The 24/7 truck share app experience was rough. 1st problem is the initial directions on where to go and how to start the process was a little confusing. Next, the app itself had some issues. I had to take and retake photos multiple times because the app would just restart to the beginning of both the check in process and return process. The app didn't explain why it didn't like the photos I took, it would just reset to the beginning of the process. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times with no change. I have a current Android phone (Galaxy S21+) so my phone did not appear to be the issue. Please improve the app! The truck share concept for rental seems like a great concept for tech savvy individuals like myself and better attention to app performance would go a long way in making this a better experience.Demetrius T.

Since I was rerouted to this facility, someone in U-Haul r ee's servation system dropped the ball. Great Staff & Equipment, but Big Data Security Risk What I liked: Staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Truck was clean and did the job well. What I did not like: At the time of the renting, U-Haul store takes pictures of my Driver's License via cell phone - which appears to be staff's personal phone (perhaps to upload license photo to U-Haul system). This is a big security risk. There should be better way to capture personal information, with no involvement of external devices to capture data.Hement S.

Truck we rented was TERRIBLE. Not possible to drive at night because the headlights literally could only show 5 feet max of the road in front of you. Throw in a dirty windshield that had wipers that made it worse is the reason we only drove it 19 miles. Way too dangerous and the truck had 146k miles. The Check in from my phone didn't work. They didn't answer the phone after sitting on hold for 17 minutes (more than one time). When I went inside, one lady chubby, white, late 30s was texting or scrolling on her phone. She didn't greet me. The Panamanian guy was very helpful. I was told the tank was at 1/4, but it was 1/16th. The windshield was cracked all the way across, but wasn't noted. That took another call on hold for 17 minutes nobody picked up. Had to use chat. Turned in the truck after hours like I always do. I locked it and used the key drop. Then was charged an after hours fee of $20. My husband went to see them and she was rude. I'll be posting a Google review and using Penske or Budget next time.Phyllis G.

I was told it would be a flat rate 19.99 plus the cost for the dolly. I was charged $100. And a $30 charge for gas when I was told I would get 1/4 gas for free and I only used an 8th of a tank! I also returned it that evening when the employee told me I didn't have to return it until 9am the next morning!?... so why did I get robbed like this? Never again will I use uhaul.ALICIA M.

We moved my son's apartment into a unit over four years ago. When we recently came to get his stuff, we found a U-Haul lock in a slot next to the lock we put on. When we asked the staff, they said that they did not have the key and that the U-Haul lock was required. He said he had been working there two years and they always require that lock. When I told him that we were not required to get that type of lock when we moved in, he said it was required back then also. Obviously he was lying as he was not there four years ago and I was. I called Diane, the manager to see if they had a remedy but alas more terrible service as she never called me back. Probably too embarrassed by there blatant incompetence. We had to call a locksmith to have the U-Haul lock removed for $173. I would never use this location and warn everyone to stay away.Donald M. | Overall Experience
truck mileage leaving location was 63 miles more than what the computer said it should be. I told the manager before I drove away, and she verified the discrepancy. Error should have been fixed immediately but when I returned the truck but it wasn't and the agent tried to charge me for them 79 cents per mile x 63 miles for $47.77 when it should have been fixed before I originally drove away. I've used uhaul many times and this experience has by far been the worst. Pick up location was amazing . The staff was helpful, polite, courteous and friendly. They were above amazing with customer service. The drop of location was the worst experience I have ever had with a business ever. The location itself was clean and tidy. Jarom/ jason not sure exactly his name. ( Light blonde/Reddish fuzzy hair in a bun on his head, wore orange bandana) and the the other man who Claimed to be the assist manager by far worst customer service from those two. You never tell or talk down to your customers. The assistant manager wouldn't reprimand his employee from be obstinate after I asked him several times to stop speaking to me. I even called Diane Talley.....useless ....she just wanted me to use online. I had to continue to tell her employees to stop telling at me so I could even speak to her. The way to this store is run is absolutely ridiculous. I will be calling and filing s formal complaint. They had one employee that went above and beyond to try and fix the situation. Angel May. He apologized even said he was sorry that I shouldn't have been treated like that. You definitely need to go through clean house and hire more people like Angel May.
