Took 40 minutes to get a simple trailer. The one they originally hooked up was not in the computer system. So they had to start over removing that and attaching another. The men working -Marcus on Sunday and Christopher on Monday were prompt and courteous and tried to meet our needs, though Marcus was as frustrated as we were about the computer glitch.

Special thanks to the General Manager at U-Haul location on Main St. He walked us through the processes for truck pickup, and how/where to return the truck. This was truly the best U-Haul renting experience ever.

I dealt with several locations, because the first location I went to at 10am(my pickup time) was in west Seneca. That location did not have My truck . I had movers scheduled to be at my home at 11am. The first location.didn't even find me a truck until 1130, didn't even bring the truck to me I had to drive to the other location. The buffalo main street location. After driving there to pick up the truck, the representatives attempted to.charge me AGAIN. MIND YOU I ALREADY PAID 250. Spent nother half an hour refusing to pay because I already paid, and the rep finally called and verified it was paid I didn't leave the facility till 1240. The movers could not wait for me anymore as I.only had them.for 2 hours so they left. I didn't get my appliances or anything moved, only the small boxes I could carry on my own. I lost money for movers and paid for a uhaul that I didn't even need anymore because without the movers I only could carry SOME boxes. I'm hundreds and.hundreds of dollars in the hole because of u haul and not only.did I not get a refund, I've never gotten an apology either. I still have all my stuff at my old house with no way to pay for another truck or movers again. I'm extremely disappointed.

The store manager needed more customer service training. I always get a 1 bedroom truck, my booking was entered wrong and I received a larger truck that I did not want. I ask your manager twice if there was anything he could do for me, after I asked him the second time he lost his patience with me. I told him never mind, I asked if he could give me the truck at the lower rate of the 1 bedroom truck and he never acknowledged my question. Your employees should receive regular customer training. I will be taking my business to another rental company next year.

I used the mobile pickup option... and this is now the second time it has not been ready when I've tried this option. I showed up at 10am sharp for my reservation only to find the app to say "equipment not assigned, see an associate" So, this now meant I had to wait in line at this busy location, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by using mobile pickup. Once I was called up from line, the associate was not exactly the most customer service forward. I asked if mobile pickup was not something that worked at this location, because this was now the second time it hadn't worked. His response was "it works, but we're too busy this morning." He continued the reservation process and wen through all the upselling for boxes, etc. - as well as having to put my credit card on file again, all things I did ahead of time . It annoying to have to do it again. If you're employees are not going to process the mobile pickup requests because they're "too busy" - don't offer it as an option at this store.

I had my original reservation with the genesee st store and my truck was not there. They sent me to the main st store and they didnt have my truck available either. I had to end up renting a 10 truck which was an inconvenience due to the fact I needed a truck yesterday and I had to move my whole house. This was bad customer service and the worst experience ever.

Be honest in your work. Gentleman in the office assisting me with my rental took a personal call. Were told to return the truck with a full tank yet I drove less than 25 miles and I paid $15.00 to fill the gas tank. This is not good Customer Setvice!

the two clerks working when I got there, were incompetent and useless.. I had to return the truck 5 minutes after checking out. due to mechanical issues...they couldn't have screwed up the payment info, any more if the actually tried

There is was an issues with picking up the truck and as well returning. 1. picking up the 10' truck that we reserved, has been give away to someone else without an explanation and we were given a 15' truck instead. 2. Returning our rental was another mess as there was a $15 extra charge that we have not been made away of. *we even attempted to call and solve this issues, have been on the phone the longest and no answers. please call have a manager call us to solve this problem as we are a regular customers and not really happy with this problem. phone: 716-748-5492-Abdul

1. Have the correct truck, reserved by the customer, ready when the customer arrives, rather than a surprise replacement of a smaller truck for the same price. 2. Put some gas in the tank. 3. Don't insist on holding a person's passport - if you don't trust me, say so, I'll go somewhere else.

Had an appointment to pick up a van and waiting for over 30 minutes. Only 2 people working the counter. Van itself was very dirty inside and smelled horrible. Many parts of the vehicle were broken including interior lights and the handle inside.

when I called then told me one would be ready by 9 am, when I received the confirmation email it was for 12 pm. I feel they should keep the time, and if there is a change there should be a phone call, as well as a text message/email.

