Location was professional and courteous. However, I received a message while on highway for my return trip. Message said I was late returning vehicle. I called Customer Service to explain I was not due back til midnight on June 15. Customer service informed me it was due back at noon. In looking at contract agent at location had entered 12:00 p.m. Instead of a.m. My call was dropped during my first contact. I called again and explained issue to another CSR who put me on hold to get a manager. About 10 minutes later, I don't believe I am exaggerating, a third CSR picked up phone so I explained the situation a third time. This CSR PUT ME ON HOLD while she conferred with traffic. After a further 5 minute wait she came back and informed me I would be charged an additional day. When I protested she advised me to talk to the manager at the location. I was very displeased with how your CSR's handled this situation. They should have authority for at least the $20 in this case to make the decision to make a customer satisfied. As it turned out the location did not charge the extra day. I wasted about 30 minutes and experienced much frustration. UHaul can do better.

The sales representative called me thirty minutes fifteen minutes before time for me to pick up my rental and said the truck was not available for the time I requested. I went to get clarification and she then stated she had one available because another customer was returning theirs early. She gave me a truck that should be serviced and was damaged badly.

My appliance dolly was not available at the pick up location. Inhale to drive to two other locations before I could start moving. It as me back am hour on move time. All of the staff at every location I visited was very kind and helpful however. I've also already called customer service about my issue and it is being resolved. The woman I talked to on the phone was also extremely nice and professional.

My account was charged a refuel fee but I had already refueled as I was instructed to do. I have been promised phone calls back, emails and a refund but none of that has happened yet. I am not happy.

I was just about right at half a tank of gas and I was still charged $12 for probably 1 squeeze of the gas handle to put it back to half. I spent 14 hrs driving spent about $200 already in gas and got charged another $12 for being just a smidget from half a tank. I won't use uhaul again

I rented this truck at the mercer location in macon ga, went to pick it up and it was not there was then rerouted to another location in macon ga. My original reservation was from 5/27-5/29 after arriving at the other location it was changed to one day so when I went to return I was charged an additional day. I will never use uhaul for my rental needs and I will make sure I do not refer uhaul to anyone else idea rather pay a few extra dollars to your competitors just to make sure I get exactly what I want.

I have a problem with customer service at the main office. I called with a complaint about my truck and they were suppose to give my message to a manager but that never happened. I don't have a problem with the actual store just the main customer service 1-800 number.

Staff was excellent! The truck I was loaned was very good across the board except for one area. The ramp would not push in smooth at all. It would take 3 to 5 minutes to wiggle it, and slide it into the truck. It took two men to get it to go in. This may not seem like a huge deal, but in the GA heat, and after the truck is loaded/unloaded the last thing you want to deal with is a ramp that gives you major problems. We made about three back and forth trips so there were several times when we had to deal with the ramp. I meant to get this review in sooner so we could catch it before the next customer went through the same ordeal. Thank you so much.....

Be careful, especially if you are late returning the equipment. I rented for 1 day, but was 5 hours late returning, and they charged me for 3 days! I expected to pay for 1 extra day, but not 2 extra days for being 5 hours late!

This is the second time booking a truck from this location. I should've know better. Once again, I didn't get what I had requested. Was told the 10 footers couldn't go to Atlanta. Why then was the reservation taken? I was not a happy camper.

master cylinder leaded due to stripped cap and loss of brake fluid; Roadside replaced cap & filled master cylinder Next morning discovered right rear tail lamp faulty- no turn signal or brake lamp functions. Poor inspection by dealer prior to trailer rental. Roadside requested change out trailer load and I refused as hired moving van and workers to unload trailer and load moving van. Impractical for me to drive across town, unload trailer and reload into another 6x12.

I haven't needed to rent a moving truck in a few years but wow what an improvement in getting in and out at both the rental Location and drop off location Easeir then renting a car U-haul rental experience is off the charts as far as user-friendly. Way to go you U-haul!

Sirs: I originally rented two Dolly’s and 1 dozen pads from U-Haul in Macon GA. I returned 1 Dolly (I did not use it at all) and 6 pads because I did not need them. The pads were never taken out of the bag they were in. When I got my final bill I was charged for 6 pads saying they were missing. I again left the pads and 1 dolly at the Macon Store. According to the Store clerk I should have been credited $15.00 for the cart and she forgot to mention the ½ dozen pads I brought back. She stated herself in a note she gave me that she was not able to adjust the final price and asked that it be adjusted on the other end. I changed my destination to Alderson WV and it was there that I dropped the ½ dozen pads that I had and the one cart I had. Instead of being credited to my account with the $15.00 she said I should get and of course the pads I didn’t use I was charged. Mind you I am not complaining. My experience with U-Haul has always been great as it was this time. Everything got confused when I took things back. I am asking that you refund me the $12.00 that was charged to me for the “missing” pads, the $15.00 for the cart I did not use and $12.00 for the pads I originally left at the Macon Store. Train the staff about the customer service and maintenance. The car dolly tie downs/ hinges were all rusty and were unable to unhook the cars front tires. Had to spray WD-40 to literally unlock those rusty tie downs.

