When I made the reservation, I was told that I would receive a call with the pickup location. No call. I called in 3 times, then was finally given an address in Abington, MA. I called back the next day with a question, and was given a Brockton location. I called the day prior, again, just to make sure. I never did get a call or email telling me; I had to call your 800#. This pick up location was assigned to me. I was in Hingham, MA and the pickup location was in Brockton, MA. I passed 9 other Uhaul locations on the way. I could have saved a lot of time, and miles had a closer one been offered to me. Frustrating.

I made an appointment online. I called the number when I was running 5 minutes late and was told that was "no problem". When I got to the location I was told their installer was gone and that the call center is unaware of their installer's hours and that they were "lazy" (their words) and had forwarded my ~2:45pm call to the call center. When I came back the next day I requested a discount on a hitch cover . Not only did the clerk not offer a discount until I asked several time but the item marked at $15.95 was ringing up at $18.01. When I said sales tax is 6 % not $2.00 she made no effort to explain or investigate. Also, the tech who installed my hitch could not explain the 2 different weight limits listed on my paperwork re my hitch.

It was quick, the uhaul employees were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My truck was ready when I got there. If the customer supply order could automatically pop up upon customer arrival that would be great, i almost forgot to get them. Overall the experience was excellent.

Terrible experience. Truck broke down twice, called road side assistance, was on hold for 2.5 hours and was told I should ask my neighbors for assistance. No assistance was provided by Uhaul. Had to call AAA. Wasted 7 hours and AAA cost.

What is it with contacting you (corporate) if we have a mechanical problem with the truck on the road? I have a website I can use to contact you. Really? How about a phone number? I have a dumb phone not a smart phone and have no access to the net on the road! People on site were easy to work with and professional. No problems with them.

Understaffed and extremely slow, the one fast employee was working over his normal shift to assist. Multiple equipment issues, trailer hitch was on the ground (I had to physically lift the trailer and attach to my ball hitch), axle were squealing and grinding, as well as the marker lights had fallen inside trailer (had to pull out via electrical cord and reattach to make visible.

The service was fast, friendly. The gentleman took time to make sure I was well taken care of. Great service! my truck broke down before it left the parking lot. Exchanged out. During the move the other Truck had liltle to no oil or steering fluid either. Stalled out a couple of times. After putting fluids in. I was on my way. Much faster than Roadside service.

Vehicle was dropped off and checked in no issue I then received an email with receipt for charges not matching my vehicle which is when we discovered that the documentation was changed after I left the pick up location resulting in me being charged for gas when I shouldn't have as well as extra miles. When I initially called I was told the manger who checked in the truck was no there after asking multiple times for the managers name and the personnel refusing to give it to me I was hit with the "oo he just walked in" line at that point the manager finally discovered the error and I was reimbursed.all could have been avoided if everyone did their jobs from the get go.

The 6x12 enclosed trailer should have a tongue jack so that it is easier to hook up and remove. This trailer is too heavy to not have a jack.

My overall experience was terrible . First I requested a Uhaul truck for feb 15 2017 and I requested to drop off the truck at another location . Then changed my mind and said I would bring the truck back instead of dropping it off at another location. I then requested a new reservation because I was dropping the truck off. The representative added my debit card information to the wrong reservation . After I requested my first reservation to be cancelled . When she cancelled my first reservation I was charged $112.00 which she told me my card will not be charged at all they just needed a card on file. So now I'm agitated because I'm being charged to cancel a reservation and have to wait about 3-5 business days for the money to be credited back into my account. So at this point I added my debit card information to the correct reservation that I had asked for . She then tells me $47.68 will be put on hold and it won't be pulled from my account. After I give her my card information and and processes the card she then tells me okay $70.89 has been put on hold . Hold on wait a minute didn't you just say it was $47.68 that's gonna be put on hold. So now I'm furious because how are you telling me one price and the card is processed and it's a lot more than what you just said . She didn't have any valid reason as to why this happened . She kept blaming it on the system. Like no you guys should know your system VERY WELL and how it works . There's no excuses as to why my card was CHARGED twice for no apparent reason . Mind you I told them I will be paying CASH when I return the truck . So why is any money being pulled out . Why was I charged both times . Now I have to wait for 3-5 business to get my money back and I don't think that's right . It's upsetting and completely aggravated me . I don't think I will ever use Uhaul again . & it sucks because this was my first time ever using this company and this has been the worst experience.

