The young lady who helped me was amazing! I've had a rough go of it the entire week U-Haul has messed up several orders and then I got a leaky truck and damaged property I was willing to give up on U-Haul. Then the young woman at this facility that waited on me changed my mind. She was phenomenal compassionate and extremely professional. In my mind she's due for a promotion a raise of bonus pat on the back all of that and more. She is by far the best representation of your company I have encountered in a long while. Do right by her or I will steal her from you for my company

I’ve already recommended you guys to my friends. Customer Service was beautiful, I didn’t get the young lady name but she was actually supposed to be off this day. I’m glad she was there.. I made reservations for a storage unit and a truck before I came in to the store. And the person over the phone booked me for storage unit there at telegraph and 8 mile but uhaul truck at another facility.... But this young lady made sure I could get everything I needed in one stop. I thank her because it was convenient for me. I applaud her customer Service and her kindness.. She did everything by herself with no one else there helping using two and three cash registers and six people in line.

I was very disappointed with staff when the customer befor me wasgiven a month free with out renting a trailer until the next day# 1 I couldn't rent the trailer until the next day and I was denied the first months rent because I wasn't a female. Then they refused to except my payments via phone or set up a direct payment I couldn't get there and they sold my unit because they don't answer the phone and place you on hold for 45 minutes then you can't get ahold of them or tell you to hold and never come back on the phone or just plain hang up on you and never call you back !!! Please call me back at 248 8009829 to discuss I am very disappointed I lost several thousand in my tools and I am disabled 24 years now at 53 years old they took my extra money I once lived on away disrespected me because I am not black that is racist towards me from day one the couldn't show me where my unit was when I rented my unit They were closing and refused to allow me to view it before they closed so I actually did not get the unit until the next day either

I did not appreciate having to use up 5-6 miles (that I had to ultimately pay for) to immediately go to the gas station to put gas into such a large vehicle that could have cut off on me because it was that far into the EMPTY area.

I reserved a vehicle 48 hours before I needed it. Got there and there was no key in there. Had to contact customer service, eventually they located another vehicle almost an hour after my intended reservation and I was almost stopped from getting the rental at the latter location which took more time explaining to the staff there

In Cincinnati, the location I selected did not have the tow dolly available I requested. I received a call the day before which said I was all set, which was not the case. In the future, a phone call confirming the deal we struct should confirm the deal we struck. Luckily my brother visited me so he could drive my car, but we lost 4 hours of bonding time because U-Haul promised what it could not deliver. Thankfully a center in Detroit had a tow-dolly so I could spend some time with my dad, but still, we had to flex to make it work. The U-Haul in Wisconsin was convenient, friendly, and I felt they cared about my business. They informed me I should have gotten a $50 rebate for the mistake, which the Cincinnati did not. In summary Wisconisin/ Detroit U-Haul: good, Cincinnati/ National U-Haul: bad.

I do not believe anything can be done to improve for the next customer, as it couldn't get any better. I had the best experience I've encountered renting a moving vehicle. Each associate that I dealt with was very patient, informational and understanding. I will return to this location next time and will be sure to recommend friends and family. I had a pretty good experience, but it seemed like they were overwhelmed and disorganized. I booked online and checked in and everything, but I had to wait 30 minutes before being seen. Additionally, there were no U-Haul moving blankets, no utility dollies, and no furniture dollies. Additionally, the truck I was given was parked in the middle and I could not get out without assistance from another team member.

I do not recommend Uhaul at 48219. Poor business practices. Poor communication. Inconsistent information. Over billed. Storage hours not accessible and not accurate. I will not recommend this facility to anyone. Terrible customer service. Manager is not truthful nor transparent. . As of today I have not been contacted about over billing discrepancies.

This location knows how to handle business - even when I brought them a mess of a situation due to a bunch of mistakes from a neighborhood dealer in another state. The assistant manager, Ashley, was very kind, apologetic, and helpful. She reimbursed us for charges we never should have accumulated in the first place (due to the other location's mistake). I highly recommend this location if you want U-haul business done right!

I made a reservation for a Uhaul truck on 8 mile between Evergreen and Southfield Fwy and when I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that I was left a voicemail telling me to pick up from another location. I never got the voicemail. Once I got to the new location where I was told to go pick up the truck (9 Mile and Telegraph) I was told that they were out of trucks and could not service me. I eventually found a truck at the 8 mile and Telegraph location and they were fast and friendly. There was no apology at neither one of the 2 stores for delaying my time by a hour. Please make sure locations have trucks before over booking.

It took me almost an hour at this store. During the walk-around of the truck the pictures of the truck look as if they have never been updated. The pictures showed a newer truck with no damage at all. The first truck they tried renting me had extremely bent and broken skirting, dented bumpers and the graphics on the sides of the truck were all torn and peeling off. Which I could've dealt with until after about 10 mins of taking pics of the sides and rear of the truck. Once I got to taking pics of the front of the truck I noticed that it didn't even have a right turn signal assembly, it was broken off the truck completely. So I had to go back inside and inform them of the damage to the truck. After informing manager of the damage to the truck she swapped my truck out for another one and was given another truck that looked almost the same condition besides it had both turn signals. After 10 more minutes of updating pics of damage (so I wouldnt be charged) for damage I didn't do I finally left the lot with the truck. Once on Telegraph rd I noticed the front suspension was a little loose so I just made sure to take it slow and drive cautiously to avoid pot holes etc. I finally got to my customers house(2hours late) and couldn't back the truck in their driveway because the power steering unit wasn't working properly so I had to load the truck from the street. I returned the truck during my rental period and informed the employee checking in trucks that the power steering wasn't working properly, the front suspension was loose and that I overfilled the gas to make sure I wasn't charged a service fee of 35.00 and 4.50gallon and his only response to me was" where he marks the tank is where the next customers trip starts". He had nothing to say about the truck functioning improperly. All in all the ladies in the office were helpful and courteous but the upkeep condition of the trucks are subpar. Also, I've been driving commercial trucks for 17years. I've clocked near a million miles and the 49 miles I drove this uhaul was the worst experience with uhaul I have ever had(mechanically)

