My location confirmed on receipt was Meriden.. (I set up for bro in law) ....All was confirmed and paid for for 7 days prior pick up....My bro in law got there and NO record of pick up ......Sent to Middletown who insisted WAS NOT PAID for or scheduled for pick up - 1 day only (vs 7 days prescheduled and pick up confirmed ..)....NITEMARE when moving elderly parents out of home...CONFIRMED SCHEDULING AND PAID RECENT should be enough ......DO UHAUL places talk to each other ........Horrible experience DROP off place of Durham was also advised NOT VALID......SO pick up , time, and drop off location and payment in full all NOT VALID ?????MICHAEL M.

There were a few technical glitches when making the reservation online and getting my entry card set up but they were fixed when I came back later in the day. Overall, the two people I worked with were really helpful and apologetic, which went a long way in making it a good experience. Everything was good except that my particular storage unit has a broken locking device. Therefore opening the unit door all the way is not possible. Also when trying to lock the unit we had difficulties trying to get the lock on and off. I was told that someone would repair it but the woman UHAUL Representative didn’t know when. I booked a last minute request for a pickup truck (same day) and the process from start to finish was flawless. It was also move in weekend at a local University so the customer service workers were super busy. However, they handled my pickup/drop off and all my questions so well and so politely. Great overall experience. Pick up was very easy, I was driving in less than 10 min. (I did try the mobile check in and it didn't work at the location- could have been an issue if I went after hours). While the location and truck were clean, the day of pick up was not pleasant. The night before pickup I received a call that our size truck was not available due to damage but they could offer me a truck two sizes smaller with a nice discount. What was I going to do, so I understood and said yes we will make it work. The day of pick up I was "NOT" greeted by the young person, I will not use her name but initials, JW. She just says to me "Name" as we proceed I mention the situation and she says "I know nothing about it" I told her I have the voicemail and spoke with Keith and he said the manager told him they would give me a discount...etc.. if I excepted the smaller truck. JW continued to write up the contract and charge me full price. She said "We will deal with it when you return the truck". When I came back she still was very unpleasant, took $30.00 off and then charged me for 3 gallons of gas and said I didn't put gas in it. I got upset, raised my voice and told her we just came back from the gas station and offered the receipt. She didn't want to see it. We went 42 miles and filled it with $15.00 of gas which was about 5 gallons. It matched the picture I took of the tank on my phone.(which by the way, trucking to get a truck to 3/8th is hard, they should be given full so easy to return full) The point really is she was just rude. Didn't take into consideration we had to get another small truck so that cost us extra, Then she said to me "I have a headache and you are added to it, what is the big deal it's only $12.00". Will it is principle and it is my $12.00. Not to mention I paid for 45 miles @.99 a mile and only went 42 miles. Plus what about the extra tax I paid and wasn't refunded. Yes, this is all Nickle and Dime stuff and I wouldn't care about the this items but it was her unfriendly attitude that really got me. Keith was there at drop off and was super nice and very friendly. He did have all the notes in under my reservation, If JW had just taken the time to read the notes a lot could have been avoided. Her excuse to me was it was early and I just came in to work by myself and we are busy. (There was one person finishing up when I got there and nobody came in behind me) JW had plenty of time to look in the notes while I was there. I don't every write bad reviews as I myself take them with a "grain of salt" when I read them but her work attitude is terrible and I would never want to deal with her again. I hope she can learn to appreciate she has a job and learn to be more friendly, after all she is working in customer service.LORENZO F.

My credit card was DOUBLE charged for 101.63. That's unfair and bad business practice. I call and apparently I can't speak with the location , instead I have to call a national hotline and was put on hold for 45 minutes. Why should i have to waste my time and wait to speak with someone because of a mistake that Uhaul made?LINDSAY L.
Your centralized reservation system does not allow direct contact with the local facility. When I called the 'local" number your option choices go to a central location with very LONG wait times. Frustrating.ROBERT M.

The perimeter gate makes it a little difficult when arriving and leaving as a customer.Roger H.
Overall, I was very pleased with the service. One area for improvement is the gas level. It will be nice if you can start the customer of with a full tank of gas. Otherwise, the customer have to worry about filling the gas if it is low. Also, it will be easy to fill up the tank when returning rather than matching the previous gas level.MURALEEDHARAN G.

The new manager is not knowledgeable. I run a program to help local charities like food banks, veterans and domestic abuse victims. The previous manager would give me a discount as the truck is being used for charity work. The new manager had no clue about this, had no idea how to give a discount and could care less.
