The trailer I reserved 3 days prior was unavailable. I ended up with smaller trailer that made me make two trips and cost me much more because of the labor I had hired. I will investigate other trailer rental companies in the future. Very disappointed in Uhaul.

When I arrived in the evening to drop off the truck the location parking lot was so jammed with other trucks which had been dropped off, that I had to use a one-way exit to enter the location and drop off the truck. It appears to me that the location does not have a large enough drop-off area for some nights. Everything else about my experience was just fine.

The bill was somewhat confusing in respect to whether or not I was actually charged for "extra miles". 21 extra miles were included in the original contract, not that I needed them but the attendant said, "I'll give you 21 extra miles and round off to 120 miles." I was not sure, nor could the attendant produce a detailed listing to determine if I was charged for it. It was only $8 so it's not that big of a deal and the attendant was very polite and trying to be helpful. He said I wasn't charged so I took his word, but I am a "trust by verify" person and I would have liked a detailed bill. Other than that, as reflected in my ratings above, the rental was fine. I'd use UHaul again and I'd use the same locations again. Thanks for reading this.

Cab of truck was clean but bed had what appeared to be radiator fluid in it. I had to ask the attendant clean it out before putting my boxes in the back of the truck.

The reps are rude and dont seem to care about their job. I tried to rent a trailer from this location on 4 occassions. After 4 weekends in a row of trying to get a trailer (even with a reservation all 4 times) i finally was able to get it. FUCK U-HAUL

This location was over 20 miles from the location we wanted to get the truck from. We were not happy with that. And when the reservation was made there was no warning that this would be the case.

Please check the key remotes - the battery must have been dead on the one I was given - had to use the key to open the doors of the van - but unfortunately the back and side doors of the van had no key hole, making unlocking them a challenge without the remote working.

Spoke to three people on the phone and all were unfriendly. I accidentally left a lock on the back of the U-Haul and was told that if I was 30 minutes past my drop off time, I would be charged an extra day. I dropped off the truck a day early!

The person helping me - couldn't get rid of me faster. Vague directions on what to do in general - it was my first time renting a pick up. I felt Unsure after talking with the person at the desk. For First times i would not suggested this location, But if you are in the swing of UhAul life then this place is perfect with its no nonsense waiting.

I had rented a 6x12 trailer at 11:30AM on Sunday October 8 and asked the U-Haul rep if I can drop it off that evening he said yes after hours is okay and that in the AM Monday October 9 they would send me an invoice to close out the rental agreement. I called your 800 number that evening to let them know that I had returned it and they asked if I dropped the key off? It’s a trailer I explained to them. They then said that they would notify the local rental department. Monday AM still no invoice. I called back to be connected with your central location. They said that it still not closed out. Called back again at 1PM and they still had no more info to provide me. I ended driving back to the rental facility and they finial y closed out the invoice. Your central location and the local facility do a terrible job communicating.

The truck had 115,000 mi, and is drove like a boat in a strong cross-current, and I cannot imagine driving this for more than 1 hour of local driving. Be aware, if you bring back the truck dirty, there is a $25 clean fee, use the hauling cart or moving pads, $7 each....The people at the site were all great.

I appreciate estimating the mileage online. I appreciate the convenience of a speedy checkout, and key drop off I don't appreciate being charged estimated mileage when there is an actual reading that was lower. practicing this way leaves the door open for customers underestimating their trips....or (in my case) the customer being overcharged for mileage use

Confirm that the customer will definitely get the vehicle that they reserved. I don't like that there's the chance that you won't. I'm a woman and specifically only wanted to rent a van, as I can't drive a truck. Despite, my rental being confirmed, someone called me the day before saying that I had to take a 15' truck instead of a van. I called the Malvern location and they said they didn't know who called me but that I would get the van that I reserved. That's the only thing that needs to be improved upon. That woman that called me, put me in a panic about my move, since I can't drive a truck, so, that needs to be improved upon. Moving is so stressful, that's it's not acceptable to be put in the position of being forced to rent a larger truck than you reserved..