While the specific location in Macon was perfectly fine, my overall U-Haul experience was very poor. This since to stem more from the fragmented way the company is run with each location being under a different marketing group, etc. I originally made a reservation a week in advance for a 17' truck to be picked up in Conyers, GA, in the morning and to be dropped off in Macon, GA. This reservation was made for the cost savings it afforded. I was contacted two days before the move to be told that I would not be able to pick up at the location I wanted, I would have to use a 20' truck, not 17' since those apparently do not make one way trips, and the truck would not be available till noon. This would not work at all for me, so I had to cancel that reservation and scramble to a new reservation and change my plans on how I was going to pick up the truck, who was going to drop me off, etc. I ended up picking up a 17' truck in Macon, which I would then make a round trip with. The main issue with this is the cost. A one way trip was listed as a flat rate price for the first 90 or so miles, which was plenty for my needs for a one way trip. However, if you are going to be bringing a truck back to the original location you pay a flat fee of $29.99 for a 17' truck, plus you pay $0.99 a mile. This pricing change increased my bill by over $50! And the main reason for this is that the website were I made the reservation said nothing about a 17' truck not being able to make a one way trip, nor did it alert me when I made the reservation that I wouldn't be able to pick it up till the afternoon. I talked with a number of customer service representatives from U-Haul, and no one was able to provide any sort of help or discount to make up for the hassle I had to go through. I have moved numerous times in the past and have always used U-Haul without even looking at other companies, however this experience has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will be sure to check with Budget (which is right down the street from where I picked up my truck) or Penske rental trucks before I consider U-Haul again.

I had to go find somebody to help me. When I found them the customer service was horrible. The representative didn't speak or even say "how may I help you?" He just looked at me. After setting up the service he said that he would bring the truck around to do an inspection. Being that I have rented with Uhaul before I know that the representative and customer do this together, Well he brought the truck around, walked past me did not say anything and went inside the building, I thought maybe he went to go get something that he needed so I waited. Maybe 10 minutes later I walk inside and he is setting up services for other people who had just came in. He asks if I had done the walk around yet. I told him no I was waiting on him. He proceeds to tell me I can do it without him so I did just that. The equipment and everything was good but the customer service was horrible.

The latch was worn and loose. I had to stop and repeatedly secure the doors which opened 4 times. I was lucky that I did not loose any of my property. And lucky that nothing flew out of the trailer which could have been a potential safety hazard to other drivers and a liability to UHAUL corporation. Get it fixed!!!!!

Rented a small truck. Got to moving site there was no ramp or dolly inside truck. I called customer service main # associated with this store. Representative told me it was nothing she could personally but she would forward my complaint to the manager at this location and to expect a call for resolution. I never received a call from anyone from the Gray Hwy, Macon GA store but was charged full price. Four employees standing around talking, and 1 customer in store, upon arrival and didn't inspect truck before customer drive off is unacceptable.

The U-haul they gave me was filled with roaches. One employee (not the manager) told me that all he could do was blow it out because they didn't have another one in the size I reserved. I finally got a chance to speak with the manager and he helped me by giving me another size u-haul. After all this in now 4 hours behind schedule which made me have to change other appointments. They also need more than one person assisting customers in the front of the store Hrvatski this is a popular and very busy location.

not keep waiting for 2hours for a15 -30 minute job - let it be the price quoted on the phone-when ordering a hitch via phone,let her know that its not a complete hitch that ball and some kind of bar is extra I was expecting a complete hitch to be installed for my husbands birthday as a surprise --the wiring was installed in the trunk and had to hang out of the trunk down over the bumper instead of from underneath --we had that removed--had been told when made order that installation was 45.00,found out it was 75.00 hr. so we think that's why it took him so long, I even ask at one time if there was a problem.The employees were very pleasant but I and my husband are very unhappy with the whole situation and we still don't have a complete trailer hitch.

