When I placed the order, I asked for a truck, a dozen blankets and an appliance dolly. I received the truck, but neither the blankets nor the appliance dolly. I went back to the location to get those only to be told that they did not have an appliance dolly available. They not only failed to get the order right, but they failed to notify me that the dolly was not available and charged me for it. I had to ask for a refund (which I have not received yet). This was a utility trailer, so I didn't expect perfection, but it had a lot of mud on the outside of it when I picked it up. Not anyone's fault, but it developed a brake issue that resulted me in having to get a replacement trailer and off-load my stuff onto it. The whole process cost me one of my two days' rental period, so I was unable to complete all the work I had intended to get done.Kevin M.

I APPRECIATE THE HELP THE HELP ON UHAUL ON 1000. E.3th N but When I returned the UHAUL TRUCK ON 7740 Metcalf Overland Park I was shocked because of the two black men that worked there at 11am on Saturday the 10th 2021 Very rude they did not help me but I soon as I packed and walking towards the UHAUL office to take the keys one of the black man yelled at me while trying to return the key inside I was very angry.He was very far from He yelled to me to give the the keys to that man behind you outside and. told me I owe $8:00 and I am done.I was shocked cos that not how I returned my tUHAUL trucks before I had to take the key inside and they will come and check the equipment and miles and gas and I always got good customer service but this time around they really need to do something about this issue because I still have questions and I do not think I owe UHAUL anything. cos I even put more gas on the truck.I needed to speak to someone inside they did not give me a CHANCE the line was so long and it was raining and I was cold and wet from moving and I went inside they came inside to help more than ten people one person taking over 30minutte I did want to talk to. those two men I was tired from driving all late night from wichita to Overland Park and. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT THERE WOULD ONLY BE A HOLD ON THAT AMONT AND IT WOULD NOT BE PROCESSED PAYMENT. WHEN, I RETURNED THE VAN...THE MAN THAT ASSISTED ME SAID "ONE MOMENT I WILL BE RIGHT BACK", UPON RETURN HE WENT TO COMPUTER AND A FEW MOMENTS LATER HE SAID" OK HERE YOU GO...YOU ARE ALL DONE". I rented a 15 for u-haul truck and hired a recommended moving company from the u-haul site, L.C. and Sons. The manager of the moving company called me prior to the moving date and confirmed the details such as the size and location of my current and future residences. I rented the u-haul truck for about $60 and hired lc & sons for 3 hours at $70/hr to load and unload the truck. The first guys that came were a young pair who did an awful job. It took them 2 hours to load the truck, which was way too much time. They went really slow. By the time we got the truck to the new apartment, there was only 35 minutes to unload the truck, and they had a job right after mine, so they couldn't stay longer. The truck was still 90% full at this point. Before they left, they told me they had a proposition for me. They told me they'd come back after they get off work for $30 each/hour. The owner told me they didn't have anyone else to send, so I felt I didn't have a choice and agreed. They left. Needless to say, all of my belongings were in the truck. Medications, frozen food. I waited for 4 hours for them to come back, and they never showed up. I complained to the manager, who contacted me the next morning. I had to go without medications that night and sleep on the floor with no blankets because everything was in the truck. I couldn't even go look for anything because it was so tightly packed. The manager and his wife came the next morning and unloaded the truck in 35 minutes at no extra charge, so he did make it right. However, I lost all of my frozen food because it had thawed out overnight. He reimbursed me for the second day I had to keep the uhaul truck. Now my recliner is broke. The first guys took it apart to pack it, and now it won't go back together.Kimberly S.

I reserved my trailer at another location in Wichita, ks 2 weeks prior (6222 E 21st st). When i get there they tell me they don't have my trailer available as someone else is renting it on Monday. This was Saturday i was there.. . At that point they acted like I was just out of luck and left it at that. I had to ask what they were going to do for me then as I am moving and need the trailer I reserved 2 weeks ago. The manager said something along the lines of "well why aren't you in my system then? I can't let you take that trailer, it's already called for." The manager called someone and asked what to do, they said I would need to go to another U-haul and get my trailer (the one in 1000 e 13th) and at this point, I was an hour behind on my moving plans and I had to pay my movers the extra hour for waiting. I get to the other location and the trailer was filthy and not cleaned exteriorly at all. (I have pictures if you need them). When dropping off the u-haul to the final destination in Iowa, the u-haul worker said the trailer was hooked up completely wrong and he was surprised we didn't lose the whole trailor in the drive up. Nobody in Wichita inspected the trailer with us, so as we were on the highway back to Iowa, the running lights were flickering/coming off and on like there's a wore shortage. The u-haul in Iowa said they will get it fixed and the other uhaul should have definitely made sure they were working before we left. Here's my questions for you Uhaul... Why wasn't a text, call or email sent to me that I needed to go to another location for my rental? Why couldn't I have gotten the trailer that I reserved 2 weeks prior and the other person renting the trailer for Monday didn't get moved to the other location as I was already there and waiting? Why wasn't an inspection done and why wasn't my u-haul hooked up properly? This was very poor customer service and I feel some sort of compensation would be nice and the least that could be done. It was a snowy day and the windshield wipers were worthless. Made the window view worse. The front bumper was clearly cracked but it wasn't identified as damaged on the sign in. Denise was great at explaining everything about the rental and I was in and out in 10 min. It was snowing and I appreciate the help from staff to set up my car hauler and double check everything. When I arrived at the location, there was 1 person behind the desk helping 2 customers that had an issue with a credit card. I waited for 10 minutes... and then heard paper rustling around in the back office that's to the side. I walked over and said, â€œexcuse me, I'm here to pick up a trailer...â€ Before finishing my sentence, the GM Garrett Schaper, asked me- â€œis there not anyone up there?â€ I told him there was but I'd been waiting a long time. He said... and I quote: â€œTHAT is not my job. You'll have to wait up there. You don't just walk into someone's office!!â€ I quietly went back up front, to not cause further confrontation with an apparently on the edge manager. I was surprised, because as the GM- your job IS everything, to run the business, and take care of customers/ help your employees. Locks were placed on my unit twice and I wasn’t notified. First time they didn’t have a key and wouldn’t cut the lock off!! Took 2 days to get a resolution. Second time they acted like it was no big deal because the circle lock is required and free when you rent the unit. Wasn’t given one when I rented and had been there a year. Uhaul's customer service at EVERY SINGLE point of contact has been over the top helpful and knowledgeable. Dropping off extra pads in Covina, no problem. Trailer pick up at an associate location, easy! One thing broke in my 6 Uboxes and I'm blaming that on whoever packed that item (likely me). Van smelled strongly of cigarettes, otherwise it was clean, but I cannot rate a vehicle as clean if it reeks of cigarette smell. Not adequate parking for personal vehicle. All staff was very friendly and helpful except they didn't do a walk around to acknowledge any previous damage and there was no walk around after turn in. Arrived at 11pm. Spoke with representatives earlier that day and the previous day. I let them know I would be in late. They made no mention that I would not have access after hours. Next morning. Based on the unit number we assumed the unit was on the 2nd floor. No stairs anywhere...eventually we realized we needed to take the freight elevator just to find the unit. Silly and excessive, stairs would be fast and efficient. The first representative I talked to said there would be a lock in the storage locker. The next day second representative said there would be no lock. So of course I had to pick up a lock. Finding a lot to three trips to different stores. Eventually I found one and of course there was a lock in the locker. Not sure why they were the mixed signals. Two days ago I called about the free first day for college students promotion based on the COVID-19 move out. I was told I would receive a phone call in return.
