A Very satisfied customer. The staff that helped us was very thorough and answered all our questions. They had even put new tires on the trailer since they know we were going a long distance. My experience was an absolute nightmare! It started when they gave my reserved truck away that I reserved 2 days prior. I was confused because I thought a reservation had meaning. Then my reserved time was cut short and I was call ed to be told my truck needed to be returned. They then charged my card when I asked them not to because I would be paying cash. I was told that is an option to use a card to hold it but can pay cash when I drop it off. I had the truck 4 day and I was on the phone with uhaul everyday because my reservation was continued to be messed up. Each time I spoke to customer service representatives at corporate they all gave me different policy information from "I was fine" to " well to extend a reservation we meseed up you have to pay $150.00 plus my charge upto date to extend a reservation I had already thought I had when I reserved the truck the day I picked it up. The last day I had the truck was the final straw of how horrible uhaul is. I had 3 customer service representatives hang up on me when asked if I could speak to a supervisor or manager due to my experience being an absolute nightmare. I finally am transfered to a denver colorado regional manager where by mid conversation she tells me she is hanging up on me due to the lack of competence from the representative at corporate all telling me something different. After being hung up on by a regional manager I spoke to one last lady who works in corporate at the reservation center who went outside her area just to help me with the issues we were having. All I needed to do was extend the reservation one day again due to my reservation being messed up by uhaul to begin with. I will never use uhaul again!!!!! And I will tell everyone the same not to use you guys due to being treated as if I did something wrong and being misled by the customer service representatives I spoke to.

My only issue was company policy of needing 3 phone numbers to use storage. When arriving at a new location with nowhere to live yet, no Job yet and not friends and family this is a bit unreasonable.

I changed trailers and they did not accurately tell me how much the price increase would be. It went from about $230 with everything for the 5X8 trailer I originally rented, to $400 when I went to a size up. But they told me it would be about $300. Which was accurate, but only for the trailer before any fees and add on's I had. This was very disappointing.

The cost of renting are too high. I perceive Uhaul too expensive. And all this automatic things ro do with the phone in order to rent it and return it are not fun. Also there are too many hidden fees and cost

The process STILL takes over 30 minutes even if you are completely checked in using the App. You STILL MUST go inside to the counter even if you tell the attendant at the lot that you are all checking IN! Disappointing! Worthless app!

The employees are all fantastic at this store. However, the truck I rented should NOT be in service. The alignment and steering is dangerously out of form. Luckily I was able to drive on back streets and was able to avoid the interstate cos this truck would KILL people at any speed above 30mph.

Our storage unit that we had reserved was occupied and they didn't know until they walked me over to it. They moved me to the 3rd floor and then the realized the elevator was inoperable. They then moved us to a satellite location, with no workers. We had to drive down there durinf rush hour traffic unload as quickly as possible and then rush back to drop off or trailer. The staff were extremely unhelpful and didn't offer us any assistance. Also, the assistant manager was there and didn't even offer to comp us anything for all the issues we had that were their fault. Additionally, we visited our storage unit the next day to pick up a jacket and the man working their was unbelievably rude and threatened to cut off my lock if I didn't remove it because I had 2. I have the uhaul disk lock and an additional Brinks lock. No one told me I could have it and there are numerous other units that have 2 locks or a lock that isn't the uhaul disk lock. I was very upset to be singled out and treated poorly. I will never be using uhaul services ever again. I am removing my things from the storage unit as quickly as possible.

Denver location made everything about my move horrible, forgot equipment, lost keys to truck, vehicle inside was still dirty from previous drivers, given less miles allowed than actual trip took, was told my account was credited for forgotten items but when I got to drop off location I was charged for missing items that Denver Uhaul store did not give me! management never answered emails after asking how they could assist. Whatever you do avoid this location.

The pickup location wouldn't allow moving helpers to pick up boxes then they only dropped off one of my two boxes so I had moving helpers here with only one of the two boxes to unload. They did delivery later that day and took care of delivery fee or so they said. I haven't seen the credit yet.