Traci Robinson is the reason I will not return to your location. Did not great me when I said good morning. Looked upset at the fact that I walked through the door and stopped her from sitting on her ass with her phone. This was the first time I use my truck to tow anything as she attached the tow dolly she noticed I did not have a 4 prong connector. She went inside and came out with an adapter connected it. I thought it was part of the rental but she said it was 12.99. I should have a choice if I wanted to purchase or not. When I checked out to leave She did not give me a receipt for the adapter. I noticed on my email that she charged me for it. I have owned a business for over twenty years and know that a business grows with great customer service. Without customers you have no service!!!!!

The parking area is very small and it is a major hazard to get into and especially out of onto the highway. Other than that there are no complaints today. I suggest buying the property across the street and adding on.

It was only 1/8 of gas in the vehicle when I picked it up but the paperwork stated that I must fill it to the 3/8 mark. I think that wasn't fair that I had to refill from the previous driver's tank position to their expected 3/8 point.

The customer service was horrible. Traci Robinson was the employee working with me. She had an attitude from the time I walked in the door. I came in at about 9:00am I was not greated when I came through the door and I was the only customer in the store at that time. I looked around to see if any one was at the desk she was sitting at the desk eating a bag of chips. She acted like she really did not want to be at work that morning and while assisting me a young man another employee came in at about 9:10 and she started yelling at him for being late to work and the way she talked to him was very rude and unprofessional. I had dpick-up time for 7am Employee showed up at 710, opened doors at 715, she showed up late with burger king bag of food and drink....she told me to make sure trailer was clean up or return or I would have to pay 25.00 cleaning charge---when she hooked up my trailer it was dirty and needed cleaned I told her it wasn't clean and she said its not too bad.i told her I wasn't taking a dirty triler, so she got air hose and blowed it out..i was finally able to leave at 745am---her attitude was very poor and I felt de-graded by her treatment of me as a customer. I will never use this location again...there are other locations in Macon Ga to use.

There is no words to describe how amazing there customer service was. On the way to Colorado my truck blew it's head gasket, I was able to contact a number to help me transfer the 5 x 8 trailer I was hauling to a full Truck and a car tow. They had both and not only saw that I was in trouble helped me get the best deal I could have asked for. Additionally, staff needs to ensure equipment is in working order especially trailers being used for long distance trips. I could have had a major accident or trip disruption if the tire or rim the tire was on failed due to the tire having a gash in it and the rim being bent as well.

We had be told that we could return the truck at any UHaul location. We had to that was on the same road we were using. The closest, 2782 Riverside Dr. did not exist. We went down the road to 2432 Riverside and they refused the truck. I guess they have that right but it does not follow the "take it anywhere". I had to call UHaul to get the Gray Hwy address. Just an inconvenience and more miles to travel.

The pick up went well. However after I took the vehicle home, loaded it and began my trip( abt 20 min in) the tire sensor light can on. I had to turn around and take the vehicle all the way back to the store for them to inspect the truck. I was told the tires were fine it was probably a bad sensor. I continued on my 3 hr trip with a tire pressure light on unloaded and returned the vehicle. I was slightly over miles but I explained the situation and the miles were removed. The staff were really accommodating with the process but it wasted about an hour of my trip time. I was on a time schedule. Truck I would rate below average than location. That score is for the truck not the location.

We I arrived, I was waited on by Traci Robinson. She did not appear to be in a good mood. When retrieving the trailer that I rented she was having difficulty getting the trailer out. At one point she let the trailer roll down a slight decline into a U-Hual truck. While she was attactching the trailer to my truck, I realized that it required a 4 point plug not the 7 point that I had. I told her and she got angry and said " I wish you would have told me that before", I said that if I knew that I would have. She told me they sell the adapters , I went to another store and biught one. I returned and attactched the trailer myself, while she continued to wash a different rental. The trailer was dirty inside with debris. I wounld not use the location if you need a rental.

This was the third location we were sent to. The first one was double booked. We were there with credit card in hand, but were denied the U-Haul because another person had also booked but were not there. The second location we were sent to were "out to lunch" . After waiting 2 hours and calling the U haul representative, we were informed that the owners would not be coming back. I will never use U-Haul again. Very poor logistics operation. Spent 3.5 hours trying to get a U-Haul with three different reservations. All the U-Haul manager wanted to do was keep discounting. I told her I just wanted to be sent somewhere to get a U-Haul. The young man who assisted me during the rental process was very nice and friendly, but did not seem very knowledgeable (I assumed he was new). Since I dropped the truck off after hours I had to go in the next morning to finalize everything. When I arrived there was no one there to greet the customers and I had to wait more than 20 minutes for someone to assist me. When the girl finally did come in from the back she seemed like she had an attitude or that I had disturbed her.
