However, I am annoyed that they tried to sneak this charge into my receipt, and that I had to take the effort to get it reimbursed.

Allan jThey charged me $66 for fuel. Saying the fuel was lower than when I picked it up. I checked the fuel gauge before it was returned and the needle hadnt moved. They claimed it was 8 gallons less. The distance I traveled, there is absolutely no way that is true. They also overcharged me on mileage. I got exact distances between all 3 locations. At .79 cents a mile, it comes up to $10.90. They charged me just under $40. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be using uhaul again and I will absolutely not recommend them to anyone.

Upon entry of the facility to return the truck the male clerk started making sounds as if he was mimicking middle eastern language after reading my name and laughing. Little does he know that I am not from overseas and my name was legally changed in 2012, not that give him the right to be racist towards ANYONE. I will not be recommending or using that facility again and I will use word of mouth to spread the word of my treatment and why. That should slow business pretty good for Cincinnati seeing the my Muslim brothers and sisters are large in the area. SHAME ON UHAUL - NO ETIQUETTE
Fahtima AI noticed customers returning and picking up trucks. When I received my rental I was given the most damaged and beat up truck and the heat did not work very good. I am thinking this was done because I live on the Westside of town.

I arrived at 9 AM on January 1st, 2024, to pick up key for 20 foot Truck, and key was not available. This was at 1340 East 3rd St, Dayton OH. I was on a schedule and the quick fix was to take the 26 foot truck for same price. I thought that was fair.

The uhaul located at 1340 EThird St in Daytime n , Oh was by far the worst as far as the employees, manager was rude and unprofessional, when I rented a truck to empty out my storage unit that’s when I discovered all my property was ruined and mildewed and moldy but they closed so had to take it and called the next morning to get screamed at by a manager when asked what. Should do and how to note everything before trying cl rental was due co.the facility and storage areas was filthy. There was blood in the restrooms, i let them know but because they were closing for the day it wasn’t a priority. There was people living inside and walking around like they owned it and helped me more than the employees. I would never refere how do you spell referring her rooma friend at this location. I would also never tell anybody ne my experience there either . I just hope things change for the better of n the future .

Then these guys with rolling baskets leaving the storage area with odds and ends. They are getting into the storage doors, using what looks like a room stick from the ceiling and poking holes in each unit to peek inside and see if there is anything worth stealing, then they get into the units and take what they want. We watched them leave. Our unit had a hole. We complained, but didn't receive a phone call back. When the new glass doors was installed they should have been tested for flaws. That is unacceptable, but dont let me be a day late paying rent. 😞

I chose to throw out many of my items that held sentimental and monetary value and it was terrible to clean up the mess that was made in my unit. The security scanner sometimes didn't work on my building, and I had to use the other one. No way of knowing without asking. No mice presence for 2 years, until the very end (maybe the trap got old?) Other than that, no issues.

My original request was for a larger unit, after paying for the larger unit walking to the back this unit was already reserved. We walked back to the front, he asked about refunding me the difference since I now needed to downsize. The manager on duty told him, "not to worry about it, I would receive a credit the next month." The day I signed up for the unit I explained I would only need the unit for two weeks, I was informed U-haul doesn't prorate so I would be paying for the whole month. Fine no problem I needed the unit. I walk in on Friday July 31, 2020 to inquire about my refund and inform the staff I was moving out. I was then again informed the funds would be refunded to my card on file. I don't question anything the same information was provide by two different employees. Fast forward to an email telling me I was going to be charged a late fee. I make my way to the U-haul store on E. Third street to inquire about the late and why my money wasn't refunded to my account. I found out the overpayment was applied to the next month, even though I moved out and informed the staff the morning of. When the manager on dust asked me how he could help, my request was simple make sure your team understands and is aware of the information they are passing along to customers. As a customer it's not my job to know your system or how it works, it's also not my jo to police units prior to paying for it. Add the system been properly updated I would have been informed prior to paying for the unavailable unit. Easy fix I would have been offered the small unit and charged for proper amount. Customer service is key for me, I had not problem paying for the unit, I do have a problem not getting what I paid for the bigger unit. Best regards, Kia A. Richardson

Crystal H | First ImpressionsThank you for the opportunity to express our opinion and share our experience with our rental unit. We had a very bad experience and would like to offer the feedback. The day after my daughter and I rented the storage unit, we returned to drop off some more items. We walked into the storage unit, and to say the place was an incredible mess is a giant understatement. We have a video clip of what we came across upon entering the storage unit, as it appeared everything was grossly vandalized. The isles were so cluttered with miscellaneous items and broken glass that we could not get through to get at our unit. We were slightly frightened as we did not know if there were perpetrators of any sort still in the building, and no other customers or staff were around to assist if any danger presented itself. We then left the building to go to the office and report what we found, and a staff member came to check it out. He was very nice and offered to clear a path but it was obvious this was going to take quite a long while. We were not able to wait for this as we were heading out of town, so we needed to send our items with a friend as they did not fit in our vehicle (the reason we rented the storage unit in the first place). We now need to make arrangements to drive to Chicago (3 hours away) to pick these items up. We tried to call the GM of the Dayton location, AJ Ross, on 3 separate occasions but did not receive a call back. He did finally respond to an email and simply stated, it was an auction and things got out-of-hand. He did not offer anything in the form of compensation for this despite being asked. He just did not reply any further. Please feel free to call for any additional information or clarification. We would share the video of what we witnessed as well. We will also be taking this to a higher level as this is really quite unacceptable service.

It was so hot out and we had to move our stuff more than once because we were confused about which door to go into. Overall, it was overly confusing. I think that someone should go with you to your unit instead of you trying to figure it out based off of confusing directions. Now that I know how to get in, I’m sure it won’t be a problem. Just took way way way longer than needed to find our unit in the first place.

Upon filing my claim was told that insurance does not cover bedbugs. I lost everything! This location has very rude workers.