The staff is all very friendly. Some hard working and kind, and a couple bad apples but nothing bad. My only concern was that I'd returned the truck completely full on fuel, yet they put that I returned it less than what it was. This is obviously frustrating considering they charge $3.75 a gallon.

I tried to call to alert them that my return would be 330pm rather than 2pm. I was put on hold for 10 mins. Gave up. Called back 15 mins later and was asked would I go on hold. I said no and that I just wanted extension. She sounded exasperated thanked me for my patience, which sounded like sarcasm. Otherwise all was fine. I felt better treated at the east colfax location the time before today's rental on west colfax. Newer truck at East side too.

I made a reservation for a 5x8 tow trailer about 10 days in advance of my pick-up date. To my frustration, this uhaul location did not have a 5x8 trailer on location. They gave away my reservation! Supposedly I am supposed to receive a $50.00 discount on my bill, but no one has called me as the uhaul employee promised. It took over an hour to pick up a 5x8 trailer, and I was the only customer waiting for service! Unacceptable.

So I'm mixed. My initial impression of this place was not very good. When I first got there, there was one service agent and one customer. I stood behind that customer for 10 minutes without one word being said to me. I would of hoped for at least acknowledge I'm there. I had another agent come in for a sec, but never acknowledged me either. By 15 minutes, I was at the point where I was going to leave. However, I soon received help from another agent. The pickup and drop-off experience was good though. They were very quick and professional when I dropped off the trailer after a long, hard day of moving.

I could not get a rental car and this Uhaul Place really went above and beyond for me. They gave me a truck that was bigger than I wanted but gave me a $200 discount. My children and I would have been stranded without these guys since no rental car place will take a customer without a credit card. Very awesome people work here!

I was stuck in traffic due to an accident and I called to see if ,one I could return the trailer to a closer location ,or two have a little grace period on my return no more than 2 extra hours, I was denied even though there was an after hours drop and it was the end of day so there wasn't a customer waiting to pick it up , I will not rent from this location again!

I have already made a formal complaint, but I was charged for 5.6 gallons of gas after only driving 9 miles. That is truly absurd and is tantamount to theft. Unless Uhaul makes this right, I will never use them again or recommend them.

Truck was clean and in good visual appearance. At 50 mph the brakes shook and the truck seemed to have an alignment problem. This was a bit concerning while driving on the highway. I did not feel safe driving this truck on the highway or for any period of distance. Otherwise, my experience as fantastic. The staff was very helpful, easy to work with and it was quick in and out with check in and vehicle return.

Have used this uhaul location twice now and both times have been overcharged for fuel because the gauge did not match what the front desk agent said it would be. The attendant at the truck said he would fix it and both times it was not adjusted. Furthermore the second time I returned the rental truck after close and my car was blocked in by other rented trucks in the customer parking lot. I then had to take a 15$ lyft home. With the inconvenience of trying to figure out how to pick my car up the following day.

While driving out to Denver I sustained a burn on my right foot from heat coming out near the gas pedal. I didn't have the heat on it was just coming up from the engine. I just want this fixed so the next person who drives that vehicle doesn't burn themselves either. I can send you a picture of my foot if need be.

I was supposed to pick up a van at 6 pm using the after hours system and the U-Haul app at 1709 W. Colfax. After logging into the app, I discovered no vehicle had been assigned to my reservation. The only contact number provided was 720-281-4070, belonging to someone named Steven. Steven did not answer ANY of my calls and only responded slowly via text message, starting with "Who is this?" He refused to pick up the phone and would only text back every 10 minutes. His pitiful level of communication left me waiting in a parking lot without answers for a full 30 minutes before someone from the regional office called me to tell me to drive to another location to pick up a van. I demanded a full refund and while the regional office rep did issue the refund, I then had to wait in line at the alternate location for an additional 20 minutes. All in all, this put me a full hour behind schedule. Given that the U-Haul app did not work for me the first time I used the service, and given that my dad experienced the same lackadaisical communication and slow customer service when he tried to rent his own van, I can safely say I will not only be avoiding U-Haul at all costs in the future, but I will be actively persuading my friends to avoid them as well. The abysmal level of customer service is simply not worth the headache. Go elsewhere for your moving needs.

