Overall, my experience with uhaul was positive. The employees that dropped off and picked up the boxes were friendly and polite. But the real heroes are Jeff and Emma at the Augusta, GA. Store where I picked up my uboxes. They went above and beyond the call of duty. They were so helpful and kind. I had some issues trying to swap out balls on my hitch and they took the time to help me get it done and make sure I was all set before sending me on my way with a smile and a wave. I rent from here often because it is a large site and they typically have the truck size I need; however, they rarely have other reserved equipment, such as dollies, blankets, etc. This rental, the truck did not shift well (almost 5 before shifting), the AC did not work (it was 99 degrees on Saturday), and the truck cab was dirty.PENNY K.

We always get an excellent service from this location. The staff are all nice and always ready to help out. They make us feel welcome all the time. But as we always say there's always room for improvement. I can tell that they have new employees and in the process of of learning the ropes. I say give them more time to be shadowed by a more senior staff so they can build confidence faster and learn properly. We almost left the office with an incomplete reservation. The people that work there are fantastic, the manager has done a fine job and the way she handles people and how she taught her crew to work together. And I really love those 9 foot vans that are new as they drive wonderfully. The staff there are accommodating. Employees are not trained right. Called to reserve a pickup truck WITH a debit card and was told that it was indeed possible. I get there and I get told different information than on the phone, was told that I can't rent a pickup with a debit, only credit. All Employees there should be on the same page so that this doesn't happen again. Also while there since I couldn't get a pickup I got a 10" truck and while the lady was taking down my info I noticed she spelled my name wrong. I told her about 4x that my name was spelled incorrectly and she never even changed it.adaleis G.

Your technology, particularly your online reservation system, does not rise to the dignity of pathetic. The truck that I rent, while well â€“ maintained, was probably the worst truck I ever have driven. It essentially had no shock absorbers, and the act of turning the key was an ordeal. Apparently this is a GM issue. While I rate the staff at this location as excellent, I read the company itself as extremely poor. I would not, in good conscience, recommend U-Haul to a friend.DON J.

There was not enough workers to take care of people. Lines were ridiculously long. The app took forever to work but at some point when we asked a question to a worker he tried sending us back into the crazy line. Luckily we spoke to the GM and she said if we can get the app to work it's fine. After an hour we finally were able to get the truck but they wouldn't let us leave with out confirming the truck number but the app doesn't show it passed a certain point. So we couldn't do anything. We were sent back to the line but luckily caught the GM who helped us. Usually it's a quick experince renting a U-Haul but this was insane. It took longer than an hour for a transactian that should have been 20minutes or lessconrad T.
I asked for the U Box to stay in Denver as my son would pick it up. The Denver office probably called me 5 times asking where the box should be delivered. My son had talked to them and said he was coming to pick it up. yet, they kept calling me. Communication at the Denver office was terrible.WILLIAM D.

The girl that so called helped me at the counter she was fast and did everything right. But when we went outside to hook the trailer up so walked away and was talking on her cell phone for 25 minutes then came and didn't hook the trailer up right so I had to get another worker to hook it up right. Then she was told more then 10 times to take a picture and I was hot and mad 40 minutes to get a trailer hooked up to my truck. Like really employees shouldn't be allowed to be on there cell phones and make customers wait just because they decide they want to talk on there phonesAMANDA V.

The location is clearly understaffed. It was difficult to get someone on the phone. I talked with corporate several times instead of people in Aurora. My movers (Aplanet Movers) made four attempts to pick up my box from this location. On the date originally scheduled, they were turned away because the U-box people had left for the day. The next day they made three attempts, but were turned away due to a computer glitch. My U-box was delivered two days late.Wendy H.

