Since I got there after they closed, it's difficult to give a review. I have one suggestion, and it comes from having used U-Haul many times before the advent of smart phones. It would have been better to get some forewarning about the online-drop-off process (that it takes 20 minutes, and that you'll need your phone all charged up at the end of a long trip). It went fine once I went back to the gas station to add more fuel to charge my phone while idling in the U-Haul truck... : )

The woman who helped me get checked out was extremely helpful and friendly. The pickup truck was clean and in good condition. One minor suggestion would be to always send out trucks with full fuel tanks so it's easier to know how much they need to be refilled (mine was about 5/8 full and I had to guess how much gas I used when refueling to get it back up to that level).

I showed up to U-Haul moving and storage off of Rainier to drop off my rental truck right around the time I was scheduled to drop it off at. I believe I was scheduled at 9:15 and I pulled into the lot at 9:20 after hitting a little bit of traffic. The return station lane was being impeded by two stalled U-Haul trucks so after waiting a while for them to move I pulled my truck into an open space in the lot. When I was walking to the front office a man in a not very welcoming tone asked me why I parked the truck where I did and then I pointed out that there were two trucks blocking the lane to return my truck. This whole process of explaining and parking took about ten minutes. After he did a brief inspection of the truck he told me I was done and I went on my way. I got back into my car and left the lot thinking that everything was fine. Later that day though I checked my bank account and I had a $60 charge on my account that wasn't my original account. Well it turns out that I was charged a late fee for pulling into a lot where I couldn't park my truck initially and getting dinged $60 for being 5 minutes late. When I called the store to try and talk to someone I was told a manager would call me and nobody ever did. I then called back later the night and was transferred to customer service and am now waiting to hear from a customer service representative in the next few days. I understand that there is a designated time to be back but being charged $60 for 5 minutes over the time that I was supposed to be there is infuriating. Not to mention the customer service from the beginning to the end was terrible. I have used U-Haul once or twice a year for the last 15 years but this experience may make it my last.

The lady who checked me out was rude. She also made a mistake and put my return date for not enough days. When I went back to get it changed all she did was email someone and say I would get an email with the new approved return date. I never received an email. So I spent about 40 min calling around to get the date changed. Also when I went to go return my uhaul, the place on my receipt did not have space for my uhaul so I was forced to drive to another location.

Before I picked up my van from the Rainier Valley location, I had a terrible ordeal with self-checkout at the 1st Ave, Seattle location. That was a horrible experience and hope that no one else has to go through that

The lady at the front counter (bigger blonde with glasses) was super rude. She didn't even walk me around the truck to check, she just handed me a clip board and told me what to do. The truck was under my significant other's name and reserved under his name, yet I had to pay for it since he wasn't there. She was so rude at explaining policy. Never using this uhaul again and making sure anyone in the south end of seattle never does either. I can't believe how poor your customer service is and how expensive this poor service ended up. Waste of money.

Give those guys some more help at that location. It's extremely busy and they do a good job but it's hard to manage and you just end up with unsatisfied customers.

What you need to do is simple. You have a virtual monopoly. Charge more, staff more. Otherwise someone will take your spot. Variable pricing for different geographies? It's too cheap, and the service reflects it. This is not a critism of the employees at my dental location...they are simply asked to do too much, with too little.

The young guy that helped me out was awesome! Very professional and calm during chaos . I've not had great experiences in the past and I dread the whole renting process. The young guy changed my opinion of the rainier office.

Pre-registration did not really reduce the pick up time, they still were not ready and we were at zero. But having a reservation did reduce the wait.

Crowded & slow. Understaffed for a weekend, when high-volumes are normal and predictable. Non-managerial staff lacked alertness, initiative, or much above basic motor skills. However, everyone was very polite, and it is a clean and attractive business.

When I first entered the parking park, I was greeted by an woman screaming at myself and other customers to not park in their lot. Apparently that is more efficient than posting signs telling customers to park on the street, or simply asking nicely to park elsewhere. Part of her unprofessional and condescending rant included "This is Seattle!" I'm not sure what she was getting at... lots of private businesses in Seattle either have customer parking or, in a non confrontational manner tell their customers where to park. Needless to say I would not recommend this location due to their unprofessional staff - what kind of a business screams at people attempting to enter their store to give them money? On a positive note, the manager of the store is very nice and the rental truck was great.

