Our box arrived late to our initial location. There were supposed to be more pads in the box but we only received half of the pads that were supposed to be provided. The driver dropping the cube off at our initial location did not have wheel chalks so our box could not be loaded as it was on a slight hail until the driver returned 3 hours later to deliver the chalks for safety. The driver dropping off our cube at our move address in Ohio did not contact me until the day the box was to be delivered to set up a time to deliver the box.

Return was easy, but after talking to them about the furniture dolly they were unable to help us, since their dolly rental costed 7 dollars instead of 10. I thought this was strange and that it was strange that they couldn't help us even though I had a receipt (Although it had been printed incorrectly at the location.)

Very pleased with my experience renting a 20' truck yesterday. U-Haul made the pleasant smooth and easy; only challenge was parallel parking a 20 foot truck on busy city streets, but that's on me! :)

I highly advise against this service. The boxes arrived two weeks after the guaranteed date, with no notification. A friend had a similar delay with another location. Had I not called to confirm the delivery, I would not have known that they changed the “guaranteed” date. I was initially blamed, as the system showed the boxes were picked up from my house nine days after the actual date (which I witnessed with my own eyes). I spoke to over ten national and regional representatives, spent four hours on the phone, was dropped my national representatives before understanding what had gone wrong: the system had apparently been down FOR MORE THAN A WEEK and they hadn’t logged any boxes during that time, therefore the boxes hadn’t been picked up by the driver from the local Uhaul location. The manager was initially understanding and offered a small refund. In talking to other office managers, however, they would have offered a full refund. When it came time to be reimbursed, the manager changed the promised reimbursement amount (that I had had him confirm in writing), and must have been having a bad day because the tone of the message implied that I should be grateful for the small reimbursement. At this point, I was sick of fighting, took my money, and let it be. I’ve used and promoted UHaul many, many times in the past five years but this was too much of a ridiculous situation for me to return. If you use this service, give yourself a two week cushion and make sure to constantly call throughout the process.

I wouldn't recommend it bc (1) my unit got broken into & (2) it's in a really bad area. Lots of homeless and drug addicts around. I don't feel safe there. Staff handled the break-in well.