Location was great. U-Haul ordering and confirmation process horrific. My order was changed multiple times and I did not get the original truck or pick-up and drop-off location I first ordered. Too much time spent on the phone with customer service and traffic coordinators to be "forced" into a truck required 3-times the effort and time to complete my move.

The two customer service representatives working here were helpful and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised that the Uhaul's new cargo van, the Ram 1500, can hold a king size mattress. This saved me a great deal of money compared to having to rent a 15' truck.

I scheduled a 9' van online , when I pick up at store , was told no more van left . I have to wait 2 hours .Then they give me a 10' truck and told me have to return it within 2.5 hours . Also charge me more because it's a bigger truck . I feel so bad , I ordered online and got a bad service, less time and charge more ! Won't come back to this store again !

You sent me out on the road for an interstate move with an UNSAFE vehicle. The driver-side mirror was cracked and had spidered in 4 directions rendering the ONLY mirror I had as USELESS. The truck was so MISALLIGNED because the frame of the vehicle was VISIBLY BENT that the position the steering wheel was in as I drove BLOCKED THE SPEEDOMETER so I could not see how fast or slow I was driving for over 500 miles. Also, your policy of not ensuring that the gas tank is full when you rent the truck is pathetic. The first time I get behind the wheel of a 26 ft truck, you force me to go to the gas station where I had to navigate an island of pumps with a damaged and severely misaligned truck. I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again. I'm done with you. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

did not have the enough staff. I reserved a 20 Ft truck a month ago checked in a week before to confirm. The of pick up called to confirm and was told they did not have the truck, it got stuck under a bridge. It's no my job to find another truck. This location is poorly managed. The owner of this location should be embarrassed. I had to rent 2 trucks making sure to have enough room. I feel the second truck should of been free because of your mistake. I did try to call the owner but no one answered. Was I get my receipts together I will bring them in to make sure I am compensated. This was a terrible experience and would not use you or recommend you. This disappointing I've used you for 25 yrs. Just a suggestion to the owners that have a lack of staffing offer more money so you don't go out of business.

The assistant manager helped me out when I was in a really tight spot. I had reserved a truck a few weeks back and upon getting ot the location, realised that the reservation had not been done properly, and there were no trucks available in the size I needed. The asst manager went way above and bayond to make sure I got a truck within an hour and was all set. Brilliant work

Only issue was a long line of about 10 customers waiting for service and/or check-in/check-out. We lost about 1 hour waiting in line. When it was our turn, the check-in went quickly and smoothly, and the attendant apologized for the long wait.

The staff did not accompany me to the vehicle to go over the vehicle and make sure I was comfortable and educated about the use of the vehicle. The gas cap was hanging out of the gas tank. There was a windshield sign in the front window that I had to remove and store behind the seat. The drivers side sun visor did not have a clip to secure it in the upright position, so the visor constantly fell downward, obstructing my vision. VERY unsafe. I had to drive with 1 hand and hold the visor up with the other. This could have been avoided if the staff had accompanied me to the vehicle rather than just handing me the keys.

Only problem I had was the truck was listed originally on the contract as having 3/4 tank of gas but only had half a tank in it when I started it. I told the worker there about this and he said no problem I'll change the contract. I asked him twice if I needed to sign To change the contract and he said no I will take care of it. That was not the case! When I return the truck with half a tank in it I had to put $40 of additional fuel in it to bring it up to 3/4 tank because he never changed The contract and never told me that his signature to verify was required.

The pickup location was fine, however the rental was a total waste of money and the issue is with U-haul themselves. I had rented the same 6x12 cargo trailer a week before and had one with two barn doors on the back. This rental had a roll up door and couldn't fit the item the trailer was rented to move. Didn't see the back till I got to the pickup location I called U-haul customer service which was a waste of time until I was cut off being passed from one person to the next. Evidently it is my fault for not calling the location to ask which version they have, as if customers are supposed to know. The attitudes of the people I spoke to was also lousy.

