Everyone was really nice. The experience was disorganized though. I tried changing the time on your website and it didn't load, though it said it did. There was no end of confusion with where boxes were shipped to be delivered to and picked up from. One of the containers arrived pretty badly damaged. Great price. ðŸ™‚andrew C.

My experience in general was excellent. Communication and timing was very good. My only recommendations would be: 1) bill only one time ( I was billed on 4 separate occasions for the order). 2) Many more hooks should be attached to the walls of the U-Box so that straps may be utilized to add additional security to the box contents by ensuring no content movement occurs.Vaughan D.

My issue is not with the above location my issue is with U-Haul overall. This experience was the worst experience I have dealt with. I will never use U-Haul for anything. Not even moving boxes. From beginning to end this entire process is broken and flawed. Zero accountability, zero communication, people answer calls providing incorrect information. Before that, I was given wrong info on multiple occasions by multiple representatives, treated poorly, and even hung up on! Maria in LA, and Heather in TN both went above and beyond to deliver and pick up my ubox. My box arrived over a week in advance and was able to be delivered much earlier too. I am very happy with this whole process. It was literally the only part of my cross country move where I did not have a problem. Thank you!Krystin D.

I ordered a U-Box to be delivered to one location, picked up for storage, and delivered to the next location. I had scheduled the UBox to be delivered to my next location 3-weeks in advance. Since schedules aren't made until the day before, I wasn't made aware that the delivery was never scheduled and I had to pick up my box. This entire process was completely disjointed and disappointing. I will NEVER recommend this service to ANYONE. In fact, I would strongly discourage it. It feels as if you are operating as two separate entitles. 1-being Uhaul and the other being the delivery company. It seems as if Uhaul and the delivery company do not communicate with each other causing confusion with the customer. Having to create the schedule a day in advance makes no sense and leads to errors and communication issues such as the one I experienced. The only pleasant experience I had was dealing with the actual delivery person that brought my box to the 1st location. She was a gem.Dustin S.
The people here were nice but working with uhaul was a terrible experience. I was told my uboxes would arrive at a location near my home and they arrived at this location - 15 miles from my home. I couldn't rent a truck at this location, so I would have to go to another uhaul first, which, aside from being a waist of time, would also result in me getting charged extra for mileage [which was already a huge charge since, again, this location was 15 miles away from where I was told my boxes would arrive]. This location gave me a very brief period of time to unload my boxes - just a few hours on Saturday, so it took many weekends to do so, and every time I called to request access to my boxes, I would be on hold for half an hour and transferred several times. Every time I spoke to someone, the computer system would always be down for some reason. Also, my rent in this location wound up being twice the rent of my original location [which was a nice little surprise]. In fact, I wound up spending more money through uhaul, then I would with traditional movers. When COVID hit, and Los Angeles went into lock down, we were told our rent would be paused, since there was nothing we could do about picking up our things - turned out by "paused" they meant "delayed" and we were on the hook for something that was out of our control. As for this location, the only thing I can say for it was that the employees were nice, which is better then my original location back in Brooklyn where the employees were incredibly rude. Although I often dealt with employees not wearing masks, or had them around their chins. My overall experience with uhaul was completely terrible and the ubox system didn't make things any more convenient for me and wound up being far more expensive then if I had just hired someone to do this for me. [the cost of shipping them also wound up being almost 3 times what I was originally quoted]. This will be the last time I ever use uhaul. [on a side note - Uhaul needs to do something about it's policy of directing you to a customer support center when you call an individual location. It's beyond frustrating and results in me having to speak to someone who doesn't have any answers for me]. Again, this was an awful experience and the last time I use Uhaul.THOMASP C.

Moving is a stressful event for families. You expect for you items to be shipped and arrive to your new location as promised, especially after paying ontime. A month has gone by and apparently no one from Uhaul knows where my U-BOX IS! Their Customer Service are not helpful and only will only send you to the next person. I wonder how they will feel if they got their person stuff lost and no ones willing to help? hmm... I've wasted countless hours reaching out to them to get information, I mean, it should be the other way around, right? Look, I hardly complain about things, but damn, if you're reading this save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.marissa Y.

