Truck had undocumented damage and fuel level was not 1/2 tank. Moving day is stressful enough. Having to take 30 extra minutes to document damaged and correct fuel levels is an added stress and an impediment to getting the day started.William H.

First U-haul was unavailable for our confirmed pick up. Over two hours to get one. The u-haul was very dirty. The tire pressure light was on, as well as the engine light. We told them before we left and the owner said there was nothing they could do about it.Cassidy J.

They didn't have one item I rented from the online site, but were able to direct me to another location that did have it. But why the online order allowed me to rent an item they didn't have was a bit ...annoying.RICHARD J.
I know it's out of your control but the 15 ft truck I rented wasn't returned in time so instead I was given a 26ft truck. I didn't have to pay more but I was really stressed out driving such a large truck from FL to CO, plus it probably cost more in gas than the 15ft would have. The large truck is a little overwhelming if you're not prepared for it, we couldn't get it into our storage facility to load it so we had to make multiple trips to it via a pick up which took a lot of timeJennifer C.

I've been to this location a few times. Usually have to wait but this time I was helped when I walked in. The computer had 2 dozen blankets on the order. I only needed 1. I didn't know until the contract was completed and ready to drive off with the trailer. I was told the contract would have to be redone. I could leave without them and explain to the drop off location the problem and get a refund. The drop off location was understanding but told me I could be charged $10 per blanket for not returning the dozen I didn't take.William G.

The tail light was not on, therefore, it came down as I was on the road in Flomaton, AL. Called Uhaul roadside assistance and made it to GA, before my tire got a flat on my vehicle, call Uhaul roadside assistance and the mechanic rivet gun to hold the tail light in place. Original location was 2801 S McKenzie St in Foley AL 36535. Regional office had to move me to the Pace blvd location in Pensacola FL due to NOT having any trucks after it was reserved 2 months in advance. To paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld, I don't think you understand the purpose of a reservation. Extremely frustrating that no one contacted me; I had to call uhaul. As for the Pace location, It's challenging to get into and out of but there's nothing you can do about it.Alicia L.

The first location didn't have my reservation and it was in a kids day care facility with no signs posted. My original requested site was changed without my consent, I had to go to three other locations before I finally got my reservation . I initially ordered a 15' truck and was almost given a 20' truck. The truck I was given was on E completely, 9miles until empty is what the truck read. I had to pay $75 to fill the truck to get to my loading destination and to my drop off point. I was unable to complete my pre pick up checks online because the gas level was so low I couldn't take a picture of the mileage. I did not enjoy my experience.Ariel F.

My reservation was canclled by UHAUL and I was forced to rent from a location not even closee to my home. This cost me more money than I had planned to spend. Its unprofessional to not inform someone that their reservation was cancelled. Hell bent to send us a cancellation if we dont show, while charging us, but leave us hanging otherwise. We booked the truck and the 1 way plane tickets months in advance. When we got there they did not have a truck for us because they had over booked their reservations. The 2 workers had said they would call us back with information but they had left for the day when we called back to check on the status of a truck. They knew we flew in from Texas and had no means of transportation except for the uhaul to get back. I would not send my dog to do business at this location! The customer service line was useless too. They said there was a truck in Mobile for us. I guess they expected us to walk there to get it. They knew of our situation as well. They did nothing to help us. The only one that even tried to help us was the distict manager. He was not able to get us a truck until the next day. We had to drive all night to Texas to make sure we made it home in time to get to work. He did at least try to the best he could.MARK C.

The service I received was outstanding. I had the pleasure of having the Centers General Manager process my return. Dealing with the public can be challenging at times. She was assisting another customer while I was waiting my turn. The customer was rude and his voice was very loud. The manager was calm and soft spoken throughout the exchange It worked because the customer calmed down and let her resolve his issue without incident. I could tell she had training in how to provide excellent customer service because that's what she did. I also received a friendly welcome and she apologized for the previous customer. I told her that she didn't have to apologize for his behavior. She smiled and said â€œ I just provide the best service that I can.â€ This is one of the signs of a exemplary leader. Drop off location has easy access to drop off and return equipment. Howard immediately came out to assist and talked with us. I rented a truck 7/9/2021 from 9am to 3pm. Picked up and returned on the same day. The price for the truck stated $39.95. I purchased the protection package for $17 more. I was asked how many miles expected. I told him i was going to the land fill and back. I said 12 miles. He corrected me and said might be about 20 miles, but don't worry its a same day return. If you dont drive the estimated miles that will be adjusted when returned. He charged my credit card $79.xx when i left. When i returned the truck the same day at 3pm the bill was $30 dollars higher! NOW my $40 rental has gone UP to $106. That didn't enclude the money i spent on gas. I feel that you/uhaul took advantage of me. My mission is to copy/paste this review on redit then go to twitter and DM paste this review U-HAUL directly. Uhaul_cares, uhaul's twitter account follows 57 accounts. I plan to DM them also. I reserved a unit days prior to a move when we got to town I called and talked to Kristen. Then when I arrived a super nice guy got me all hooked up. This is my first time using a storage unit so he even walked me over showed me how to use the check in machine and even let me borrow a lock till I got back with mine. Staff was not knowledgeable concerning the insurance requirements (type, coverage). After providing proof of insurance via a 3rd party, the staff was unhelpful In resolving an internal I haul system conflict requirement that required information not pertinent to the insuring organizations. Instead of resolving the problem through a creatively solution, the staff pushes responsibility back on the customer to remedy an issue that affects uhual. I find issue that requirements such as the insurance and specific lock requirements to be highly irregular for uhual rentals I’ve under gone in the past. This information is not disclosed during reservations and seems to serve as a snare trap for customers already under going a stressful activity with relocating.Seth M. | First Impressions
There was only employee working on a busy Saturday morning. The employee maintained his customer service with an exceptional attitude. However, the waiting in line period was too long. I was there at 820am for a reserve pickup 830am but I was not seen until 900am. There were 7 customers waiting behind me and 3 in front with 1 employee on the site. That's unsatisfactory.
