Nothing was in stock, but I still got charged for the blankets and appliance dolly. The attendant was also not helpful. He was watching videos on his phone and really could not be bothered to help the customers in the store. There were two other employees there, but no one was helping the young man with the phone with the 2-3 customers in queue at the desk. I know they are all busy getting various things done, but it felt like customers were the last priority of the people in there.Sean D.

Of all the Uhaul locations I've been to, this one was under par. Trailer was clean but old, unmarked damage on the fenders, door was janky it kept getting stuck behind the opening. I was late to my pickup appointment and got a call, I told the gal I was running late but I've already pre-paid, she was rude and said it's messing up their schedule. Only reason I chose this location was because Rio Rancho didn't have the trailer. They are exceptional at the other location, will avoid this location when possible.Ryan R.

The truck was great! However, the customer service at this location was severely lacking. I reserved a truck, an appliance dolly, and 12 blankets a week in advance. When I came to pick up the truck, I was not given any indication that the dolly and blankets were out of stock and had not been loaded into my truck prior to pickup. I went to my moving site, found my equipment missing, returned to the branch, and asked why I didn't have the equipment I reserved. The desk representative was short with me and said there was nothing they could do as they had no dollies or blankets available, even though I saw an entire stack floor to ceiling of blankets. She said I would have to buy those, couldn't rent them. I asked if any other branch had the equipment I reserved, and she was again short with me and said she would have no idea what other locations have. I asked her to please call and check for me. After all this and being an hour late now for my move, I decided to forgo the blankets and dolly after all because I was in a hurry. The desk rep said my equipment would be deducted from my total when I return the truck. The next day when I returned the truck, I reminded another representative that I needed the dolly and blankets deducted from my total. She said she'd run into the office and make that change and then email a receipt, and I was free to go. When I received my receipt it did not deduct either item. I called again and got the first desk rep who was again short with me. She tried to give me $15 rather than the $20 back for the equipment I rented, and then finally complied. I asked for a confirmation email and she said it was impossible for her to do. From start to end she was short and snippy with me and unhelpful in many respects. This location is one of the largest in town, but I've heard others state similar unpleasant experiences with the customer service here. In the future I will go out of my way to another branch to avoid this happening again.Caleb F.

Truck: driver door would not shut completely without slamming it, multiple times I had to pull over and slam it shut to stop air flow and stable latch. The night time drop box was very difficult to find, it's obvious once it is found based on the window sticker, the sticker blends into all the other literature on the store front, also not illuminated very well. The staff was excellent on both the check out and return follow up the morning after I returned the truck. The auto check in system did not work for me. Uhaul.com could not recognize we phone location. I spent 10 minutes and my sister 10 more making sure the settings were correct. I called the customer service line and they estimated a 59 minute wait time. Sorry, I'm not waiting that long in an unfamiliar place at night. Mostly, it was a great rental, but the obstacles during night return were pretty difficult.John T.

I like the service. The staff were friendly and efficient. Location was clean and they answered all our questions. The only issue I had was there was a lock on the trailer without a key. We ended up going back to the location and they had to destroy the key because it wasn't theirs. It would be best if they check everything before they send us away to avoid delays. Windshield had lots of dead bugs and I had to stop and squeege clean the outside of the window. Inside had paw prints on door handles and inside window was dirty from possible wet pet nose, had to clean that as well. inside of cabin smelled like cigarette smoke The people here are great, but these things were unfortunate.Judith L.

Communication. We received An email the day before pickup stating our pickup pickup time had changed to noon versus 9 am as we'd requested. Give enough notice and explanation as to why change had to happen.Jordan B.
There were young adults who had no customer service skills or even the ability to effectively communicate. Pick up took 45 minutes due to lack of communication and being completely unorganized. Drop off was better the man helping with that was amazing. Please get your teen workers training to be able to effectively communicate to customers. Although resolved, when returning vehicle I was charged an additional day after only having the truck for five hours. Explanation was the charge was the result of not returning it by my guesstimate. A day is twenty-four hours the last I checked. In the future I will estimate my return time as twenty four hours later.John C.

Horrible experience that could have been resolved with clear signage, attentive employees, and a general care of the service you provide. We were charged for an item we never received despite contesting the payment online, had a nightmare getting in after hours (zero after hours support despite providing a number), and an absolute rude checkout experience. I’m genuinely sad we chose this location for our storage and hope that maybe they were just experiencing a bad day or maybe this was a breakdown due to the pandemic / lack of qualified staff. As a customer I got a key card to access my unit. Worthless. Every time I arrived, my card wouldn't work. Worse, the access panel would say welcome! You have access! Then I would wave my arms at the motion sensor door like an idiot. It wouldn't open. I had to go stand in line at the front desk. Finally someone would be available: "Oh, sorry, we have to unlock the building." What?!? Why isn't it already unlocked? Maybe this was just one day, they forgot. No. EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you're "sorry", FIX IT. STOP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE EVERY DAY. Unlock the building so your customers can actually use their access cards!!! Never coming back. Absolutely never. On at least three occasions my payment was screwed up with no apology. I recently called to update my credit card for auto-pay, the associate over the phone indicated the computer system was a little delayed but the change would updated once the computer system was up and running. Fortunately, two months after not receiving the confirmation I was told I would be receiving, I decided to call to see if the payment was ever processed. The first call, I was informed that everything went through and my payment had been processed successfully. My most recent inquiry, I was told my CC had been declined. When I asked what CC was on file,the associate informed me that if a CC is declined, that information is deleted. The associate made it seem like I was at fault. My question: How do I know it wasn't a data entry error committed by Uhaul personnel? Because, I supplied that same CC information during the original call which been successfully processed on 2nd call. When I asked these questions, the associate (Patricia) was steadfast that is was my fault. The frustration in her voice was very apparent when she rudely announced, Well, I don't know what happened before but your card was declined! I did inform her that this was the same card I had used previously when I was told it was processed successfully. Now I'm being told something completely different. Rude Patricia said well I can send you the confirmation to your email. Please do, but I am still confused about what happened. Her rude response: Well, you can speak to the manager. I replied, that would be great. Well, I'll have him call you. And then she abrutly hangs up the phone. I have yet received that call from the manager or the email confirmation for the most recent payment. Based upon the history, I would be surprised if I get call in the future stating my account is in the arrears or worst yet, my belongings were auction due to non-payment.Derwin M. | First Impressions