The frustration I felt in trying to get hold of someone to schedule my uboxes to be delivered is indescribable. I tried for, quite literally, weeks, to call and talk to someone to schedule the delivery. Either the phone would continue to ring until a message says â€œSomething went wrong...â€ or I would briefly speak with someone before being transferred/hung up on/ or â€œI'll leave them a messageâ€. Nobody ever called me back. This was the most maddening experience I've ever had in my life. I'll never use Uhaul again and I will definitely recommend to others to NOT use it either.Bridget B.
This was a SHOCKINGLY bad experience. I called, emailed, and had a chat conversation all confirming the delivery date. When I called to confirm the arrival time, I was told it was booked as a pick up. After 6+ calls, over an hour on hold, losing my temper and crying on the phone I was reassured that the movers would bring my box. When they showed up, there was no box. Several more calls, more time holding and waiting to be called back, and finally my box arrived, hours late. On Sunday I explicitly asked 'Is there a charge for just leaving the blankets in the box?'. I was confirmed that there was no charge. Monday morning - when I was already at work and could do NOTHING about it - I get a call telling me the blankets need to be folded or I will be charged a fee. Disgraceful. They're not even washed between customers during a global pandemic. On top of that, I submitted a complaint about all of this 3 weeks ago and am STILL WAITING for a response. I would like a full refund for this experience. Every. Single. Penny.Emma W.
There were no furniture pads. The system wanted to charge me for storage and insurance after the delivery was arranged. The moving company arrived and didn't know they had to offload and carry my belongings. Apart from the fact that everything came intact and on time, there was total chaos in each step of the operation. The delivery person for the box in NY was an excellent gentleman who helped me close the box's warped padlock. The moving company also was a star who helped me carry my goods even though his contract was news to him. And all the agents I spoke to were respectful and helpful. Except the lady who couldn't care less about the fact that there were no moving blankets on the day of my move.Hakan T.
From beginning to end this was an incredibly frustrating experience. The UBoxes pick up was scheduled for the wrong day, I was given no information regarding the kind of truck I would need to haul the boxes. Once I got to the facility it took almost two hours to get the boxes hitched to the truck. Nicole LoPresti (International Dept) told me that the UBox I purchased would come with a protective waterproof covering. I was sorely disappointed to discover it arrived with no such cover. She specifically mentioned that the U-Haul branded cover would be removed and would be replaced with a "new green waterproof cover." Since my U-Box was traveling to a tropical island location this was a deciding factor in choosing U-Haul for my shipment. While she was difficult to contact and obtain information from, she was quite pleasant up front...not so much once the sale was made! I definitely would not recommend U-Haul after this experience. Furthermore, I was contacted numerous times by the receiving location asking when they could retrieve the UBox. After the 4th call I spoke to a "manager" who apologized and said he would take care of it. Then, a month later, yesterday, I received an unauthorized charge on my credit card for the rental of the box I purchased. I spent 12 minutes on the phone calling internationally at $4/minute waiting and speaking with someone. VERY frustrating that this process was so complicated, mismanaged by U-Haul and required me to spend significant extra time in managing U-Haul's faulty process. Though initially I believed that this would be the best solution for my international move, I now regret it.Christopher A.
It was difficult to create a plan for u-box shipping. I was unable to schedule my delivery in Los Angeles until my u-box arrived from Cincinnati. By the time the box arrived it was too late to schedule the box for when we needed it to move in. For example, we packed the box on July 29 in Cincinnati and it arrived on August 11 in Los Angeles. We needed the box delivered on August 14, but the earliest day available for delivery on the 17th. Therefore we were without our belongings for a few days despite packing them up nearly three weeks before.Rachelle A.