So I rented a 26 foot truck the night before picking up the truck you downsize me to a 20 foot truck with a 6 foot trailer. This equipment that was given to me wasn't adequate to pull my load over the mountains and it took us more time than it should have. It was.horrible experience! This by far was the most worst part of moving I will not recommend this U-Haul to no one. I feel that when your employees rent a vehicle that they make adequate for the person who is renting them. This is your job and your profession not mine.

To no fault of theirs, when I arrived my location and time for pick up was MOVED TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION which was unacceptable, as we were 2 miles from the house we were moving out of. This must have been a centralized decision from their logistics staff, even thought there was a truck in my size available at the site and time I requested. IT WAS A VERY BAD DECISION BY SOMEONE IN THE CENTRAL OFFICE TO MAKE, AND THIS TYPE OF ACTION IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND DOESN'T WARRANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We ordered a 26 ft with weeks notice and received a call the day before that it wouldn't be available. The following day, I reserved another trailer because we filled our first occupancy at which point I called the location to confirm it was available and they assured me it was. When my husband arrived, he watched the trailer being towed off the property and then was told there was never one there. The worker then assured him he confirmed one at another location where they drove and there was not one available and the workers told my husband that the last man had actually cancelled our order completely. We spent 3 hours simply trying to find the trailer we had reserved.

We called 3days in advance to reserve a one way uhall. We needed to clean out our existing storage pod, which we were told would be ready and waiting for us when we got there. (And that the pod was located at the same site where we were to pick up the uhall- we confirmed this over the phone several times because we needed to time everything as to not get stuck in traffic). We got a confirmation email saying everything would be ready at 12:00pm. The uhall was ready at noon but the pod was across town. Drove to the pod site. They had no idea who we were and had to look up our pod number and location. They couldn't access it for two hours! By the time we got everything loaded (what should have taken us maybe an hour total) had turned into a 3 hour ordeal plus the 2.5 hours of traffic we then got stuck in trying to get out of Denver! When we dropped the uhall off the next morning we were charged a PENALTY fee for extra mileage because we had had to drive all the way across town from the uhall pick up location to the pod location in Denver, which was not accounted for in our price quote! The whole ordeal was completely stressful and rediculous!

Im going to type this fast: apologies for the shortness. I reserved a truck for a full day more than 24 hours in advance, but when I arrived to pick up the truck it was scheduled to be returned at 11:30am, with no other options to extend the agreement. The rep basically said I had to have it back by 11:30am or they wouldn't give it to me, and since they already knew I needed it until the end of the day the did not want to give me the truck for fear I would keep it and just pay the penalties. After I called competitors in the lobby to check their availability, the manager offered a much larger truck until 4pm for the price of the small one I wanted. This was a great solution, if only it had it been offered an hour earlier. Second issue was that I ordered a dolly and blankets and during the inspection the back was dirty and not equipped with those items. The guy said he would take care of the back so I hopped in the cab since I was in a hurry being an hour late to move already. He hopped in the back with the air hose and I heard rustling and banging around so I assumed he put the dolly and blankets in. When I arrived 30 minutes away at my destination I discovered he had forgotten the dolly and blankets. Long story short, I called to see if I could get a dolly and blankets from the nearest store, after 30 minutes on the phone (I was routed to a national call center) that was sorted out and she sent me to the nearest store that had stock of the dolly/blankets. When I arrived there was only one set left and they were in the process of giving it to someone else. I explained to them the situation and they were rude and reluctant to give me the items but after my visible frustration decided to give me the dolly and blanket. I planned to get started at 8am, I didn't get started until 10:30 and still had to have the truck back by 4pm. This day really sucked mostly due to the ball dropped THREE times by various UHAUL employees. What is going on over there?!