This was the most terrible experience I've ever had. Not only did we have a two hour visit because of TERRIBLE employees, our card was charged THREE TIMES. We ended up leaving in a heated argument with the lazy lot manager, we filed disputes with our credit card company & I will never use uhaul again. Terrible representation of the company.

My reservation was at 7am in a Saturday morning. I arrived just at 7am, and find two others waiting. The office wasn't yet open. More customers arrived. The office finally opened at 8:55 am. Only one agent was there to handle them at least 10-12 customers. When I returned the vehicle I was offered a $50 credit but barely an apology by the manager. An operation of this size should ensure there are at least 2-3 reliable people scheduled each weekend in case someone can't show up, clearly the case in this instance. There was one wonderful yard employee named earl, who called the manager but said he wasn't trained to check people out. Poor management all around. It really wrecked havoc with my moving schedule and plans of others.

The worst Uhaul experience and overall retail experience I have ever had. Only 1 person was working and turned out she was the GM. Took me an hour to checkin and to wait in line to find out my truck size was not ready. She didn't appologize or seem to even care. My movers were paid to wait around while this was such a pain.

Truck was filthy from the last renter - bugs on windshield, dust on dash, box unswept. Engine cover in cab not clamped down after engine in Seattle servicing according to roadside assistance at destination - 200 degree temperature poured into cab the entire 600 mile trip with NO return phone calls from U-Haul about the complaint logged 15 miles into trip - (1451387). Worthless customer service experience all the way around. I refuse to pay this bill awaiting a call from Milton Newman the 'manager'.

This location was very impressive. What's less impressive is two things; t 1. this survey; rating the location has nothing to do with my satisfaction with the rental experience, and 2. I didn't have a good pickup experience, but, for all my trouble, it's being made right and for that I'm appreciative. As brief as I can explain it, here's what happened... 1. Scheduled to pickup a 6x12 covered trailer in Woodinville, WA at 10:00a (15 min drive one way). 2. Got a text message at 7:45a the morning of the pickup that I would now be pickup up in Lake Stevens WA at 12:30p (45 min drive one way). 3. No trailer at Lake Stevens; customer late in returning. Bethany was very helpful and called around to find me a trailer, which she located on Rainier Ave. S. in Seattle (50 min drive from Lk. Stevens to Seattle). 4. Finally able to pick up trailer from the Rainier Ave. S. location (30 min drive to home). For my trouble I was provided the trailer for $100 plus a $50 rebate on top of that. This is fair compensation and I appreciate the team for making things as right as possible under the circumstances. Those I interacted with along the way were helpful and sympathetic and represented U-Haul well. I do understand that there is much out of your control, but your policies helped to make a rotten experience much less painful. The front desk was completely unorganized. Not only were no systems in place for moving the line efficiently, the literal place was a mess with papers, keys, you name it, everywhere. For example, they couldn't find the storage key for a customer next to us.

I feel like I've only gotten more dissatisfied which could have been completely avoided. I went to pick up the van. The lady confirmed I reserved a silly. I asked if everything was set and then when I go to my storage there was no silly. I called, I was told one of two managers would call me back. No one did. I decided to drive back then back again to my storage which took an extra 14 miles I believe plus extra in has I had to reimburse. So move was completed. I tried to call back twice the following day and again yesterday. First time the ladies computer crashed, the next I was to recieve a call from a manager within an hour, the last the person apologized for the previous person's telling me a call within an hour. Everytime I called the people were very polite. Maybe someone will call me today. It was very inconvieniant to have to go back. No one ever calls me back and I am just trying to have a manager call me back. I feel like someone should have called me back initially. People not following through with what they say they are going to do is not good in my opinion. Can't control that though. I don't think I'll use uhaul again if this isnt resolved.

