Location allowed the trailer to be rented with two old tires, one was not even an approved uhaul tire it was a spare from road side assistance and never replaced. We had a blow out in Wisconsin, tornado watch in effect and I'm pregnant. we were so lucky that the uhaul in osseo stayed open and replaced the tires otherwise we would have to have waited 2 hours to get assistance from road side. The Osseo location went out of their way to help when we called in a panic.Brittany L.

We only had 1/4 tank of gas which was a pain as we had to fill to use and fill to return. Should have started with a full tank. We were told that our reservation changed to be contactless and after you go though all the steps online to rent the van, we still had to go inside and stand in a long line to get the keys.Bryan K.

The store experience was fine, except for when I returned the vehicle I was charged an additional $75 and I have no idea why. Not to mention the truck ran REALLY bad, and was so loud that I couldn't hear myself think. Pretty embarrassing. Other then that it was great.JULINA A.

The furniture movers we reserved were not there when we picked up the truck and we had to go somewhere else to get some. Had we known the items I reserved weren't going to be available when I went to pick up the truck, I wouldn't have gone with uhaul. The staff members we dealt with regarding our rental were rude, unprofessional and made no attempt to make it right. I lost several hours of my day due to this set back (employees looking for the items, issuing a refund and then having to drive to another town to purchase furniture movers) and all i got was an, "I don't know, i guess we're all out." I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service i received and will not be doing business here again.Clint L.

Ask yourself the question: if Uhaul changed the location of your pickup due to a schedule change, would you expect the equipment to actually be available at the new location, or the old location? I ordered online a 10' truck and auto transport. Just before the trip, Uhaul changed the type of auto transport to fit my vehicle, from 7.5 to 7.0. The ditz on the phone couldn't tell me if that was a weight rating, nor how wide the transport was, which was critical info for me. I had to then delay the pickup time a few days, so Uhaul changed the pickup location from Bremerton to Tacoma, which is hours away with traffic. Not good, so we found that Poulsbo, just N of Bremerton, was a better option and available same day. Good to go! I fly out from my home and get a ride to Poulsbo, meet the kind rep at the desk, who shows me the auto transport and then asks, "where's your truck?" Huh? Oh yes, readers, it turns out the reservation was changed just for the auto transport; the truck reservation was still Tacoma. No phone rep or email or text mentioned that. I head to pick up the 10' truck. Turns out this truck also has very poor lateral stability with my 6k' lb truck on the transport behind it, making it sway constantly side to side and pitch wildly over the slightest dips in the road. I mentioned this as a possibility with phone ditz and truck rep dude, but they both said "that's what the computer says is best!" So when, now hours late, I checked out the truck, it was almost empty of fuel, although the paperwork claimed 1/2 tank. I ran back to the responsibility-challenged truck rep dude, who threw up his hands and said, "just take a picture of the fuel level and load it into the app," - a perfect Millennial response - not, "holy crap, let me fix that, I know we've completely screwed you so far today!" and fill the tank. So now I have to head to Costco in Silverdale to fill up the tank before even heading to get my truck, another major delay thanks to Uhaul supreme incompetence. So my schedule was ruined, as by the time I had the truck loaded and secure, it was deep into Seattle traffic time and so a 6 hour planned road trip turned into an 11 hour excursion from living hell.JAMES S.

I attempted to complete the truck rental return between 7 and 8 pm. I tried multiple times to load your website with zero success. I also attempted to call your 1-800 number for assistance and was on hold for about 30 minutes before giving up. They charged me an additional day for rental as a result of the above. I am NOT HAPPY. The location claimed they will credit the extra day back, but I am not hopeful. I will be watching my credit card activity very closely. Your policies make zero sense if your website won't load properly and you default to charging an extra day. Also, it's beyond clear your national call center is overwhelmed. All of this equates to a horrible customer experience.BRIAN B.

I made my reservation many many months in advance, almost a year in advance. When I did the online check-in on August 13th, I received a confirmation email that said my reservation was guaranteed for pick up that day. When I went in on the pick-up day to pick up my trailer, the person that had it before me decided not to bring it back that day. How can you help guarantee a pickup, if it can't guarantee that they will have the equipment? All of my plans and scheduling for use of that trailer had to be severely modified because this person would not bring back the enclosed trailer. I had to make do with an open trailer which severely limited my ability to pack how I previously had planned. No accommodations were made for me in regards to this inconvenience, I was told that a supervisor it would be notified and try to see what they could do as far as the cost of my reservation is concerned, considering what I was guaranteed was no longer available. When I arrived on the lot to pick up my trailer, there were several enclosed trailers on the lot. When I asked about them, the attendant told me that they were four people picking up now through 10 a.m. the next day. I was physically there to pick up my trailer and someone else who was picking up after me had a guaranteed enclosed trailer, even though I was picking up prior to them. They should have given me one of those enclosed trailers and scramble around other locations to find another trailer for the next person who would be picking up the next day. I used to be able to ReliOn U-Haul 4 MI trailer needs. The last two years it has been made clear that that is not possible, as last year the open trailer that I wanted was not available even after I had made a guaranteed reservation months in advance. You need to change your business model, and figure out a new way to actually guarantee that the reservations made are kept. I understand that people may decide to keep a trailer for a truck for an extra day and they will be charged for an extra day, but I think knowing the advance that you may be charged a specific penalty on top of the extra days fee for doing so, may deter people from doing this in the future. This person did not care that they impacted somebody else's reservation and plans. I brought my trailer back an entire day early because I did not need it for the extra day, and I thought it would be nice for somebody else to have one available for last-minute rental if needed. U-Haul needs to make it explicitly clear that you will be financially hit in the pocketbook if you do not keep to your reservation dates. I will no longer be using U-Haul, you have lost all of my business and I will make sure to tell all of my friends on social media about this experience, which I've already begun to do. I would rather sink my money into a trailer purchase then do a once-a-year rental for a fraction of the cost. I cannot support a business that didn't bother to do anything else besides say "I'm sorry".CHANDRA Q.