The employee that helped me get the truck was literally a joy to work with. No small thing. The truck had like 60,000 miles on it but the cab was clean and actually smelled like a new car too. The cargo area was clean, no dust or debris. I got the 10 foot truck and it drove with hardiness; V8 engine I think. Returned it using the cell phone check out -- uploaded pics of odometer, gas meter, cab and cargo area. My card was billed. Dropped keys in the drop box to the side of the front entrance. Very easy and kind of fun too. And it's in a cool industrial area of Denver. Truly, I liked the experience. Moving a studio of stuff on a weeknight can be just Not Fun. But I kind of enjoyed it. UHaul was seamless: no BS, quick. I'm strapped for cash and I typically don't dispense US Bancnotes without wincing. Grateful to just have a honest to goodness, high quality, economical experience.

This is my second weekend in a row needing a van from this location and both times have gone splendidly. They offered to vacuum out someone's loose soil that was left in the back as soon as they recognized it and when i was going to be late with the return they were completely understanding and graciously extended my rental time. The process was painful. 1st, UHaul asks me online wear the most convenient pick up location would be, then later tells me where I will have to pick up my truck and trailer. 15 mile further away in Downtown Denver, at Rush Hour! I've rented from Uhaul 3 times in the past 8 months. This experience was by far the worst. I've rented the same type of trailer THREE times now, but this location (1) demanded a secondary phone # -- something other locations did not and something I don't have nor don't want to share, (2) asked crazy questions like ... what's my ball weight ... I'm not a moving expert, I bought my hitch from you guys, and this is my third rental in 8 months ... you guys figure this out, don't ask consumers technical questions and treat them like idiots if they can't answer them. This really calls out that UHaul hasn't done a good job of caretaking a customer profile., (3) they tried to charge me the wrong / higher amount for what I rented -- if I didn't have my email/online receipt, they would have succeeded, and (4) they then tried to give me the wrong size of equipment. This location was a complete fail from a renting perspective, and some of their inside management was just plain rude.

I seriously would put poor performance if the checkout and the cleanliness of the vehicle were not smooth and effortless. However, I had a reservation for a 9" van, and once I get there at 10:00am, I was told that I would have a truck reservation instead. The gal at the front desk told me there were already reservations for the vans, and I could not receive the van, even though there were several vans IN THE PARKING LOT. She also advised me that I could not have those ones in the lot because it was already reserved, even though I showed her my reservation confirmation email on my phone. If my reservation got changed to a truck, why wasn't I notified? Furthermore, if it was reserved to someone else, obviously I was there before them, so why didn't I receive the van I requested and RESERVED? Why even get a reservation, if it is not going to be what it is when you show up? Every time I have used U-Haul, there is always something that goes wrong. I will never be using U-Haul ever again, and will advise all friends and family to never use U-Haul. There are plenty of better alternatives out there, and I will be using them in the future.

At check-in the rate was not what was quoted and after explaining to the attendants at the desk. They would not listen until a manager arrived and explained the rate I received was correct for a Thursday at $0.79 p/mile vs. the $0.99 p/mile they insisted I received. The whole experience was horrible I spent a small fortune on taxi's before I found a center with the van I ordered. After waiting in line for 1 hour at the original pick up spot to learn they didn't have a working van, like I reserved, I had to take another taxi across town, at my expense of course. Although this facility was good I will not use uhaul again in the future.

The location was maintained very well but the equipment needed some work. I felt like the truck I rented was going to break down on the freeway when I drove it. Also, when I picked up the truck it had less than a quarter of the tank. I asked if they would fill up the tank and I could pick it up later or if I could fill the tank up and get a credit for doing so and they said no to both accounts. You should implement an option for people to fill up the tank to the top and get a credit for the fuel. Then you dont have to hire somebody to fill up the tank. If you dont want to offer something like that then at least have your tanks full so renters dont have to worry about running out of gas.

The fee was $19 a day, I was told I could use it for. 3 or 6 hours. I was never informed that the $19. Was for 24 hours. When I returned the truck they charged me for more than a half a tank. When I went to deniey insurance it was not available only the more expensive plans. This company are becoming thieves.