The employees were great, but I lay the blame at the U-Haul system for my extremely frustrating experience. U-Haul: Don't change the pickup location and time at the last minute!!! The actual location was way out-of-the-way from the pickup location (and the time) I originally booked and U-Haul confirmed. And this last-minute change--the day before--in pickup location (several miles away) and time turned a previously previously smooth booking and scheduling process into a chaotic nightmare. It was only because of the wonderfully patient and diligent woman at the front desk who located a different truck within the time-frame we needed that we were finally able to leave the lot with a truck and within the time we originally requested.

This location was ok, but the entire experience was horrible. I ordered my trailer online for 8am pick up about 3 miles from my house. The night before I was notified I had to go to a location 7 miles away and could get the trailer at 5:30pm. I was leaving at noon, so that was unacceptable. They found a trailer about 10 miles away at 9:00am, but it took forever from the time I got there to get out. The trailer didn't have ramp and the door barely worked. Also, the express checkout I did online did not speed up anything. U-Haul was one of the worst experiences I ever had. Also, everyone at the store was having similarly bad experience due to online ordering.

I have to wait one hour to get my truck it was only one person dealing with the entire store, every single costumer was very upset, there was people fighting with the person in charge, the experience was horrible overall. It might help to hire a third person or a fourth because at 9:00 this morning eight people waiting in line. Even though the two workers were going as fast as possible, it took time to complete paper work and answering questions. There were several customers behind me who were really upset because they had movers waiting. My pickup time was 9:00am. I arrived at 9:01, but because of three people ahead of me, I did not get my rental until 9:28. However, as I said earlier, the two workers remained polite and worked as fast as possible.

I used the app to self check-in, but waited in line for 20 mins before one of the workers saw that I had a online check-in. Appreciated him pulling me out of line and giving me the key. Only recommendation would be to have an area for folks who check-in online.

I doubt it will ever make a difference, but in my life have I never seen a more sorry-ass operation than this location. There was one older white lady with tattoos that finally decided to get some stuff done and she was great. The rest of the workers were completely disinterested in doing any kind of work. There was a fat black chick that literally took 15min pushing flat boxes from one end of the store to the other, for no apparent reason. A guy was buying propane, or trying to, and she basically ignored, him, lack of interest, motivation, I don't know... guy almost freaked out. Us customers were laughing, and a lady said this is how it was every time she went there. Good lord, somebody check this place out and fix it!

I was wrongly charged for an additional fee for putting gas into a van I had returned with the correct amount of gas in it. No one has tried to return my call after I called to complain about this charge that suddenly showed up on my credit card. When I came in to rent the van, the location was short staffed and didn't do a walk around the vehicle with me because they had so many people waiting inside. No information was really given, especially about dropping off after hours. No security seemed to be on location where we left our car and we saw two people come out from a couple of the vans and ran off when we spotted them. Did not feel like a place we should have left our car. Wish I used the Renton location like I have in the past, I've never had any problems with them.

I also called the manager and corporate with no call backs. This company is a disaster, no one can help, just pass the buck.

The women behind the counter checking folks in are fantastic...one in particular whose name I do not know. She really gets customer service and understands being friendly and MOST importantly how to hustle. Next to the equipment being safe/functional - getting in and out of the office QUICKLY is probably the thing most customers renting this type of stuff cares about. SHE gets it. The gentleman working at this location - NOT SO MUCH!! She deserves a raise or bonus.

When I visited on Saturday morning, the store was staffed by only 2 people, despite this obviously being a busy time for such a business. I was fortunate to be at the front of the 12-15 person line, to pick up my U-box and a rental truck to tow it. Despite the fact that I had made the reservation a week in advance, and the store staff had clearly been aware of my reservation(they knew my name as soon as I told them I was there to pick up a U-box), the U-box had not even been put on a trailer when I arrived. This caused a 15 minute delay to not only me, but everyone else in line as well. Because they only had 2 people working, no one was available to help any other customers. The management at this location failed at every turn to provide a good experience for their customers. I will not use this location or recommend it to anyone.

