Get more rental trucks back in NY State, we had different trucks set to rent, and 2 different locations to pickup, and still had a call just 2 hours before our expected pickup informing us that we may have to drive 80 minutes to pick it up. My complaint is that Uhaul offloads the responsibility to checkout onto the customer lest you pay a fee. Well I didn't know that so I dropped the key THEY went to return the truck.. idk. Also some how my 480 something rental became like... 530 something. The guy mentioned a deposit but customer service couldn't see one. The entire debacle was just exhausting. Borrow a pick up.Adam J.

This location is normally outstanding however this rental was anything but. A month ago I reserved a 26 foot truck for November 5th at 8:30am. I received a phone call amd text message on Thursday that my reservation was changed to 1:30pm because my equipment wasn't available. Im not sure how a reservation can be changed without asking me but we'll let that go. I called to ask why and was told that the store manager had extended the reservation before me and therefore I would not have a truck until 1:30. Why a reservation was allowed to be extended when someone reserved the truck is beyond me. Especially since I tried to do that same thing on October 1st and was told I couldn't because it was rented after me. Seems odd. Anyway, I was told that a 20 foot truck was available at 8:30 and I reserved that even though I knew it would cause me to make extra trips. When I went in to pick up my truck this morning there was a 26 foot truck sitting in the parking lot but was told that someone had it reserved for later that morning. How was a truck available for them but not for me? I was not happy and everyone I spoke to said they had no idea what happened. The only helpful person was a woman I spoke with over the phone Thursday night. She told me the store manager changed everything. When I asked the employees in the store they were very less than helpful. When I returned the wrong truck the store manager, Jeff, was there and he acted like he knew nothing of the situation. The only remedy offered was to give me a 20% discount. Today was beyond frustrating.Tony D.

We were told that whatever gas we had left over would be re-imbursed as a credit. When we left the vehicle off at the Ithaca location on Elmira Road the people there told us that a credit was not possible. We left vehicle with a full tank so this means we are short at over $80 spent on fuel!Larry R.

Ratchet was broken and kept loosening while driving so had to stop every 20 miles on a 400 mile trip to check it and re tighten. Told worker in drop off and said they are going to replace it.Liam F.

outside of vehicle was dirty and inside back area if the van wasn't swept out. MOST OF ALL PER MILAGE CHARGES WERE RIDICULOUSLY HIGH .79/mile, AND COMPLETELY WIPE OUT THE COME ON CHARGE OF A LOW DAILY RATE! I WOULD NOT RENT AGAIN UNLESS I HAD A SHORT TRIP!!!!JOHN P.