The truck smelled like a mix between an ashtray of cigars that had been sitting out in the rain over night and a bucket of vomit. Yet, the guy who checked the mileage just laughed and said..."It smells fine! I mean, its a rental truck!" Picture taken by my girlfriend of me gagging / nearly vomiting next to the truck as it smelled so terrible, especially as it was a hot day, has already gotten over 450 reactions on Facebook. But who cares....its just a rental truck!?!

When I booked online weeks ago, I explicitly asked your rep to MAKE SURE I could get a storage unit where I can just drive the car up and then unload it. I have physical issues and wanted something easy. I get there, and your guy at the location said they don't have that option there, so someone screwed up. Next, I really can't believe all the personal information they need for me to just rent a storage unit. They wanted 3 numbers, two names, multiple addressees. This is a clear invasion of mu privacy. I am over 18, a simple disclosure stating my responsibilities and me accepting what happens would be sufficient. For this reason, I will never use a storage unit at Uhaul again. And if all this is required, doesn't it make sense to do it AT THE TIME I BOOK THE RESERVATION? After driving 1800 miles the last thing I want to do it dig for that information. Lastly, and to me this is a total scam, your guy at the location said they require each unit locked. I can understand that, I had many locks with me but he said it HAD to be a circular one, which he was holding. So of course I asked how do I get it, he said I can wait until they do a walk thru and they lock it and I will get a key for free or I can pay $12.95 for it and lock it myself. TOTAL SCAM and I am more than pissed on this, I plan to go there and find the MAIN owner and file a complaint. I could have used my free lock and to force me to buy something is extremely pushy and not what a big company like UHAUL should be doing. I am going to DEMAND my $12.95 back. I could not believe I had this bait and switch pulled on me, you guys should really be ashamend of yourselves.

It first directed me to the Lipan St. location before I found a van in the lot that mentioned a Lower Colfax location on its side, which I called and found that was the correct location. Monday morning Mark from the Mile High Denver location called and left a voicemail on my phone threatening to charge me for a locksmith to open the door. You guys had the key the whole time. Not necessarily a negative...the vehicle exterior wasn't washed, but it was earth day and would have been a waste of water! The interior was fine, but had a few forgotten items in the cargo area - unused boxes and a roll of packing tape, which I returned upon my return. The guys were friendly and helpful as usual and the van met my needs. I've always returned to this location due both to proximity and great service! I'll continue to recommend to others.

The only issue I had was not the location services but when ordering online you put in your pick up location preference but there is no indication your choice will not be honored until 1-2 days prior to pick up. Instead of a 1 mile drive it was a 15 mile drive near downtown Denver.

Charged us $30 over the estimated cost (this is the only location that hasn't charged my card just the estimated total) when we picked up the truck, was told the card would be adjusted if our charges were less. My boyfriend went ahead and paid with his debit card. Our total costs ended up being the estimated total, so we were looking forward to our $30 back. However, it took 5 days for the money to show up in our account. When I called asking where the money was, I was told because he used debit the full amount was taken out and would have to be refunded. If he used credit the money would have been pending and he would have the money in his account sooner. It would be nice for the employees to tell the customers the difference between using credit and debit. With moving we really could have used that $30 sooner.

I want to mention that the guys at mile high station were awesome. It was early Saturday morning on January 14th, and the older gentlemen at the counter was so great. It was really busy but he still welcomed everyone that came in, and took his time with each person. He noticed my boyfriends hat and talked with us about hockey, but was still very efficient with getting us our van. I wish I remembered his name, but he was truly the best and made an experience that is otherwise mundane, quite enjoyable.

Your team delivered 110% customer service on this visit. I was in a last minute pinch for a van on a Sunday, called the location was given quick answers and the option to reserve over the phone or (because there were plenty of vans that day) come in. Upon arrival I was in and out in 10 minutes and the van was waiting for me as soon as I crossed the street. I did my pick up (of furniture) and came back right before close. Upon return I was greeted at the doorstep, charged out (less than my quote) and on my way in about 3 minutes. Talk about efficiency, ease, and all around a great experience!