The customer service rep "CSR" did not know that U-HAUL has an app for self rental. CSR repeatedly shushed me when I tried to explain that I had checked out a van via the app, except that the app froze at the final step. I had to go through the entire paperwork rental process, causing a line of 10 people to form behind me. When I went to remove all my moving items from the first van (identified by the app), CSR was shocked and started yelling at me ("that is NOT your van, why did you put those things in there???"). I waved my phone at him and told him for the 10th time that I had used the U-HAUL app which identified my van and which I then loaded. He clearly had never heard of any such app. He did not ask me to inspect the van, and frankly I just wanted to leave, having spent 45 minutes getting nowhere with your app and dealing with an ill trained CSR. Several blocks from U-HAUL, I noted the the driver"s side rear view mirror was shattered and chunks were missing. I called U-HAUL customer service and reported it. Finally, at 10 pm while driving the van back to U-HAUL, and 40 miles away, the interior lights of the van came on and stayed on. Nothing I did would turn them off. I called U-HAUL road side assistance, waited 15 minutes, was connected to Customer Service, not RA, hung up and tried again. At this point I had left the interior-lit van in your lot. I told RA about the lights and that the battery in the van would likely be drained. I assume all this is documented. I am appalled the your CSR has no idea or training re your app. I am appalled that your app failed to work and did so only after I had spent many minutes downloading photos etc. I am appalled that I was given a van with no interior rear view mirror of worth (due to the metal cage so conveniently added by U-HAUL) and with a broken driver's side mirror. Not exactly safe. The broken interior lights on the drive home on dark streets was just icing on the cake.

I made this reservation on the Mon. before the rental date at the Parksburg PA location for 8am.,1 mile from my house The day before the pickup date I got a call from someone that the truck will not be at this location or at that rental time. I was then told that the truck needed to be picked up at the Malvern (10 miles away)location not at 8am but at 3:30 pm and that I would get a discount for my inconvienence. So I had people drive 4 hours to my house the day before to start loading at 8am but now we had to wait till 3:30 to pick up the truck. So this was a bad experience and I feel this is unprofessional. I did NOT receive any discount that I was promised and was also charged another $6.38 (with .44 tax on top of that) because the fuel level wasn't exactly on 3/4 when I returned it. You charge tax on top of the gas charge?? What are you people going to do about this before I start giving BAD reviews?

The location was perfect and the staff was wonderful. I was only frustrated that if I had taken the rented trailer one way, it would have cost me an additional $500.00. I couldn't justify it and brought the trailer back. I understand that there may be an additional cost but that was excessive!

Allow at least a half hour to pick up a truck, especially on busy days like the end of the month and weekends. The guy that was working the Wednesday morning that I picked up my truck was friendly and efficient but there was only one of him. I waited over a half hour while he took care of people ahead of me and there were 4 people in line behind me when I left.

Final invoice was incorrect which I did not notice because I assumed that the guaranteed lowest rate would kick in. I called the store's number when I got to my office and the person asked me to hold while they looked into it. I was on hold for 10 minutes and must have been rerouted to someone in customer service who I had to explain the whole thing to again. I was told it would take 1-3 business days to resolve because the store manager had to resolve it.

This location is well staffed, well equipped and well maintained. This was a last-minute rental, and in spite of the busy season, I was able to get the truck I needed. The only problem was that my move took longer than I thought. When I called about three hours before my return time to say I'd probably be running late, they told me the truck was booked to go out again, and at the manager's discretion, there may be extra fees if I ran too late. We had to quickly pack up the largest items only and drive to the end destination to unload so we'd be back to the store on time. Now I'll have to make a couple extra trips in my car to get all the smaller things. I know they're in business to make money, but since you pay "per day", in the future I will simply say I need the truck for the entire day, and if I get back sooner, so be it. Pick-up and drop-off went very smoothly, and the rates are reasonable. Next time, I'll plan differently.

I am allergic to smoke. When I was getting my van as soon as I got my key and went to the van I told the man in the brown shirt. He turned on the air and opened the windows. I am sorry that does not take out the smoke when there are cloth seats. There were 20 other vans in the lot but I was never offered another van. I took the van home and detailed the van because not only was the van dirty but I tried to get the smoke out. No luck! When I turned in the van they didn't seem to care! I will use Enterprise again when I need to rent again. They were much more accommodating!!!!!

