I called to make reservations at my local U-Haul and was NEVER told that within 24 hours the pick up location could be changed. Instead of picking up locally it took 2 hours to get the truck 23 miles from home. Moving is stressful so I did not appreciate the lack of transparency. I've used this location a number of times and it has almost always been a nightmare. The latest time I used this location, I knew I was returning after hours so I asked for the code to get back in to retrieve my car and the man told me he would still be there. I tried to get a hold of them and customer service said they were unable to be reached and I had to Uber home and get my car the next day... utterly ridiculous.Ryan Y.

The manager of this facility is incredibly helpful and prompt to respond to inquiries, so she is absolutely an asset. When we moved in and complained about the facility's dirty carpet that made the building smell terribly, she worked to have it removed, and we were very thankful for her effort. This change did help with the smell. The facility was, however, still not as clean as other Uhaul storage facilities that we've utilized in the past. During our move-out, we found a dead mouse and mouse feces in our unit. When we told the Uhaul representative at check-out, he made no response, so I suspect that the dead mouse wasn't exceptional for the facility. Review the â€œcontact-lessâ€ process. If I have to go in and get the keys as well as equipment, it's not really contact-less. When picked up the rental, the lady that helped me was very very good: pleasant, very helpful, and super attentive. The night shift guy was not personable. I got there 10 min before closing. Nevertheless, he should not be eating before the shift ends. Even so, should not be giving me an attitude when I accidentally left pieces of paper. It's his job to clean it regardless and should not be giving me this attitude.Marc S.
Two separate charges were made on my CC and when I called the office number for this branch the person did not help me what so ever. Called the 800 number and got more of the run-around. Totally not worth my time and effort to be on a phone for 30 mins to get my charges back. Talked to FIVE different people never will use this service again from this branch and would rather rent from Enterprise or Penske. Now I have a dispute number after Christina helped me after the previous 2 operators I talked to and still have 2 charges for 95.00 showing on my account. Ordered the truck for 6am pick up and was dropped off assuming the key would be in the lockbox. Waited outside in the cold for an hour for the manager to get there and finally assist me. Although she did get me the truck I needed, I still lost half a day of moving because of this inconvenience. I was unable to load the truck in time to go to the closing for the new house that I just purchased. This experience is not what I expected at all. Moving from NJ to Virginia. We reserved a 26' truck 4 weeks in advance. Less than 24 hours in advance we received a call saying the 26' wasn't available, but we could have a 15'!! Two hours on the phone to U-haul HQ in Arizona & suddenly a 26' truck is available. WTF?KENNETH M.

If you need to rent a Uhaul, don't use the online service. I have no idea why this is an option when it's useless. I placed a reservation for a Uhaul of a certain size at a specific time and location. I never get contacted by Uhaul, even though they claim they will the night before the day you're scheduled to pick up. I arrive promptly the day and time I reserved the truck for at the location I selected. They inform me I was supposed to be picking up at a different location at a different time, as if I'm a mind reader and should have known that without so much as a word from anyone. The location I was apparently supposed to pick up from calls and tells us they have none of the trucks we had reserved but had a cargo van. We had no option so we said we'd take the van. We arrive to this new location, several other customers were there and unhappy. We hear the man behind the desk calling a different customer saying they have no trucks in the size they requested, but they had a 10 foot truck, would they want that? This was beyond frustrating because we had reserved a 10 foot truck and were told none were available. This was obviously bullshit and they were just trying to make up for their poor scheduling system. They gave us unlimited miles to make up for it but the whole situation was nonsense and several other customers had similar issues. I don't think it was this specific location/employees fault. The original location I spoke to indicated the entire online system was essentially a shit show. Uhaul should advise that on their website: go ahead and place a reservation but you won't get anything you ask for! Moving is stressful enough, this company did not help in the slightestRichard A.

I waited over an hour because there was an issue with the reservation i made in your system, even though i went through the online check-in. the attendant working at the time tried to help but it was almost as if she expected me to know what i was supposed to do at every step of the online process which was brand new to me. i had to give alternate contacts which had to be called in order for me to be approved to get keys to the truck i reserved, not really sure what all that was about. I stored my items here fpr 5 years while my daughter and i were in shelter due to her medical issues. She has a heart and lung condition and many times i almost lost our stuff due to not being able to pay. Sherri would never work it out with me or let me pay in increments. She didn't even try to help, yet every 2 months I got a letter saying my rent was increasing FOR NO REASON. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place on earth. Greedy people who don't care about you! Plus EVERY single bag and box had been run through by mice. I had to throw out 75% of mine and my daughters belongings.
