One Tail light and 2 running lights were not working, other than that the 5' x 8' Cargo trailer was great! I prefer to drive trailers with all the lights working for better safety. Next time I will check them myself before leaving the rental location... if not working, I will insist that they fix the lights before I leave. Thank You

First was the gas experience. The gas gauge was different than they said at the counter. I drove 57 miles and put 8 gallons in before returning on a smaller UHaul truck. They charged me an extra $10 for not enough gas. There is no way the truck gets 7 miles to the gallon based on what I hauled in it. Secondly I returned $25 of unused boxes and asked for credit. After 20 minutes the agent couldn't figure out how to credit the contact. So I have to return on Monday to talk to the manager to get the credit resolved.

The location I wouldn't recommend is the one off of the service road @ Dallas Parkway in Plano. I had rented 2 trucks with excellent service and then tried to rent a cargo van to haul my plants to my new home and was denied service because I had a paper driver license. After already returning a 26' and a 15' truck with no problem...??? Horrible service from this all black staff...I felt discriminated against and will file a complaint with HUD regarding this matter!

My only complaint was in having to go 10+ miles further each way to pick up & drop off the truck than to the facility closer to me where I wanted to do that. Why should I have to pay for an extra 20+ miles rather than U-Haul moving the truck to where I needed it or at least not charging me for those 20+ miles. To his credit, the employee who helped me didn't charge me for the appliance dolly I reserved to try & make up some of the difference, which I appreciated.

To start, I was not greeted until 5 minutes of me walking into the retail area. The cashier didn’t listen to basically anything thing I mentioned such as return time and etc. Lastly, I was sure note on the initial receipt of checkout that starting mileage was wrong and the representive Cindy herself initialed next to it...... however, I was still charged for the incorrect starting mileage. This was by far the worst experience ever with a moving truck. It’s made worst because moving it not a pleasurable moment for everyone. Sincerely, A very unsatisfed customer.

The location moved slow, charged me for fuel when I returned the vehicle at the fuel level I received it on, and the location does NOT answer the phone. I tried to call MULTIPLE times to get this issue resolved and when I finally did speak to someone, they answered and placed me on hold immediately and never came back to the phone.

I reserved an appliance dolly on-line. My only issue is that it took a long time to pick it up. I probably waited at least 15 minutes. It was a very busy Labor Day weekend. Turn-in was easy.

Highway construction, not helping any. When you look up your company.(nearest you) it gives location on Coit and Plano Rd, when you're actually closer to us. In any case a good experience as always. This the 3rd time I use you. Reliable is the word, that comes to mind. Hope you all filled up today. Gas shortage!!!

Their computer system wasn't working and they asked me to read aloud my credit card and drivers license info multiple times. I had already filled out that information online. It felt uncomfortable reading that information aloud where other customers could easily hear. I understand that the system can go down, but having to read it aloud multiple times is a privacy concern.

When you say you are going to check the equipment in, check it in. Thank goodness I had a feeling and double checked a couple days after I dropped a trailer, a dolly, and a half dozen equipment pads off because not a single one of them had been checked in by the staff. I realize I came in a little before closing, and I could understand if they had been checked in the next day at the start of business. But two days later they still had not and there was zero indication that they ever would be checked in without my intervention is unacceptable. You don't leave unchecked in equipment on your lot. The lady who remedied the situation was helpful though and from her reaction the fact they had not been checked in by her coworkers frustrated her as well. The storage facility is great though, and unloading and move in was a breeze. As a minor aside, the water fountains inside the storage area do not work. Not a huge deal but I was happy to see them in the 110 degree heat and then quickly sad again when I found out they didn't work.

I do appreciate the assistant manager's help. He was very kind and understanding. The other guy,not so much. He spoke to me as if I was a child and a liar. He wore reflective shades while speaking to me. Very unprofessional. If they are worn for medical reasons,my apologies. But he was still unpleasant to speak with.

I've rented the same size trailer probably 10 to 15 times. The trailer I rented was one of the best maintained. It was very smooth to pull. I wish all your equipment was a well maintained as this trailer.

I arrived to return my equipment and realized I came 30 minutes before the location opened for business. Instead of making me come back, an associate still greeted me and processed my return. As always, extraordinary customer service. I highly recommend this location to anyone and everyone.