Very frustrating and unprofessional! I had reserved a 26 feet size truck as I had a big moving day coming up. I called on the pick up day to make sure everything is all set and I was told I am good to go. However, when I got there , I was told the 26 feet truck is not available. What an awesome management Uhaul! I hope you are tracking my feedback so it can be addressed. Just because I was told only this facility has 26 feet , I drove 25 miles each way to get it and I didn't get it when I got there. The rest is sheer frustration as I had to manage with a smaller one which caused me to do double rounds of moving and disrupted my moving schedule upside down. Uhaul are you listening ? It was very slow because there was only one person available to help behind the counter and one to help with the actual equipment. The wait was long, despite having reserved the truck online, and the whole process confusing without proper guidance. The people were exceedingly nice, however, and helpful once you tracked them down/were able to speak with them.

After having checked in online for a pickup at 8:00, I arrived at this location at 7:45. At that time, there was a line of 5, and at least 5 more came after me while we waited. Unfortunately, the location was staffed with only 2 employees, and we were told they had to serve whoever shows up in order, which meant that all of us waited for 45 minutes while they moved pallets for another customer. When I attempted to see if I could get a truck from another location, I was told there were none. The employees there were doing their best, but should never had been put in the position that they were (given that reservations are made online).

Not specific to this site but it is difficult to return a vehicle when with a specific amount of fuel when it is not full. When I returned the vehicle I went inside to turn in my paper work to wait for 20 minutes to be told I need to submit it to the person out side who I walked past 20 minutes earlier, that watched me pull in. I was than instructed I needed to move the vehicle to a nother location to be processed while they proceeded to help the person that came in after me. The icing on the cake was they charged me a cleaning fee when I had just spent 30 minutes cleaning the vehicle. I took photos, bit fill enough of my time has been waisted by people that obviously don't care about return business

I came to return the van Sunday morning around 9:30am, waited by the van as the sign said for 1/2 hour, and nobody even acknowledged me. There was 1 employee walking around, but wouldn't even look my way, so I finally just left. I rented the Van at noon, on 6/9, had it back by 9:30 on 6/11, but they charged me for 3 days because according to the paperwork, the didn't check it in until 1:55pm on 6/11. It was parked directly in front of the door, so somebody would have had to move it well before then. Super bad service, and really annoying.

The reservation process over the phone was nice and easy. The checkout process in-store however was painfully slow. I rented an open trailer and purchased some boxes and packing material. My daughter and I were being helped by someone at the register but the computer system was having issues processing our transaction. Only after our order was deleted and readded several times did it process. Trailer was clean and functioned well.

I would like to request a refund of my rental. The inside of the trailer wreaked of a sour smell and there was dried mud all over the floor. I asked the employee why, and he indicated they sometimes have issues with homeless people getting inside. I had no choice but to take the trailer since there were no other trailers available, and I was committed to moving that day. The employees should be cleaning these between uses when they are returned in this fashion, or if homeless people are getting inside of them. It is unacceptable to be renting them out in this condition. I had to lay down a tarp so my furniture did not get dirty. The location seemed under staffed and very busy, and the employee that helped me was nice, but this was still not okay to be renting them in this condition. Can you please refund my rental?

The folks did not check the fuel when the truck was brought in and they marked it full. Had I not taken note of the fuel before I left I believe I would have incurred a much higher fuel charge. This should be done by the staff prior to check out...no relying on a guest. As an aside, some else checking back in as I was departing claimed the fuel was overcharged. This does not seem to be isolated to one incident.

The fuel charge is ridiculous; it wasn't explained to me and it isn't on their site either. The fuel level was lower than 1/4 and I told them, however, when I returned another employee checked the vehicle and charged me "fuel charge" because the fuel level was slightly lower than 1/4. I actually had bought 2.5 gallons and drove only 3.5 miles, and in my eyes, the fuel level was slightly lower than 1/4 but higher than when I rented the vehicle. I wanted to complain to the main desk but there was a long line and I was in hurry so I left.