Truck was moved to a different store to facilitate easier pickup: perfectly fine, I understand that that happens occasionally. Had confirmation that I could pick the truck up at 8; store doesn't open until 9; couldn't find any means of self pickup through web/mobile app. I had gone through express check-in and everything hoping to be on the road shortly after 8. In essence, we were blindsided by an hour delay in our plans and I had people waiting for me/the truck. It is no trouble if you are going to move a truck to a different facility, but it would be preferred to have the new store call and let me know and explain the pickup procedure. If someone had simply informed me that we couldn't pick it up until 9, I would have adjusted my plans accordingly.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with U-Haul. The Malvern site overbooked trucks for the entire day. I was originally supposed to pick up a 15 foot truck at 8 am on 7/29 and received word that I was getting a 20 foot truck at 4 pm the next day. My family loss out on over $50 of parking restrictions to make our move into the city as easy as possible. The managers that I talked to where not helpful or friendly leaving the worst taste in my mouth. The best part of the experience was the customer service representative that finally helped me out at 4:30 pm the day I picked up the truck because he stated, "I'm really sorry for your experience, we overbooked trucks in the case that there was a cancellation." I will NEVER use U-Haul ever again.

Even though we reserved a month in advance they did not have the equipment we had ordered which made moving a whole lot more difficult. The employees were very unprofessional, using their phones as we came in to ask for their help in getting the supplies in the first place which once again after reserving it for the day should've been set up for us already. Also a standard practice should be to go out and inspect the vehicle before the customer gets in it and show a couple key things on how to use the truck.

when we saw we saw how much stuff we had to pack and the size of the 15 foot van we felt that we could use something smaller. when we asked about a smaller van, i.e. 10 foot, they did not have any. so we went with the 15 foot one. it turned out that it was a good choice. what I realized was that while the 10 foot might have held our stuff, the only way it could happen would be if we used all the verticle space. Turns out the 15 foot did the job. If people opt for the 10 they might not pack it properly to handle their stuff. You would need to advise them accordingly.

Pickup and drop off locations were excellent, however, my experience with the web site and customer service phone was terrible. I could not input my options on the website: when I tried to add insurance "our technical problem, sign out and try again later" - 4 times! Then called the customer service # and 3 times the rep said that she would transfer me to a rep to take my info and each time we were transferred back to the main menu! One hour later, after voicing my frustration and demanding that I not be transferred back to the menu, the 4th rep finally took my information, said that she would email a confirmation with all my additions but I only received a basic day and time. And when I went to pick up they had none of the additional info I provided.

I ordered a 20 footer but they upgraded me to a 26 which was much higher then i wanted. Passengers door was broken from the inside. Breaks squealed really bad. How about when someone orders a 20 foot truck you actually keep it on the lot. Prices were also much higher than penske trucks. I could have gotten their truck for 2 days compared to one day with you. I probably would not rent a truck from you again bc of high prices, not giving me the right truck and the issues with the door and brakes

Malvern, was under staffed. Truck had wrong mileage on contract off by about 103000.00 miles. Staff did not pre trip the truck. When asked I was told it was brand new. I pre tripped the truck and found scratches from tree branches and had staff member mark them. I had to wait another half hour for this because of staffing issues. Also I think if you request a pick up of a truck and U-Haul cannot provide a truck at the location requested you should not be charged for the miles you may have to drive to get the truck. I wanted to pick up my truck approx. 3 miles from my home but had to get it 25 miles from my home. I was to get my truck in Crum Lynn Pa. and then I was told Media and then I was told Chester Pa. I requested a 8 a.m. pick up and then I was told I would not be able to get the truck until 5:30 p.m. I told them that was unacceptable. I found a U-Haul in York Pa., where I was moving and he made a phone call and was able to set me up with a truck a day early Kudos to Market Motors in York Pa.

I was giving 4 different locations to pick my uhaul up at. It was not available when I reserved it for at 8am. I couldn't get my uhaul until 2:30pm and i had to drive over 50 minutes away just to get the uhaul. I do not recommend uhaul at all, the managers was not helpful and wouldn't do anything for me. I think I deserve a refund for all the stress, extra driving, and the inconvenience. The guy that rented the uhaul to us at the malverb location was very helpful.

