I made my reservation almost a month ago and when I arrived at the location, I was first informed the computers were down and I had to wait roughly one hour for them to come back up. When they finally came back up I was informed by the shift manager, there were no storage units available. I attempted to contact the store manager, but had no response. I next tried to contacted the GM from my cell a couple times to hopefully have the issue resolved, but no luck. I next attempted to call the GM from the store phone and she answered. I explained to her my situation, and she informed me she would make a call to the manager on shift, but never did. The GM was no help at all and never contacted me back to give me an update. Luckily one of the gentleman at the store noticed how frustrated I was because I was waiting for an hour for the computers to come back up and to then be informed there was no storage available. I also had a trailer to return and limited time and he luckily found me another storage unit. This was by far the worst UHAUL experience yet. I had to come to this U-Haul about 4 times in the last few days and I had to wait in line each time for 1 - 1 1/2 hour just to get to the counter and be helped. When you call you're always on hold for at least 25 minutes. My positive experience the trucks were very clean and on my last two visits the associate named Sheldon was very friendly, patient and helpful! He was very understanding, didn't rush me explaining everything! Props to Sheldon!!!Penny J.

Tremendous lines for service. Staff do not answer phones when busy in store. Tremendous traffic in and out of lot causing difficulties obtaining and returning your vehicle. Mobile pick up and drop off did not work. Waited as much as 60mins in line to speak to someone. High volume and understaffed. If other customers experiences are like my UHaul experience then I don't think there's much to improve. I'm sure there are things you can improve on but I did not notice that myself. Your crew and managers were awesome! I cannot say enough about Dayna Rodriguez over at the 9505 N Florida location. She has been absolutely professional, patient, caring, attended to my bad experience I had over at the Miami location in South Dixie highway by Dadeland. Dayna made my bad experience much better! She treated me with respect and felt like she was a close friend. I wish UHAUL had a Dayna in each location. From what I seen she puts in a lot of time and effort into her job. Working very long hours. Dayna actually met with me when I returned the keys to the truck well after closing time to make sure that my return and experience was good. I felt like she gave me the Royal treatment. Give this woman a promotion and a fat raise!!! She definitely deserves that from whet I've seen. She deserves something!!! UHAUL treat her right!!! The equipment was well kept. However, being a non-smoker the smoke smell in the truck was difficult when I first picked up the truck. Also, I placed my reservation on-line, but when I arrived the staff pulled up my reservation and required me to have 100 miles on my contract. I understand that is only a hold on my account, but the staff said it was required by the General Manager. I was very local and only ended up using 18 miles. My online entry was 30 not 100. Please allow for a lower mileage amount for local moves.Daniel R.

The time it takes to check in is unacceptable. We did early check in online and arrived with plenty of time to check in prior to our pick up time and it still took forever to get out of there. We waited 40 mins to be able to pick up truck after arriving. They claim it the computer system. Used them years ago and it was the same thing then too. Amber uses that annoying tone she's very unhelpful very rude and tried to charge us for a hundred miles when we're using less than 10CASSANDRA A.

There were a couple of issues with my reservation. I booked the 1st week of July. However, when I arrived for my check-in I was told the storage unit I booked wasn’t available. The unit I was given in replacement was smaller then I booked. At the end of the day I was still able to fit my things miraculously. The store was able to rectify the situation at the end of the day as well. The reason for this rating is because i made my reservation three weeks before my arrival. When I got there the front person said they can see my reservation was made on 7-12-2021 but someone gave the stroage to someone else. I needed to extend my rental so I called the location and was given incorrect information on who I needed to contact to extend. I spoke with 2 people regarding extending my rental AND asked about the mileage with one way rentals. Both times I was told that it would only be $40 to extend. Once I dropped off the same person I spoke with said she didn't remember the conversation. It didn't matter to me about the mileage, I just wanted to confirm the procedure/policy. To be told 1 thing twice and then it be different when I dropped off was not professional to me.FRANCES S.

At the after hours check out it was a dangerous mess. The website pictures an orange drop off box for the keys however it is a slot although it says drop off it looks like the orange box had been taken. The entrance door however was left open so I though I had to drop off the key at a box inside but there wasn't one and I triggered the alarm. Waited for a while to police to show up but management came like swat, thank God they did not draw guns on us. You should really consider updating the key drop location picture on the site, it was pretty dangerous.luis C.

The only complaint I have is that I was not able to drop off the dolly at "any" Uhaul location. This was new to me. I had to drive another 15 miles to reach a center which would accept it. The location I was directed to go to was quite a distance form mine.Robert Z.

Check-in was long and difficult; I estimated I would drive 10 miles because I was just keeping the truck at home for yard stuff in case of the storm. They wanted to put a standard $100 mileage hold on my card until I asked for the manager. She grudgingly dropped it to a $50 mileage hold. I only drove 7 miles!! In contrast, checkout with Christina was wonderfulâ€”easy and pleasant. She charged me for one day instead of two because I brought it back the next day.THEO B.

Redirected to this Uhaul 25 mins from uhaul I booked because uhaul (Ybor city Tampa) did not have my requested reservation available. Again, uhaul should not allow customers to book/reserve rooms/trucks/accessories without promising these items will be there. Especially at free driving for 12 hours all day it's really tough when you arrive and your storage unit isnt available. Also, had to put my mother's stuff in non conditioned room because the climate control room I booked was not available upon arriving. U-Haul I did my part as a customer in reserving my storage unit, it's not good business to leave people out to dry. I will continue going up the ladder due to my experience.Garrett P.

It is far too difficult for me to climb stairs with heavy items in a non-climate controlled unit. That is my fault for agreeing to a first available unit on the second floor. Although the staff was helpful, the situation was a disaster. I made a reservation on line for the biggest storage unit and when I got there the storage unit I reserved was already occupied. This caused me to have to get a smaller unit which makes my life more hectic than it already is, due to having to pull everything out each time I want something out of the unit. Not only that every time I book something with Uhaul the name that shows up on my reservation which is not my name but it is all my information every time the staff has to go in and fix it so it can reflect my name. I was giving the wrong unit twice, both in which I moved in and had to move out within a hour. Then I was told to go to another location. When I tried to leave my gate code didn't work. When I finally got out of the gate and arrived at the next facility, my coffee didn't work to get into the facility. The storage facility was clean and well maintained and easily accessible. But the representative I worked with to check in was a bit rude when I explained that I already had a disk lock and did not need to purchase one. Additionally I was a bit confused with the insurance. I added it on for my first month and asked if I could take it off for the second to save a bit of money since for the second "month" as I will only be in the unit for three additional days. At this point I was told the insurance was mandatory even though it is billed as optional when I selected the unit online. It's completely fine if I need to have the insurance I was just a bit confused as that was the first time I heard it referred to as required.Samantha B. | First Impressions

I felt cheated by a unit with steel column taking up approx 4 square feet in almost dead center of my floor and was given a paltry discount which took 3 months to finally be given. And then when I was I think 6 days late moving out they tried to charge me for an entire month. Then Katrina told me to talk to Marcus to settle it , he gave me a price of half a month , a week more than I used , and then they sent me a bill for another half month even after I moved out a week before the half month I paid for .