Yes get more help I was charged a 188.00 on my card this morning I took all my stuff out of storage on aug 14th well before aug 22nd the girl at the desk said that everything was fine. Rental pick up was delayed by three hours due to broken tail lights in trailer. Attendant try to convince me that it was my vehicle's trailer hitch electrical system or fuse. It turned out that the problem was with the trailer's electrical system. So I had my son bring down his car and my hitch did not fit on his car so the attendant made me buy a new trailer hitch which cost me $60 which was not necessary when we hooked up my sons car to the trailer the problem persisted and revealed that the issue was not my car it was the trailer's electrical system. The personnel responsible for helping me hook up the trailer disappeared for an hour so I attempted to do it myself and then an attendant from behind the desk had to come out and help me and when the personnel who was originally responsible returned from lunch, ignored me when they saw me trying to do it myself and walked right on by without offering to help. I would say that a few of the personnel at this location are not doing their jobs properly and customer satisfaction is not a priority. I will not be renting from U-Haul again in the near future and will not be recommending U-Haul to other people. This is the second time that this is happened to me in a week I tried to rent last weekend the same problem happened the electrical system in the trailer was bad they tried to convince me it was my car but at least the attendant last week hooked me up to another electrical system and found out that it was the trailer and not my electrical system in my vehicle. The attendant at this location yesterday did not do that and cost me 3 hours And then told me that I still had to have the trailer back by the original appointment return time. It took several minutes to convince them that because it was no fault of my own that the return should be extended by three hours. If I could give you a negative -5 stars I wouldMICHAEL C.
Train your workers on products and the importance of customer service. Workers need to focus on one customer at a time and not try to take care of several customers and forget what they are doing and even walking off from a customer to help a pizza delivery driver deliver a pizza that made the customer wait and to then be told they couldn't help me. Workers at physical locations should be cross trained on traffic processes so that they know how to handle bundle orders ect. The wait was long due to lack of workers knowing their job.Denise W.
I thought the staff at this location with whom I dealt with were patient and professional from the time I picked up the truck until I returned it later in the day. They knew their job quite well. They thoroughly explain the U-Haul Contract to you and highlight those areas of special importance before you take the vehicle. The staff there seems to stay quite busy with whatever the task at hand may be. Even so, they still try to do their best to maintain their utmost composure. It certainly cannot be an easy job. I rented the storage unit in April and couldn't get my stuff out because I couldn't see. I've contacted U-Haul through email stating that it would be fixed soon and wasn't. I left for FL in June and came back in August and still the light didn't work. The only answer I get since April is we know and working on it. The building housing my storage unit was clean and well maintained, however the restroom no so much. When you are moving in, or out of a storage unit depending on the size of the unit, or how much time you spend there, at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. I was typically in and out of there quickly, but the couple of times that I did need to use the restroom it was below standards in my opinion. Was it the most disgusting restroom that I have ever seen, no it wasn't, but it needs more thorough cleaning, and more frequent attention, especially given that it isn't a public restroom, so not just anybody has access to it. The only other problem that I had was that I moved into the unit in late May 2021 with the promo of 'One month free'. Before I completed my first paid, and first free month I received a notice of an increase on my rent. One of the reasons given was to ensure facility upkeep and cleanliness! This is the same facility that doesn't keep the restrooms clean! Bad move. First of all I just moved in and you are already increasing my rent! On top of that you say it's to help keep the facility clean, and I don't even want to use the restroom because it's just not clean enough??!! That's a hard pass for me. I immediately gave notice to move out. The general manager said that she doesn't decide when the rent is going to be increased, which is probably true, but software is a thing. They should have a program that can flag the move in date of each unit, and send an increase based on when you moved in, not just the same random date for everybody!! It leaves a bad taste when you just moved in!! At the end of the day, I found a facility that is much closer to my home, super clean, and at a price that I can live with! Having said all of that, the staff was always friendly, though the wait could be long sometimes even with just a couple of customers in ahead of you. We were dealing with an unexpeted situation that day, so finding a place that has truck rentals, AND storage facilities was awsome! We had previously decided to use a storage facility in Lone Tree, (which is VERY CLEAN) and closer to were we live, but having been given a unit in your newer building across the street which is also clean, AND brightly lit, we just decided to take advantage of the convenience of what you offer. Now when you are moving it takes time, so at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. That is where you guys fell down a little bit. While it wasn't throw-up inducing disgusting, it could have used some attention. There was dried #2 residue in the toilet bowl. The fact that it was dry, and would not even flush away after a couple of us used the facility indicates that it was probably left there from much earlier in the day (or maybe even from a previous day), and is really not acceptable. The bathroon should probably be checked AT LEAST once an hour, and the employees should be required to bring the proper cleaning materials with them EVERY SINGLE time, so that they can address whatever problem they encounter. They aren't going to use their hands to clean a dang somewhat public toilet, which is obviously understood. That's why they need to bring a toilet brush with them (or maybe even leave one in the bathroom) because NO ONE is going to steal a nasty toilet brush. Cleaning the toilet regularly will also cut down on stinky bathroom odors. We got hungry at a certain point and ran to grab some food to bring back to the facility (we ate it on the curb outside), so we needed to wash our hands. Dealing with the bathroom right before eating was frankly, GROSS! Other than the bathroom, I was quite happy with the experience. The access door to the facility was not working right any of the three times that I've been to the facility, including moving in. My access card would not open the door. The staff said the door hadn't been working right because people had been propping it open.
