People were great. Truck was bad. Transmission sounded like it was going fall apart. It got stuck in low gears. The steering was loose like 1960s truck. Alignment off. Brakes like manual 60s. Brakes went soft and transmission jerked and lurched forward like I had let go of the brake. Emergency did work. It's had a good life but time to trade that truck in.jack S.

Everyone I encountered was extremely nice as I’m relocating from Tampa to Orlando and my apartment is ready yet . But the problem occurred when the agent called to confirm my truck rental and suggested since I would be needing a storage to stay in the uhaul family I obliged and was given a rsvp confirmation email and number for a 10 x15 storage unit which I needed to house my item I was forced to figure out where I would be putting stuff because when I arrived to check in I was told there are no unit of that size to accommodate me .. I was extremely tired from the move and cleaning the house to even want ti go anywhere els he offered us a 10x12 which isn’t what I needed . The first unit was u savory in appearance. So I went back to the office n the super friendly older gentleman didn’t hesitate to offer me another option. But it was extremely annoying I asked for a partial refund due to issues that came up but I was told .. it’s up to the store to . Handle that .. but all 3 individuals whom I encountered were super helpful seemed to be a huge clerical error that should of never happened.but I’m would not recommend because I had to find a place for items that couldn’t fit .Zakeya G. | First Impressions
Understaffed is the norm, it appears. I had a reservation and still wound up waiting in line for 15min to speak to someone, and then waited 20 more to get my trailer while they helped others who had also been waiting. The truck had loose steering. This made it dangerous at highway speed. The steering had a long delay when I would make corrections, often drifting into the lane beside me and once, almost hitting the truck to my right rear. This was very scary and unsafe during an 11 hour trip.BRENT W.

They only get a 4-star rating because I rented a climate controlled storage space, but when I got there on Tuesday, the A/C wasn't working and no-one told me it was out. Fortunately, they got it fixed by Friday.ROGER J.

I would say that you should tell people how much storage, delivery, and pick up of the empty boxes are from the beginning and that they are separate fees from the main delivery, pickup of full boxes, and shipping fee. I had known about this from a post I had read about someone else who used your services but if it had been a surprise I would not have been very happy. Also - would like to be able to select how many furniture pads I want, not just have a bunch show up that I don't want or need (or have space for).Elizabeth D.

Location was convenient but service was ok at best. We paid for a climate controlled unit but the air conditioning was not working for at least 3 weeks with no estimate on when repairs would be made. It was over 100 degrees in my unit and I didn’t want to wait any longer. I moved to the Extra Storage Space facility. We were lied about the truck we were rented. We were told that it was a new security feature to turn the wheel all the way to the left or right to start the vehicle. When I return we the truck, I was told a ne lw key was cut and I just had to hold the key into the lock for a few seconds. Contacting Uhaul through 1-800-go uhaul is useless !!! I will seriously consider using Penske or Ryder next time even if it costs me more money. After you sign the contract and pick up the Uhaul rental truck you are completely on your own. Lord forbid you have to change drop off locations or worse, have a mechanical issue because trying to contact anyone at Uhaul to help you is impossible.David C.

I am giving a 3/5 star, average rating because the experience was incredibly simple and the location and facility are decent. If I hadn't asked for directions to access the gate to the facility then I wouldn't have had to interact with anyone who worked there and that is very convenient indeed. However, this survey does not include the question of satisfaction with the price. I'm renting a climate controlled 5x5 space which average cost (including climate controlled) is $44 and I am paying $65. That is a price increase of very near 50%. The directions to the facility are adequate but could be improved by stating which direction the facility map is facing. The facility map is laid out north/south, while the physical location stretches east/west. A simple fix would be a north orientation arrow on the facility map or orient the map in landscape instead of portrait. The location was easy to find, and the access to the gate can be found by doing a little searching. There appear to be no signs or directions on how to get to the gate once on property and the vehicle rental and rental return building are up front blocking the view of the storage area. It took me an extra minute to find. A minor inconvenience and now that I know it will be easy to access. I'd recommend using this Uhaul storage location for a short term but not long term time period as the extra $20 per month adds up. After a year's rent (plus taxes and fees) that is $840 vs the average price (+taxes/fees) of $600.William S. | Online Move In