I had to change my reservation to the Colfax store from an Arvada, CO location due to a reservation screw up by the Wadsworth Blvd. store. They set me up for an 8 AM pick up on a Sunday, when none of them are open until 9 AM. The pick up location was at 5290 Marshall Street in Arvada and looked like a junk yard with sketchy equipment and no one manning the shop, even after 9. AVOID this location! The Colfax shop got me going, but the scheduling screw up made me late throughout the rest of my day. F-!

Seemed to be no GM on site to handle or process the refund we are due given the extremely poor condition of the auto transport (blown tire, straps fell off both tires). That equipment is a liability and driving 1000 miles since the incident was unnecessarily stressful and should not have been. The staff did pass along the card for the district manager, but it's not OK as a customer to have to follow up for days after return to get the proper treatment for such terrible equipment.

Run the roll up door 10 times (up and down) before you drive a trailer off the lot. Make SURE it works smoothly. The first mechanic that repaired the cables said he had to tighten mechanisms on both sides. Still, the cable broke again the next time we opened it. By "broke" I mean the door opened but was unable to close, leaving all belongings exposed to weather and vandalism.

The staffat mile high station were very friendly and helpful. When I made my reservation I was told to go to urban self storage for the 10' truck. The person there said that my reservation was at mile high station. I went there they said my reservation was at Federal location but they had a 10' truck and could accommodate me if I would have the truck back by 5pm. They were very helpful and friendly. Things worked out. I also got a call around 3pm from uhaul reservations that I haven't picked up my truck from Federal. I explained to them the situation that I had a truck from mile high. Some confusion with your reservation department but thanks to the guys at mile high things worked out.

One of the requirements during checkin late at night includes a pic of the odomitor. Without it you cannnot check out. But in the truck we were In, the odomitor only shows for 30 second as after you turn the engine off. Poor instructions, took 40 minutes to accident tally find this out. Upon arrive the trailer I had reserved was mistakenly rented to another party. They located another trailer for me from the Lower Colfax Location. It took an additional 2 hours of the morning to get the promised trailer. The rate I had to pay for the trailer was $41.00 higher than originally agreed upon. As a result there was considerable more driving and waiting. Plus more money :-( Other than that equipment was fine. It was the breakdown and service that created the issue's.

My only feedback I would give U-haul, would be to consider a new pricing structure. I've rented from U-haul multiple times, and I'm consistently frustrated by the fact that the rental is priced on a week structure. I've never needed a trailer for more then 3 days, and it would be much more customer friendly to consider a few different timeline structures. I only rent with U-haul because there isn't really another place to go for trailer rentals.

A little bit more signage to find out where I should go for parking. I'm just not used to having the customer parking across the street from the store. The staff was friendly and did everything to hook up the trailer I rented. Other locations I have been at have had girls that couldn't pick up the trailer so I would always help.

Was not the location arranged for, and was not convenient, but people were helpful. Equip was not clean inside (greasy surfaces) which required extra prep during loading. Also trailer had obviously seen extensive use, so weather seals weren't good or well maintained.

Because of the trailer door not working well, this location offered me a $25 discount. Did the trailer do its job getting me across country? Yes. But we spent at least 1/2 an hour trying to get the door up far enough to empty the trailer and we could never put it back down.

This was, hands down, my best experience at a Uhaul location. I rent trailers and/or trucks a couple of times per year, and have not had this level of service at any other location. Upon picking up the trailer, the gentleman behind the desk walked me out and hooked the trailer up. The drop off, handled by a different associate, went just as smoothly. Both were polite, prompt, and professional. I will be a repeat customer at this location in the future even though it is a little further from another pickup location. Thanks! JM

I made my reservation a month before pickup. It was for a 5X8 from Denver to Las Vegas. The day before pick up, I was called and told to pick up the trailer at a dealer over 15 miles. When I made the reservation it was for the dealer in my neighborhood... one mile away. Why the switch?