PLEASE make sure the equipment is well maintained. It was clean for sure, but the wheels on the trailer were sketchy at best. Not sure the last time the wheel bearings were repacked, and the lug nuts and rims were pitted and rusty. Trailer blew a tire and nearly flipped, the roadside assistance guy said the tire was very old. Not too happy about being forced to use very old and dangerous equipment.

However, they said if I called the location, I would just be sent to customer service. Terrible. Went to location. They reversed the $100, but charged me for three gallons of gas. I drove a total of 9 miles, in a van which gets 18mpg. How could I possibly use 3 gallons of gas? Didn't seem worth arguing after the already terrible experience. Enjoy your $12.50.

Here's a quick story. I recently rented and returned a U-Haul truck after driving it 17 miles. Due to time constraints, I had to drop the truck off without refueling it. I rationalized this because I had been told that I would have to pay $4.25 per gallon, and since I only drove it 17 miles, I assumed that the truck would require around two gallons. Instead, they put in 5 gallons (~$20) and charged me the $30 refuel fee that was never communicated to me. Yes, I now see that there is a disclaimer printed on the back. But when I asked about the refuel fees to an employee, they only mentioned the $4.25 per gallon. So what can you do to improve for the next customer? I would recommend telling people about that fee, especially since you give customers trucks with 5/16ths of a tank and charge the fee if it's returned below 4/16ths.

This was an absolute DISASTER. Shayla was the worst person to deal with. How she is a GM, I HAVE NO IDEA. My problems are: 1.) she is terribly unresponsive. Promises to call back or follow up and does not. 2.) She did not follow up with my apartment complex like she said she would which led to me finding out the day before move in that they would not allow the Ubox. I ended up getting an exception but needed same day drop off and pick up which did not happen. 3.) The day of the move, I had a 2.5 hour window to have the Uhaul truck (I HAD TO RENT). My boxes were promised to be brought down first thing in the morning, so that I would be able to be at my complex by 12:30. I showed up at 9 AM, and the boxes are nowhere to be found. They LITERALLY cannot find my boxes. At noon they tell me it is at a different facility where I have to drive to. I do not get everything loaded until 1 PM leaving me 90 minutes to drive to Seattle and unload everything. Obviously this did not happen, and caused soooooo many more issues. 4.) In the end, no apologies, no follow, nothing. I spent $200 on Uboxes, $90 on delivery of them, $150 for a permit to park them, and $100 for a truck. I also had to drive 35 miles to where everything was stored. I would have had a $100 move, but elected to "make it easier" with Uboxes and got bones for $440 additional and extra time

So I called the Uhaul 1800 number and the customer service told yes they had a trail and reserved one for me. I truly hope this manager did not treat me like this because I was African American, but did fill like this. His excuse to the other sale associate that help me was I didn't know you had a reservation, the only problem with that response was that I didn't have one when I walk in the store. I only got one after he told me he had no trailers because they were ALL reserved. This is my neighborhood Uhaul that I been going to for a long time and this hurts to be treated this way. I was renting this trail to move something for a fundraiser I was doing for my churches Children Ministry. No one should have to good through this.

Our truck leaked and got all of our stuff wet. We called customer care and the girl on the phone said she would attach a note to our file. We get to the store to drop it off and there is no note, the employees answer was well that sucks file a claim. And to top it all off when we check the truck back in the employee tells us that someone sold us the wrong plan and it would have been cheaper to drop off the truck by our new house versus driving it back to that location. So a lot of our stuff is ruined and we are out $250 with awful customer service experience. We will never recommend uhaul to anyone.

This location had some positives and some negatives. A few things. I asked for a clean truck and newer, got a dirty cab truck that smelled a bit of cigarettes. Also, annoyed by the gas situation. The gas tank isn't full, you are suppose to guess how much to fill the tank to the level you were given it to. Seems to me that's just another way for the company to get more money. Also, bought a wardrobe box and the pole was not included with the box so the box was useless. To get refunded I was suppose to bring the box back. They would not give me a credit for the box. This annoys me.. We left the box at the old place because we couldn't use it and there was no room in the truck to put it. I wasn't about to go find the box to get my money back. Poor service, I should not have had to even have to return it, the pole (or metal rod) should have been there!

