I was overcharged because I explained at counter the time for rental was just an estimate..the employee said no problem.. and then I was charged for TWO rental periods because I did not get truck back within time I had estimated... employee totally misled.me. Make SURE if you are renting a van for a day, that you say "24 hours"..otherwise you get charged based on no of.hours uou estimate.. andnifnyiu go over, you ate charged for another rental period..very POOR policy.. as we know when moving, things don't always go like clockwork and I was totally under impression I had all the time within that 24 hours I needed.

The truck was filthy and there were human feces next to the truck. Staff seemed to not care about their job and one acted as if she was high on pills. Such a disgusting place to rent a truck. For sure will use Penske in the future or a different U-Haul location

This was my first time renting a truck, so I wasn't entirely sure about the return process. I waited in line for 20 minutes only to discover that it was as simple as a representative checking a few boxes on his phone, so maybe some simple return instructions in a text?

Exit street is so blocked with illegally parked cars that it was almost impossible to get my truck and trailer out. Frustrating.

They were reasonably staffed I 3 people, at least) Monday Sept 2 (Labor Day) when I picked up. The following day, the first day of a new month and after a three-day holiday, they only had ONE poor, overworked employee who had to deal with a constant stream of return business and new rentals. Gross negligence in staff scheduling! The one person there did great dealing with things by himself! I won't be dealing with U-Haul in th future.

Make sure equipment that has been requested via online reservations is in the truck when picking it up. We had requested a dolly for moving and realized it wasn’t in the truck. So we had to go back to get it. But this location didn’t have any so I had to drive in my car to another location up on Sunset to pick one up. Making my move within the 4 hour window reservation delayed while I had to do this extra trip. They said they would credit part of my mileage but I believe I should have been credited a little more for this inconvenience. At the end the truck was returned a little late but it was out of my control due to this delay.

It did not happen to me, except in my opinion, I think a $30 “service charge” for returning a vehicle with a quarter tank of gasoline on top of $4.25 a gallon is excessive for gas, considering that a one day rental cost less for a 15 foot trailer. Otherwise, I had no issues and would consider choosing U-Haul for my next move.

Zach was so awesome!! Being a 63 year-old partially techno-illiterate Great Grandma, I was very overwhelmed by the self pay process, & he successfully talked me down from the ceiling!! Thank you Zach for being so kind & helpful!! Kudos!!!

The lighting was good but on several occasions the timer light turned off while I was in my unit leaving me in the dark. Also I think there were homeless people in there the last 2x I was there.