Your website was a little confusing in trying to track down my container and what number to call. Also I got transferred a bunch of times through the call center, and had to explain that I wanted to pick up my container contents instead of having it delivered a number of times. However, at the pick up location the staff was very nice and helpful, and speedy in getting my container moved so we could empty it and be on our way. Five stars, would definitely recommend!Andrew C.
Every one I spoke to over the phone was kind, but most could not help me with my questions. I called to ask when I would receive a refund for my box arriving late and they did not know. I also asked when the 1 month free promotional would be applied to my bill and they transferred me to someone else. This was the worst experience of moving I've ever had. First off, I scheduled my initial delivery 1 month in advance. They said the scheduling department would call 24-48 hours before drop off. I never received a call, and after spending an hour on hold, I call 24 hours before my expected delivery. They said it's still too early to schedule. It was an absolute headache getting it delivered. I ordered 2 boxes and only used 1. I was told I would only be charged for 1. Initially, they charged me for both and I had to spend hours getting ahold of the right person to get the refund for the 2nd one. Then, I schedule 3 weeks in advance to have my pod delivered to my new address. Same issue with the scheduling department reaching out the night before, i'm told my delivery window is 9-1. At 12:30 I call saying I haven't heard from my driver, they assure me she's on her way. At 2 pm I call, same response. At 3:30 I call, (after paying for moving for 2.5 hours to sit around), and they say that my box is â€œlost.â€ I talk to the head of the location who claims he'll go in on his day off to find it and personally deliver it. Finally at 6 PM he says he found it and that he WONT deliver that night, so now I paid 2 movers for 5 hours for nothing. He PROMISES it'll be delivered the following day between 10-11 AM. Sure enough, at 10:30 he says it's still â€œLostâ€ and not at the location he thought. Finally they did find it and I received it later that day. What a headache and awful experience. Do NOT recommend. After everything I went through, customer service said the best they could do was $99 off. Yeah, that doesn't cover movers just sitting around and a night at a hotel since I didn't have my bed...Justin B.
My u-box delivery arrived 6 hours past my delivery window and no one called to update me. When I called to ask where my delivery was, I kept being redirected to other departments in circles all day long with no one seemingly able to help me. It was definitely a frustrating experience. Although, I was pleased to see that all of my belongings arrived safely without any damages. The driver who dropped off my u-box was very kind and helpful, so I appreciated her being part of the process.Samantha B.

Was not picked up from the drop off location on day planned nor was I contacted. Used MovingHelp to load the ubox and they didn't fully follow procedures. They packed but did not give me a key to the box. Cost me another $50 on arrival to break the lock which was not my error and not explained by Uhaul dispatcher when I asked about how all works.Kevin B.
I still have not gotten my things it's been three weeks and no one will give me an exact location on where they are and when they will arrive at my home. Everyday I call three times a day and each time get a different story. Now it's to the point they literally hang up. I will NEVER EVER EVER use Uhaul again and I will be sure to let others know how terrible my experience has been. The only good part was my time in LA and the customer rep Neisha in the LA warehouse that's it. But everything else has been horrible.Ashley G.
The designated address that was given to me in the contract was not the same address that the u-box ended up in. The website was also hard to use because I couldn't load my order online to see the total payments that I need to make. 1. My box arrived damaged and I was unable to put the discus wordlock that I had purchased from uhaul on my box. In fact I went back to uhaul 3 more times and each lock a purchased with smaller mm none of them fit to lock the ubox. When I called to let them know they told me there was nothing they could do but bring me a new ubox the next day meaning I would have to unpack and repack. 2. They left the ubox on the trailer hitch in front of my house. Basically anyone who had a hitch on the back of their truck could have just taken my box right off the street. 3. Every time I called and asked to speak to a manager about the situation, no one was able to help me. The manager did not get back to me until DAYS later and that is just extremely unprofessional. You literally have all of someone's possessions in a box and the blatant disregard and lack of care for that is just completely unacceptable. 4. My box was very late. I will never use uhaul again for anything. Customer service is just beyond terrible. It's been 3 days since my ubox was FINALLY delivered and as of yet I still have not received my refund for the wordlock I was unable to use or the $50/day reimbursement for my box being annoyingly late.Simone W.

The original detail on the order is to have delivery made on the 23rd of June. The agent called me and expressed a delay which moved to 24th. I understand sometimes things happen. However, it got postponed to 25 and then 26th. As I have essential items for living stored in the box, I was forced to buy many of those items all over again. You guys need to tell either insist customers use your lock on the U-Box, or tell your staff not to say "Your lock doesn't look right, your U-box might get broken into" as they're about to drive away with it. Stress / anxiety that could have been avoided with better communication.John H.

The biggest improvement would be to keep the delivery city for the UBox the same as the one we originally agreed upon. Changing delivery cities in the middle of a move is a pretty crappy business practice. Especially delivering to a city that is over 100 miles away. That sucked.