I respect that it was the one of the busiest times fo the month for Uhaul. However, my equipment I'd ordered and needed wasn't in the truck. And the young man ringing checking me in, was quite short. If I'd never rented from Uhaul before and remembered certain points like filling the gas back where it was I would have been overcharged for not knowing. He also made it his business to pull everyone's vehicle up for them to the door. Not ours. When I called to ask that the equipment be taken off my credit card. We found that he had not even placed an order for the dolly which was the most important need. I was also told by the person who answered that i should have looked in the back to check, which I get but without communication from my agent I didn't know I had to check up on them. I would still recommend Uhaul because I am truly grateful for your services. Overall I'd suggest he treat each customer with equal respect and slooooow down.

I had no problems. Then we loaded our musical equipment to come home. We latched the 5x8 trailer, and when we got home the trailer door was wide open. It was pad locked on the way there, but not on the way home. But it definitely was latched. We lost some things that are irreplaceable. This is really upsetting. The latch came undone from bumps or whatever... Not very happy with what happened, and I don't think there is anything you can do, cause the items lost are irreplaceable, except the White luggage that was pretty brand new. It had a statue and some ceramic skulls. The statue was a one of a kind. Gone.. FYI....

My total amount was NOT adjusted to account for actual mileage used and I was overcharged. I would like the charge to reflect the actual mileage I drove and not the liberal estimate I gave at rental. On check in there was no consultation from the staff to clarify how many miles were driven and what the gas level was, and I received no new paperwork to show the actual amounts. Only a verbal guarantee that this in fact would be done and that I should trust that it would be. Would like a final itemized bill from your company.

When I arrived at my schedules pickup time, the poor guy working there seemed very unprepared and overwhelemed. There were 6 people waiting in line 30mins before the location was supposed to close. The guy was really nice, but it seemed the place wasn't prepped. I asked for help on straps and dollies, but the guy was too distracted to help, so I ended up buying two straps I didn't need. Also, there was trash and boxes in the cab of the truck. Otherwise the truck ran perfectly.

Jordan De Sousa helped me get ready for the road by assisting in adjusting the mirrors on the truck which were difficult for me to do on my own. This was a welcome change in management and customer service from the previous team at the same location. I have got to say, that it was the best experience with UHaul in the many years I have rented vehicles. My experience with U-Haul was incredibly frustrating. I felt like no one really knew what they were talking about. I felt like during my move, which was already stressful, that I had to keep calling U-Haul. My U-Haul box was 4 hours late after I had called multiple times to check the scheduled time. My U-Haul box was 3 days late arriving after they had "lost" my box. It seemed like I talked to 6 different staff members about helping me with my refund which none of them could assist me with or give me any information. I think the main issue here is that the staff feels very undertrained.

When we picked up our boxes, the employee who helped us was very nice. However, he did not ask to see my ID when I picked up my boxes so anyone could have claimed to be me and walk away with all my belongings. When we first went to get the boxes in July, they were severely understaffed and we had to wait almost an hour even though we had an appointment. I listened to an employee yell at a customer on the phone and say she would hang up on him unless he changed his attitude. Very unprofessional. When we picked up the boxes to unpack, our helper was very nice and knew what he was doing. I wish the money could have been pro-rated for this month's charge for storing the boxes. I paid $150 for a week which is ridiculous. I should only be paying for the time I'm storing the boxes.

My reservation was for the location further south on Martin Luther King Dr S. They didn't have my truck, told me that online reservations didn't count, and were extremely rude and unhelpful. I blindly went into this location, while they were very nice and accommodating they weren't able to rent a truck, so I had to use a cargo van which didn't quite work for my purposes. They did their best to accommodate me, but unfortunately UHaul let me down on an already stressful moving day.

The dolly and furniture pads I requested were not in the truck which was a huge inconvenience, and then when I returned the truck I told the staff and they said the charges would be removed from the bill--and they were not. I emailed the given email immediately on Sunday and have not heard back, and then today (Monday) I called the location and the staff member said "i'll let the manager know and have them call you". I was charged for two blankets. I didn't even touch the pack of blankets that were in the back of the truck. When I called to try to have the charge removed, my call wasn't returned. Have used UHaul a lot and never had this problem before.

