Thomas helps us. He was wonderful. Nice. Friendly. Helpful. Your app and email FAILED me. Your instructions are very LACKING. At 6am I was UNABLE to use the moble pick up. I had to go back to the store UNDER THREAT OF MY RESERVATION/RENTAK BEING CANAND NOT AVAILABLE! There was no button that said start as instructed. It was very frustrating and upsetting. Again UHaul cost me more money than necessary because of the inconvenience of your website and your system on the whole.DARCIE M.

Your web reservation system and centralized switch board are terrible. I was told by your centralized switchboard that the equipment I needed wasn't available at this location, I took a drive, low and behold it was available. All equipment was available as promised. After receiving the keys to my 26' truck, I had to make multiple requests with the one desk agent to receive the complete supply of mover's blankets I had reserved. I waited in line for 45 minutes to pick up my scheduled truck. Many people were scheduled at the same time to pick their schedule vehicle's and we're in the same line. One person taking care of the line that's why took so long. I called customer service to try to reschedule my truck and for an earlier time for drop off was transferred and waited on the phone for 30 minute's. Was not a good experience for me... Maybe it's just the location because I have had Uhaul great experience elsewhere. Maybe it's just lack of personnel at this location. I don't know!!EMLIEN R.

I reserved a self pick up moving truck for 6:30am. I received confirmation for this and followed the instructions for pick up at 615am the day reserved only to find out I had to wait until the location opened at 9am. I called customer service and waited on hold for 30 minutes only to find that the next available truck that early was 30 minutes away. The customer service representative told me I would receive a $50 credit and never did. I ended up having to wait until 9am for the store to open. This was an incredible inconvenience and set me day back almost 3 hours. I did not end up getting my truck until 930am. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in u hual and this location.Carly B.

Check in time is abysmal. 4 people in line. I counted 5 UHaul employees on site. Only 1 was working the check in counter. Location is consistently bad with service wait time. I tried 2 different providers first, but they didn't have the vehicle I wanted. I dreaded having to go here. They didn't disappoint me. They were as bad as ever.CHRISTOPHER B.

* I made a reservation for a 9-day trailer rental on 21JUN via the 800 number * I called 1 wk later to confirm availability and was told the trailer was no long available; after 25 mins on the phone, the agent confirmed a trailer was available at a UHaul center 1 hr away from my home * I called 3 wks ago to confirm availability; they said the reservation was in place and I should have no concerns * I called 2 wks ago - again - to confirm availability; they said the reservation was in place and I should have no concerns * I showed up at the facility at the allotted time to pick up the trailer and was told NO TRAILER WAS AVAILABLE. Nine family members were packed and ready to leave for vacation and I was told there was NO TRAILER AVAILABLE * After 1+ hrs at the facility - and begging and pleading with the agent - I was provided a trailer that was slated for repair (the door would not open / close properly) since there was no trailer available within driving distance * Each time I call, I explain to the agent I have been renting a trailer for 15+ years for a family vacation and - without exception - every time I show up to pick up the trailer, there is some problem and / or I am told none are availableMichael M.

The employee working that morning did not know where the truck I rented was, finally found almost behind the building down the side of the building. Had difficulty starting the vehicle as I could not turn the key, had to find the sweet spot by manipulating the shift lever in order to turn ignition key. This was pointed out to the employee when I returned the truck and upon checking the truck ID number, his response was "yea, we have had a problem with that one". In other words, I was given a vehicle with a known problem and could have potentially left me stranded. Goodbye U-Haul, hello PenskeMARK M.
The young lady that waited on me on Friday August 13, 2021 at 8:20 am was one of the most unpleasant employees I have ever come across. She was eating in her office and genuinely was upset that I came into the store to pick up my rental truck. She never said hello or good bye, yet alone thank for the business. The general manager, Tom, does not understand good customer service!!!! I reserved a truck, moving pads and an appliance dolly a week before I needed it. Two days before the move I called to see about adding an appliance dolly, because the website was not working and was told I could do that when I picked up the truck. When we arrived we were told there weren't any. We were also not given an appliance dolly, which we did reserve. The manager did not apologize. He just said it wasn't on the order. Obviously the employees are not being trained properly. When we returned, we followed the instructions on the sign and waited by the truck and no one came out. When we finally went inside after 10 minutes we were told that they just needed the keys. We were also not told that a cell phone number should be provided and gave a landline so we didn't get text messages.CRISTIN M.

My truck was order to be picked up at 8:00, I arrived at 7:45. There was one person there to help the next person arrived at 8:00 , although he was friendly and courteous by the time I got our other was 8:15. No one walked me to truck for inspection had to find truck on my own. They told me there was a half a tank of gas which it was not it was below I put on around 20miles put in 5 gallons of gas to bring it back to the level the of which I received it at then they char6ne $38.00 for fuel. Not happy if I not reimbursed I will never recommend or use you again. JimJAMES M.

Tia did everything she could for me, no issues with her. There was apparently no key for my vehicle as the previous customer did not leave it where they said it was, and they were going to come back while I waited. I was amazed that there is not a spare key. It was explained to me that it might confuse an employee into thinking a truck was there if they saw a key. Really? So it's idiot proofed for employees, but not customers who don't know what to do with the key. Could an employee not look and recognize that TWO keys hanging would mean the truck is there if a spare key was made available? It's too simple, maybe there's another reason not to have a spare. Anyway, after some waiting, the key was eventually found. Also, in all my past experiences, I have received the truck with a full tank of gas. Mine had 3/4 of a tank. I called and Tia explained that's how it's done and my tank was 7/8 full. It absolutely was not. It was 3/4. I offered to send a photo of the odometer and gas gauge after some back and forth, so Tia said she'd change it to 3/4. Seems odd that I don't get a full tank and then return it full, but if I hadn't looked at the gauge I certainly would have gotten charged for not returning with 7/8. Seems to me to be a poor system. Anyway, everything worked out, but a lot of unnecessary gyrations along the way.CHAD A.

Very friendly, helpful employees. Truck was missing the part intended to prevent the lock handle on roll-up back door from getting wedged (Stuck) when door is raised. Not an issue after employee got the door unstuck. I was told that plenty of furniture blankets were available, but only when I picked up the truck did I learn there was a fee for blankets if we used them or the hand truck. Fortunately we had brought enough of our own blankets.LORELI B.
The staff here were very friendly, helpful and professional. Uhaul's communication via text and in person was excellent. The store is always neat and organized. The truck that I rented was ready, was clean, operated well and had clear instructions posted inside the cab. The after-hours drop off instructions were clear and easy to follow. August 1, 2021 was a very busy day and many people booked trucks for this day. Only one person was checking in reservations and this person seemed very fed up with the U-Haul computer system. I was charged for my first month of storage with my unit, when my UHaul truck rental was supposed to come with a free month of storage rental. I originally arrived to the Colmar Storage with a reservation, but I could not access the unit, and it was still listed as TBD. I called UHaul and was told to book a second storage reservation so that I could gain access, and that the reservations would be combined to give this unit as my free unit. The other unit was cancelled, however, the new unit was never moved to be my free monthly unit. This process took me 2 1/2 sitting outside the storage gate at UHaul in Colmar.Luke H. | Online Move In