When I rented the van, I asked what were the measurements for the opening because the cubbies I was picking up were 54 inches tall and there were 4 of them. I was told by the assistant manager that the opening was 4 feet wide and 5 feet high. Good, 6 inches to spare. Well when we got to the furniture store the 54 inch cubbies wouldn't fit unless we angled them corner to corner in the opening. Then, we couldn't stand them back up. So we had to lean them on the wheel well and could only fit two of the four cubbies. We had to make 2 trips costing us twice the fuel and twice the mileage. When I returned the van, the sign says to stay with your equipment and a customer representative will be right out. 25 minutes later and a phone call to the 800 number at minute 15 and still no one. So I went inside and stood in line for 20 minutes more. Never again.

The wait time to speak to someone about picking up and returning my rental truck took way to long. I waited over 20 minutes before one person even acknowledged I was there when I picked up my rental. I sat in the store alone while I waited. A similar situation happened when I dropped the truck off. The only difference was the 10 minute wait. I don't mind waiting, I just wished someone acknowledged that I was there. A simple greeting would of sufficed.

The truck bed was clean but the cab was not. It stank of cigarettes. Everything was dusty. We had to clean the film off the inside and outside of the windows. We knew we were going to drive the truck over 1000 miles and needed it to be live able for the ride. We cleaned it but the smell of cigarette we could not eliminate The truck storage also leaked. The boxes in mom's attic were wet and several of the blankets were wet The windshield wipers were shot. Not only did they not clear the window of rain but they screatched very loud when operated We asked the rep in the pickup location if a 15 foot truck had the power to pull the trailer that we also rented from you. He said it was enough. This was not the case. Going down highway 81 we could not maintain speed on the hills. The air conditioner would cut out half way up the hill. Given that we were driving to the Deep South in July that was not good. We wish we rented a bigger truck This was not a good experience. I hope that I will never need to my be my son cross country like this again. I have used you many times in the past but I think I will shop around next time. The rep in Fraser knew it was a one way long distance rental and the basics were not attended to before we took her out. I think you need to re evaluate your plans nspection process One last point. We also rented a vehicle mover trailer a the same time from the same pickup point. They told us that the van and trailer might not be in Fraser but that we would be notified in advance. As it turns out the van was at Fraser location but the trailer was in Havertown pa. That is about 20 miles away in a densely populated area. I rented close to home so that I would not have to learn to dive the rig in rush hour traffic. Yet there I was driving through the Bowles of Delaware county at reh hour having ever driven the rig. We also burned e quarter of a tank of gas retrieving the trailer. I asked if they could move it to Fraser but they refused. I offered to pay a fee to have the trailer moved and they refused. If I knew that this was the case I would have gone elsewhere for my rental. Great product as we loved the trailer. Poor communication and poor service Thanks for asking for my input. I made a reservation on a Friday, and received confirmation. On Monday evening I received a call saying they wouldn't be able to provide a truck due to being booked.. 3 days after receiving confirmation. Called to speak to the manager twice, to see if I could get a discount and never heard back. Two of the people that were going to help me move Saturday weren't available Sunday. It made my move very difficult.

I have always had very positive experiences at the Malvern, PA location, and go out of my way to use the location whenever I can. As for the equipment, I have rented from U-Haul many times, including the 6' x 12' enclosed trailer. For the first time, I receive a version of this trailer with a pair of swinging rear doors instead of a garage style door. I found the swinging door style much more desirable due to ease of use, flexibility of use, and consistent head room within the trailer.

Asked for a revised contract that indicated the gas tank wasn't full, but never got it, forcing me to put more gas in the truck before drop-off (didn't want to be charged some outrageous price per gallon). When I arrived Friday morning (830) to pick up my scheduled and reserved pickup and tow dolly, I was told it hadn't been returned yet and I'd need to wait. An hour later I was informed that someone at the location had extended the other reservation over mine just that morning, giving them til 1130 to return the truck. Leaving after 1130 instead of at 830 wouldn't have sufficed for the trip I needed to make. Anyway, I had to reschedule to Monday, take another day off work, and spend an extra $105 due to the three-day-delay. Renting the truck Monday turned out to be no problem, but it kept flashing error messages about engine oil, the tow dolly had been asymmetrically rigged, and the rubber fixtures were worn if not fully deficient. This place has a much larger selection than most other nearby uhaul locations, and most of the people working there were professional and kind, but my experience consisted mostly of wasted time, energy and money