I got charged in a manner that has left me unsatisfied. Even though my original intention was 6 hours, I specifically asked how long I can keep the truck since in was worried about rain. I was told I could keep it 24 hours. Then next day I still returned it before 24 hours but was charged 2 days. This was very unsatisfying.. and the guy at the checkout made me feel as if i am asking too much when I asked explanation. Lastly if I don't get a response or clarification... i would assume uhaul has so much business that they don't care about a few unsatisfied customers

I used a motorcycle trailer to haul a smoker because I needed a low trailer with a ramp. The lady when I made the reservation couldn't understand and wasn't sure if she could rent the trailer because I wasn't hauling a motorcycle. The supervisor stepped in and worked it all out.

Staff was friendly at the side. I did receive a truck with a broken power steering line. The truck was also having problems with the transmission from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gears. I felt unsafe in it and I could have been injured or killed if the power steering gave out. I will be calling the 800 number to give further details.

More information about drop off location. The rep said if I find a closer uhaul to return the equipment I can call but he never told me there will be a fee for changing location. Wasn't happy with that. And I didn't have enough option to select for drop off.

It was way over priced. I was charged $113 and I literally moved my stuff from a 75093 zip code to 75093 zip code. Yup the same zip code and it still cost me $113. The truck alone was advertised for $19.99. How did I get to $113?

So I picked up the trailer, had an issue with the lights. Returned and it was fixed promptly but I had to return costing me time and money. I was told I could drop anywhere , and when I went to drop the trailer at my local uhaul. They wouldn't take it because it was full, the corporate of uhaul made a change to my required destination with out calling or telling me. Or so I was told by the uhaul rep. I had to hook up to the trailer and take it across the city to drop it off. Again costing me time and money, I'm a frequent flyer here at uhaul. Get it together UHAUL. When I checked out, the odometer reading on my paperwork was 116725.9. The actual odometer reading was 116788. I asked the employee who gave me the keys to verify this, then we went inside, and I told the cashier. He told me that he fixed this and gave me a credit for my inconvenience. I didn't double check again because I assumed that of course he had fixed it. Turns out, I was wrong about that. I ended up being way overcharged for all that extra mileage which I hadn't even used. How can they not fix the mileage when customers point out that it is wrong? When I called to ask about it the first time, they told me the extra charge (a second charge) was just because of the hold and would fall off. When it didn't fall off, I called again, and this time the person I spoke to said she would submit an escalation and I would hear from someone within 72 hours. I never heard from anyone. This isn't the first time my odometer reading was incorrect at u-haul, but who would have thought that they wouldn't correct it when I pointed it out? My advice is to go somewhere else.

Both Vernon Sutherland and Miguel Romero and their employees exemplified superb customer service with a professional personal aspect. There were a few U-Hauls that were closer but, because of the quality of service and rental options the location of 1501 Dallas Parkway, Plano, TX 78093 was and will be the preferred choice of resource for moving needs.

My reservation was supposed to be at 4, but I needed the truck sooner and came in around 1:45. Amber was assisting a couple when I walked in and I overheard her saying "she's off at 2". By that time I got to the counter it was a few minutes till 2. Amber was amazing!!! Normally when your a customer dealing with someone that is soon to be off...you can tell. Not with her. She was extremely kind, patient and kept a smile during the entire transaction. I even apologized to her for coming in so early and she was about to get off. But not once did I ever feel rushed. The customer service Amber provided me was by far one of the best!! Keep it up Amber!! I will definitely come back to this locat

I lost the key to the van. I was told to call roadside assistance. I did that and after being on hold for 15 minutes I was hung up on. This happened four times. How can you have road side assistance never answer the phone and then hang up on people when the only reason to be calling it is the customer is in trouble! The store personnel finally got me a key. They were extremely helpful and caring. Corporate roadside assistance is horrible.

A kiosk or some type of rapid check in like with rental cars (Hertz Gold, National Emerald Island, Avis Preferred) would be a huge improvement.

I even mentioned to the staff during the walk around that I couldnt tell where scratches/dents were due to the dirty condition of the van. Have the sales assistant check out the vehicle with the customer. The paper work in Dallas showed just under 3/4 tank of gas. After we left the facility we noticed it was just over 1/2 tank. When we checked the vehicle in Denver the assistant checked 1/2 tank when it was just over 1/2 tank. It cost us extra. Instead of thinking all went well and cost $1250.00 (including gas) for the trip, we will remember getting charged extra at the end of the trip.

