Your lack of ability to make reservations are lacking. When you make a reservation you make sure to have everything available for your customers. I have been with you for two years...walking into my storage area and finding homeless people inside and locking themselves in the bathrooms. After speaking to your staff nothing was done about it. You employes in fact just shrug their shoulders when I told him. When I paid for a storage unit, climate control and yet I walk in and its about 90 degrees. Is that temperature controlled? I have been a business owner for years and I have NEVER dealt with such unorganized people in my life. You as a company need to train your employees from completion of reservation, and completeness of contract. Lack of security in "locked storage" and your employees are showing a lack of business customer service. I will be sharing my thoughts about this and will never recommend you. I will not contact the storage unit as this is an issue with uhaul in itself. I wish you luck in staying in this business. Had an online reservation that got sold out from under me with no notice. When I made another reservation, it was for a 10x15 unit. Was notified day of the reservation (while my truck was en route) that all they had available was a 10x10. Staff was exceptionally rude and disrespectful, to the point of laughing at us over the phone. Manager was unrepentant and even threatened to cancel our reservation and contract when we contacted him. If we had another option, we would have gladly gone elsewhere, but we were already out 700 dollars on the truck and crew we hired. Very poor service. With specific regards to the online return, customers should be able to verify that you received the equipment without paying $20. This is your equipment, and customers should be able to have peace of mind - especially when theft is not covered by the insurance. Any comfort that I could have had with the trailer from Georgia to Arizona, I had to pay for. For that reason, I would not recommend the company to anyone looking to move.ABBY G.

I wanted to communicate some failures of the rental 29587528. Once the truck was filled and we prepared to leave the truck would not start due to a dead battery. 1) the first option for service should be a telephone number, not a website. Yes smartphones are pervasive but using a website on a mobile device when stuck with a broken rental vehicle is awkward and stressful under those conditions. 2) a confirmation needs to be sent immediately stating when the customer will hear from uhaul or the dispatched mechanic. 3) uhaul should check the status with the dispatched mechanic company before asking g the customer for a status. Then uhaul should update the customer. I was significantly delayed with most of that time spent in the dark without meaningful contact or updates. I understand that it may take longer than hoped but communication is crucial when stranded by a UHaul failure. 4) After the roadside assistant jumped the battery, I was left not knowing if it would start again after getting to my destination. The mechanic simply stated "leave it running". Unloading a running truck is not the greatest idea but I did not want another failure. The battery should have been exchanged outright so I would not be worried about additional failure. I have used Uhaul many times over the past several years and this experience was very disappointing. I wanted to make you aware of the communication and process gaps that I observed and would like to get some form of acknowledgement and possible remediation for the equipment failure and stressful uhaul experience. The individuals who performed the pick up and drop off of the containers were amazing and friendly. The people who I had to deal with at the downtown Tucson location were always looking for ways to avoid helping customers and seemed as though they were looking to get out of doing work or simply do the bare minimum to get through the day. Making sure staff goes through training about customer service would be helpful for them. They unfortunately became counter productive (no just unproductive) towards customers at the end of the day when they were trying to leave or provide services before posted hours. I had a bad experience and didn't get any satisfaction after bringing it to attention of staff member on a call I made: Tank was at just over 1/4 tank full when I received pickup. In my attempt to refill it to same level I stopped pump when it reached that level. When I saw tank gauge again it had continued and stopped at just over 1/2 tank. The Uhaul staff seemed sincerely concerned but informed me of chart on the contract that illustrates how many gallons to replace based on fuel gauge. And the refunds were discontinued this year. Since it's apparently not a policy at Uhaul to start with a full tank , I would feel better served to receive the curtesy of pointing out that little chart and how it works. Otherwise I can't rule out that it's a scheme to cheatâ€”and I feel cheated.BENJAMIN M.