Seeing it's COVID season I decided to get u-haul through your app. I selected the option to pick up the vehicle myself. Went through all the prompts on your app and finally got to the step to grab the key from the safety box. As I was punching in the code to retrieve the key. A u-haul employee walked up to me and demanded to see what I was doing. She then made me show her my phone to see what I had on there. She then proceeded to open the safety box herself, telling me only she can retrieve the key and then grabbed the key at which point I got annoyed and told her she was wrong to have grabbed my key (CONSIDERING WE ARE STILL IN A PANDEMIC) and I had chosen to use the "pick it up myself" option. I told her she wasn't supposed to intervene or even walk upto me without a mask and grabbing my keys. At which point she proceeded to curse me out. This was the worst customer experience ever and I will not be using u-haul again at this location or any other for that matter.

When I finally got the keys to the truck it was not clean. It had a cardboard visor still in the windshield. There was only 1/4 tank of gas in the truck when I received the keys. When I returned the truck, I filled it with the 1/4 tank of gas I was given and I was still charged for gas. I will not rent from this location again. I will not recommend this location to anyone and I will strongly consider options other than Uhaul in the future.

When we picked the u-haul up the engine light was in and the oil light was on . The mechanic at u-haul put 8 qts of oil in it to get it full , the u-haul had the worst when alignment I've ever felt driving a vehicle and it smelled horribly of cigarettes I would not recommend this location at all if my life depended on it

On top of being rude in general during our truck rental process, the manager would not honor what the phone customer service promised for the storage unit we reserved. I was told twice my 1st month would be free. U-Haul records calls so that could easily be confirmed since I knew exactly when I called. We left & tried customer service on the phone again, which after 40minutes on hold said there was nothing they could do (untrue as they could have applied a credit). So after the terrible experience, I went with a slightly more expensive storage company who didn't have a first month free but much better service. I wonder if people do math in these situations? For the length of time I'm probably storing items they would have made 15-18 times the value of 1 free month. During these times, if I'm spending upwards of $3000 somewhere, I want to at least like the business. It's worth it to spend more with a smaller company who values my patronage. I'm an event producer so I move & store things frequently. This is the 3rd strike for U-Haul & they'll never see my money again.

I was asked if I wanted insurance I told the lady at the counter no she charged me anyway for it and told me right away she did it by accident and that she would Reimburse me when I dropped the truck off. I dropped the truck after hours and called once they opened and was told they couldn't do that and the dirk was knew and didn't know why she was talking about and she should have fixed it before I left. But how is that my fault I said no I didn't want it and guess what didn't need it. I know it's not allot of money but it's money I didn't want or need to spend

You can learn to calculate the mileage accurately by not telling you to drop off and have some employee tell you that you don't need to go in , you'll get a receipt if you use a credit card when we all know that's the only way to reserve a vehicle .

I’m not pleased at all and will never get a storage through U-Haul again. I was moved out of my storage unit before I could ask any questions. It was the day after Christmas when I was moved out of my storage unit, The office was closed on Christmas when I purchased my unit and I had questions before I moved in it. When I called up to the office I was rudely advised that if I didn’t come put my lock on my unit they will close it out. I also advised the lady over the phone that I purchased the unit on Christmas and had questions before I moved in but I couldn’t ask them because they had already moved me out. I was proceeded to be put on hold for over an hour. I went into the office to find out why I was moved out my storage unit they told me they didn’t have a reason in the box and they I would have to get a whole new storage unit and pay for insurance again, so I asked for my money back and I was told they didn’t do refunds and that I would have to call corporate. I called customer service and they told me that, that information was wrong and they are able to give a refund but by the store manager. She tried to contact the store and nobody answered the phone I had to walk in for her to speak to the employees that were scheduled. They told me she would give me a call within three days and I received a call on Monday regarding my refund. I spoke to the manager and gave her the information. I still haven’t received my refund and I know with the card I used a refund should not take this long due to it not being a major bank.

I rate this cause my kids 45 inch flat screen tvs were stolen out my unit! I made a complaint and still nothing has happen. Nothing were replace! Noone has called me! & my children still doesnt have their t.v.s we finally moved into our home. Smh the day I moved my things out of storage was the day one of the employees had to cut a lock off that wasnt my original lock! The employees had no idea who cut my original lock off let alone didnt know who replace my lock. Theif nor thieves I condoned!

Made reservations for truck when I got there had smaller truck and no dolly for heavy furniture that I also reserve which prolong my moving out my storage. They charge me for 2 days instead of 1 day. Very disappointed in the overall experience.

I did my move out online and it was “pending approval” for over 3 weeks. in that 3 weeks, i got multiple notices of late payments on my unit as well as a pre-lien notice. They even sent it to my emergency contact (my mom) in the mail with her name. I called uhaul multiple times throughout that 3 week period to tell them to stop sending me notices and to finish my move out. all they could do is send a message to the manager of the store who clearly is either overworked or horrible at his job considering how long it took him to do anything about it. I was a loyal uhaul customer for all my multiple moves throughout the last couple of years but I will never be using uhaul again and will tell others of my experience.

Great location, VERY clean and the staff was always polite and super helpful! The only recommendation would be that someone answer the phone. I was trying to set things up from a different state and couldn’t reach anyone by phone, had to do everything in person with this location. Despite this hiccup I would HIGHLY recommend them for any and all storage needs.