This place has gone down hill in recent years. We have been renting for years...as long as its been there! The service stinks, the equiptment I got was not inspected and approved by the regional manager and caused many delays and headaches for what was supposed to be our move to paradise! I filed a complaint on 6/11 and have yet to be contacted maybe someone will read this and give a crap! I have easily spent over 25,000 dollars with Uhaul in my adult life moving about the country and my last move was the worst! I hope someone cares enough to realize that customers like me matter!

The truck I was rented had several damage marks including a cracked windsheild but was described as 'new' by the person renting it. This left me very worried someone would try to charge me for the previous damage despite the little x stickers in place. I also had to look up information about returning the truck (the requirement to fold the pads) on my own rather than that being explained.

I reserved a 26' truck about a month ago. I get there to pick it up and it was not available. Then even a backup truck 20' was not available either. Both trucks were broken and they did not check before I came to make sure their equipment was in good working order. I had to wait 2hrs in the store while a backup truck 20' was available. It was too small and I was paying movers $50 an hour while I waited 2hrs for my U-Haul truck Terrible experience. Paul G.

The only thing that annoyed me was they just handed me a key for the truck and said "it's over there". They were very busy so I guess they weren't interested in helping once they had my money. Took me trying a few different doors then tracking someone down to finally show me the right truck. I'm thinking I was also reported the wrong starting fuel, somehow the form said 3/8ths full and I drove 10 miles and the gas fuel light came on so I'm thinking they over-reported the amount of gas in the truck. So I put in 20 gallons and the needle went to 5/8ths and drove another 60 miles and the needle was back just above 4/8ths for drop off. But, that's my fault for signing and for not checking the fuel myself before leaving the lot, a $50 lesson learned, I'm sure they didn't misrepresent the fuel on purpose, just an oversight by all, including me. Same for damages, I didn't check which could have been a costly error but fortunately when I brought it back there was nothing they called out as 'new'. Overall everything was fine. I'd go back, just a little smarter next time!

When we got there the one guy was talking to to the other staff and ignoring us. We were in a hurry since we were paying the movers by the hour and they were chit chatting about personal stuff. Every time the guy was talking to the others he would stop what he was doing to talk to the other guys. I finally got mad and told him to stop and pay attention to me and help me check out so I could get on my way.

I have rented from this location for 14 years---once per year. This year the franchisee pushed the per mile rate by .99 cents per mile for the weekends. I've heard of jacking the price up when demand is high---but this is the worst. By the way---a one day rental locally 40 miles.

I was promised a 10-foot van, and 2 were on the lot. However, the agent would not give one of them to me and kept pushing the truck in the same category, which was bigger than I needed. We wound up accepting the truck, but it was not as easy to drive or as economical on fuel as the van would have been.

I reached at 12:50 to pick up my vehicle at 1 that I had pre booked a week ago. I check in am told its not available instead they are going to give me a 15 foot which I refuse to take. Finally he says he cant do anything and after me telling him that's not acceptable decides to go out of the back door. 5 mins later tells me take a 10ft truck else he will cancel my booking. Seriously I booked a week in advance. I needed the vehicle so took the 10 ft on which they charged me more money per mile as I would have been on the one I had booked. I will never rent from here again. You need to give some serious training to your staff on customer service.

Let the customer know a day is 24 hrs on one way haul. Allowed me stay an extra day of storage thank you!! But I would have chose a different pickup time had I know how the days were defined. Was not given them the drop off location address. Spent an hour trying to find it hence was late in delivering by one hour. Very frustrating experience on the back end. Got ripped off paid 162$ for a one way move and then was charged another 75$ for late and because I left ONE box in the truck for cleaning charge.

I rented a U-Haul cargo van and a utility dolly. I received a U-Haul cargo van and no dolly. It was a minor inconvenience. There seemed to be some confusion among the staff in general. Overall, I was able to do what I needed. I will probably use this location again if it is the closest one to me and the need arises.