When I showed up there was only one employee (someone called in sick or was late?). She apologized for the short staffing and hustled as best she could to serve all the customers. She was very polite, friendly and her hard work made sure everyone waiting had their trucks as quickly as possible. Very happy with the service. Wish I knew her name to include in this survey.

I filled-up gasoline at location 76 @ 6056 Martin Luther King S, Seattle, WA with receipt @4:35pm on 10/15/2016 when I dropped-off an equipment # TM4450T. I took pictures as my proof and I checked-in at 4:55pm on 10/15/2016. She said "all set and it's all good to go" then turn around, she charged on my bank account for additional bank charge $46.71 for fuel ?!? I look forward to receiving my refund in amounts $46.71. When we arrived to pick up the trailer, there was no one in sight and no one at the front desk. A few minutes later a couple of guys who may have been out in the trailer yard or in the maintenance building did come out. But, at first it seemed no one was there. Also, I could not tell who was a U-Haul employee and who was a customer (or just someone off the street) at first. Usually an employee will be a little less casual and will try to make eye contact/smile or say I'll be with you in a moment. But this did not happen at first. I did see nametags when I got closer which made me feel safer. And, these guys need to be more solution oriented. For example, instead of saying that trailer is too big for your car, it would be better to suggest finding a size that will work and assure me that that is possible. I had to bring those possibilities up without knowing what trailer sizes are available. It was a bit uncomfortable because of that.

This was so peculiar. It went unnoticed by everyone I guess until we had the van here at the shop to pick up furniture and found that someone had spilled very intensely perfumed liquid detergent or shampoo in the back of the van. Alot of it!! This meant I had to have two workers spend a half hour pulling out the floor mat and hosing it off and wiping off the side step up stair with a big sponge and a bucket. A major drag and it in fact cost me $60 in worker pay!!! So bizarre, but on a deadline so had to just deal with it and go.

This was not original pick up location. Reservation totally screwed up. Never notified of pickup time. Wrong trailer substituted by Uhaul without asking me. Sunday hours for traffic people delayed resolving problem. Reservation made month in advance. No excuse.Your central support processes totally screwed up. I will do everything in my power to disparage Uhaul as often as I can, whereverI can, as long as Iive. Your survey does not ask right questions. Your call centers are totally f***** up.

Staff was overwhelmed and couldn't answer our questions because they were so busy. Maybe staff more people for the beginning of each month on each shift so that we can get better customer service. I also had to keep the truck for longer than 4 hours, and when I called in to extend my reservation hours, I was on hold for over 5 minutes. I never spoke to anyone before I hung up the phone.

The truck was damaged in a way that could not be seen by me when I picked it up. The truck leaked water from the roof on to more than half of my boxes. I had to store my boxes damp because of this! The pickup location must have known and did not warn me. They claimed the truck was in good condition. I'm sure they wanted me to figure it out and blame damage on my use of the truck. Sneaky way of taking care of a damage claim. I will never use this Seattle U-Haul location again. I will be sure to share my negative experience with everyone who mentions U-Haul.

Check tires on trailers before renting. Mine had a nail and a busted sidewall (that truthfully got past me) which later caused a 3 he. Delay to get a new tire in Grants Pass. U Haul there was great as was 35th Ave Seattle U Haul where we got lights hooked up. They were awesome!

I had a difficult time with the ratings on this location because some employees were very helpful and some were unnecessarily rude and uninviting. I had an older gentleman cut in front of me in line. This actually worked better because the person helping him was incredibly slow and the guy helping me was fantastic and fast! When it is moving day, you already have enough stress, picking up a rental should not be one of them. I was in my rental before the guy who cut on me was and ready to go, except that his truck was now parked in front of mine. He was visually inspecting the vehicle in the way of others while the employee was in the building sitting. I requested the gentleman to move the truck, but he wouldn't, so I went inside and requested from the staff who was helping him to move it and he refused saying the guy would be done shortly and remained sitting. He was rude and I was disgusted by his lazy nature. He was also sitting when I arrived while the other staff worked. The female staff working on Saturday overheard the conversation and so kindly moved the truck out of the way for me. I couldn't thank her enough, since she also had to apologize for interrupting someone else's transaction to help me. Laziness during a time when many people would love a job is sad and I am not sure why this guy has a job, and especially why he has a job in customer service. Other than him, my transaction was flawless.

