I recently rented a truck from the Uhaul on Bustleton ave, Philadelphia,  PA and the experience left me very upset. We rented the truck on 7/1 and returned it the same day just before closing. I was asked to park the truck and when I returned to the door it was closed. the people inside gestures towards the hole in the door and I threw the key in there and left.  When we checked up on our bank statements we noticed that we got charged $100 more than the original amount and knew that it couldn't be right. We checked our miles and it still didn't add up. We went back to the uhaul and explained the situation.  It turns out the truck was only returned online 3 days after we actually brought it back. We were told the manager himself checked it in. So we got charged for 3 days instead of 1. The lady helping us was very helpful and called the manager. She printed out our statement and made the necessary notes on it and left it on his desk. we were told that the manager will call us the next day when he comes in   We never received a call from anyone so 2 days later we decide to call them. I spoke to who I believe is the manager and he was not very friendly. After explaining the situation to him he insisted that they sent us an email with the receipt and that it's our own fault for not following up immediately. He did not apologize in any way for overcharging us. After telling him multiple times that the email isn't the issue, us getting overcharged for their error is, he was still insisting that it's our own fault for not responding sooner.  Mohammed Mohiuddin told me that he'll refund the money but next time we have to respond sooner, as if all of this is our fault. This is clearly a mistake that they made. They didn't return the truck online for 3 days and then decided to charge us for their lack of responsibility.  I found the manager to be rude, arrogant and not willing to help or accept responsibility for his faults in any way. Because of this incident we will not be using uhaul again as they seem untrustworthy and not willing to help.  Another concern to me is that my key wasnt the only one that got returned that day. There was multiple other keys laying on the ground too. How many of them only got returned online 3 days later too? I am very unhappy and upset by this incident and a friendlier manager at this location would've made me feel better about the situation; but instead it left me feeling disgusted in the customer service

I signed up to check in by phone but it didn't work. I tried both the website and the app and it didn't say I even had an order. I even showed the uhaul people and they couldn't get it to work as well. This was also the case when I tried to return the unit.

I made a reservation to pick up a car dolly at 6;45pm. I showed up at 6;55pm and was told I couldn't take the car dolly because they were closing. Two days later I made another appointment for 6:45pm. A representative called me a couple hours prior and asked if I could come in at 6-6:15pm. I told them I couldn't but I would send my brother if that would help. They told me that was fine. My brother arrived at 6pm and began the paperwork. I arrived at 6;35pm and upon my arrival an employee yelled "Oh no! we're not starting the paperwork all over again! You gotta go with your brothers name on the paperwork!" At this point I hadn't even said "hello" to anyone. I told her "Thanks for your help but I didn't come here to get yelled at by strangers" She replied "Oh you'll know when I yell at you". The beautiful part was this woman wasn't even involved in signing the car dolly over to us, just loud mouthed and obnoxious by nature. The next day I arrived at 7:05pm. Uhaul was closed. I returned the dolly the following morning at 8am. I was charged a full extra day for the next morning return. When I returned the dolly, I was told I could've left the dolly in the parking lot after hours. I informed them that no one let me know that. I received a shoulder shrug as a response. The entire experience was marred by apathetic, unprofessional and disrespectful employees.

The general manager was the person who took care of me. He ended up charging me twice for the initial hold they put on your debit/credit card when you pick up the vehicle. Stating that the system timed out on his end, whereas on my end the system went through the whole process. He didn’t listen to me when I told him that it processed twice..then it was a fight on my end to try and get the hold reverse. I mean that unacceptable. And as a GM you should be well verse on how to rectify a situation like that should it occur. Not stating “that I will give you a call later once cc services open because they’re on Pacific time”, but who am I? Just a customer who will never come back to the Roosevelt Blvd location in Philadelphia again.

