The rental boxes were not clean..they had labels on the top from previous renter and debris inside. They should of been sanitized or cleaned. I called and spoke with an associate regarding this, he said he would message the manager and that someone would get back to me, but no one ever did.

There was an employee who was cursing and saying horrible things right in front of the customers it made me feel very uneasy the staff at the El Cajon location is rude, vulgar and I personally would never ever go back there again nor would I refer anyone to that location steer clear this place is terrible

Uhaul it's very useful and handy, the problem is the price I rent the car only for 2 hours 20 miles total for 50 $ That's too much.

The first trailer I received had faulty surge brakes. I returned it and it was swapped without any hassle. Kudos to the team there. What concerns me is that the trailer was not inspected and placed back in the yard to rent again without looking into the brakes. Big safety red flag for U haul.

I hate uhual now given my last experience. I was moving so I like to be ready. I made my reservation a week early to be picked up from one location and dropped off at another. No extra charge at all. And next thing I knew I was charged twice and when I called to ask why. I kept getting the run around and somebody would call me. Did I ever receive a call ? No!!!!!! To this day I haven't received an email nor a call and every time I call back, they tell me the same thing , wait for a manager to call and still haven't received anything

I made a reservation and the reservation stated it was possible to drop off uhaul at another location. Cashier stated I couldn't so I had no choice due to the time crunch I was on and in addition to this the cashier was so quick that it was almost like he didn't care we were unsatisfied. Work on customer service and take out the headphone while in front of customer

The experience i had was i was very careful not to used the hand truck on my own have 2 when i return the truck right away a guy opens up the back gate untie the hand truck and telling the other guy to charge me for this i said no i never used words going by he decided not to charge me but it was an issue

I was not aware that you charge for mileage. I paid $110 for the truck and put $70+ in the gas tamk. When I got the truck the girl asked me how many miles I was going well I told her like 30 miles but that was back and forth about 4-5 times. She didnt make me aware that I was being charged per mile. Now I still owe you guys $172 I could've rented a car or a bigger truck at enterprise for what you people charged me. I will never rent from you again and I will make sure this goes on Yelp and I will tell all my friends that you guys are a rip off and send them somewhere else. Thanks for nothing

Next time wash vehicles so you can visibly see out of the windshield & see all the scratches b4 renting it out. Especially because of Covid-19 the vehicle should have been sanitized. My wife was furious and refuse to ride inside the cargo van. This was not a great experience. I will not recommend anyone to continue to do business with this establishment.

These guys were outstanding. They really stepped up to the plate and knocked this one outta the park. Kendall who is at the Miramar location is extremely experienced with Luxury class vehicles and was able to correct a very minor problem in no time at all.

Vehicle broke down after driving less than 4 miles. Could not repair or give another truck. Had employee stranded for 6 hours, lost $200 in in payroll roll, had product that we could not use in the truck, waited for 2 tow trucks, and did not get compensated for all of this inconvenience. Very disappointed as this location only credited the current partial day rental . I have rented vehicles for more than 30 days from this location and would have expected them to value my business more than this ??????

I should have done a safety check before leaving the yard. One tire was cupped and I believe it had a nail in the tire. Had to require a on road service call to replace passenger side tire. I truly believe that we were blessed by not having a tire failure in the middle of nowhere.

the storage rooms are not lit and there is no electricity in them But I understand you have reasons for doing that I had a few problems with access card as it stopped working But I guess the cause was my cell phone or some other demagnetizing source. Overall a great experience and great to be close to the best sourse of rental trucks!!! thank you

AWESOME storage and customer service. Just wouldn't recommend, because if the area. Those sleeping outside, homelessness and those trying to get inside. Due to the homelessness and since it's not gated, I decided to leave to another place like Public Storage. You have amazing prices and good storage customer service, Just not as safe for customers at this location. My wife could not come by after work or when it gets closer to the evening. Even during the day there were homeless people in the area trying to get into the place without a key when the doors slide open.

I honestly dreaded the whole part of getting it set up and all the admin fun. I was literally pleasantly surprised at how quick it went and the customer service provided. My expectations were exceeded tremendously. I have been in other facilities and it felt like the pain of going to the DMV. Not here. A great helpful staff that honestly made this as painless as possible. Great team.

I am so grateful to UHaul (El Cajon, CA). During the pandemic I was without work and thought I had lost everything in my storage due to not being able to pay the monthly fee. I got so behind that I just assumed my things were already auctioned off. Instead, we were offered the deal of a lifetime, pay $100 and we could empty our storage. I was almost $900 in the hole and they just wrote the rest off. I couldn't believe it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

It was super easy to access our pods. The only reason for the average rating is because one of the pods’ lock broke and it was obvious that it opened up and stuff had to be put back inside.

The door was open to walk in almost every time I went to my unit. The equipment I had to use to access my unit was in poor condition, stairs would barely lock down. Rats & bugs. I DIDN’T FEEL SAFE.