We accidently left bungie cords in the van. We called and the woman who answered the phone said they had found them and would leave them at the front desk for us to pick-up the next morning. But, no one seem to know where they were - we still have not gotten our cords back. Not very good customer service.

we were suppose to pick up at another location, which ended up being closed on Sundays, we did not receive an email or phone call about this. We are from out of town. So when we called we were directed to .pick up at another location which was in the opposite direction of where we were headed and took us two additional hours, traffic etc. Made us late for our next destination and meeting another party to pick up our items. My husband noticed that the wheel was loose when we were towing so he stopped to tighten it, he always carries tools and we were traveling 300 miles to our next location.

I reserved a truck from 8am-12pm. I arrived at 8am and stood in a line with ~8 other customers for almost 30 minutes. There were 3 employees helping customers get the equipment they'd reserved 2 of the staff members seemed very helpful from what I could observed. The third staff member who assisted me didn't seem to helpful or focused on customer service. Once I finally got my truck and asked about the adjustment in the rental time since 30 mins of my reservation was used on waiting in line, the staff member was not helpful or tactful in his reply. That cause dissatisfaction with my experience. When I returned the truck one of the other staff members assisted me and was much more professional and focused on customer service.

First, there was nowhere to park my car during the rental duration. It was apparent most customers were having the same concern as there were sporadically parked cars across the lot, causing confusion and traffic. I asked the rep if I could park on the lot while I rented the van. He answered no and walked away. The van interior was extremely dirty (the rocks and dirt on the van floor caused damage to several pieces of furniture that we moved. Additionally, the van had below 1/4 tank of gas to start. Upon return, I refilled the tank with the prescribed amount (3 gallons for 49 miles). When I got my final receipt I was charged an additional $37 as a fuel fill up fee.

I was charged $25.00 for a cleaning fee that truck can was so dirty I wouldn't let my dog ride in it. I took the truck to the gas station and filled it up until it clicked off and press the lever again it was full. However I was charged for an 1/8 tank of gas maybe your needle is inaccurate. I had to drop the truck of at a tavern and nobody would even look at it. Very unprofessional so no wont be using uhaul every again. Complete rip-off!

Just a number here, rushed me right out of there. In Lincoln NE they told me I had six days and that's what my contract said, in Seattle they told me I got there just in time. I asked what they meant, they said I only had four days.After 1700 miles of travelling I didn't need that crap. From now on I'll use another company, I've used U-Haul many times but never again.

On arrival it was unclear how to proceed. Lines were long inside, and then a staff member outside unhitched the trailer and kept promising we would get paperwork - we did, by email, later on that day.

I would like to commend one of your employees at this location,..She is a Hispanic woman,..i did not get her name but it might have been "Sana or Santa? (sp)",..she was very helpful for someone who has never used or driven a trailer before. She is very good at customer service. The office was VERY busy but she made sure each customer was helped in such a way that it felt like I was the only customer there.

Have some basic info on safe use of the vehicle provided to the customer. For example, in the 9 ft. cargo vans, using the blindspot portion of the mirror before changing lanes and the fact that the rear view mirror shows a video of what is behind the vehicle.

The manager behind the counter was trying hard, but was injured and couldn't go out on the lot. Pickup of my rental van went fine, but returning was a mess. I did like the vehicle though.

My problem is with the people that schedule the u haul. I was told 3 different locations and 3 different times. I wasn't sure if I was going to get a trailer until it was hooked up to my car. Absolutely the most frustrating experience ever. I thought I had reserved online but that means nothing! Rainier avenue people were very nice and accommodating