I was not going to be able to make it to UHaul by 7pm. I didn't return home until maybe 7 the night before after dealing with the issues previously explained. I called a lady at the Brockton uHaul and explained the situation. I told her I could make it there at 7:05pm. She said to drop it off in the over night drop box. I asked if I would be charged for a late fee, she said NO, as long as it is overnight. When I arrived the employees just locked the door so I dropped it in the drop box. ONE MONTH later I receive a pending withdrawal from my checking account in the amount of $77.78, which now is only $47.78 after the transaction was completed and the $30 "late fee" was lifted. I immediately called West Roxbury uHaul and they said it was an extra day fee, and a mileage fee. They said to call the Brockton location to see what's going on. If I dropped it off overnight there shouldn't be a fee. I called the Brockton location and they said they couldn't help me. That they'd have a manager call me. That was last week and I have yet to receive a call. The next day I called the main UHaul number, they said someone would reach out to me within 3 business days. I have yet to receive a phone call. I am upset that I was charged an extra day fee when I did NOT have the UHaul for an extra day. It's one thing to have an unpleasant experience overall, but to be charged a fee for an extra day when I did not have it an extra day is ridiculous. I'm not sure how many miles it says I went over. If anything it should have only been a mile or 2 with my calculations and including the 10 mile "reimbursement" that was hand written on the agreement. I need a refund for extra day fee. This is ridiculous. I use Uhaul every time I move, and I am NOT happy with the service I received this time. This moving experience was the worst by far and now I have to deal with extra false charges.

I rented a pickup truck and a trailer. Your website has no option to allow me to choose your pickup truck towing the trailer. It somehow defaulted to a mobile home and your staff wasn't able to change it so they started over again, which delayed things about 20 minutes. We checked the trailer lights ourselves as we were leaving and discovered that the right brake light/turn signal light was not working. That took another 20 minutes to resolve by switching to another pickup truck. While switching to the new pickup truck, the person discovered that the locking clip on the hitch pin was loose and could have easily fallen out while driving, which may have resulted in the pin falling out, which would have been disastrous during our 150 mile trip, which were mostly highway miles.

2nd truck rented in less than a week for a whole house move - wayyyyy cheaper then movers. This location is great - the service, the selection of trucks and moving supplies, and the ease of rental. Would highly recommend.

The Cargo van that We rented 4-5 time this year had a keyless remote with the key. this time they removed the remote from the keys. with this type of vehicle the key has to be in the ignition and turned on to use the manual unlock button. Microwire will think about changing rental companies because this is a real inconvenience for the workers.

I was overcharged for the damage waiver, as I only wanted the basics for accidental damage. I did not get the 17' truck I had reserved online, and was overcharged for the 15'. The fact that my order was inexplicably cancelled when I went to pick up my truck is why I am writing this review. I was not to pick my truck up at this location(Brockton, MA); I had a reservation to pick my truck up at 6pm in Fall River, MA on Friday 10/28. I had confirmed my reservation on the phone with someone twice during the week leading up to my rental. My experience with the call center is what led to my order being cancelled without my knowledge. In fact, I received a confirmation text/email the day before and the day of the rental which confirmed my resvervation for Friday 10/28. When I arrived at the location on Pleasant Street in Fall River, MA they informed me that my order was cancelled. The workers at that location really worked hard to get me the best alternative for a rental at that time, but the best I could do was pick up the equipment that I originally reserved for the 28th on the 29th in a location 30 miles from where I was. It was someone over the phone from the call center who helped me make my reservation. She didn't seem all that helpful in determining how my reservation was cancelled. She had told me that the note I had indicated that I never showed up or called to pick up the truck and thought that I was a day late for my reservation on 10/28. I had to inform her at that point that it was Friday 10/28 right at that moment while I was on the phone with her. I ended up making alternate plans to stay in the location I was at on Friday 10/28(70 miles from my home), which changed all of the moving plans for the weekend, causing everyone involved to lose a significant amount of packing/loading time that weekend. Instead of having the UHaul truck in the loading location on Friday night 10/28, it didn't arrive there until about 12pm on Saturday 10/29. I'm not sure why I even bothered to make a reservation in the first place and to check not once, but twice that week to confirm. So many arrangements were being made around the UHaul reservation. Much of my loading help was supposed to be on Saturday morning in Woburn, MA; but I was not in the area at that time because I was too busy picking up a truck, driving back to Fall River, loading the truck with what I had down there(with less help, as I had people lined up to help me on Friday night), and then driving to Woburn. The loading at that location then fell on me the rest of that day. I just don't understand why I wasn't even called or contacted in some way when my reservation was cancelled. The issue could have potentially been fixed at that point; my moving experience did not have to be that horrible due to this one major detail that was confirmed to be all set by your employees.

The first truck I was given had a broken backndoor. Then was given a new one which messed up the system. Then was not given proper location so I Jd to hunt for the truck. When the truck was checked out, the mileage and fuel were not correct in the system. The rep initialed the receipt but when I returned the truck, I was charged incorrectly. Spent half hour on the phone trying to correct it. This resulted in an overcharge of $1,275!!!!!!

my reservation was changed twice - once without telling me the time was being cut off by 8 hours, second time by location having to change. then I get to the location 30 miles farther and the truck wasn't there and I ended up with a van. had to make multiple trips and never got any refund for the mess ups on their part, OR for the extra mileage to the farther location OR for the fact that I had to make two trips cause my 10 foot truck was not there when I got there so I got switched to a cargo van

Reservations need work, I called the day before to reserve a van the lady on the phone had a terrible attitude and the next day when I went to pick up the van they said they didn't have me reserved. I had a confirmation email and everything and she still said I didn't have a reservation. I had to go to another city in order to get one which was very inconvenient.

