I have already submitted my comment. As I previously stated, customer service skills course/webinar for employees would be beneficial for staff member there. Young employee named Armand was rude and used unprofessional language and attitude during our conversation. His demeanor was poor, I was a customer requiring service not a buddy of his. Advertise MORE to let people know about your location and great selection. Try expanding your internet exposure. I rented a pickup truck and had a heck of a time finding one in the Oakville, ON. area. My experience was great but I found out about this location and its selection only after checking with 4-5 other vehicle rental places. They all knew about you but the average customer doesn't. The name U-Haul is well known but specific vehicle locations vary. Perhaps you can have a central repository listing on your website. The customer enters their location and type of vehicle needed and you can direct them to where one is available, with location address, phone number, perhaps rates, etc. Overall, my experience was great - once I FOUND you!GREG T.
It was fine. Compared to my past UHaul rentals, things were relatively smooth and the pickup was pretty fast and easy. But like any UHaul experience it was still kind of a pain in the butt. The mobile pick up didn't work so I still had to go in and speak to a customer service rep. The truck was missing a ramp and the mirrors didn't turn properly and some other lights on the dashboard didn't work properly. But the truck drove fine and it fit my stuff so I guess thats good enough to me. Staff were also not very friendly.TRACEY B.
I booked my moving to be one way from Oakville to Hamilton .. end up you changed my booking to pick-up from Mississauga and return it back , which i end up paying more than 200 dollars . So unhappy with the service!AHMED M.
My trailer had a hole in the ceiling which was concealed with a plastic bag tucked into it. When a rain storm happened overnight, my mattress in that corner ONLY got wet. There was a piece of cardboard on the floor in that corner as well. They claim they were unaware. I don't believe a word.Kimberly K.

Rude stuff. The customer service stuff worker spoke with the smoking cigarette in her mouth. They charge me for 48 hours but I had trailer only 24 hours. They did not want to give me my trolley and other equipment which I paid for it. Very poor quality of service, incompetent rude stuff.Pawel S.
I was told less then 24 hours before my rental that my 26foot truck in Oakville was in an accident and that I could only be offered one 15 foot truck and there was no other rentals available. I placed dolly, they did not keep the dolly in the truck. I picked after hours, customer care did not pick my call even after waiting for 1hr. The location associate told me I did not placed dolly, but they trying to charge me $7 for dolly. And extra $15 for fuel. Very worst location.john S.

The entire experience was awful. The equipment I had first reserved, (closed trailer) was not there when I showed up. Instead I was given an open trailer which posed major issues with what I had to transport. Then when I took the trailer home, it immediately started to rattle and shake up and down on the hitch. We had tightened it several times but still banged whenever we drove. I ended up not using it at all due to safety concerns - which I called customer service about and they said they would take care of it on my bill. When I returned the trailer and told them again of the issue - the girl working had no idea what to do, said her manager wasn't in but would out a hold on the account until they called me. No call after 4 days and of course they billed me for the usage. I have now called twice and left messages with the manager to no avail. Clearly they don't care and I highly doubt this review will do much, but at least I can tell others of the poor service here.AARONJ J.

I was not given the rate I was told I would be getting, I had to wait a day and pick my car tow up from a different location, which was further away. I was advised I would be give a 2 day credit, but did not see the credit. Traveling home from Toronto Canada to Nashville Tn. I was give a (in town moving truck, vs a cross country moving truck) the trucks radio, didn't work, it was not maintained. As the weather has been very poor in Nashville, all of my furniture, boxes, moving pads a wet because the truck leaks very bad. Very very poorly maintained. I've been using UHAUL for over 25 years, this is the absolute worst experience I've ever had.Robert F.
My pickup time which was booked months ago was set for 8:30 am. At 7:04pm the night before I was sent a confirmation e-mail which stated the pickup was now 9:30 am. For a moving date that was set up months in advance and planned around an 8:30 pickup time this greatly affected our day and schedule for move in. This is unacceptable and I plan to never use u-haul again after a change like this. Even a courtesy phone call with the information of this change would have been helpful but an e-mail after the locations close time with a change of an hour is unacceptableâ€¦CHRISTIANPARKER D.

Please include the refuelling guide in the digital contract sent to people using mobile check-in (or somewhere on the website OR on the vehicle key). Very handy feature for ensuring returning fuel is at same level as at start, but not available if you check vehicle out using mobile device.BORIS N.

I had to reschedule my pick up date and no one told me the location had changed for pick up. As a result I went to the mavis location to pick up my truck, stood in line only to be told I needed to drive across town to Royal Windsor dr. This burned 1 hour of my alloted 8 and not a single person mentioned that or tried to make it right. All in all: piss poor customer service on the part of UHAUL.WILLIAM P.

The customer service was horrible, when asked questions the guy was very rude and told me to read the contract. What customer service is this? If I don't know the answer you guys are suppose to explain it to me instead of saying read the paper. It's like if I told him to web md is symptom when he comes to my practice. People just are lazy and don't care about customer service. All you guys are good at is enjoying your ice cap and annoying customers thanks buddy for being professional, maybe you should not work in customer service. This disgusting behaviour is unacceptable. I rented a 26 foot truck weeks befor. The day befor I was told all I could be given was a 10 foot truck, in mississauga that needed to be back by 4pm. I was given 50 dollars off but that does not cover what I had to pay extra in gas and kilometres, as I had to make multiple trips. Doesn't do anything to address the stress caused by trying to make an impossible 4 pm deadline, and having to make multiple trips through the city in traffic. Good service. Vehicle was ready for pick up exactly on time. The odometer reading and gas gauge level were not accurately recorded on my contract when I picked up the vehicle. The mobile app would not let me correct that info, so I had to go back inside the office, where the general manager updated the information on the computer system. Drop off was easy--We drove the van into the drop off line and waited in the van. A UHaul employee came to our van and checked the odometer and gas gauge. The credit card was charged by that employee while we were still outside. You don't have to check out on the app. All we had to do was go inside to get the receipt. Friendly and helpful service. I have never used a storage facility before but based on: 1. Location (Winston Churchill and Royal Windsor; 2. The security of the facility; 3. Heated facility; 4. Cleanliness 5. My credit card was charged for an entire extra month for two storage units, despite having moved out. I am now having to spend hours going back and forth with head office by phone, email and chat to get my refund. This location *never* picks up their phone, the call always bounces to the main customer service line. Moving in was smooth, moving out has been an absolute pain.
