The place was understaffed. It took 90 minutes for me to drop off a trailer. They were supposed to have our U-Box container ready for us. We let Uhaul corporate know we were going to be in to pick it up 10 hours before arriving. We were told it would not be a problem. When we arrived we were told it wouldn't be ready until 1200 the next day (the original pickup time). When we mentioned we contacted uhaul to make a change, we were flippantly told changes were the discretion of the local supplier and not uhaul corporate (the toll free number we called). They wouldn't consider working with us (they seemed sort staffed and short tempered). When we arrived to pick up the UBox, it needed to be loaded with a forklift because the trailer lift was damaged. We were asked to return by 1700, as the forklift driver needed to leave at that time. At 3pm, I arrived. No forklift drive and no one to assist with the drop off. I backed up the trailer to drop it off and waited for the forklift driver to arrive from off site. After waiting for 20 minutes, I decided to check the trailer lift. I was able to get it to work without an issue. I was able to unhook the trailer, block the wheel without any issues (But I have trailer experience). The people available when I dropped off the U box were cordial enough. But there only seem to be two people working on the entire facility. It was busy. If I didn't have the expertise to get the job done myself, I may have been waiting for hours.CHRISTOPHER M.

Be better organized. I got a new debit card soon before leaving for Antarctica. Before leaving, I updated this card with u-haul and used it to pay for the ubox, which I shipped from CA. While I was gone (and without internet), u-haul tried to pull the rent from the outdated card rather than the new one I have and told them to use. Luckily my parents were alerted of this error from u-haul and helped to resolve their mistake as they were threatening to get rid of my stuff and charge all sorts of late fees. This is an unacceptable error and I don't feel like I can ever trust u-haul again with shipping my possessions.EMILY M.

They as always were great. I was suppose to drop off at Pioneer Auto but as I asked to go to Skyland Blvd when I did the reservation I was told it could not be found on the computer. Pioneer was closed even though it was to be open on Monday. I called Uhaul and I had it transferred to Skyland Blvd and as always they were outstanding and took the rental back which was easy, they were professional and it was well done.Ronald A.

Both people who helped me at the desk (in the morning and on the return in the afternoon) were very rude and not pleasant to the customer. It was not just with me. They need to have people skills. The entire time we had the unit, the door was severely damaged that we needed a pry bar to open it. We were promise the door would be replaced but never was. I asked for a discount rate on the unit but my request never was acted on. So with that said my experience was a disaster. U-Haul employee hooked up trailer and checked tail lights. I was told everything was in good order and ready to go. After driving over 10 miles to destination I checked hitch and discovered hitch was never tightened at all. Trailer could have easily popped off hitch!! Also after dark I realized trailer had no tail lights so I had to drive 50 miles with 4-way flashers on. Both of these issues were supposedly verified by a U-Haul employee. PC system was down so I could not pick up my rental, they took my number and said they would call when it came back up. Two hours later no call, I called the reservation number and found out the system had been up for a while. I go to the store and its a ghost town. They never called to tell me the system was up. Then it took WAY!! Too LONG to get my rental done. To top it off they rented me a trailer that was not there!!! So i had to go back in and get the rental agreement changed. Broke two of my vehicles. First one caused my muffler to break off, Second one didn't fit the back of the car back together and had to go back. Turns out they broke one of the pieces and I will have to purchase it from a dealership. The whole process of getting a trailer hitch installed should not be this difficult. They gave me a discount on the trailer, but I was charged more than anticipated for the second trailer hitch attempt. Spent over $500 for my cars to be destroyed. I was pissed.Amanda H.

My only complaint is that we were charged when it was supposed to be free for a month. After I brought this to the staffs attention it was reimbursed. However, we were locked out of our unit for nonpayment. The problem was corrected by the manager. This complaint is being posted so you know if you have a problem just talk to the staff. I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the treatment and lack of customer service by your staff at the Skyland location. The employee was snippy and very short with me throughout my checkin process and was extremely bothered that she had to show me and my son how to get to the available units so we could see which unit to rent. We had to trample through a repair garage with tools, boxes, fans and crap all over as well as a car the repair guy was working on. It wasn’t until the very end of the process, when I was paying for the unit, I had asked for her name, which she hesitated in answering that she decided to be nice. I am in the customer service business and I would never treat a customer the way she treated me and this transaction.
