Worker was rude and unhelpful. Worker did not properly chain trailer up and I had to correct him. This could cause other motorists to be unsafe or possibly get a ticket. The trailer ratchet straps were threaded through wrong and were not inspected prior to renting/ last rental.

It was my first time using a Uhaul trailer, and the service I received from Cody and DJ was wonderful. From the first phone call I made to them about renting a trailer they were very knowledgeable and told me exactly what I needed. I appreciate the teamwork and I will definitely be using the Uhaul services again.

Refund a pending transaction when the bill is paid in full. You still owe me money. I will not only not recommend, I am about to review every site available. People should know you keep money for weeks. You made me use MY card instead of the one on file you could have charged. What is the point in booking online????? Never again.

Read the returning mileage correctly because it is a big hassle to get the correct amount refunded. Have truck assigned in a location that is ready for pick-up.

Make sure you listen closely to the mileage granted for the rental of one way trips. They map the most direct route from pickup point to facility. A person needs to factor in their mileage to and from their moving points too.

Truck performed well. The driver sun visor was broken and would not stay up. I talked to the man when I checked the truck in about it. It was broken when I picked up the truck.

Poor communication. Showed us storage we believed was smaller size when it was the more expensive size. When we signed the paperwork we were told it wasn’t what we thought and we would have to climb stairs to use the one we wanted. And the door to the building we were shown did not stay open, was difficult to get open and we were given the wrong code. Will not be back.

I was told the vehicle had a full tank of a gas which it did not. Regardless I filled up to avoid a fee. That is nickel and dime bull shit and if your running a reputable company you present yourself correctly. The check engine lights where lit up from the beginning. Luckily for me I only needed it for a quick 8 mile round trip furniture pick up. If I had to move Long range I question the maintenance of vehicles.

The people working were rude instead of them explaining that you don't offer the 4x8 trailer other then for 1ways. The sales rep just took it upon hisself to upgrade me and charge my card for the next size up then when I questioned the total Sales rep said that the 4x8 was for 1 way. I think this should of been explained and clear before just putting charges on my card then he had the nerve to have a attitude.

Everything on the beginning part of the move went fairly smooth. Couple issues with dates of when I wanted things to arrive and be picked up but was agreeable. The problem came on the receiving end! 1st problem is I was never notified that the pods arrived at the Stevenson Dr. location. When I called on the day they should be delivered the 1st representative I spoke to was impatient and said I would be called when they where checked in! 9pm that night all the locations now closed I called again, was told that they were supposed to be at Stevenson Dr. by now, this time the representative sent message to the manager at that location for information. Next day nothing so I called them and the manager said he would have to get back to me. He said they were there and someone would contact me to deliver. The delivery was 2 days later on a Tuesday. The pickup was set for that Saturday. When Saturday arrived the people who were picking up the pods called to confirm that I changed the pickup to a couple weeks later, which I did not do. They picked the pods up that day as originally scheduled. Then I noticed my charge card had 2 charges for an extra month storage on the pods, which was put to my card the Friday before the pickup. I notified the manager via email, received nothing. The credit card company sent me information but said to watch if the company refunds the amount. Now it is 2 months later and I now have the charges back on my charge card. Besides the fact that I was owed money because pods did not arrive on time to begin with. Not happy at all with the process. When things cannot be dropped of or picked up when want then the customer should not be penalized.

While the service was fine, the attendants were not wearing face covering. Not only are they required in Springfield IL, it s just a slap in the face for your people to not be wearing them. It tells the customer that they simply do not care. Every customer in the place had on a mask and not one of the UHaul associates had one on. Simply unacceptable in this day and age. Especially since the President had reported COVID only the day before.

The manager is so very friendly and willing to help no matter what. Moving anything from one point to another is always stressful, but the calm and helpful demeanor of the manager at this Uhaul location was above and beyond. Kudos to the HR folks who chose this stand up man to head their Stevenson Ave. store!

Entire system was down so checking in and checking out was not possible via my cell phone. Upon return, the rep said they would change the rate from .59 to .49 due to the inconvenience. Although the difference was a small amount of $1.40 (14 miles), the receipt did not reflect any kind of discount.

Storage unit hot and damp, bugs,customers filth left behind in areas , security doors many times in the past would not close, truck went out on me last year at a ATM machine in bad neighbor all I wasn't charged for the last few blocks I was away from the U-Haul I was stranded there for over a hour blocking other customers those just a few my complaints I'm hopefully in a better apartment that I will not have to move any time so.

The only problem I encountered was trying to rent a dolly. They needed a DL and all I have is an ID. Turns out my moving friend showed up with a dolly and it became a non-issue.