The return process was a nightmare. The website never allowed me to create an account to return the truck so I had to call a customer service representative. The representatives kept passing me along from person to person, until I finally reached someone.

I arrived at 10 to find out my truck that I reserved for 9-5 was given to someone else because I wasn’t there at 9. If this is really the company’s policy to give away trucks after a reservation period has started, it needs to be clearer. It was infuriating that on a (rainy) day when I had friends and family coming to help me move, my truck was given to another person and I might have to reschedule the entire operation. Aside from that, the customer service was horrible. After waiting a very long time to be waited on, when we were told the truck was given to someone else and my reservation cancelled, no alternatives were offered. I was told “Yeah...that reservation was for 9...that was like an hour ago.” As thrilled as I was with the assistance telling time, I was not thrilled that I had to work out of the GENERAL MANAGER of the store if there was any truck I could use so that I could avoid being charged by my landlord for staying past my lease. To reiterate: the person taking care of me in the store was the general manager who demonstrated complete incompetence with regard to customer service, and who couldn’t give a flying fuck that my whole day might’ve been fucked. The truck was given to me with low tire pressure and a tank that wasn’t completely full. It’s disappointing that Uhaul has such a high standard for its customers to arrive the minute their reservation starts, yet such low standards with regard to customer service and their machinery. If I can, I will likely avoid this service in the future; however, knowing that might not be possible, I Hope Uhaul can use this feedback to improve. I don’t want to deal with this shitshow again.

i Was moving from Ohio to New York. When I arrived to pick up van I was in formed that I needed two forms of ID. This was not communicated to me and I had no way to procure my passport when I am 200 miles from home. I explained this to front desk person and he eventually allowed me to rent vehicle with a valid drivers license. If this is a u haul policy better communication is needed. Thank you

I realize it's not something you have a lot of control over but when people do not refill the fuel before they return a truck it is a major inconvenience to the next renter. I was on a fairly tight schedule so to find a gas station and fill the tank before I could begin my move was not something I had planned on. Otherwise I have used your location on several occasions and would recommend it.

Windshield wiper blade was totally worn out and grinding on the glass and I couldn't see when it started to rain. Gas gauge was not reading correctly. I added the correct amount of fuel and the gauge never moved. I ended up overfilling by $15.

I didn't get any instructions on the operation of the truck which would of been helpful. I couldn't adjust the mirrors and didn't realized the "Load / Haul" light was on until I had gone about 50 miles . But once I did there was a sticker on the dash well placed which made that easy to correct.

Upon return, your staff refused to address my concern. They did not try to proactively resolve the issue. Instead, they told me to come back the following day. How is that a reasonable comment? They were more concerned about getting back to their cell phone text message conversations than taking care of a customer. I am awaiting contact from a manager regarding a complaint I made by phoning your call center.

I reserved my truck far in advance (several weeks). When we arrive to pick it up at our scheduled time, we waited 45 minutes for the truck. The staff gave us barely an explanation simply saying there was a problem in the computer. They hardly acknowledged us the whole time we were there and there was clearly no sense of urgency to solve the issue. They also hardly acknowledged us when we came back to drop it off. They were not helpful and generally rude. Would never recommend, and will be using another moving truck service in the future.

We entered store to rent a truck to .over our daughter locally. We did not have reserved truck. Although we're were in the store prior to three other people who were returning trucks, we were made to wait until they were taken care of first. That included the staff person to go out and check the vehicles coming in for damage. Thais is a ppor business practice. If I had been familiar with area and knew of a different place to rent, I would have left. Won't return.

Poor, i move-in changed to 29th from 800 #, local facilty never got message I showed up and was told come back in AM. Storage was advertised as 10x4x8, it was more like 8x3.4x6.5. Went to LifeStorage

the issue i have with Uhaul storage is the $15 late fee. I recieved emails and letters clearly stating that it would be waived if i sign up for auto pay. i did and was told by the mgr no to waiving it

Initially the staff was rude and unaccommodating... no one would even answer the phone. By the end of my experience they were MUCH more friendly and I just stopped trying to call when I had a question