I used 7 U-Boxes for a move where I had a multi-month gap between moving out of my old place and moving into my new one. The system worked beautifully. I packed up into the U-Boxes over the course of several weeks, and when I moved in, I was able to collect and unpack my U-Boxes over the course of several months. The staff at the downtown U-Haul was great. They were always friendly and very helpful. I really appreciate their help in getting me through this move. Thank you downtown U-Haul! The original pick up place was 22nd St & Alvernon. I went in 3 days before hand and had them place in account and I definitely wanted a 10ft, not a 15 ft. like what happened last year. So he put it in the notes and no one called to tell me there wasn't any 10ft at that location. The movers were scheduled to come shortly. The manager switched it to the one on the Freeway and they were able to take care of me but the inside of the van was filthy. the trailer was bent and hard to work with to get in the car.ANNE R.

Trouble with delivery dates. Actually, they were delivered sooner than promised, but had to wait. Also had a split pick up and a split delivery. It worked out though. Biggest 2 problems. No one answers the phone for 30 or more minutes. Local office was fantastic. It must be the national number. You text messages and website are useless. Did not correlate with my phone calls. Was so great to arrive & took us but 10 minutes to get everything handled so that we could drop off the 1 way trailer & start unloading. Well he gave me two extra days, which was very nice, though, the cab had the strong smell of a recent smoker. What I thought was dust on the dash was actually a thun layer of ash. The cab was obviously not cleaned or wiped down after the previous use. There was even a small dog turd under the passenger seat which I found when I was cleaning out the cab for drop off. I also found out that the driver side windshield wiper was not functional and could not see out the window when it started pooring down raining. I bought a new wiper blade at my own cost plus labor. The lady in Bristol I dropped the truck off at was great. So there's at least that.Andy L.

You have very friendly staff and then you have very unfriendly staff. One staff member will offer a special or discount for purchasing services and then another will deny such offers exist. The message is mixed and unprofessional. I would have kept renting my unit “empty” just to put excess stuff. There are never enough carts available. Motion sensors for lighting aren't positioned correctly. Time for lighting to stay on is too short. Lights keep going out when working in locker. Manager "Jenna" treats customers as if they are an inconvenience for her. She is also disrespectful to the other employees. ("Scolding" them in front of customers. Appearing irritated for when having to help them.) I have used Uhaul for moving and Storage for all my storage and moving needs and have never negative experiences like I've had here. Horrible customer service from the managers at this location. I was treated very poorly and they made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time i had a storage unit with them. They literally cut our visiting hours for no real good reason. I've had other storage units with uhual at other locations and had no issues being at my storage for long hours which i had 24 hours access at the other location. There were other customers at that downtown facility that would stay long hours and even sleep there too. I just feel the managers were profiling us. I've never done anything to them for how they treated us. Im writing this cuz other customers should know how bad this facility is. I used for facility for about five months. I asked for automatic debit which took two months to get right. I was sent late letters which required me to call on and wait. On the third month I received a vm stating I had to remove my lock if I wanted to vacate. I didn’t request to vacate, the manager for the locker number wrong. I called and got a rude employee who said he could not note my account and it was personal between me and the manager who would not be in for two days. I vacated the locker on December 30 and advised the office. They didn’t tell me I would have to pay for la lock because I left a small bag of trash in it. I had paid a month in advance and was going to get trash next day. There are no trash cans on premises. I would have remove small container if I knew I would charges for lock. The place is amazing during day time hours but be aware when the sun settles, you’ll notice how heavy the homeless population is in the surrounding area. Just be aware it’s not a safe area and you’ll notice every once in a while someone will break a door to access the customers bathroom. You will see people high off drugs sitting around the perimeter (a sight that is becoming common in Tucson) as the area is not fenced off as one would think. I would definitely spend my money elsewhere next time at a secure location where I’ll know I can access my belongings at anytime while not be hyper vigilant due to the transient people who hang around the area. For the most part the storage facility was kept clean however we ran into a few situations where that was not the case. But we realized that there are no trash cans offered on the premises. Also during COVID it became very uncomfortable to go to our storage unit as many people including staff members do not wear face masks. I’m immune suppressed so this is a huge violation both in the moral sense as well as national health. This really rushed my husband & I to get out of there faster then we had planned but well worth it in the end for our safety. I had a great experience with this storage facility until covid hit. The facility does not enforce wearing masks by customers or employees. I had to ask an employee to wear a mask and then he put it on with his nose sticking out, which does nothing for safety!
