My original booking was at another location - Diesel Monkey Garage at 675 Dease Road, and was supposed to be a web-app pick up. The truck was sitting there, the location was closed on Saturday - but the web system said I couldn't to web pick up and should wait until the location opened at 9am on Saturday. It was 10:00 am on Saturday, and I was told by your system when I booked it that the location WASN'T Opened Saturday. I had originally wanted a booking at the Orchard Park - Enterprise location, so it is very fortunate that I just drove to that location in the VERY LONG time I was waiting on hold, and when I arrived there, the U-Haul phone operator was able to move me to the same type of Van at the new location. My overall experience was good, and the actual rental was fine- but it only worked because I solved the problem myself - your systems failed. Derek 250 317-5465

Location overall is a 5 star and my preferred location in Kelowna big time. Friendly service each time and well managed to always be nice to their customers! One truck I have gotten a few times now though must be taken care of finally and fixed as NO air conditioner in working condition and gets so muggy and hot in cab and the parking brake got engaged on own as I did not even touch it and was going off so loud for quite awhile. Plus the antenna has been bent for quite some time now. I have addressed all this but not being fixed by anyone at head office! How come? I had to say something finally, sorry.

I picked up the trailer and paid for 7days. When I brought it back I was accused of damaging it which I did not do. And I was charged for an additional day even tho I only used it for 4 days total. I was stolen from and I’m sad.

Twice when I booked the Van, I was told I could get a free month storage. This location told me they do not participate in that offer. So I paid the monthly charges. I got confirmation that the large disc lock I owned was perfectly fine to use on my locker; however when I went to open it, there was additional lock and a note saying that I needed to purchase the disc locks that Uhaul sells in their store. Why? It was a pain in the ass to get that 2nd lock removed that added more time onto my move. When I said above that the equipment wasn't clean, I was referring to my storage locker. It was infested with mice which ruined my two reclining chairs. They went to the garbage. The rental van was just fine. The staff at this site were exceptional. I did like their service.

Give a reasonable discount incase the customer overfills the gas tank.. As i did by more than 20.00 worth. Funny thing is i genuinely followed your recommended liter chart. Nothing for rebates or discounts or anything. Otherwise great in all other aspects!

I used a truck to haul top soil. The truck bed needed a brushing out afterwards. It was going to be a $25 cleaning fee unless I took a brush and went out and cleaned it. It took me 5 minutes. I would suggest lowering the cost of the cleaning fee- more people would choose it - and you would realize more profit. $25 is too much for a quick truck bed sweep.

When I booked my return destination I was provided with a location and phone number near the delivery site. When I called the site, using the phone number UHaul provided, I was told it was not a UHaul site. I tried the number twice. I then call then call centre and was provided this drop off site. The site was fine but I was directed by notice that I had to leave the padlock and key that I personally purchased in the drop box. Instead, I locked the dolly in the front of the truck. That appeared to be fine.

I used my locker for storing some work materials. I visited my locker almost daily and the place was poorly maintained. Sometimes the washroom was not cleaned and had no toilet paper for days on end.

I really like this location and much better than the awful Kel. Self Storage. My last truck rental though had no AC! Broken down somehow and the antenna was busted from some customer. Still, I do prefer this location and so should you! Rachel manages it so well! Next review: 5 stars I am sure!

My only criticism was that I and two other customers had to wait for 10 minutes before being helped because it was lunchtime and the single member of staff working was outside helping someone.

In hookup we noticed a wiring issue. Don instantly had his circuit tester and noted that the problem was in the trailers pigtail. Moments later we had a new one and working lights. You guys are great!

Local experience very good. Trying to get a hold of Main Office was unacceptable. I tried 12 times in a day and a half to request an extension however I was placed on hold each time and a few times cut off. I spent just under 2 hours on hold with no satisfaction.

Checking was great. Fast and courteous. Return was terrible, waited 40 minutes to return the truck. There was a point for 10 minutes when there were no employees at the counter and 6+ people waiting in line, very upset.

After booking a trailer hitch install in early May, U-haul first moved my install appointment by a week without telling me, then on TWO separate occasions, I came in to drop my vehicle off for the install only to be told the parts hadn't arrived. And apparently no one was able to make a phone call to tell me that on both occasions. I was told the location "didn't have a manager" at the time, which is why no one was able to call me ahead of time. Perhaps it's time about time to get a manager at this location. Finally, after the second botched appointment, I cancelled my install, because they couldn't tell me when they would actually get the parts in, and I needed it done that week. I went to another shop who was able to get the part in and install it within 15 hours. I was able to rent the actual trailer from U-Haul without an issue a few days later, and the equipment worked just fine, but then today when I dropped it back off, U-Haul informed me I owed an extra $25 on top of what I had already prepaid. When I asked what the extra charge was for, they couldn't give me an answer, and simply said I didn't need to pay it. Overall, the past month dealing with U-Haul has been completely miserable and no one who worked there appeared able to give me any concrete answers. While most of the staff were friendly enough, it was very obvious no one could actually tell me when my parts would come in, and they simply blamed head office or the computer system. It became almost comical if it wasn't so frustrating.

Truck needed to be swept out by the Uhaul personnel. A rear outer tire blew while in use. Roadside assistance called and after several hours it was towed back to Orchard Park Uhaul. Unfortunately this was not relayed to the Uhaul personnel.

The parking lot is very awkward and there's never-ending construction going on there. Customer service for pick-up was great though! Guy did an awesome job. I like that he knew exactly what he was doing.

