There was no trash can anywhere in property to put trash when left the truck there and saw trash & bottles outside on side walk as ppl must have left it. I had bad experience finding a,place to return the truck but my fun finally found chat room on site and was able to find location to return it. This is the second U-Haul van I rented in the past 2 weeks. I find it odd that I have gotten a dirty interior and exterior in both my rentals. This is something important that your company should instill in your employees. Especially in these times.Michael M.
I had rented a truck and wanted to take advantage of your 1 month of free storage. The line was very long and it took an hour between the time I came in, got the truck, then had one of the employees, Javier, show us the units we wanted. I was in a time crunch for my move, so Javier told me that he could reserve the two 5x10 units on the first floor by calling on the phone in a moment to make sure we could finish the reservation process. He never called. When I called later, we had lost the units we were promised and had to settle for a 10x10 unit on the 2nd level, which the move-in twice as hard than if we had gotten the units we were promised. Waited a long time to process my rental. Agent was not very competent. I asked for the College Point drop off and agent could not find it. I looked it up for him and still was an issue. I had to call to see if it was ok to drop the truck there. The U Haul computer also did not pick the closest place to drop the truck off and would have cost me to waste my time. Be clear with customers that when renting a storage it is not part of the reservation for the vehicle. Also, need to be clear with customers that there is no freight elevator to move furniture upstairs. As well as being clear on what time big door is available to move in big furniture. There were two buildings neither of which had any signs that tell which one is building A and which one is building B. This is a bullshit survey. This is why Uhaul sucks--you did not ask any questions about your online experience (which is terrible because all options were disabled), your phone service (which was awful as I waited on hold for TWO HOURS), your policies (incredibly stupid as the return time defaulted to 9:00am even though I specifically told them my return time would be 5:00pm), or the other location I interacted with (which lied to me and said I would be charged $200 if I changed locations because she was being yelled at by a customer who was waiting on my trailer at 9:00am even though I never said I would return it then). Your focus on only the two locations is giving the company an inaccurate portrayal of the overall experience. Ask about the fees and charges. Ask about customer service. If I had the money, I would set up a competitor to you and drive you into the world of Kmart and Sears.Brian S.

Lady who checked me has incompetence that knows no bounds. My word. I had a reservation number and everything and it took her 15min anyway. She also had no idea how to do it, was on the phone with a friend the entire time, and ended up just leaving. Had to be saved by the guy who was moving cars and he helped me in 2min. Also bait and switched on unit, I rented first floor and got second floor which meant thousands of pounds and a mattress to move upstairs, had I not wanted to just be done with the process we would've just gone somewhere else. - The lines are rediculously lengthy to even return the key or gain the truck. No structure in place. - Express lines needs to be implemented for 24/7 truck share options. No point of standing in the same line as those who are not there to get a truck and just taking 20 minutes to ask generic questions. Utter chaos in the facility! - Checkin process is very outdated and slow. - Customer service at Uhaul online is beyond terrible, they don’t have attention to detail, had to rearrange my order a few times because they always end up missing crucial details. - The movers (although a separate entity) did not communicate or show up at all. - “24/7 truck share” option is the biggest joke. You still need to go to the office and wait for an hour in line for your turn to check in for a truck as they need to still verify your license and do 2 phone calls. They always lie on the phone! Only wish it was accessible 24 hours. My work schedule keeps me out until late at night and I had to leave work early to get there while access was available, which meant I lost out on working and money. The staff is AWESOME especially Anky she is the best and José is very friendly and helpful as well. The only suggestion would be to fix the area in the doorways because the large chunks in the concrete make it very difficult to push or pull the carts to the door without loosing your stuff and if the edges were feathered down better the carts would roll much better. The setup with Walk up storage is just not usable. The hours of access to the storage unit through the actual entrance as opposed to the tiny fire door are not customer friendly whatsoever. The staff both in the office and in the facility were very friendly and very helpful.
