We were supposed to pick up our truck on July 25th around 9pm at Old Statesville Rd, we were there early around 8:40 pm and waited until 9 to start the pick up process, but the app won't let us pick up the truck so We called the customer service, no one answered!!!! Waited for 30 minutes then we decided to go home, still tying to call customer service then they answered when we are already arrived home and told us to go back to the location which is 15 minutes away from our house. We called again they finally answered after 9minutes they transfered us to a different department because they told us that it's past 9pm already, we waited for 40 minutes to an hour for our transferred call to be answered!!! Imagine waiting at nighy beside the road around 11 pm!!! Then the person who answered our call this time is a lot nicer compared to our first calls, but she told us to transfer to another location because there's no truck key available! With all the waiting time we spent there where useless!!! When we drove to the new location which is st 3001 Boxmeer Dr there's truck available but won't let us pick it up because they told us that they are not accepting international license!!!! Even it shows in their system that they do accept, I even abled to make a reservation with it, even called before reserving to check if international drivers license is accepted! And the guy whe messaged us dropped the conversation with out knowing all the troubles we went through just to pick up the truck that we reserved weeks ahead!!!! It's 12:30 in the midnight that time!!!! I am so disappointed with U-haul customer service!!! They are so useless!!! We were only able to pick up the truck the next morning because the guy who's working there, I think it was Bobby helped us through out, the only human who cared enough to really help us out and he even apologized for the TROUBLESSSSS we went through last night!!! I am very very very disappointed in U-haul. They brought us So much stress and frustration on our move!!!!Reinhart C.

When I picked up the trunk they made a change to the original assignment. That caused all the tracking information and the app never updated with the new truck. So all the info gas level, mileage, pictures of the truck were wrong. I tried to get it corrected and was told to just take my own pictures and handle it upon the return. Luckily the guy at the drop off agreed to use my information. But it could have caused issues since non of it was in their system.PHILLIP P.

Update your computers. Rental agent apologized for the delay in completing my contract. Said system was slow and he had to start over twice, asking me for the same information like phone number and destination. I reserved a furniture dolly but none was available on pickup day, so I had to purchase one at Northern Tool. Agent was cordial and informative, but the delay was aggravating because I had someone waiting at my home to help.MARK V.

The QA process is clearly lacking. The truck pulled about 30 degrees to the right. So badly, my dads arm was sore from driving. There was also no windshield wiper fluid. Also not sure why uhaul lets us pick our preferred location, when it didn't end up being where we were getting our truck or trailer.RACHEL H.

I called the 800 number and let them know I had dropped off the trailer. They told me if I don't receive a receipt in 24 hours to call. I didn't receive the receipt, but didn't want to have another hour long wait, but because of you inability to hire more people to care for your customers, I am now on another hour long wait.FREDERICK T.

I reserved a unit online, to reserve it you had to leave a deposit and I did. The day of moving in after packing a 27 foot truck, they had no information regarding my reservation. Thank God I took a picture of my reservation with my cell phone and it was saved in my phone. I provided them with my name and they pretended they didn't see the information. I provided them with the reservation number and now they were able to see the information. I was told, they did not have the unit I reserved. Therefore, they said they would provide me with a unit that equal up to what I reserved. I was completely satisfied until I attempted to move in the unit and the size did not equal to the size I was promised. So we had to take the items back home because the office was closed and the size did not fit my items. I rented the truck for 1 day therefore, I had to return the truck the next morning. We all know moving is a nightmare. I had night terrors with Uhaul. I called 1-800-go-uhaul and spoke with customer service and provided them with my experience and asked for the CEO's information, the representative asked me to call the location before I contact. After reading the information from Uhaul, asking me to try to resolve any disputes before leaving a feedback. I called and on hold for 25 minutes. I can't.Patricia G. | First Impressions

The truck had over 106,000 miles on it. It was very old and did not drive well. It was very jerky and uncomfortable to drive. A truck with less miles should have been given to us for this long-haul rental of over 400 miles.DARYLE C.

Keep the reservation at the location you make it at. Your system switched my reservation one hour after it began. I showed up at N Tryonâ€¦.after waiting 35 minutes in line with next to no staff, I finally was told that my reservation moved. It wasn't even in my in box.Andrew H.

Reserved a truck online. Didn't go as smooth as I had hoped. Had to wait for an operator to text me back who said she couldn't get in touch with my reference. My reference was with me , his phone never rang. After going back and forth for several minutes, she finally called him and asked â€œare you Keon, he said yes, she says ok bye â€œ and hung up. After final approval rcvd a message that said go inside, skip the line and pick up your keys. Well that didn't happen. I still had to wait in line another 20 minutes or so to get my keys. I was told the cargo van was on full and it wasn't. The link asked me to take a pic of the mileage and the gas. I loaded it but I still got charged extra for both. It was a quart of a tank. Also I didn't know the van only had one windshield wiper blade. I didn't know until it started raining hard and the metal part of the windshield wiper was scraping the window. I also had to find a closer uhaul place which I had to wait there until somebody came to put the wiper blades on.JEKNEIKA I.

The only issue I had during the entire U-Haul experience was the day before when I learned that my preferred location had changed to a city over 50 miles away. My storage unit was filled with cockroaches and water bugs upon leaving. I moved in on April 24th, 2021 and moved out on June 15th 2021. My items were not even in storage for a full 60 days. We alerted the property due to the infestation. Now I am worried about having brought bugs into my new home and needing extermination services. Unfortunately, my experience was the worst. I had two different purposes to be there and both times were horrible. The staff do no care about Customer Service each time they attempted to charge me extra for something. The customer care line says they will inform the manager and to expect a call no one ever does. Its like they think resolving the problem with out confirmation is ok. In my time I communicated my actions for my move out date on the 17th. I still received a bill so I called CC told them I had moved as I had called the main line 3x already with on answer and still was charged w late fee. It was simple and fast to RENT. UHaul took and accepted my money VERY quickly. I am at the convenient Drop off location and have been sent now 3 places for over 1.5 hours. UHaul does NOT want to take back the trailer before they close. I can NOT do any of this next day work say and have many things to do. supposedly had 24 hr access but we couldn't get into our unit. All of the doors were locked even tho my card worked. You need more than one person working the desk on weekends. It’s very expensive to rent a storage unit, and I feel as if the storage unit is not used an entire month there should be a pay differential. As customers we have to go back and make sure we did damage anything as well as clean it before returning the storage unit or truck. For example the unit I had was $104 a month with taxes, I turned my unit in maybe a week and a half earlier and just from doing my math if you all offered a pay differential I should had received at the most $40 back which like most people it could really be used. The GM at the location even gave me false information saying he could give me a price differential as well as the wrong instructions to check out the storage unit.Alexis D. | Overall Experience