I originally reserved a 26' Truck from Print Parcel and Ship. To be picked up at 9am on the 11th. Reservation number 25640871. Upon arriving I was told I'd have to wait until the employee arrived to take me to the truck. Which was a mile down the road at a storage facility. Meanwhile I had reserved and even done the pre check in to save time as it said on your website. Ultimately the employee arrived and I followed him to pick up the truck. He said hop in, your truck is back this way. I got in the vehicle with him and we drove to the back, where he said "oh man, not sure what to tell ya, it's supposed to be here" he then called his boss and she gave me a story about how the previous owners failed to return the truck on time. (Not my problem) The employee said that I would be receiving some major refunds from Uhaul. At that point, I had a job to do, was paying help by the hour and had to find another truck spur of the moment. The next nearest was at George Bush and the Tollway. Which is quite a ways from Lebanon and 423. Ultimately got another uhaul, and started work about an hour and a half late. But after we were done moving everything where it needed to go, instead of a buddy taking me down the street 10 minutes to drop off the truck, I had to drive it 15 miles south to the pick up location because if I would have wanted to drop at the original location, it would have cost almost $100 more. I thought I read something about a guarantee that my truck would be there, if I reserved and paid in advance? None the less, my move is complete and I spent several additional hours working, paying help, and driving in rush our traffic, because uhaul didn't have their stuff together. I'm not a happy uhaul customer.

There was an issue with the trailer - brakes wee either coming on or it had a bad wheel bearing - They tried to find another trailer for me - without success - I drove the trailer for 250 miles - after about 75 miles the situation corrected itself and the trailer was fine -- likely a bad bearing - the staff at this location is always great

They unethical part is that the general manager just shoves the paper work in front of you and asks for a signature, no explanation unless you ask.

I was not told when I picked up my rental that the local Estes Park operator was closed until March 13th because of weather issues. This necessitated my making a 100 mile roundtrip to return the trailer. Had I been told, I might have made other arrangements. Not this location's fault......but UHAUL had to be aware of the problem and I could have been informed in Dallas.

By far the worst possible experience with any uhaul location ever!!!! Made my reservation over a week in advance, was called one day prior to pickup and was told i could come get my trailer early. Should up at the pickup location with my reservation and was told they didnt have a trailer for me and i would have to go to another location. I left there, very pissed off! Called uhaul less than five minutes later and was told the original location had my trailer and i needed to go back there. I went back and got my trailer and tried to schedule my drop off at a location that had storage units. I was told i did not need to schedule but they would give my a drop of site that also had storage. Left with my trailer only to find that a tire was damaged and couldnt go anywhere until it was replaced. After all this, i drive almost 1000 miles to my destination and go to the address they gave me only to find that there was no storage available at that location. Had to drive 20 miles away to a different location. Uhaul shohld be much better than this. They wasted lots of my time and my money without ever offering even so much as a slight discount for all the inconvenience. I work in customer service and would have been fired long ago if i ever considered treating my customers this way. Will definitely not be recommending uhaul to anyone!!!!!

Customers are given the ability to "Check-In" online which is great, but it does not make a difference when you arrive to pick up your rental equipment. By providing all of the detailed information a customer provides during the online check in process, this should enable the customer to simply drive up to an attendant, give your name, drivers license, swipe a credit card and then you get your equipment without ever having to go inside.

The truck that I rented had a broken sun visor, so every other bump, the visor would fall and block my vision. I informed the store of this so they next person to use the truck wouldn't have to deal with it like I did, and they responded that that was something common in a lot of their trucks. It didn't seem like an urgent thing for them to want to fix the trucks so they don't block the driver's view.

The sales representative was excellent. Friendly, and very helpful. The only complaint is with the vehicle headlights. They really need to be changed for a much brighter headlight. I had to get out and check two different times just to make sure they were on. They were no help at all on a dark road.

To whom it may concern, the first 15 ft truck i requested should have been 15 ft not 12 feet and the other 3 feet above the cab, I had to redo the paper work because I was moving something 13and 1/2 ft long .also you have a x on some of the scratches and dents but I spent 5 minutes on a walk around to find many more dents and scratches , I should not have found anything with out a x but I found about 10 things what a waist of time, and when I found out the 15 ft uhaul and it was only 12 ft i had to go back in and redo everythingand get a 20 ft truck and the first person that helped me had now Idea what he was doing , the person the helped with the 20ft truck was good and helpful , I will rent from your competitors on my next rental in 2 weeks unless someone from your headquarters can call me and can guarantee me a much better experience in 2 weeks on my next rental , My cell # is 214-957-3728 Bill Berry

The service at this location was ok but more importantly 1 thing was I reserved a tx8 trailer and upon arrival was informed that there were none available at that location or anywhere nearby. I had no choice but to take a larger trailer which ultimately cost me more in gas to pull although they discounted the rental by a few dollars. The next tragedy was my items were wet upon arrival to my destination. One of the items was a painting that is 57 years old and a brand new tv in a box never opened as well as some bags. We did have rain on the journey but I would not expect that the trailer would have leakage.

