Very Important>>>>>>The Walnut location was our third pickup location to obtain a 5 x 8 Trailer. The first Plano Location did not find our resevervation and had no trailers. When attempting to pick up a reserved trailer at the Large Uhaul in East Plano, a very rude woman hammered on my car window and shouted "move". Being partially in a service lane and there for pickup,I refused until my wife had secured help. I was not obstructing Traffic. And there was room for a truck to pass. Admittedly I was not in a good mood, it was the end of the day and miffed by the previous experience. Then the rude woman said We would not get our rental until I moved. Inside I asked for the store manager and she spoke in a kind pleasant way that she was the manager. What a phoney person. We refused the rental and left. We made arrangements to pickup elsewhere. In Contrast, The Walnut location was excellent, Polite, and quickly changed trailers when we pointed out a problem. Excellent service at the Walnut Location!! It's sad that rude people hold jobs as Managers in customer service. I won't forget. I will return to the Walnut location.MARLENE H.

Experience was decent overall, but the vehicle is on its last legs. Steering was loose and drifts, breaks were very bad, and acceleration at any level spiked the RPMs and threatened to blow the engine.AARON B.

Took the man in front of me more than half an hour to rent his trailer and in the end his paperwork still wasn’t right. When staff came in and told the employee it was a problem she replied she would not fix it and to get someone else. I reserved my unit online but still had to spend 15 minutes with the employee and do it all over again. I was only able to get mine done properly because the manager finally came in to fix the female employee’s previous problem she refused to fix. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. All of the staff outside were polite, friendly, and helpful. Inside was just the one woman who barely knew what she was doing. When I left there were at least 3 people waiting behind me. If Sunday is busy please staff the counter better or at least with someone competent. Worst experience renting a unit I’ve ever had at any facility. My truck was given to me with half a gas tank. I was told it was a full gas tank. I filled it back up before dropping it off after hours (above a half tank), but I'm worried I'll be charged. Thank you.JOSEPH N.

The vehicle I picked up seemed great. And the short commute to the house to load up the truck was deceiving. It wasn't known until about halfway through the trip that my family found about a dozen of spilled donuts and donut holes all over the floor behind the passenger seat (we vacuumed it at the next gas station) Then it rained in the mountains when we were about 2 hours out from our new home after business hours that we found out the windshield wipers were completely useless. It was a huge safety concern for us and we had to either stop driving or not use the wiper blades to see out the windshield. Overall, the family and I were very dissatisfied.DAVID D.

The 400+ lb. attendant was rude. I had filled out the very tedious online registration form, that's diificult to navigate due to the endless offerings for services that I didn't wnat and are hard to bypass. When I arrived, he said I couldn't rent the trailer unless I gave him a second phone number. I only have one phone and I asked him why that question wasn't asked on the lengthy online registration form. I was a bit irritated that U-Haul wasn't competent enough to produce a registration form that asked for all the data needed to rent a trailer. He was very defensive and suggested that I go somewhere else to rent the trailer. Having no other choice, I gave him my wife's cell phone number and rented the trailer. My parting comment to him was "I guess here, the customer is always wrong". The trailer itself was mostly OK but the ramp/tailgate was warped and I had to beat the securing pins out of the ramp with a hammer to get it to release to open it and even that was difficult. I really needed a drift punch and 3 lb hammer to drive them out. I could reinsert only one of the pins when I closed it. Other than that, no problems.Terry M.

The zip lock on my dolly was broken and I did not notice it until I left the facility. When I returned, I was charged for the dolly. I will be very careful in the future to make sure your "extra" equipment is secured before I leave the facility. I understand the convenience but it is just a way to pad your bill. If I wanted blankets or a dolly, I would have rented them. They just take up space in the van. Luckily I didn't need the space.WILLIAM G.

The chain on that tow dolly on the passenger side looked worn and the rubber grommet but dried out. And the light on the driver side of the tow dolly was out and was pulled over by a State Trooper because of the light being out and I could not confirmed if the light was working properly I have to take the word of the the person that hooked up the tow dolly when we check the lights and he said the lights were working. And the safety chain set at a choose to the car fell off due to the dried out rubber grommet that attaches to the hook on the chain the other one that was not dried out stayed on the vehicleMARK B.

Couldn't find my truck for self check. When I found it I was told I had to take a different truck. When I went to do that self check it was still tied to the old truck. Had to find mgr who told me he sent new self check. Box of parts for repair on driver seat and the seal around the door had fallen off so hard to close door. On bringing it back it would not let me do the self check in as it was still tied to original truck. Only one person working who was busy. And told me to just leave it.david S.

I rented a truck for 4 hrs on 8/29/21, because website wouldnt let me choose 6 hrs. I ended up returning 45 mins late and was charged an extra day. I called and spoke with Csr or Asst manager on 8/31/21, didnt get his name, but he was able to refund me the extra day.JOSE V.
