Leave more room between trucks (parked end-to-end) when staging for pickups. 1.5 to 2 feet isn't enough to easily pull out without risking damage to the truck or van.James H.
The young man that helped me was fantastic. He was also way over his head. Not his abilities, that part was above average. Why would you leave one man to do everything? There was a line of customers. Two left when I was there. But this young man kept his cool and took care of one thing at a time. His name is escaping me now. He has tattoos in his hand and drive a Honda. Highly recommend this young man. He is doing managements job at a discount. He deserves some some recognition.FRED S.
Trailer was not available for pickup at the location I reserved even after confirming in person the evening before. I was sent 20 miles away to pick up the trailer which resulted in a delay in my trip. I called Uhaul several times and was told it was my problem and no discount was offered for the inconvenience I incurred and no customer service returned my calls despite the promise of a call back. Methuen location did not have enough people working and were unable to have additional UBoxes available towards the end of the day. We were told the forklift operator had left in the middle of the day and there were no other employees that could load UBoxes onto a trailer. This was extremely frustrating and caused an unnecessary headache during our move.Stephen D.

Gas was not given to me at the 5/8 mark I took pictures to prove it. When I returned the truck the worker did not verify told me everything was all set which is where I was at fault for trusting the employee. I was super flexible with not receiving the van at full.RAFAEL T.
Uhaul was very clean but had an exhaust issue and was probably heard within a half mile radius. Everything went smooth as far as transaction and employees were really nice. Truck was the only issue. Overall, I'd use them again and hope I get a different uhaulAngel H.

First, I had and been asking to get a smaller unit since may of 2021, always told there are no small units available. I asked for smaller unit because I only had two items that need storing. This past month, October, my payment is due on the 30th of each month, it was October 1,2021, you placed a lock on my unit for being one day late. The place is very clean and secure, but your employees, customer service, and hours there are horrible. Examples, it would take me times that I help because I card not working over half hour, with nobody there. Then there is the hours, there is uhaul employees either not there on hours of operations or they have door lock and they are inside. The boxes arrived on time and served their purpose but the whole experience has been an absolute communication nightmare. My boxes were picked up early without notification (they called the wrong customer) with all of my furniture in them which was not packed to be driven around & I had to chase them down to have them returned. The boxes were then picked up but since they had messed things up in the system I am still being charged as if I have the boxes and I can't get anyone to call me back to resolve the issue. I had to report it to my credit card company so that the charges do not continue. NIGHTMARE. I have spent so much time on the phone trying to resolve these issues - I will never use UHAUL again or recommend Uhaul.nicole M.

I'll forever have a bad taste in my mouth for uhaul because of this experience. Technically you did everything "right" and my ubox arrived on time and safely. However, it was uhaul (Methuen, MA) location that failed to check off the fact that my box was picked up and shipped. I made countless phone calls for everyone to give me a runaround and not know where my ubox was, when it was in the correct location the entire time.Kristen M.
I had filled out everything online and sent in a picture of my license and was waiting outside as the instructions in the text I received had indicated. Turned out the guy who had seen me was waiting for me inside. So I went in and had to go through the whole process all over. He gave me and charged me for equipment I didn't ask for. I never even opened the packages of pads given to me and I was charged for those too. Honestly, by the time I returned, the place was packed with trucks and the one guy there. Registration was screwed up: I reserved for 9 days, charged for 9 days, but when I saw the contract it was due back next day. I had to spend 45 minutes contacting customer service to fix it. I reserved the smallest trailer back in March yet someone it wasn't available even with that much advanced noticed. I injured myself handing the larger trailer.Brian S.

Two young males were at the counter. One was helping a customer, the other (new employee) was on his phone and not only didn't acknowledge us, but was zombie-like in his response when addressed. When the other clerk was able to assist us, he gave very poor direction to where the storage unit was located. He also gave the wrong unit number so we had to wait until he resolved that issue. All while we waited in the 90 degree sun and 3 paid helpers standing around for 30 minutes while he figured things out. Once the correct unit was opened, it was dirty with leaves, dirt, screws and big piles of what looked like spider eggs. They should at least sweep them out before a new customer uses them. The price is great, but I would pay more for even just the basics mentioned here.Sharon L. | First Impressions
So far, our experience has been very good. The only thing that has made the experience less than perfect is that there has only been one staff person to help in what appears to be a high-traffic establishment. That put the staff person under a lot of pressure. He had to keep us waiting while he took care of other customers, as he would have to leave the office to escort us to the storage unit at the far end of the lot. My only suggestion is that you print up flyers that detail such things as the rules and rates for using the Dumpster, and advising people to photograph a truck before they leave the lot - the same information that comes to the phone as you're about to drive out.