The fuel in the truck was not filled up to the stated line in brochure. Make sure you double check this because I did not and had to pay more. I drove 32 miles and the truck averages 8mpg, I went to pump 4.5 gallons of gas to make sure I got the truck back to the original fuel level. The person who I returned the truck to looked at the fuel gauge and said I was about 2 gallons short. I then argued that the truck had less gas then what the brochure said and he told me you should have checked before leaving. I guess it was my fault for not being diligent and asking all questions and concerns.

IF WHEN EQUIPMENT IS RETURNED AND THE U-HAUL EMPLOYEE FORGETS TO CHECK IT IN, THE CUSTOMER RECEIVES A TEXT STATING (as it did in my case) EQUIPMENT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED. FINALY ON MY 6TH CALL I ACTUALLY GOT THROUGH TO THE ACTUAL STORE TO HAVE THEM CHECK THEIR YARD AND LOCATE THE 6X12 I'D RETUIRNED 6 HOURS AFTER I RENETED IT - THE SAME DAY JANUARY 4TH 6:30PM. XAVIER COOPER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO HAVE SOMEONE CONFIRM THAT THE TRAILER WAS INDEED ON YOUR PROPERTY. I SHOULD HAVE MADE YOUR REP PROVIDE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION THAT I HAD RETURNED THE UHAUL EQUIPMENT TO AVOID SPENDING HOURS WAITING AND REPEATEDLY TRYING TO HAVE UHAUL DO THIER JOB OF LOOKING FOR THE TRAILER AND ENTERING THE RETURNED TRAILER INTO YOUR SYSTEM

I needed to wait a few minutes, both on the front end in picking up the truck as well as when I returned it. Not a huge deal, but not to see anyone for a few minutes on either end shouldn't be the norm. Also, I believe I had a very short ramp for a 26' truck which made the incline a lot worse than it needed to be.

I met 5,6 people yesterday before picking up the truck. None of them were helpful. I visited U-Haul for the first time so I was not aware of the drop off and other policies but they were not interested in giving the information / service. It was just that they were doing it for the sake of doing it. And its was not like they have workload or are busy but it clearly showed they were very lazy. They were not interested in helping me out even though it was their duty. I am not sure but I think it was due to the fact that I am not US citizen. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends or colleagues. I hope you take some action on this.

1. Your registers should be 1st come 1st serve. Some transaction are quick some are not. A customer should not be penalized with a 30 plus minute wait for picking the wrong checkout line. 2. I did not request a dolly, but I was provided a dolly. My husband insisted we return it immediately. Your employee confirmed I would have been charged if I didn't waste my time (and MILEAGE) by returning it. Why should I be penalized for YOUR employees mistake? 3. When picking up the van, the check out process had me verify that I wanted the credit card I reserved with charged at check out. I confirmed because that is the card I wanted to pay with. Then I bought a blanket and paid with a different credit card. This must have confused your computer because when I returned the van the second credit card was charged and NOT the card I VERIFIED I WANTED TO USE. Thanks so much for screwing up my budget, I greatly appreciate it. If it was a problem, why didn't YOUR employee simply ring up the purchase as a separate transaction?

I picked up the truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I drove it abou 10 miles. The needle barley moved so I did not stop and put $2.00 worth of gas in it. Upon the return I was told I would be charged $30.00 ....i needed to get back to my clients house so I let it go. When I looked at the receipt they had the needle positioned much lower than actual. I think this is poor business practice. I called later in the day and was put on hold for 25 minutes before hanging up. I have been renting trucks from this location for many years. That was the last time. Is it worth loosing a loyal customer for $30.00? O hope not.

I am on hold with customer service right now. I was told the tank was at 1/4 but when I got in the truck it was below that amount. So before I returned the truck, I made sure I put gas in it to the 1/4 mark (i.e. putting more gas in it than was originally there). So when I received my bill this morning and was charged for gas and told that it was well below what I turned it in at is ridiculous. I will fight this with the credit card company as well. The truck was very dirty when I picked it up which I was not going to complain about, however, being discharged really irritates me. I rent from you each year at this time to transport my product to a gift market, but you are not the only gig in town. I no longer live near this location but have gone back to here because I have had good service in the past. This has better get cleared up. I rented a car hauler. It vibrated so bad I could not go over 50 mph. I started to stop in Waco and change it out but there was a major storm at the time so I just kept going.