Y’all can certainly improve your customer service and how your talk to customers y’all can also improve listening to the customer complaints and problems or when the customer bring something to your attention y’all could take it in consideration and address the matter correctly also yucca improve the outlook on the vehicles when your rent the vehicles out and making sure everything matches up with the contract is a lot of things yuck improve but I would never use you again thank you for your time have a great day

Started with a full tank of gas used the truck for nine miles, returned with a full tank of gas and was told it was a half a tank and charged $17.00 for gas. Ridiculous!

Customer service is key to the experience. Treating customers with attitude and not presenting manners or acting like customers are not important destroy the experience. Assuming that customers know the products and services offered is wrong. Just because one person is under pressure or hates their job does. Not mean they have to be rude to customers. They associate that serviced me was probably having a bad day but i dont have tu put up with that. Another associate provided me with useful info and very profesional when i inquired for information after i was done with the service requested, even the the vehicle receiver was kind.

Tell your workers not to make customers stand there and wait until they’ve finished their text messages and turned off their rap music. Literally stood there for 2 mins and watched her type out a long text message with her even longer nails. I’d maybe smile more and actually make eye contact and not sound like you want to kill everyone.

We were over charged for an auto transport I was quoted 54.95 plus 8. for insurance using it for 4 hrs and when my son got there trailer had to be fixed and the cost was 207.00 of which we received only a deposit back. To me this is bait and switch and price gouging. I will not rent from them again. We were using our own truck. This charge was only for the trailer.

The floor of the box was not swept. The sides were covered in graffiti. Had to come to this location at the last second after being misled about being able to pick up a truck from a closer location online. This delayed our plan by an hour just to get a truck. Customer service at the Roosevelt location was very efficient. Customer service via phone was not efficient, spent at least 30 minutes on hold with them.

This location made a mistake forgetting to charge us for something from a previous rental which was clearly their negligence but they would not let us have the current rental until we paid what they forgot I thought if the company forgot something it is not the customers fault the company should count that as their lost that was not good business in my opinion

U-Haul screwed me up this time, i was scheduled for 8:30 am and they decided to change the time to 1:30 pm without letting me know. from 1:30 am to 2:30 am Customer service couldn't solve the issue from 7:00 am to 8:00 am Customer service couldn't solve the issue and gave me pickup instead of 15 foot more time more money for mileage, stayed for 2 days in June in my apartment will be deducted from my deposit. Worst experience ever.

I set up with someone on the phone the day before to do online pickup and when I got there to pickup the reservation kept coming up expired on my account on the website, I had to wait almost an hour for the location to open for someone to help me which was a huge inconvenience and the whole reason I setup online pickup.

Person behind the counter who helped me was more interested in his phone then helping me out, started to take my info then went back to his cell phone, when asked are you waiting for something to pop up on the screen he said hold on a moment? reserved the trailer week in advance to make sure i would not have an issue, still had an issue and then to drive 7 hours just to deal with this is not acceptable. Then on top of that, my deal fell through so I took the trailer for no more then an hour and brought it back stating my deal fell through and I did not need the trailer anymore and I was charged a day charge. If you need to know the Contract No please let me know and I will send this to you.

I returned the truck with $10.00 more gas in it and I added 5 more miles to the 30 miles that was included. I was expecting that to at least even out, but they charge me for the extra miles and disregard the extra fuel that was there. I think this is not fair as it's really hard to manage the exact quantity of the fuel for the trip, not every one is a truck expert. I think adding more money to the vehicle should be considered. It's not a big deal but definitely something could be improved. This is not the location's fault it's the company policy that's why I gave a good rate to the location.

The manager there is pretty obnoxious and needs some customer service training. The employee that put on our trailer did not do it correctly and it nearly fell off, thankfully I had the chains connected. This location doesn’t allow you to completely use the mobile check in process so even after completing the mobile check in online, the manager makes you redo everything inside which is a waste of time.

Access hours are so unconvient for someone who works 9-5 Monday through Friday and has to fight traffic just to make it before closing and even when I make it 20-15 minutes before staff precloses door