The location seemed under staffed. The employees were not very personable. The truck had only 1/4 a tank of fuel so I had to stop to get gas right as I left the location. I ended up having a tire blow out and I'm sure it was due to no one inspecting the truck. The employees need to be more friendly and the trucks should always be cleaned, maintained and fueled. That's what I expect when I pay top dollar for a rental from a large company. I was very disappointed.

This is a UHAUL problem, not a branch issue!!! There was a problem with being able to contact a branch directly when a wallet was thought to have been left in one of the trucks. I kept being automatically transferred to a call center and the call center was unable to even get in touch with the branch via phone. This is VERY poor customer service when trying to make sure a truck is rechecked before being rented out again. The call center sent a message to.the branch via email and I still have not received a call back after almost 24 hours.

Brockton U-Haul woman sent me to a place to drop off the truck. The place was closed had to call you and figure out where else to drop off the truck after a day of moving furniture from one place to the other then finding the U-Haul place to drop off the truck and it being closed was a pain not a good experience thank you everything else was fine

I live 5 minutes from a large Uhaul location which had quite a few trucks sitting in the lot yet I was told the closest location I could rent from was 40 minutes away. It was a tiny gas station and when I arrived (after previously confirming my rental) I was told the truck wasn't there because someone didn't return it and they couldn't get in touch with him. Luckily, a representative found a truck at the next nearest location (still 20 minutes away) and when I got there they were ready and very friendly (Stoughton store).

Your employee was not very friendly or helpful. I was not even greeted with a friendly smile when checking in. Then I was told where the truck was LL keep in mind I said it was my first time there. I have never rented a U-Haul in my life so what does LL mean to someone who has not clue? Nothing. I kept saying where's LL she said there I said where she said right there. I said ok there's a lot of trucks here can you please help me figure where LL is she said its right there look on the ground. I said if you told me that in the first place I wouldn't of had to ask you 3 xs. So after we finally find LL as we get in it there's a rip in the seat & the truck smells like pee. We go to pull away & then she parks another U-Haul truck right in front of us so now we cant get out. She sees we are trying to pull away & instead of moving it up a little further so we can get out she parks it right in front so now we are struggling to get out of the LL parking spot. After finally getting out we hear a lot of banging in the back. Apparently no one shut the back door. If that was supposed to of been my job to do that then I should have been told.

The manager told me my confirmation was cancelled when I had arrived at 12 to pick up my truck. He said I should have been there at 10. I told him there was nowhere that said my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't pick up the truck at 10am. He told me I "was luckey" he still had a truck available. If this is in fact the policy, you should make it more clear. You should also have better, kinder customer service representation. Moving is already stressfull enough. The customer Service is horrible ?? the front desk rep was way to ok with doing the bare minumum of her job. I was asking questions she wasn't sure about anything. I was clear that i wanted to pay cash and she said that it was fine. Then when i returned the car she charged the card and took my cash ???????? I was very clear with her that i did not want to charge my card and i explained why! The manager was called over and did a few things in the system and then told me the card was not charged. I asked again .. explained to him if it chrged the card already then i dont want to pay cash .. Irratted he said no again and so i proceeded to pay with cash. Now i have to wait 3-5 business days for a refund and i had an appointment with my Acura dealer to fix my sqeeling brakes... Thanks Uhal what an experience

The other counter woman was working with customers who were speaking through a translator. The general manager at the location told us he could not add extra mileage to the rental even though the first time we rented from the location the lady changed the mileage. After we asked if she could help us instead he gave us the mileage...because I paid cash I was told I had to give a $100 deposit that we would get back upon dropping the truck off at the location we were traveling to. When we got there that location does not handle cash transactions so they could not give us the $100 deposit back. The man said we would not get charged for the extra day because of the fact all of that was told to us...but we had to take it back to the Brockton location. The whole process has been a nightmare.

I am very disappointed that you are charging me a 25 cleaning fee. You website pricing does not mention it and it just added on. I think I left I bottle of water in the cab. Otherwise there was nothing to clean. Adding fees like this undermines your online pricing validity. You advertise 29 for truck and then add on price for each mile then you add on price for gas and then you add on fee for cleaning. Suddenly 29 is $150+. It's absolutely false and deceptive advertising.

Spoke with a representative who checked the van over and told me I was all set and I'd get an emailed receipt. 2 days later I receive an email saying I still have the van.