I had reserved a trailer for the time that worked with my schedule. The night before I received a voice-mail saying my trailer wasn't available but that another one would be available. They also informed me I couldn't keep it for the original 24 hours I had reserved it originally. Unfortunately this messed up my plans for using it later Sunday morning. When I asked if I could receive a discount because it affected my schedule, I was told 'no'. When I asked what the reason was, the man just told me that they didn't need to give a discount because a contract hadn't been signed. He was very rude and could care less if they're mistakes in scheduling didn't allow me the time I needed with the trailer. I've rented a trailer many times from this location, but have never been treated with such disrespect.RYAN W.

When I came in employees were arguing and I was not acknowledged. The girl that helped me was rude. During the trip a taillight that was clearly not installed well fell out. I had to make a special stop to get it fixed. I also was told last minute that I had to drive 40 miles out of my way to pick up the tow Dolly in Bremerton.Thomas T.

Please check if clients had an animal in the vehicle. I'm severely allergic to dog and cat hair and dander. I had to use tape from the office to remove some of it. The seats needed to be fully washed and scrubbed. I did let the employees know and hope to receive a discount for the inconvenience.QIANA W.

Needs more managers on hand to deal with situational stuff such as mine, apparently it was noted in my report to remove 22Miles because of a key that was not provided to the lock on back, but the employee on station could not do that himself with no manager on station and submitted a â€œticketâ€, so I had to up front the full amount when days ago this was discussed with scheduling department and on site personnel.DEAN B.

Had an awkward situation as I took the word of the rep that the truck was good to go at the front counter. Didn't see the text to check the vehicle before driving away but did take photos of it all anyways. It was across the street with the backend shoved into the blackberries and the U-Haul tech helped locate it for me as it was blocked in by other trucks, he said to check the back to make sure the homeless didn't have a party in the truck overnight as it's been a problem. Anyways, when I went to fill it up and double checked the paperwork to return I realized the mileage out was wrong by approx 100 miles off at checkout. As I only needed to put in four gallons, I definitely didn't do the mileage the paperwork suggested I had done. Luckily when I brought it up on return the employee went ahead and got it to his manager and she was able to verify mileage was incorrect on the paperwork when I checked it out. I have used the vehicle inspection sheet when renting before but it was a van and was approved online and then all I had to do was get the key from the store. This time for the truck I wasn't aware I had to go through a web inspection form again. Anyways, big thanks for the manager to get it all sorted! Sorry for being a knucklehead customer!Jay K.

I was told to match the key to sticker above the cab. Sticker was on gauge cluster. We had confirmed my ordered items. There were no blanked in the truck and noone had directed me to get them myself. I had to take photos of the truck cause there was heavy damage to the front bumper and large dents on the lower sides of the box. So I ended up 45 min late to departing... there were no online larger trucks available in my time slot so I went with 15ft and it was way to small so I ended up having to make an extra trip. I was booked till 930 and couldn't log in (cause my last name was spelled wrong) I called hotline, person transfered me to scheduling ...after the operating hours it hung up.... then I had to call again. Then i was informed it was closed. Couldn't extend my truck an hour or 2 with out another day charge... it was overly stressful to be told I'm getting charged 20$ for no online registration. The another 60$ if I didn't make it when the truck is up to 24 hours.... for my first self uhaul truck experience it was overly stressful. The truck did good and the employees were nice and friendly.Michael T.

Answer the phone!!! Had a guy tell me that my trailer was ready a day early. I had better go pick it up before its gone. It was a day early! The uhaul in bremerton would not answer the phone. I drove from my house to the location. On hold for 30 mins panicked. I walked in to the location. It was not busy. 2 attendants. 1 attendant glued to his phone the other attendant said she "forgot" to have her calls forwarded back to her. Subsequently, I picked up my trailer a day early, and had to return it a day early. That was not part of my schedule.KURT S.

When i made the reservation 5/26/21 for 26' truck and rental unit, the rental unit was advertised to be free for the 1st month. I noticed immediately after confirming the reservation that I was charged $89.95. I sent an email right then saying this was to be free and to cancel if there is a charge. As of 06/01/21 I have not received a response nor a refund for this amount. The storage unit was not used and is not going to be used, I did not want it if it was not free for the first month as advertised when I made the reservation.JANI B. | Online Move In
I was on deployment and they messed up my payment method, so i kept getting letters and calls about me not paying my bill. They also called and said the lock (that we bought from their store) was not a valid lock and threatened to cut it. Just overall a bad experience. I began renting a storage unit at the end of April of this year; and since that time I paid every month by way of automatic debit. On at least one occasion the hinges of my door were tampered with; and I right away alerted the staff. (I was glad I chose the extra insurance in case of theft etc.) Throughout my time there many times I had to walk to the office and request they unlock the door during normal business hours; and found difficulty with my key-card working consistently. This was inconvenient as many times there were long lines and I got tired of waiting. When I was notified that my cost was increasing, and had moved to another location, I made the decision to exit and left the unit in good clean condition for which I have a whitness. After vacating the unit I spoke with the staff; and they retained my key-card; and issued a refund. Subsequently I received a late notice stating that I had not paid. I sent numerous emails and called to resolve the matter. By contract however, the truck rentals over the years has been helpful with easy transitions; and problem free service.KASEY G. | Overall Experience
