Reoccuring problem with system,,,both times I have rented a truck from uhaul, I have donated 5$ to whatever it asked metoo and the total transaction was wiped out and we needed to start over.

The truck 30 min into our one way drive to Stockton California from Tempe the AC stopped blowing cold air. This was the worst U-Haul experience ever. It was so hot the seats are leather which is okay but if the AC would have been working. The temperature on the day that I moved hit 114 degrees and I traveled with a 5 year.

DREADFUL experience! The office was horribly understaffed, some the people at the counter were unprepared and not able to efficiently complete the transactions, the waiting time was outrageous. Personal conversations took up customer time and it was overall, a disrespectful, time-wasting, complete lack of customer service experience...guess Ryder/Home Depot, etc. will be my next place to rent from in the future. I felt like I had been issued a 'screw you' attitude (and I should receive a reimbursement on the gas/mileage paid) but was told I'd have to wait even longer (past 22 minutes I had already been at the office) before that could even be looked at and processed. SHAME ON U-HAUL!!!!!!!

If equipment is returned one hour after the 24 hour period (in my case, I returned the truck 25 hours after renting it), please consider prorating the rental charge for the extra hour rather than charging the customer for an entire additional day. I had the truck for 1 additional hour, not 24!

Ensure trailers are ready to go and enough people are working so The customer doesn’t have to wait 90 minutes to pick up the trailer.

Mobile pick up worked well, but took a little longer than expected. The truck was not where the website said it should be and it was in a really tight parking spot behind the location. I was able to get it out without any issue, but it definitely was not easy. Also, I thought I would be able to drive around the storage units to get to the exit, but there were trailers parked in the corner so it was not possible to fit the JH around the building without risking hitting the barrier post. I ended up having to back out of the parking area, and pull a multi-point turn to get the truck to the exit. It was a little tricky. The JH would have been able to make the corner had the trailers been parked half way up the storage building so that the truck could have turned wider.

This locations manager is great! Very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. I cannot remember his name, but he is a well rounded individual. Also, facility is clean and easy to access.

I was overcharged for a furniture dolly that I neither ordered, received, nor used. I was also charged for furniture pads that I did not use. The photo of the returned truck's cargo area will show the zip tie unbroken. Additionally, the truck was completely unlocked when I picked it up. Couldn't anyone come along and steal dollies and such from the truck? Given my experience, I would assume that Uhaul would charge the customer for the stolen equipment. After receiving my invoice, I emailed the location and received no reply.

We tried to go through the app that UHaul suggested and it took over half an hour to get through the process. When we finally got through the check-in and opened the truck our furniture pads we had previously reserved were not included so I had to go inside and wait in line only to be told they were out of furniture pads. I was still charged for the furniture pad rental even though I had not received them and had to spend my rental time waiting in line for them to tell me they were unavailable.

Well the manager , i think it Mathew , big guy, absolutely proffesional very nice person. made the whole rental process an excellent experience . Then when i returned the trailer it was 1 1/2 hours before opening and Neftali Martin let me return the trailer and be on my way . These people at this location are absolutely the best an employer could ask for .

If your other locations can't honor a reservation, that's a problem. I was happy the McClintock location was able to accommodate me, but the University/Rural location appeared to be deliberately not interested in helping me find a solution. 24 hour return was not as easy as it should have been.

The Location itself was fine. My issues were with the Corporate Customer Service. I sat on hold for 40+ minutes and never spoke to a person to try and resolve the issues I had picking up the vehicle. They really need to get their act together.

The truck and rental was fine. The AC in the truck would rotate the fan so the vents would provide flow for a while before it rotates to the vents near your feet and then the defrosting vents near the from windshield. We could not find a way to keep the fan blowing thru the front vents.

The ramp was broken and we had to repair it twice to get it into the holder. When I took the truck back and asked for a reduction on the truck, I was given and answer of well we won't charge you for the broken ramp. I let Jeremy know I didn't like that answer, so he took $20 off the bill. If I would have been by myself or didn't have handy guy with me U-haul would have had to come to the storage unit with another truck. Won't be back to that location and I may rethink about using U-haul again.

I returned the vehicle at 6:45 PM 15 minutes before closing and stood by my truck for 5 minutes then went inside. I was to wait by the truck. When I asked how long I would have to wait. I was told "it will be awhile" then was told - actually we are closed you should do check in online make sure you take pictures I asked what I should do with the keys and was told " just lock the truck and put the keys in the orange box outside". I took pics locked the truck and saw the rep who gave me the instructions outside so I gave the keys to her. She said "you are done already?" I left and completed the online checkin later in the evening.

Give the staff a weekend in Hawaii!! They are all exceptional and respresent your brand in the utmost professional and efficient way i could possibly imagine. They understood my goals from the start and really made me feel like they are a wonderful team. Kudos!!

The young woman who helped me check out our rental uhaul was very rude and seem to have something going on in her life or not feeling good for whatever reason she was rude and not very nice of a person to be working as customer service. Other that that as I rent mu rental the next day .... I had the opportunity to deal with a very nice professional older female that made me feel better also the Manager Jeremy was professional also.

Your 24/7 mobile app is definitely not the best. I initially had ordered online for some furniture pads ( rent) and they weren’t available, not on my order or the stores. Thanks uhaul, for delaying moving process for an hour and not posting online that the furniture covers aren’t available for rent in your stores. Very poor service.

