeping it clean because of the several times I went I saw them mopping the isles and cleaning. There are two things that were completely unpleasant - the attendant at this location was rude and customer service was flat out poor - the booking mobile order showed that check in would be easier to do to secure the vehicle but I spent more time checking in than actually using the rental for the small job that I needed it for. You all need to do better and honestly the customer service person at this location needs serious training. Under any normal circumstance I would have suggested firing her but I realize during these COVID times people are out of a job but there needs to be serious improvement as to how this location should be run. HORRIBLE! The place need to be demolished! What’s suppose to be “climate controlled” is just as hot outside! The storage facility is full of rats and ain’t no telling wut else! I'm deeply concerned about the condition of the building, it's infested with rodents and my belongings were covered in feces and urine. We entered the unit without gloves or masks, since there are none to be found in the stores. My expensive and fairly recently purchased mattress and box springs will have to be professionally cleaned, along with wood furniture that was heavily soiled and infested with rodents (no longer present but in my last visit to the facility in mid-February, a dead rodent was present in the unit). Since I'm on my own, unemployed and will continue to be unemployed for the next several months due to coronavirus, I was unable at that time to get my belongings moved until this past Saturday, April 4. While doing so, my son and daughter-in-law were also putting themselves at risk of illness by handling the heavily soiled contents. I had to dispose of bedding, clothing, and other personal belongings that were either too heavily soiled or that had been chewed by rodents. To add insult to injury, Uhaul charged me for TWO RENTALS for the truck I rented to move my belongings. I picked up the vehicle on Saturday morning believing I had a full day (24 hour) rental, only to learn when I brought the vehicle back that same afternoon, I was charged for two rental periods. I would like Uhaul to reimburse me for the cost of having my belongings properly cleaned, and reconsider charging me for two rentals for the truck. It's outrageous! Something should be done about the condition of the storage building. It should probably be condemned and I've strongly considered contacting the health department to report the building as unsanitary and overrun by potentially disease-carrying rodents! Your name is on the building and YOU are responsible for this, I will not waste my time discussing this with the property manager and/or staff. I've already spent a great deal of time attempting to clean my belongings well enough to go into a new CLEAN, TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED AND LARGER UNIT FOR A LOWER MONTHLY RATE!!! This place is an absolute dump. The staff are lazy and do nothing but sit in the office. The horrible excuse of a person, that calls himself the " manager " could not be worse at the job. This place is not secure an the employees are suspect. The unit I rented was mysteriously burglarized and all my belongings stolen. I was told it was my fault that I didn't have insurance. They said they could not monitor what happens at the facility. Then why do you have signing posted stating that your facility is secure and there is a video security system for customers protection? Here's a thought, maybe if the employees walked around the facility and paid attention to who was going in and out they would notice who was kicking through the wall in one unit and climbing through then kicking open the door and stealing property that people pay to have stored inside a " Locked, secured, monitored, " facility.