Your centralized reservations and confirmation system is awful. At one point a UHaul rep called me to say that my storage unit would be released unless I went in to use it within 24-48 hours (I can’t recall which one) despite my reservation being almost two month away. I was transferred several times to various call -centers in the US to be told in the end that the system wouldn’t provide the info I was looking for. The day before my pick up, a UHaul rep from Vancouver changed my reservation pick up location without my consent. I experienced more stress dealing with discrepancies in information between staff that I would not recommend using UHaul truck rentals to friends unless they walk in for a same-day rental. Figure your shit out UHaul because your customer service is absolutely awful.

The truck's windshield seal was loose and flapping in the wind. They could not do a simple repair at the pick up location. They suggested I stop outside of town and have it repaired. I did not have time to do this, so I had to use some tape to keep it from flapping and hitting/distracting me while I drove. My time was especially limited because the car carrier assigned to me did not have straps long enough to secure the front wheels of my car to it. This was repaired, but put me behind on my 13 hour trip by 2 hours. Finally, since my departure was delayed due to truck issues as described above, the final 4 hours of my trip were in the dark. Not a problem except for the fact that the truck had no functioning dash lights or tail lights. Fortunately, my wife was able to drive our car behind us with the emergency flashers on. This was completely unacceptable.

Price misleading. $39.95 day plus mileage turned out to be $178 so more than we planned plus put fuel. But appreciated the truck use and worked for our needs. Should have read the small print!

Received the truck, used it to tow my trailer 71 km out of town at .70 per km which I was ok with, return same day, had a 4 hour window. Gave the truck to me with just over quarter tank, ????, noticed half way to my destination. Was not happy as I made it back to town with gas light on stating I had 15 miles before empty. Was very stressful as I thought I wouldnt make it back to town on the amount of fuel I was given. Received an email next morning stating they charged me over 350 dollars for returning empty, refueling charge, charged for not paying cash which I intended to do. Not happy. Almost set me up with a truck incapable of towing my trailer so I had to rent a moving truck. Young girl working was very unknowledgeable about the vehicles. Will not be returning there and will not be referring any friends family to that location. I may also dispute some charges they put on my CC.

Trailers are a bit heavy if your vehicle is a bit on the edge for towing but that is probably a good thing as they are unbreakable and easy to use

The fellow that helped us at the Kelowna location was very helpful. Originally when I booked online I booked West Kelowna as my pick up location. The trailer there broke so I had to drive 30 minutes to the other location for pick up. WHY DIDN’T UHAUL DELIVER A GOOD TRAILER TO WEST KELOWNA FOR ME TO PICK UP? I DON’T FEEL THAT WAS VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! YOUR PROBLEM SHOULD NOT BECOME A CUSTOMER’S PROBLEM. NOT IMPRESSED.

Get some staff. People before us waited 20+ minutes than left as nobody would speak with them. I waited over 20 minutes and only got someone to help after tracking down people that had continuously walked by without even acknowledging me and others that were waiting there. This place has been there for more than 2 years and has been the same from day one. NO IMPROVEMENT. Completely unacceptable in this day and age where service is the only thing that can get and maintain customers with.

Rachael gave me a vehicle that wasn't cleaned from the first day. Returning the vehicle she was very unpleasant to deal with. A very unhappy person and I hope she learns to have a smile and not be so miserable. Everyone has bad days but this attitude of hers seems to be consistent. When leaving the store she made a comment to her co-worker which was very unprofessional and was heard by me when leaving the location.

I reserved a trailer for Friday May 10th. I did not have a hitch so I made arrangements to have one installed at this location. After numerous calls speaking with agents in another country and getting extremely frustrated as different answers and quotes an appointment was made for Wednesday the 8Th to have hitch installed. I had my son take my truck to this location on the morning of the 8th and arrangements made for a coworker of his to pick him up after dropping off truck when he is told no the part won’t be in until Monday the 23Th. Come back then. Seriously????? Trailer reserved for the 8Th and moving this day. No part? Appointment made and changed. Seriously???? Not impressed

Still my preferred location but my truck did not get checked in again and had to call to check on that with worry again the next day. Could not get a 15 foot from central bookings as they short hand this location. Plus there was lots of glass all over the walk board that I cleared off. Had to rent a 20 foot and pay that extra cause no 15 available. I only moved a king size bed and bed frame so a 20 was super overkill.

Unfortunately this office was short staffed on a Sunday afternoon....a very busy day! The employees that were there were swamped. People in front of us waited over two hours in line. Ourselves, we waited over an hour. The employees apologized to each and every person and thanked us for our patience. Not their fault. Returning the truck took minutes. Very pleasant

Your online payment system sucks. I had to do payment 6 times to fix being overcharged. Got a truck on EMPTY AND HAD TO RETURN IT EMPTY because you don’t pay for overfilling. I drove 350 kms. What a headache. Your staff don’t know anything. There’s always a half hour or longer wait because of your system. Worst experience ever. I asked specifically for a truck 20’ or less in length for BC ferries. They gave me a 27’ truck! Whatever. Fuck you Uhaul.

Typically my best choice to rent at the Enterprise location and I rent lots and friendly but the door got all jammed so that was a hassle and issue but not this location's fault. The Uhaul just getting on in age. I did however clean the cab as was pretty dusty. But did not mind. I also did not receive an email saying checked in after I switched trucks and turned 2nd one in so that is a concern. They usually will send me a confirmation. I checked it in last night after closing time.