After dropping trailer in the yard per the employee's direction, I received 4 phone calls from the local branch, asking when I was planning on returning the trailer. I advised them each time that I had already returned it and put in the yard per the gentlemen's direction at the return bay. The following Tuesday, I received an invoice for the trailer being returned in Colorado and my credit card was again charged for the trip from Mesa, AZ to CO.

I've always hated U-Haul. Your service sucks, but it's a service I've frequently needed, so I continue to rent trailers from you guys. Never, ever, ever again. I don't have the time to detail every way in which this experience sucked, but it sucked in pretty much every way possible. You CLEARLY don't care about customer service. It's non-existent. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in 45 years of life. You guys have just given up. You don't care what you reputation is, you just rent whatever rickety piece of sh*t you happen to have on the lot at the time to some poor sucker who just wants to move his stuff. Really, this was the last straw. I'll never, ever, ever rent a U-Haul again. Ever. Period. Thanks for asking my opinion!

Friendlier and more courteous behind the counter staff. I rented a unit online and the staff member said it was pre booked thru the location. Told me too bad and he wasn’t releasing the uhaul. He told me to deal with it with the 800 number or find another one elsewhere.

I was instructed by text the day before pick up to call to confirm. First call was dropped after being on hold over 10 minutes. Second call I was on hold 12 minutes before finally connecting. Also, the wrong trailer number was on the contract.

So picked up truck with slightly more than 1/4 tank. Returned with slightly more than 1/4 tank but it wasn't half way between 1/4 and 1/2 so they charged me $16.00 for probably 3 gallons after I just spent $2600 renting truck and trailer. I laughed and said that's fine, little subjective on the needle. I'll just make a comment in review. Then the guy at check in said oh maybe I can put a credit it on your card thinking that would get a better review. Told him interesting that I didn't get the same confirmation of a credit like I did for the charge. Waited a good week now, nope no credit. Getting ready for the same trip and won't be using uhaul or this location again. Think about customer service for $16 when someone just doesn't $2600 with you.

The young lady who helped us was friendly and great. We did not have a reservation but I needed to move my daughter out of her apt within a few hours due to personal emergency. It was busy holiday weekend so everything was pretty much booked, but the young lady did some searching and found a one way available for us and had it ready quickly. I left very happy, relieved and grateful she went an extra step for us.

your fees are off the chart, $125 for a 15' truck that I drove a round trip of 20 miles in town and returned in 12 hours. I was supposed to receive a refund and have not. seems when speaking to the people at the location ignored everything we agreed on with the refund. not happy, been going to you guys for years at that location. -Jay Fotos

The guy that checked the truck in was super helpful and nice. The guy that checked in the transport dolly was super friendly and nice. The GM was a big guy, blonde hair, but was unfriendly and made us feel super uncomfortable. We are a mixed race couple and it felt like racism. He didn’t want to get off his chair, didn’t smile, didn’t even say hello just stared at us range up my tape and boxes. It felt like I was trying to force a conversation. This happened when we dropped off the auto transport. But the guys working outside in the heat were super friendly and helpful. A GM represents your entire company. Horrible feeling

Get a new employee. The lady who helped us was rude, not helpful, did not honor our reservation, and did not properly do checks on the vehicle with me prior to giving me the vehicle to take. Horrible customer service. Additionally, the vehicle was listed as 1/2 fuel when I picked it up but was at 1/4. I filled it to 3/4 before returning but have not gotten any reimbursement.

I was supposed to have my truck for 4 days. They made a mistake and only put 3 days on the contract, then called me after 2 days to ask me why the truck wasn't back. It was frustrating. The best employee was the woman who checks in the trucks in the morning. She gets 5 *****'s!

Uhaul did a last minute switch on pickup locations which put the new location in a bind, but they managed to poop a truck while we waited. We only had to wait about 5-10 minutes so all was well in the end. The people were most professional about the whole thing. Also on the truck you need to move the speed kills sticker off of the numbers on the speedometer. Interstate speed limits are now up to 80 mph and going slow is just as unsafe as going fast. The sticker made the speedometer hard to read. One does not need that distraction when driving the interstate surrounded by high speed trucks. One should be able to see one's speed at a glance and not have to study the gauge. Speed is an exponential function and when everyone is going 80 and you are going 60 you are a rock.

I had a reservation to get my hitch worked on at 7 am. I selected that I needed to wait for the car. When I arrived the manager was irritated that I was there and stated that I would have to drop it off because he was too busy. So instead of waiting an hour, I disrupted the rest of my day and my wife's day by needing to hitch rides around to the work meetings that I had. In the end, he got the work done within a few hours, but the experience was the worst I've had with a U-Haul location.

Manager Jeremy was very nice. The online price, the price Jeremy gave us when we went in were the same, but when we went in the price the girl gave us was different. I kept telling her it was wrong but she said it wss. Also same girl told me I needed an adaptor for tge electric hook up and I didn't. These were both resolved but very discouraging

Have all agents retrained at the 202 & McLintock location, this was the worse experience of my life, I've never been so humiliated and treated so bad in my life,The GM is a disgusting person with no regard for others, Netayli is the best they have! She was the only employee that tried to correct this horrible choice with going to this location.
