I have rented many trucks from this location over the years. Unfortunately, this one experience was awful because of the woman working the counter. She screamed at me, and I watched her scream and curse at other customers and at the employees. I may continue to use this location but will avoid weekends (and that employee). Hopefully she can get some training in customer service - and how to treat employees. Very disappointingJANE O.

Get some humans to answer the phone Allow for on-line reservation of a truck round trip with a one way trailer rental online. MANY people purchase vehicles at long distance and do not need to tow an empty car hauler halfway and often the purchase may not be completed so they tow it empty both ways. The 2 ladies at desk were helpful & friendly. Our truck we reserved wasnt there. We were told it was to be returned the night before and it wasnt. Our reservation was moved to This location. We never wanted this location so to drive extra 15 mins, wait in line for 10 then deal with issues for 30 ruined our moving day. Someone should have called me to say the size truck we reserved wasnt there. At least then we could've gone somewhere closer to rent a smaller. Not only was it smaller, they downplayed why the big 1 wasnt really needed. But we had a lot of items. Not everything fit. We need to rent again which we likely wont choose ubaul. We are disappointed in the whole experience. Then we were told to call cust svc. Waited 25 mins for a rep who immediately hung up on us. Manager was very rude. Trailer lights did work and had to wait for repair. Upon return fo equipment she wanted me to take trailer across the street. I told her my difficulties to reverse trailer away from return area and she threatened me with double payment. Eventually she had me dropped of the trailer. Persons over 60 could not access your IT platforms with confidence. But it's great tech. Non-truckdrivers should be assisted in familiarizing themselves with trucks. I could not find the hazard light switch on your GMC; I drive Hondas and Toyotas. And I'm no dummy. I finally found how the headlights operate when darkness fell. Nepotism is not good business; three, perhaps four persons, immediate family, with the birth or married name Colon work at your Pine Street, Bridgeport, CT office. The manager should be dismissed. Very coarse person. Your regional staff is stellar. Why did I have to ask for a veteran discount? Budget and Penske offer them; 10% off. I worked for Ryder for 3 years in the '80s. Got a call the night before I was to pick up my pods saying they wouldn’t be available. Had a deadline for a closing date and they didn’t even have a solution when they called. Inconveniently, we had to pick up a truck from one location and pack up everything and then offload it into a facility at a completely different location. My experience at Bridgeport was satisfactory. What was not satisfactory was my experience at the Wooster Square Uhual in New Haven Connecticut. They have tainted my experience with uhual with thier unprofessionalism. We choose uhual for our 24 hour journey specifically because I could reserve a storage unit. We arrived at the location at 2 with a confirmation number to get access to our storage. unit. When we got thier they told us that they had given our storage unit away because it is first come first serve. They said that reserving a storage unit doesn't actually mean anything. The uhual website just adds the ability to reserve a unit, so you can think you are getting a unit but you have come here first to get it. He said they dont advertise it but you are not actually reserving a unit. This was infuriating especially after a 24 hour trip that took me 3 days. Then they sent me on a wild goose chase with two other uhuals to find a storage unit. The ordeal took 3 hours. I will not recommend uhual to any of the people I know who are moving and if people ask me about uhual i will make sure to tell them thier are better options. I have had an awful experience! I have put in a report with customer service. As a dissatisfied customer I would appreciate a refund or a discount for the inability to full fill what was agreed on when we purchased the uhual on your website. If this is done, I will be satisfied and just assume it was one bad location. This seems like one of the busier UHaul locations. I would like to see a worker assigned specifically to the lot to help with trailer hookups, returns . It was very confusing to get set up into the building. The big double doors didn’t open to be able to pull a couch through for easier access. Apparently you needed a card to have those doors open, but I did move in online and thought it would be a smooth transaction. I moved in after hours because of my work schedule, and I tried to call the after hours number multiple times, where I was not able to reach anyone for maybe a little direction of help. Facility is clean and organized though, so I am happy about that. I liked The facility. My only issues were that the sliding doors to enter and exit very confusing. Also it was very difficult to reach anyone on the phone if I had a question. I arrived on site and followed the instructions to gain access to the building. Went to my unit and found it locked with a small brass lock. Went to office and asked for assistance. Attendant was busy processing truck returns. I said I would try again the next day. Returned to find lock still on unit. Attendant met me at unit and removed the lock. Opened unit to find a 12"+×12"+ vertical support column in the middle of the unit. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the Attendant who said they couldn't do anything. I also requested the round lock that was supposed to be included. Attendant said he would get it and return to the unit. Attendant did not return for 15+ minutes and was outside handling truck returns when I went to find him. I returned to the office after another 10 minutes and he handed me a lock. He said he had to call GM to get access to locks. I asked if he spoke to the GM about the obstruction in my unit and he said No. Summary: The unit is not acceptable and another unit should have been assigned immediately. The customer service was terrible. Besides the waiting, the attendant did not address a significant issue and obvious customer dissatisfaction. The obstruction was not noted on the website or any subsequent communications. I reserved a 5'x10'x10' storage unit. The obstruction reduces the available storage volume and prohibits storage of most wide or long items. I have been waiting for the assignment of a new unit.
