Worst experience and truck! We did mobile pick up and that took waaaay longer. Truck wasn't ready, dirty, miles were way over than what my app said and made us go inside again. Way less gas than contract said. Truck is in poor condition- alignment off, shakes when stopping, takes forever to shift on highway. I drive a bus, I know this isn't normal and safety issues. We didn't even finish our project before returning it. Wasted $70, will never rent again Fromm uhaul and advise others to watch out. Also- where's the employees mask?Betsy G.

The gentleman that checked me out was not wearing his mask either time I came in, though other employees were, he just didn't seem to care. The 17ft truck I rented was in poor condition and got very bad gas mileage I only drove 27 miles with a very light load and needed to put 6 gallons of gas in to get back to half tank I left with. (4.5 miles a gallon?) I read they should get 10 miles per gallon. I'm not sure the gas gauge was accurate.DONNA JEAN S.

Poor service overall. Just choose a different location. The employees work slow - they would rather chat and joke around than just work more efficient. The gas was low and kept singling low gas so I couldn't see the miles - to find out the miles weren't accurate and had to pay for the difference. I don't mind paying for the extra miles because it's my fault in a way- but I guess I would expect the employees to inform you before you go out and jump in the truck that you have to hit a button to display the miles. Also, don't trust the dolly they have in their truck. If you have valuable belongings being transported, the dolly can break loose mid drive and start sliding/rolling into your things.RYAN ALEXANDER G.

I traveled 11.7 miles the uhaul truck odometer showed 15 miles. I did the route in twice to make sure. Your mileage is not correct and I'm sure you are aware. I think that is your scam. .y sister rented a truck to move 3 months ago. Their speedometer showed 33.4 miles they were charged. For 41.3 miles. Uhaul has been around a long time. I called on the phone, during my rental told him I was not gonna be back by five which they asked for when I first rented. They told me no matter what it was gonna be another day rental, I was mildly upset. Because when I rented it I thought that I had till the morning. Which is correct? I am rating an excellent for one reason, the boss Mr. O'Riley. he was very fair and exceeded expectations. However, the door situation and access is a bunch of BS. The doors never fin worked properly the entire time I was renting which was over a year. Totally fin stupid u cant get the doors to open properly...and stay open when they are supposed to after logging in and being in the unit. i had to prop the doors open everytime...including my last day...GET THE FUKIN DOORS FIXED!!!!!!Robert S. | Overall Experience

The rear doors were frozen so I couldn't load the truck with the items that I needed because of it. So I had to make an extra trip. I also had to go back to the U haul that I rented the truck from, because I needed the doors to open which cause more mileage. Check in took double long because inexperienced desk agent made error on length of rental. Did not know about fee for after hours return until I arrived at 15 minutes after closing. I'm not tech savvy and was unsure if I did it rightSCOTT ALFRED S.
I was initially told that the mileage was .99 per mile because I was renting on the weekend. I asked him to verify because that was not what I saw on the website, there was no mention of increasing mileage cost on certain days. He left and returned, agreed I was correct. Then on day of pick up, I heard him say this to another customer. Either the rates are higher or they aren't and it is clearly advertised, which it wasn't. This leaves a bad taste for me. The women who dropped off and picked up the boxes did not wear a mask. They didn't take the bolts out of the boxes so we had to ask a neighbor for a wrench. Very difficult to remove. Person who dropped them off was friendly enough. But the person who picked them up empty was a horrible person. She couldn't even be bothered to say hello. She glared at me the entire time she was here. They were late every time and good luck getting a return phone call. I left 4 messages and no one ever called me back. Your marketing is misleading. You advertise$29 for a rental that was actually 100+. I only traveled a small distance with all but 5 miles or less dedicated to the move the rest was picking up and returning the truck. I was charge $25 more when the truck was returned. I booked online for this rental, but that seemed to make little difference as I had to go through everything again in the store. When hooking up the trailer to my truck the two employees seemed to go over everything well and checked to make sure all the lights were working. THE BIG PROBLEM was when I got to my location, which was not near here or any other store, I parked the trailer and when I went to load my items, I found a keyed padlock on the door. I then had to drive about 15 minutes each way with the trailer to PURCHASE bolt cutters to be able to open the door. How was this never seen? Also, no one had ever looked inside the trailer from the previous rental as it hadn't been swept out and I found a thumb drive (easily seen) on the floor. I proceeded to give this to the gentleman checking the trailer back in and hope the previous customer got it. William HartwickWILLIAM SANFORD H.
The check in process took 40 minutes, instead of the 10 minute process, promised on the web site. The van we were assigned was in the middle of other vans and trucks. An employee came out and assigned us another van, he was great. The rest of the move went great. I was surprised how much the van could hold. We brought the van back, after hours. The check in process went a lot quicker; however, the picture that was sent, to drop off the keys, did not match this location. We had to search for the drop off box for the key. Other than that, I would recommend the van to anyone needing to move.Jeanette H.

I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone! It is too expensive! I used a 10' truck within the city limit for a couple of hours and I ended up paying $83!MOHAMMAD H.
Rude employee. Long wait time. Employee refused to help offload trailer. Asked me to pull around back, back trailer into narrow slip, then come find him. I dropped trailer off in pouring rain and employee never inspected trailer for damage. Alerted employee that I called Uhaul customer service re uhaul trailer door jam and tail light. Asked employee to notate that the sliding door wasn't working properly and tail light out. Employee refused to notate. Will never do business with uhaul again and advise others to avoid uhaul as well. The uhaul location was filthy. Inside was disgusting.Caleb M.
Inside of driving area was not clean. Spilled drink residue and smelled of smoke. Windshield was cracked but did not notice until defroster melted ice and snow. This should have been revealed. Did call customer serves within 20 minutes to advise and they resolved. Second time We have been shorted on pads, only received 21, not 24. Pads came in four tied plastic bags so did not take time to count. Will always count in the future! Vehicle handled great, easy to maneuver, heater was great given the cold weather and the cost was worth the inconveniences. Would recommend U Haul.LOUISANTONIO L.

Actually have the truck on site that was reserved would help lol. My experience with U Haul was TERRIBLE. They didnt have the truck I reserved. Then I had to drive back 20 miles to get the dolly i reserved. The key didnt work to the lock so I had to go purchase another one. And the truck felt and sounded like it was going to break down. * Customer service was bad. Arrived at 9am when it opened and had to wait 15min for service to start. There was another client in front of me and only at 9:25min someone was able to help me * The truck was in bad shape: Roof of the truck was leaking (I found out when it started to rain later in the day) and some of my things got wet. Passenger door lock was very tricky to get it to open. * I was returning after hours and for some reason the app to return the vehicle did not work with my motorola smartphone (the picture that is needed to show the odometer was not being accepted). After 10 min trying to get it to work we decided to use my wife's iphone and finally it workedFERNANDOALFONSO M.

The trailer I was given for my rental only had working trailer lights on one side. My turn signals & break lights worked, but I was driving at night and it would have been nice to have full working lights to see all the way around the trailer while going down the road. Your employees are apparently not required to wear a mask. The young man behind the counter around noon on 11/7/2020 had a mask around his neck, but not over his nose and mouth. I mentioned it to him, and he just slid it up, but within a few seconds it was back down around his chin doing him and U-Haul customers no good. Your supervisors are not doing their job.
